♡Sweet Little Reaper of Death♡
Noriko

A girl with long vibrant red hair and dark red eyes is nervous staring at the building school building. She wears a black ninja outfit with a bright red scarf wrapped around her neck. On her arms, she wore long combat gloves that reach up to her elbows due to its hidden features and her village headband on her right arm. " Come on Noriko..." She hears her guardian say to her. She fidgets in her spot wanting to leave. She didn't want to join a team. They wouldn't like her. She is an outsider. She isn't normal. She's... she clenches her fists tightly. She can't breathe. She felt a hand on her back and she looks at her guardian again. Almost as if he read her mind, "You'll never know until you walk through those doors, you know" the girl looks at him and then at the building.

He is right. She can't really stand here, but... She shakes her head. Just smile and be friendly... she takes a deep breath and walks in to meet her new teammates.

Eric

A male with light brown hair and black eyes is leaning back on his chair with his eyes closed. He wears a black mask covering his mouth and nose with whisker-like holes on the side and a black hoodie with ears completing the black cat look. The rest of his out is black as well, include the pouch on his side and the sheathed short on his black.

He, his teacher and his teammate have been waiting for their supposed new teammate they have never seen, show up today to form teams. Despite his lazy appearance, he is curious about this new person. Wondering what the teammate is like and why hasn't the person shown up to any of to school before. He hopes the person isn't... annoying and thinks he or she is special in any way just because they didn't have to come to school. That would be such a drag to deal with.

He then hears the door open and looks to see a girl with vibrant red hair and blood red-eyes walk into the room. She looks stiff, very stiff. The stops and looks back at the open door and sees her look back at him and his teammate then back out whoever is at the door. She slowly nods, with a slightly defeated look on her face. She walks over to their teacher and politely bow, "I am Noriko Hayate. Nice to meet you."

Tsuki didn't like waiting -- what was taking so long? She was bored. She had arrived next to last, only getting there just before their sensei -- who refused to tell them who she was until their third teammate arrived. The boy, Eric, she knew from classes at the academy, but the other one who had been put on their team, Noriko, she didn't recognize the name.

Tsuki was stretched out, her long legs covered by ripped black jeans along with her ripped shirt and studded jacket. Her hair, long, straight and black, fell freely around her to her waist, though she had it tucked behind her ear on the one side, revealing piercings all the way around her ear. She fiddled with a kunai while waiting, twirling it around her finger in a bored fashion.

When the door finally slid open and the new girl came in, Tsuki finally looked up, tilting her head with interest at the newbie. She didn't recognize the girl from classes, either, so maybe she wasn't losing her mind. Noriko, huh? She looked awkward -- shame. Tsuki had been hoping for someone who might be fun, but this girl didn't look like she would be any fun at all with how stiff and awkwardly she seemed.

Mai Rin waited for the last one of her team to arrive. She had refused to introduce herself to the other two, despite already knowing them and having done a precursory assessment while they were in the academy. The only one she didn't know about was Kakashi's new charge, Noriko. She felt a little bit like she was going in blind because of it. She couldn't help but smile a bit when the time for them to meet had come and gone, though -- it was just like Kakashi to be late. Becoming the Hokage hadn't changed that.

When the door finally slid open and Noriko wandered in, Kakashi staying out in the hall, Mai raised her eyebrows at the girl, deliberately not casting a glance at her guardian.

"You're late, Noriko. I don't like to be kept waiting so from now on, if you're not on time, you'll be left behind," she said and then finally turned to actually introduce herself to the rest of the squad.

"I'm Mai Rin. Don't bother telling me your names -- Chances are you won't make it onto the team, anyway. In the event you actually manage to pass the test and make it, we can talk names then."

Noriko blinks, they were late? But her dad said that she was on time... Then again, from what she has heard, her dad has always been late to important meetings before and after he became Hokage, so this, unfortunately, makes sense. She slowly nods to the teacher. " Sorry..." she says meekly before taking her seat.

She wonders what they are going to do as a team first. Are they going to start off with something simple? or do something mildly hard like an escort mission or something. She tilts her head a bit, Well we are beginners... so obviously something-- she stops when she hears the next few words that left her teacher's mouth, catching her completely off guard. There is a high chance they won't make it onto the team? No, it sounds more like she doesn't believe they can make the team. This is weird... she thought teachers are supposed to be encouraging and believe in their students, not the other way around.

