Fantasy Name's Time

Fetch me my crown, will you?
This RP will not necessarily be this detailed, I'm just starting it off like this. But I would like it to be 'casual' detailed or 'detailed' detailed.

It was cold out. Not winter cold, but a wet, icy cold. Snowflakes fluttered down from grey, fluffy clouds. The air was still, too busy with other things to make wind. A teenage boy with pitch black hair hair sat on a bench, a dark violet scarf wrapped around his neck. He wore a thin black jacket with black jeans. His multi colored eyes traced the swirls of left of cream in his coffee.

A few freezing seconds later, another teenage boy with dark chocolate hair walked over and sat next to him, talking enthusiastically talking to the man next him. The black haired man laughed at what the other said, in return getting friendly scolded. The exchange went on for a few more minutes till they both stood up and walked into a old, musty bookstore, one of the many cute little shops that lined the center of the town.

By the time they came out of the small shop, the sky was streaked with orange, fault of the setting sun. The boy with brown hair was carrying a stack of notebooks and sketch books, a pack of expensive pens resting on top of the stack. The other boy who walked next to him carried a stack of three books. Their spin read:

Daniel leaned against a giant sycamore tree, reading Names Time. There was a light drizzle covering the whole city, yet it seemed centered on one of the parks called Cherry Blossom. This park was specifically Daniel's favorite for that sole reason, it was hit with rain the most.

He turned the page with one hand then stuffed it back into his pocket of a big black sweater. His hair sparkled with raindrops, him not bothering to shake them off.

Bing bing. His phone rang in his pocket. He waited a few seconds before pulling it out at looking at the lit up screen. It read:

Come home soon it's going to thunder storm. Also dinner is almost ready so there's another reason to put your book down for a bit. ~ Mom

He looked up at the sky, rain catching on his cheeks and nose. He closed his book with a quick slap of the pages, having already memorized the page number.

As began to walk down one of the many paths that lead to the entrance, he couldn't help but notice what a strange number of people were out today, even when it was so wet outside. Seeing no one he knew, Daniel just shrugged and kept walking.

Then he remember, there was a festival taking place in this part later that week. Hm, so they must be setting up...

Arianne was simply walking along the park at around the same time. She loved rain the most, wearing a navy blue trenchcoat and a large rainbow umbrella, which attracted attention from everyone on such a dreary day with it's bright colors.Even without the rain she still attracted attention with her long, bright pink hair, in an intricate braid tyed with a white ribbon.

Normally she liked to simply wander about the rainy streets when no one else was around to see her. Arianne noticed the strange amount of people outside as well. Arianne was new to the town, and didn't quite know or remember why they were setting up some sort of festival in the pouring rain. She began to ask around until she saw a young boy about her age, drenched in raindrops in a big black sweater.

Why doesn't he have some sort of umbrella?
She thought to herself. Arianne looked around and saw that they were probably the only people at that park at the time, everyone was outside preparing for some sort of festival. "Um, excuse me, do you happen to know why there's a crowd over there?" Arianne asked, and then decided to be kind enough to share her umbrella with him.

"Hm? Oh, there's going to be a festival in 4 days so they're busy setting up." Daniel replied. He gestured to the colorful umbrella above them. "And thanks for sharing the umbrella." He smiled in thanks, and then pointed to a large tent that multiple people were streaming into, them all carrying some sort of box or cart. "If you end up going to the festival, I recommend going there. It's sorta like a bazaar, but it's more centered around hobbies like reading and drawing."

His dark blue eyes dragged away from the soon-to-be bazaar onto Arianne's. "But that's only if you like that sort of stuff." I should probably go soon... By now the rain had begun to fall harder, dark clouds swirling above them. Then again, it's not like I haven't been caught in thunderstorms before. "By the way, have you ever been to this festival before?" He was curious. This was one of the most popular festivals in town, let alone in the entire county. He had gone to it every year ever since he could remember, mostly because he had been dragged along with his antique loving parents, which could be found at almost every stand. And because of that, he knew most of the stands and people who came. But he'd never seen her there before, which made him try to remember her face among the many he'd seen. When the memory wasn't there, it made him think, wonder if she's new to town?

