I've ditched that rambunctious troll me quite awhile ago lolGilzar said:@Atom
What? A job atom? Why, if I didn't know any better I'd say your slowly becoming a respectable member of society and not the rambunctious troll from that other website we don't speak of.
Anyway though welcome to the world of employment. I was introduced just last year..
I was just doing that for added affect, and it was a one time thing. Plus, they were shocked from suddenly changing locations and the chakra surge. They wouldn't be in any shape to even contemplate dodging, much less do it.Pine said:Okay guys, so luckily this isn't happening in my interactions but... I've been noticing a lot of auto-hitting going on just recently in the role play?
And... I don't think that's okay.
Even if your character is infinitely more skilled than someone else's character, it still isn't fair to assume things like that.
Maybe their character would have at least ATTEMPTED to dodge in time and they would have taken the hit differently?
I know this can lead to posts awkwardly being cut short, so if it really bothers you that much and it really IS just a little thing, ask the role player(s) it's going to be affecting if that's alright with them before incorporating it into your post.
I can't really tell you what to do, obviously I'm not the GM so apologies @Gilzar but really... it's just a courtesy thing and I feel the need to address it.
Oh, okay. Sorry Pine, and I kind of agree. But, as it will be found out, being too low wouldn't have helped them.Pine said:I can understand your reasoning, and logically no, they wouldn't have a chance to dodge, but that's still a no bueno in role playing.
You have to trust in the maturity of other role players sometimes (which yes, there will be times that you will be disappointed) or you have to talk to them.
What if someone were to have been knocked off their feet in shock?
They would have been too low for the scythe aiming at whoever is standing up.
It's not just you though, which is why I'm bringing it up here.
Not to mention that there wasn't any way for me to know for sure it would have been a one time deal.
Almost exactly how I would do it.Pine said:You're fine, thanks for being understanding. * w *
In the future... like, what I do is just describe what my character intends to do, an approximate likelihood that it would work, and/or the probable effects of it (perhaps with an "unless they ____").