Noriko clenches her fists tightly. Not sure what to think of this.

"So then... sensei, what is this test we are going to do?" The cat male asks rather calmly, not fazed by what their teacher said at all. Is he not worried about failing? Or is he confident that he will pass the test? Maybe it's the latter, how else can he stay of calm? The red hair girl slowly looks up at their teacher waiting for her answer.

Tsuki's interest perked at what Mai Sensei said. Not make it onto the team? Test? Her sister hadn't told her anything about a test. Her eyes darted to Eric when he spoke up and then back to their sensei but not before scanning over the new girl -- Noriko. She looked tense.
---------
"It's a practical test. And, if you've paid any attention to your studies, it shouldn't be very hard." Mai paced over to the window, looking out at the village and keeping a straight face. She remembered when she was in the same position as these kids here and how worried she'd been that she wouldn't make it onto the team. She had been such a child then, even at 14. And her appointment to jonin was still relatively recent, she was young and this was her first time being a team leader. She had argued with Kakashi vehemently when he had told her she was going to be leading a team this round, but there was only so much you can actually argue with Kakashi Hatake that he would actually listen. Most of the shinobi her age wouldn't dream of arguing with him anyway since he was the Hokage and everything. She, on the other hand, recognized that, yes, he was the Hokage and he had a lot of power. But he was also still a shinobi, just like she was.
-----------
Mai turned and, when she did, Tsuki saw that she was holding two little, silver bells on short strings. They jingled softly, the ribbons held tightly between her fingers. "All you have to do," their sensei continued, "is get one of these bells. If you can manage to do that, then you'll be on the team."

That was all? Tsuki's eyes narrowed, thinking about what she had just heard. She glanced quickly at the other two who were supposed to be on her squad: Eric and Noriko. Three shinobi, two bells. Under that logic, only two of them would be on the team. But, if this was a standard test, then how come all the other teams had three students and one jonin? Was this uncommon? Or was there something that she was missing? What's more, they had been taught that, yes, individual power was important to a shinobi and you should always work to get better. But shinobi worked in either teams or in pairs for a reason -- they were stronger as a team. So why was their sensei pitting them against each other to get some bells if that was the case? It didn't add up. Unless it was all a test.

Tsuki rolled her eyes at this last thought. Of course it was a test, Mai Sensei had literally just said so.

"What kind of test is this?" Tsuki finally asked, her eyes narrowed. It seemed like a trick test. Though, she supposed that if it was, Mai Sensei wouldn't tell them so.
-------------
"I told you. It's a practical test." To assess your skills and your teamwork, Mai added to herself, her eyes going between each student. The one who had been playing with the kunai, bored moments before, Tsuki, had suddenly perked up with interest. Mai could see the wheels turning behind her eyes and practically hear her thoughts as she tried to process this information. The boy, Eric, was harder to read with the mask.

Noriko

Noriko stares at her teacher nervously, not expecting this kind of test at all. Thought, she is pretty sure her father expected this. Maybe that's why he put me in this group... she thinks. Maybe he wanted to see what she can do, that would be like him. He is the Hokage after all and it would be weird if his daughter didn't try to become a Shinobi like him.

She looks back at her teammate wondering why they are aiming to become shinobis. Is it because of their parents too? Or maybe something more personal? She looks back at her teacher, waiting for further instructions.

Eric

Eric clicks his tongue softly at the mention of the test. Interesting. Two bells and three teammates seems a bit fishy. Well, once the test starts he'll be able to put the pieces together soon enough. He glances at his teammates, Tsuki looks eager and intrigued by the test while... if he remembers correctly, Noriko Hatake seems nervous and confused about it.

Well, the girl has never been to school before. He wonders if she was homeschooled or something. Would make sense. He looks back at the teacher and notices the silence in the room again. Well, they aren't gonna get anywhere if they sit around. " When and where do we do the test? I am guessing at the training ground. Right now?" he asks as he sits up and leans forward onto the table. His calm black eyes staring at his teacher. He really just wants to get out of the classroom and stretch his legs. He is also curious about seeing what their new teammate can do.

Mai had been waiting for a question just like that one. A small grin stretched across her features and she clasped the bells into her fist once more. "Yes. Right now."
---
Tsuki was a bit startled. She watched as their teacher literally jumped out the window backward and then, moments later, was lifted again on the back of a giant eagle, its wings beating the air as it carried her off toward Training Ground 6. That was a neat trick -- Tsuki wondered how long it would be until she could make a pact with a summoning animal like that. She shook herself mentally -- there would be time for that later. She didn't want to lose their teacher.

