Mysterious World of Fandom (Main Plot)

The air seemed to be easier to breathe and some of the tension left Homura's body. Whatever this man said, Homura had a gut feeling that Rosaku was anything but harmless. "Tell me what you really are would be a start," she replied. She let her arm fall once more, though still ready to go back into fight mode whenever was necessary. "I still believe that you're more than you say you are."

Homura stole a glance at Leon, curious to see how he reacted to these events. However, she couldn't let her attention be divided from Kosaku for long. However, when Leon acted, Homura acted as well. She readied her weapon, feeling the Fellpool press into her side. It felt as if his body was speaking to her, forcing her to stay when her instinct was to jump back to create a distance. It seemed as though Leon could create things to defend himself from his book, but she had a feeling that his physical body was weak. Despite her independent nature, Homura felt somehow protective over the shorter boy.

Yoshikage Kira (A.K.A Kosaku Kawajiri)

Kira lowered his head, as well as his arms, until it was no longer visible to the two of them.  If he was expressing emotion, they could only see it through the slight shivering of his body and the clenching of his fists.  "But, I'm afraid..  Afraid that if I tell you who I really am, that you'll simply leave me here to die,"  He'd tilt his head up slightly, allowing them to see his eyes.  "Or worse.."  He'd take a single step towards them, his head raised completely and his arms outstretched out of what appeared to be desperation.  "Homura, I admire you, I really do.  The way you went into action, keeping your gun aimed at me and trying to figure me out is inspiring!"  The serial killer shifted his gaze to Leon, who was obviously just as untrusting of him as Homura.  "And Leon, your clear thinking in such a bizarre predicament such as this is a trait I could only dream of having!"

He took another step forward, and then another, before grabbing his arms with both hands.  "I feel like I can trust you two, despite this incident..  I feel like you're the only people I can really trust, 100%."  Kira would stop talking there, and still almost completely still.  He remained in that position for a moment or two, as if thinking about the consequences of doing something.  "You have to promise me that you'll hear me out, and that above all, you won't tell anybody.."  He lowered his head once again, his hands still clutching at his limbs, even more so than before.  "I'm..  a killer.."

At those chilling words, Homura's response was to cock her guns. She had remained unfazed throughout his praise. The raven haired girl had feared something to this effect. She knew that there was something wrong with this man. It seemed as though a fight might be unavoidable. With this new found resolution, Homura gained more confidence in herself. The only worry she had was Leon. Was he as used to battle as she, or would he be a liability?

Addressing him quietly, she spoke in a volume only he would hear. "Be prepared to run when I say," Homura instructed. "I have a plan."

Yoshikage Kira (A.K.A Kosaku Kawajiri)

Kira stood up from his leaned over position and began adjusting his now somewhat crooked tie.  "Are you planning to shoot me?  How quaint,"  Kira held out his closed right hand, his thumb was hovering over it as if he was holding something in it, yet nothing was there.  "However, if you plan on using that gun than you better think twice."  His face was the same, stoic, empty, merciless.  If his menacing aura hadn't left before then it was certainly back now.  There was something to his face though, it showed intent.  Killing intent..

"What if I told you that the minute you pulled that trigger, your body would cease to exist?"  He furrowed his brow at Homura, this was all her fault.  If she and Leon had just accepted his invitation to tag along, they would've lived.  But now, it would seem, the time has come to eliminate them.  "And you, with the cat ears..  Don't you try anything either, or you might get caught in the aftereffects.."  His palms were free of any sweat, his knees never had more strength and his arms felt as light as a feather.  Kira knew he had the upper hand on them, even if they didn't fully understand the situation.  "Now, if you're willing, I'm going to ask you two some questions and I expect honest answers out of both of you..  Do, you, understand..?"

Kira looked to Leon, noticing every itty bitty footstep he made.  "Trying to keep your distance is pointless, fool.  I do in fact have a power, just as you said.  And no matter what you do, there will be no surviving it.  Unless you plan on abandoning your friend here..?"  His right thumb moved back and forth over the empty space it was hovering over.  Kira was feeling anxious to kill them, but he knew he needed answers from them first.  "Questions one through five;  Are you both alone?  Do you know if anyone followed you to this place, or is someone looking for you?  If they are, what are their abilities?  What are their names?  What do they look like?"