Arianne listened intently and made eye contact. She was quite fond of his blue eyes, and the way he walked and carried himself intrigued her and caught her attention. I mean, a guy about her age wearing just a simple sweatshirt in the rain without any umbrella would catch her attention in a heart beat. Her Peridot-colored eyes widened and twinkled in excitement.

"I do like that sort of stuff actually." Arianne smiled up at him. "I'm Arianne, I just moved here. So no, never been here before." He seemed like the type of guy that she would potentially have common interests with but she was reluctant to tell him why she moved here or if she was even going at all. It was gradually becoming darker, maybe the storm was coming sooner than she thought. Maybe he lives around here and enjoys spending time in this park, she assumed. "If I did come, wouldn't you have remembered me?" Arianne smiled, of course he would've with her distinctive features. Not everyone had bright pink hair and bright green eyes. "You should go, the storm is looking pretty bad." The truth was, she wanted to stay for a little longer, but Arianne didn't want to burden him in the middle of a thunderstorm without any sort of umbrella as she sighed and started to slowly walk home.

"My name's Daniel." Daniel added before she began to walk away. He watched her a few moments longer before turning his back and continuing his walk home. She was different, with her pink hair and bright green eyes. But he liked that. How her rainbow umbrella stuck out among the usual reds and blues. But what he found even more intriguing was how even with the rain, she walked around outside as if it was a bright sunny day, like nothing was better.

He pulled his book closer to himself as the first boom of the thunder rang in his ears. His Persian blue eyes followed the streams of water that ran down the side walk, making their way to the closest drain. Standing by the street that led to his house, he looked back. He could still see the bright spectrum of Arianne's umbrella in the distance, the glow of a rose pink braid trailing down her back. He smiled to himself, turning down his street. Yeah, you're right. I would've remembered if I had seen you before. With that pink hair, your unforgettable.

Arianne was lying in bed, the sun shining onto her face. She yawned and stretched appreciatively at the start of the new day. Arianne hasn't seen that boy..Daniel, was it...in four days, wondering if he was going to be at the festival. Luckily it was a beautiful day today and she had woken up early as she normally did. There weren't many people crowded around from what she could see as she gleefully got ready, dressed in a simple flowery sundress, a comfortable pair of light blue shoes and a slightly worn out bag that she liked to wear on one shoulder.

Arianne liked the whole vintage look it gave her just as much as she liked the vintage, yet humble part of the city. Arianne even put her hair into the same intricate braid as she got her wallet, almost for certain that she might purchase something and made sure to leave a note to her loving, yet preoccupied parents that she was leaving. Arianne even prepared for the event, bringing small packs of white chocolate and her sketches and pencils.

As she cheerfully walked out the door, she could feel the fresh air coming from the outside. It was mildly windy outside as she shrugged it off, only wearing a thin, kimono-like cardigan to cover herself. It wasn't very useful, but she liked the cool air. Arianne suddenly noticed white rose petals blowing lightly onto her face and into her pink hair as she was walking, attracting her attention. White roses were Arianne's favorite flowers, as she loved how innocent and pure they looked and how they would compliment her hair if it weren't for the thorns. The trail led her to a colorful rose garden belonging to some unknown neighbour's home. "These are beautiful." She said to no one in particular, besides, she was early, maybe checking her phone, it was around 6:30-7:00 in the morning. No one was in the festival yet to her knowledge, and the roses were just so beautiful...

Daniel gazed up at the ceiling, sunlight streaming in from an open window. Rolling over he grabbed his phone, pressing the button to make the screen light up. Mom told me to text you since she forgot her phone, we've already left so come when you want ~ Kaylie. Kaylie was the name of his younger sister, only 14 years old. Oh yeah, the festivals today... His clock read 6:57 a.m. Deciding to get up, he grabbed a light purple hoodie with cut sleeves and a pair of blue jeans. Picking up his black leather satchel from a hook, he quickly glided down the stairs, not bothering to grab breakfast.

