ALRIGHT FELLAS

POST IS DONE AND NOW IT'S TIME TO TALK ABOUT ME

So I'm 99% sure that Goats is the only one here familiar with the hipster incident, so I guess they're the only person here that could possibly know precisely how much fun I have pulling borderline stalkerish schemes irl... but that's another story.

Now we open the chapter to God Guy, Guitar Dork Guy and Drug Guy.

So last semester, I spent a lot of time exploring the dorm for the fun of it because the layout of this building is might confusing with some stairwells leading up to the legendary fourth floor and others just stop at the second floor, so people who don't live here have absolutely no clue about how to navigate this place.

I was determined to be THAT person who knew where everything was, and during my adventures of exploring all the different hidden halls, I stumbled upon one person's door that had an extremely amusing way of filling out this questionnaire posted on his door and with some really awesome art to scribbled around it to boot.

So this person is obviously the rare breed of real life human beings that actually has the same sense of humor as me, and this mysterious man by the name of God later helped a little with inspiring me for a future character.

In any case, I have been insatiably curious about God Guy ever since, but I never have any LEGITIMATE excuse to wander down that hall, so I'm completely at a loss of who this guy is.

Later, I begin to see this one guy frequently around the dorm, and honestly, something about his appearance intrigues me.

I want to get to know this dude, because he looks so awkward and dorky and just you know MY KIND OF PEOPLE, but I only pass him by and have absolutely no excuse to stop and talk to him (also I'm trying to take in subtle observations about his appearance possibly for future characters).

So I just pay special close attention to Dork Guy any time I see him, and eventually I notice that he carries those big black things that all the art kids have.

Even later, I find that he turns down the same hall that God Guy lives in!

At first I didn't make any sort of connection about this, but then I wondered... what if Dork Guy is ACTUALLY God Guy?

All of this was processed, like, SUPER subconsciously.

So today has been super meh because I keep remembering that I have all this work to do that I'm ignoring and school ends in three weeks.

I saw Dork Guy whenever I was walking out and notice that he now had a little bit of a stubble, which was kind of disappointing because he's usually pretty clean shaven, but then I had the depressing realization that it doesn't even matter because I'm going to be in another dorm next semester, HE'S probably going to be in a different dorm, and this campus is so huge, I'll probably never see him again anyway.

Hours later, I think about this even more and about ALL these different people I may only have this small time frame to get to know, and that at this point the only way I can ACTUALLY get to meet them is by making a move.

So I start unintentionally hatching a plan to do this, because just going up and TALKING to these people is MUCH too simple, and the stalker method is always best!

I consulted my roommate about these ideas I was toying with (basically pretending to conduct a poll just to figure out who lives where and subtly sneak in some way of getting to know that guy/both of them better while doing this down their hall), and she eventually began to share in my enthusiasm of my stupid plan and built on it, suggesting we could find some way to camp out there.

(Side note that my roommate was with me when I excitedly discovered God Guy and I had casually told her about Dork Guy because I was musing one day about how sometimes I get fascinated by these people that I don't think are considered conventionally attractive.)

Though at one point she hesitated, asking where this hall was, because if it was the one with the giant Cyberman made out of post-it notes, then that was where Drug Guy went (not going to go into details about him, but basically he's someone for her to avoid and me to beat the shit out of) and she wouldn't be comfortable with staking out there like we had started to plan.

So I kind of jumped on the idea of us walking down there to double check, and lo and behold, when we were almost at the hall, she asked "Is that the hall you're talking about?" and sadly, yes, it was Cyberman hall.

(THIS ALSO MADE ME A LITTLE UPSET, BECAUSE WHAT IF DORK/GOD GUY WAS DRUG GUY ALL ALONG???!!?!)

This started to put a lot of pressure on my plans because I don't have the confidence to just SIT in that hall by myself.

But in the hall we were hiding out in at the moment, someone turned down it, so we had to go ahead and proceed with our plans of passing through Cyberman hall.

There are these tiny stairs and these posts you have to go around before reaching Cyberman hall, but I thought I caught a glimpse of Dork Guy, and then I was able to look and see that it WAS in fact Dork Guy (carrying one, maybe two guitars?)!!

So I was all excited and my roommate finally got to see a little bit of a glimpse of Guitar Dork Guy and we of course ~*~*~ casually ~*~*~ went on with our plans to move down the hall, but needless to say, I saw where his room was!

creepy, right?!

So Guitar Dork Guy has been confirmed to be neither God Guy or Drug Guy, which is great!

Not only that, but we now know EXACTLY which doors we would go to if we were to follow through with the poll thing.

Anyway, now equipped with this knowledge, I'm currently plotting out my next move.

(i'm such a creep, but this is ALL be done in the good name of friendship, so that makes it okay!)

im watchim a show w/friend bt a++ good

Good job Pine A++++++++++++++++. Now, when you say Cyberman hall....do you mean Cyberman from DW? If so, I'd very much like to see this sticky noted Cyberman...

Good job Atom

@Atom

What? A job atom? Why, if I didn't know any better I'd say your slowly becoming a respectable member of society and not the rambunctious troll from that other website we don't speak of.

Anyway though welcome to the world of employment. I was introduced just last year..

I've ditched that rambunctious troll me quite awhile ago lol

Okay guys, so luckily this isn't happening in my interactions but... I've been noticing a lot of auto-hitting going on just recently in the role play?

And... I don't think that's okay.

Even if your character is infinitely more skilled than someone else's character, it still isn't fair to assume things like that.

Maybe their character would have at least ATTEMPTED to dodge in time and they would have taken the hit differently?

I know this can lead to posts awkwardly being cut short, so if it really bothers you that much and it really IS just a little thing, ask the role player(s) it's going to be affecting if that's alright with them before incorporating it into your post.

I can't really tell you what to do, obviously I'm not the GM so apologies @Gilzar but really... it's just a courtesy thing and I feel the need to address it.

I was just doing that for added affect, and it was a one time thing. Plus, they were shocked from suddenly changing locations and the chakra surge. They wouldn't be in any shape to even contemplate dodging, much less do it.

I can understand your reasoning, and logically no, they wouldn't have a chance to dodge, but that's still a no bueno in role playing.

You have to trust in the maturity of other role players sometimes (which yes, there will be times that you will be disappointed) or you have to talk to them.

What if someone were to have been knocked off their feet in shock?

They would have been too low for the scythe aiming at whoever is standing up.

It's not just you though, which is why I'm bringing it up here.

Not to mention that there wasn't any way for me to know for sure it would have been a one time deal.

Oh, okay. Sorry Pine, and I kind of agree. But, as it will be found out, being too low wouldn't have helped them.

You're fine, thanks for being understanding. * w *

In the future... like, what I do is just describe what my character intends to do, an approximate likelihood that it would work, and/or the probable effects of it (perhaps with an "unless they ____").

Almost exactly how I would do it.
