Umichi Kamimizu - Team 15

Umichi's expression of delight fell as she read the test. What on earth was this? She could figure out any number of math formulas, knew ninja lore better than anyone else there! It felt unfair to have that put to waste. Her first thought was how could she get her teammates to write down her own name down. Senzo would be easy, he was a big teddy bear. Tetsuya though, he'd probably write his own name, just like she would. She'd write 'me', he'd write 'me' and they'd both fai....

Inspiration hit Umichi as she read the paper again. They could use pronouns. If they all wrote 'me', wouldn't they all pass? Their team would pass....

Umichi reread the note, and slapped her head. Then a devilish smile came across her face. Now to contact the two. Looking at the clock, they hardly had much time left. Umichi moved quickly, drawing her fan, and wafting it under her desk. Glistening on their desks in water from the room, both Tetsuya and Senzo would see the message.

"Team name"

Hiro Uemura - Team 4

Hiro looked at the instructions again, before groaning. He was the best at fighting, not this smart stuff. He'd figured he could just leave that stuff up to Suzume. Now they were sitting half way across the room, he couldn't cheat off her.

Out of aggrevation, he started flipping his knives as the time ticked, trying to calm down. He had to be able to do something, he couldn't fail his team. Who on earth was he going to choose? Sighing loudly again (to other's annoyance), he sat down, and wrote 'Suzume', before he went back to his knife flipping. On of the kunai got embedded on the ceiling. Hiro grunted too, that was a Yuki brand knife, those kind were especially lusterious. Looking at it, Hiro noticed that it reflected the teacher's desk. An idea hit, and several more knives found themselves 'accidentally stuck' in the cieling, Hiro finding one that read 'Suzume Saionji' ontop. The knives were positioned so that Kumori could see Suzume's paper as well. Suzume had written Team 4.

Hiro didn't get it, but that had to be the 'right' answer. So he wrote down Team 4 too.

TimeSkip

The clock struck the 15 minute mark, and without missing a beat, one of the examiners who had been checking for cheating stood, and raised his hand with a stopwatch in it. The most interesting thing was the fact that the examer had a blindfold on, and the majority of his face covered.

"Time!"

Standing up, he bowed to the proctor.

"Dead Eye, if you would allow me, for this is why I'm here."

With a quick handsign, a vaccuum formed infront of him, pulling everyone's papers towards him, grabbing them out the air. His hands moved quickly and inhumanly so through the papers, sorting through the team names.

Neat files appeared in the desk infront of him, with nearly half the papers still in his hand. The ones in his hand ripped to shreds seemingly on command as wind chakra shredded them.

"These are the teams that have passed the first part of the exam. The rest of you have failed to write a singular name. In addition, I would like to advise half of these that have passed that they not truly passed. Should a single name be written on, you have followed orders, but not taken everything you need to complete the mission. You ALWAYS take everything you need for the mission, and nothing you do not. You needed to write your teamname to pass truly. The rest may participate in the next portion of the exam, but without your whole team, you'll be fodder. Passing teams will meet tomorrow at the small town of Edo 10 miles south of here. I will see you there."

Raising the blindfold, a white eye was seen in a flash before he pulled it back down.

Tsukiko~ Team 2

The small girl scratched her head roughly, trying to figure it out before the time was up. She glanced up at the ticking clock and gritted her teeth. Tsukiko only had five minutes left. Her brain ached from trying to force out an answer. In the end, she scratched out a wobbly '2' seconds before the next proctor arrived and it was sucked away from her. Tsukiko put more pressure against her teeth, worrying that she cost her team. Why did she have to be so stupid?

Kiko ran her fingers through her hair roughly and searched for her teammates. She knew that she had probably cost them, a fact that made her want to cry. Would they hate her? was the question that kept replaying in her mind. However, when the man said something about writing their teamname, she blinked up at him. There was a short pause before Tsukiko realized that was what she had done. Relief crashed over her and she slumped into her seat with a sigh.