"Hey, new girl -- Noriko!" she called quickly, hopping to her feet in an instant but keeping an eye on the rapidly receding figure of Mai Sensei. "What are you good at? What jutsu do you know?"

Noriko

Noriko blinks when the teacher jumps out if the window. Why did she...? She sees her suddenly floats up in the air on a... Eagle?! It’s her summon! Getting a bit excited. Her father told her one, he’ll help her with her summon when she ready, but seeing one other than a dog is really exciting.

She watches her teacher fly away and see her teammates jump to their feet. She blinks and gets up as well. Are they chasing it?... She then looks at her female teammate when she questions her. “ O... Oh um... I...I am good at taijutsu... and...” Her goes blank for a second. “ And um... Dad said I am pretty good at controlling my chakra and...”

“Guys, if we don’t leave now we’ll lose sight of sensei.” The cat male informs them.

“Ah! Sorry!” Noriko squeaks a bit. d

“It’s fine let’s...” The girl didn’t let him finish, she was already to the window and out.

Eric

“Just go...” Eric watches the girl jump out the window and speed off after the bird in a panic. He shrugs a bit and gets on the ledge. “ We’ll find out more about her during the test,” he says to Tsuki before jumping out as well. He is also curiously about the girl, but he would rather observe her, and find out more about her first before questioning her. The girl didn’t seem to be used to talk to people, so would be better to watch and ask rather than bombard her with questions.

He lands on his feet and looks up at the window. “You coming?”

Tsuki
"Tch!" Tsuki scoffed, also dropping behind them and landing lightly on her feet next to Eric before taking off after Noriko and Mai Sensei. "I was trying to come up with some sort of strategy -- clearly Mai is headed toward Training Ground 6. I doubt she's really going to go farther than that. It stands to reason that we have better chances of getting the bells three on one than each individually going up against a jonin, doesn't it? If there's something she's good at, it'll be easier to incorporate her skills into a plan if we know that that something is. The other options are: you and I work together and each claim a bell for ourselves, leaving her to hang, or everyone goes at it separately. But ninja work best in teams and with our combined strengths, we have a better chance, like I said."

Tsuki dodged around a cart of cabbages and a mother walking with her child, narrowly missing the cabbage cart so that the chain on her pants struck it, leaving a scrape from the studs. They would move quicker if they didn't have to dodge through all this traffic ... and there was an opening: Tsuki stepped on an empty cart to give her the height she needed, and then jumped, doing a front handspring off of the stall in front of her and landing neatly atop the roofs of the shops without hardly missing a beat in her stride. She could still easily make out Noriko's bright red hair ahead of them and the image of their sensei as she arrived at the training ground and dropped from view, presumably landing in the grass there.

Eric

Eric sighs at Tsuki. They can figure out a strategy after they get to the training ground. Running there is a good way to warm up and loosen up any tension that is in their body, especially Noriko's. Though thinking of one on the way would have been smart too... As he runs through the crowd behind the girls, he sees them getting to the training ground in their own way. Tsuki manages to get on the rooftop, while Noriko is flowing through the crowds with ease. He sighs, he should get on the rooftop too, it would be easier for him too. He sees a metal handle and jumps up, grabbing it and swinging himself to a rooftop opposite of Tsuki's. He looks for Noriko again, easily spotting her in time to see her run into another of their classmate, literally and bolting without even looking back.

Noriko

Ahh... running through the village, something she did in her free time. She loves it. The wind flowing through her hair. The rush of adrenaline. The number of obstacles blocking her way. She has done this so many times it's almost second nature to her. Slipping past people like a ghost and using obstacles to her advantage, which helps her catch up to her sensei. She was right behind her until she runs into someone. In a blur of white and blue, she squeaks tumbling to the ground, feeling arms wrap around her to protect her from the fall. In response, she pushes the person away and uses the momentum from the fall to rollup to her feet and bolts at full speed. " Sorry!" Too scared to see who she ran into. How did she not notice that person coming out of that corner?! She sighs to herself as she skids to a stop on the training ground.

She sits down on the ground to wait for her teammates since she has no idea what to do next. She looks at the training ground and closes her eyes to listen to her surroundings.