Leon felt his entire body freeze up as Kosaku's confessions. Just as he predicted he had seen a good share of violence but his expectation was that of a retired soldier or mercenary. For him to so eagerly admit it was the most terrifying part. Even worse was that he seemed envious of his mind, a fact that was nothing new in his line of work but for once he could do without praise. He didn't want to be anything like this man. Yet in the back of his mind, he could only wonder just what kind of 'killer' he truly was. When he was with Claude they had to fight constantly just to survive. How many bandits had he killed? How many demons? If he had gone on any longer would he have turned into something like him? The thought caused the boy to break into a cold sweat. All he wanted was to work together to figure out an escape, so why did he have to show up and ruin everything? He should've gone to look for Heaven's Door instead.

"Let's see it," Leon whispered back to Homura, slowly inching in tiny steps to recover some of the distance he stole in his approach. The specter coming from his book traced the point of the weapon with his movement, remaining pointed as his torso. He still had plenty of tricks left up his own sleeves but for now he was content to follow her lead, or anyone's really if it meant getting away from the suit-wearing killer quickly. Before they could act he unfortunately made his next move, threatening to make Homura "cease to exist". Whatever he wanted to ask them he was absolutely certain it wouldn't end with a happy farewell. Grinding his teeth, the specter slowly faded into wisps of smoke in the air before disappearing entirely. Following this the pages glowed with a golden light, a pair of ornate golden shields materializing in front of both himself and Homoru.

"Enshelter!"

With these words the objects shattered, surrounding the pair in a faint aura before that also faded. Glaring at Kira, he hugged the open book back to his chest with a smirk and began to plan his next move. They had some room for error now at the very least.

"I'm really more fit for the teacher role. Not a student. I'm above your questions." Leon taunted with a smirk, trying his best to force an air of confidence.

She recognized those questions... He wanted to see if they would be found after they were killed. How simple and obvious.

Though, if he truly thought that her guns were her only form of defense, Kosaku was deathly mistaken. And Leon... She did say she had a plan, so him respectable efforts were unnecessary. Reaching over, Homura grabbed Leon by the elbow and activated the hourglass that came from her shield. It was quick, too quick to catch. Time froze, leaving only Leon and her aware of the pause. Once she had done so, Homura released her grip. "Come, the stop won't last long," she commanded.

Leon D.S. Geeste

Leon blinked, staring at the now motionless Kosaku. She stopped time. Homura stopped time. Time has now been stopped. He repeated the reality he found himself in again and again, amazed that someone like her held that much magical ability. Suddenly his interest in finding out her story had skyrocketed.

"Right!" Leon answered, preparing to dash with all his might away from the scene. Yet...

"Um, one second actually." Turning to face Kosaku once again, he held out the tome toward him, the familiar golden glow returning yet again. "Noah!"

Leon called out the latest attack, only for nothing to happen. Not yet anyway. He was in for a real treat whenever time reverted to normal. With a satisfied chuckle, he turned away and with a nod to his newfound ally followed her in retreating.

No thought, no movement, no words, only frozen time.  Would he be able to contemplate what just happened when it was all said and done?  How would Kira feel after realizing they had run away?  Tick, tock, tick tock.  How many seconds had passed?  One second?  Two Seconds?  Seven seconds?  All time he would've used to kill them.  The stopped time ticked away as an unaware Kira waited for it to end.  Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick..  tock.

Homura paused, looking back curiously at what Leon planned to do. A tiny smirk graced her lips. A surprise attack, she approved. The said smirk left her face as she glanced down at her Soul Gem. It was still shining a vibrant amethyst, so Homura still had plenty of time left. However, she didn't want to risk using her power for long before it was too late. Who knows when she might need to use her power in the future? Yes, she had to be careful when using it as who knows if there was any Wraiths here to drop the Greed Seeds necessary to revitalize her?