His wallet in his back pocket, he walked down the street, planning to stop by the coffee shop before heading to the festival. It was breezy out, but Daniel liked the cold, to him it was far better then heat any day. He rested both hands in the front pocket of his hoodie, kicking rocks as he walked. Looking ahead, he saw the familiar glow of pink hair ahead, gazing at a beautiful rose garden.

Arianne loved roses so much eventually she smelled like them. They reminded her of her old house before they moved here, they grew a beautiful rose garden just like this one, Arianne even spent most of her days taking care of them, before they moved here. The wind was as calm as ever, the morning chill apparent on the goosebumps on her arms. She sighed, the wind blew some rose petals into her hair, but she didn't bother to take them out. The petals framed her features and highlighted her braid quite nicely. Besides, having them in her hair added personality, even a bit of nostalgia to her look.

Deciding it was time to leave the garden alone for fear of any conflict, she slowly began to walk away. Arianne had a uniquely understated presence whenever she walked, like a beautifully unapologetic sort of flower child that didn't quite fit in with the others. As the festival began to have some sort of life, she realized everything about her, the colors, the flowers, and her style in general stood out. At least, they did to her. She paid no mind to it as she began walking, Arianne never felt hungry in the mornings, but she felt a strange craving for a piece of rich, white chocolates as she walked.

Arianne had barely made her way into the festival as she saw Daniel. Her face perked up in surprise as she looked upwards to face him, being as short as she was. "Daniel." She smiled and greeted him, saying his name as if it was a song. "Alone again, aren't we? I didn't think you would be here this early, but of course, it's nice to see you again. Tell me, do you still remember me now?" Of course it was still 7 in the morning, only a few other people were here, but only they happened to be near the rose garden. The wind was gentle, but relentless, gently guiding and blowing along loose rose petals as they surrounded her hair and her face. But Arianne was a carefree, easygoing person, paying no mind to any of it,smiling and looking up at him with the bright green eyes, piercing his soul in a mellow way.

(I'm so sorry, I have to sleep now! See you tomorrow!)

Daniel's head perked up as she spoke. He liked the way her voice sounded, it reminded him of the soft patter of rain on a window sill, or on the pages of a book. "Of course I remember you, we just saw each other yesterday. And it's nice to see you again, too." His voice was soft and sincere. He met her gaze, smiling softly.

He noticed that her hair was tied in a elegant braid again. He wondered if she always wore it like that, not that it was a bad thing if she did. It looked gorgeous on her. The braid reminded him of one of his favorite book's main character's. She had been a gallant hero, or that's at least how she began in the story, but she had changed over the course of the book, from hero to a possible villain. Not saying that he necessarily like villians, but books almost never had a hero turn from the light and stay in the shade. So this made her unique. And ever since he could remember he had always been drawn to the complicated, notable people he in the world, whether it was through words or memory, it didn't matter. And for some reason, he felt like Arianne was one of those people. And he secretly hoped she was.

"Arianne..." He broke their gaze and looked up at the blue sky, spying a few wispy clouds and a family of robins flying above them. "Do you like tea?" He slowly dragged his eyes back to her's, landing in their depths as he raised his voice in question.

Arianne liked to overanalyze every little thing she saw. Why and how the birds could fly so high, why the clouds always moved so slowly, why the petals on every rose were never the same. Daniel seemed like a gentle, introspective, certainly the quiet type. Although Arianne was more social and liked to stand out, she did have a beautiful sort of inner world that they both had. He seemed like someone that didn't mind being quiet, didn't mind thinking off to himself. Arianne didn't understand why, but she liked that.

She giggled delicately as he asked his question. "I do. Although I prefer the flowery ones. They always looked so pretty..." She mused, with an expressive smile to her face. "I assume you know a place?" Arianne was looking forward to the festival, but she ignored that thought when the opportunity to meet a new friend came up. In fact, ever since she moved into this part of the city, all she got were stares. She wasn't bothered at all in the slightest, but Arianne made no friends as of yet, which got her to think about where the schools might be. Arianne didn't really ponder that thought for too long, she knew that she would figure it all out once fall rolled around.