Once Leon returned, Homura walked briskly in a random direction, in any direction. "Here will do," she said after they created a respectable distance between them and their enemy. She tapped the hourglass and the sand resumed it's movement, and time moved along with it.

Homura was silent for a moment before she spoke again. "I would like you to keep my ability a secret, Leon-san. This is important."

@Ammy

Leon D.-wait what

For all of the terrors in the universe, having the forces of nature turn on you was particularly horrible. Leon knew this well. Within the blink of an eye both Leon and Homura disappeared from Kosaku's view, gone without a trace. Instead all that remained was the inexplicably present tidal wave of water, reaching close to forty feet in height. As the water charged toward it's intended target slowly decreasing in size as it was absorbed into the soil, several of the nearby tree's branches were broken off and swept into the current.

Leon D.S. Geeste

Leon's ears perked upward at the sound of water in the distance. Given the right circumstances he certainly could have done a casting that was more potent but time was too crucial to spend. Even if it wasn't enough to stop him, he couldn't foresee a way for him to dodge the entirety of the attack's force. Furthermore that would likely draw any others toward him and allow them to act as diversions. The Fellpool knew he should feel concerned about leading anyone else who may be here to the admitted killer, but for the moment he only felt relief at their escape.

"What? But, that's...that was great! Why would you keep that secret? Time-based symbology still has such leaps and bounds to go!" Leon said, his eyes lighting up much like a child with a new toy. He had to know more about this! Even if she kept it a complete secret perhaps she could teach him how to make use of it! "Something like this would blow away all of the research being done at home! You could take over the symbological studies..." Stopping suddenly, he broke into an awkward laugh at the realization of what he was about to say. Maybe encouraging it that much was a bad idea. "...well, you'd certainly be able to take the second in command position. They're terrible."

Reminding himself of his previous theory, he found himself immediately regretting his outburst. Ripping new talent through time to work under him surely had to have terrible repercussions. Right? "Yeah, anyway. I won't say anything I guess, but...why?"

Diego watched the man warily, inching further and further away from him for every step the crazed comic fanatic took towards him.  Was this really the man who brought him here, or was he just some picture book enthusiast that fell victim to the same power?  Suddenly, the man exclaimed and began swinging his pen around in the air in front of him.  This should've been nothing, but Diego could actually see something being created with the pen strokes.  What was made was a short man wearing a tiny top hat, and it came rushing towards him.

"A stand!  I knew you were a stand user!"  Diego had very little time to prepare for this sudden attack, leaving him with no choice but to use his own stand.  "Scary Monsters!"  In nearly an instant, Diego's arm had turned into that of a raptor's, just as the enemy stand had finally closed the distance.  He reached out his arm to strike it, scratching at it's face to leave a nasty wound, just as he had been pounded by it.  A cloud of dust formed beneath him as Diego slammed into the ground, flat on his back.  He looked on in horror as his skin peeled off, like paper, to reveal it actually was paper.  Just as Diego was undergoing his transformation, the stranger would be doing the same as his body morphed into that of a pachycephalosaurus.

'A Stand User?!' Rohan took a step back as the blond's arm, which had turned into a raptor's, scratched Heaven's door's face, causing Rohan to bleed the same way as the scratch marked on his face. It scratched Rohan's right eye, leaving only his left eye operational as it bled a fountain. Although it hurt like fuck, Rohan noticed his skin cracking, almost as if it was drying up. "W-what the hell?!" He hurriedly walked towards the blond and read the first few pages as the transformation continued. "Brando Diego...20..." He flipped through Diego's life pages as he noticed his fingers turning into that of a dinosaur's, attempting to find a cure. During that few minutes, Rohan learnt about Diego's stand, 'Scary Monsters', which is a stand which can turn the user or any other people into dinosaurs which acts as his slaves. And the only way to revert the transformation is... "To hurt him badly...huh?" Rohan panted, grabbing his pen which fell when he was in a hurry when the transformation was still happening. "Heaven's Door...You will break your bones simultaneously, and be flung 10 Kilometers per hour!" he wrote messily, which he hated, but could be the only way to revert him back to normal. Just as his skin was changing, he slammed the page shut, should Diego return to normal, he will do as he wrote in him.

Keeper grabbed Penny's hands to stop her fiddling with his noose "I am perfectly fine, mam. the noose is merely a reminder of my sin and such it can't be removed by anyone, believe me i tried." he said calmly

Penny was surprised by the child's words. He looked so young, yet speaks so mature and so...'Melancholic' was the term, no? Still, Penny couldn't help but wonder why did he chose to keep the noose even though he is perfectly fine.

"I-Is that so..." Penny let go of the child's noose, still feeling guilty for not noticing the poor child. "May I have your name, friend? My name is Penny Polendina." She introduced, "It would appear that we're both lost in this place..."

Time returns to normal.  "If you-"  Kira couldn't finish what he was going to say as he was too shocked by the forty foot wall of water heading his way that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Furthermore, Homura and Leon had seemingly vanished out of thin air, and out if harms way.  Kira regained his composure as the wave crept closer, it was pointless for them to run, because in the end they'd come right back here.

Those two had an air of calm around them now, they must've felt relieved that they had managed to escape Kira.  But..  Unbeknowngst to both of them, Kira had planted one of his three indestructible bombs on Homura.  Looking at her, Leon would see a small figure sitting crouched in the girl's eye.  The thing looked human enough, and had his thumb over his right hand, the same thing Kira had been doing earlier.  As if it was pressing a button, it pressed it's thumb down and an internal explosion consumed her, and caught Leon in the blast.

The next thing they knew, they would be standing back where they were not too long ago.  Right next to Kira, who stood there with his hands in his pockets and an annoyed look on his face.  Leon wouldn't remember anything that happened from the time when he first met Kira up to the explosion.  Homura, however, would remember everything.  "It seems you both underestimate me.."

Immense pain exploded throughout his entire body as he was sent flying backward, he felt every bone inside him snapping in half like twigs.  Diego lied on the ground, vainly attempting to move his limbs, but the pain was too much. He just lay there, coughing and helpless, at the mercy of this man who made comic books for a living.  "Damn it.."  He managed to croak out.  How dare this man put him in such a pitiful state.

"I'll..  kill you.."  The blood from his bones and the damaged tissue around them began to clot and in response his body began to swell.  He couldn't move anymore, he lost full control of his body.  It wasn't supposed to end like this, he had his whole life ahead of him.  He was going to rule the world with his wealth and power, and get revenge on the ones who made life for him and his mother so horrible.  His arm went back to normal, but what good wold that do for him, he was as good as dead.

"Did it...Work?" Rohan asked, looking at his skin. It had returned to normal, yes, but Rohan couldn't help but recall the other details that he skimmed over while he was searching for his cure; Diego's ambitions. No one can hide a secret from Heaven's Door, that is common knowledge for his...'friends'. Like he once wants to do with Reimi's killer, Diego wanted to give retribution to them who had crossed his mother. Is this the reason why he's so arrogant? Why he joined the 'Steel Ball Run'? It's almost as if he's looking at a mirror image of his faint memory. He walked towards Diego, who's lying on the ground helplessly. He sat down and began to summon Heaven's door once more. Immediately, he erased the previous command; breaking his bones simultanously, and replaced with another.

"Heaven's Door. You will forget everything that has happened and your wounds will be fixed." He wrote in pity, adding one final command before closing the page. "I cannot attack Rohan Kishibe" Soon, Diego shall be reverted to his normal and healthy state. . .

Homura didn't answer Leon for a short amount of time. It seemed as though he thought her power was purely science, but he was mistaken. At first, she was ready to reverse time, to make him forget his memories of her power. After all, this was the first run through, the first test of what may or may not happen. It didn't matter if he told now, as Homura could just go back and do it all again and avoid her mistake. However... She did have her Soul Gem to think about. If she used it too much...

The girl didn't have much time to reflect on it when she felt a pull against her body. She crouched, preparing herself for the tug. The pair of them reappeared in front of Kosaku. Her violet eyes narrowed at him. How did he undo her power? Was that his? Did he somehow nullify it? No, he was dripping wet so that meant that this time was different. So what did he do? Homura straightened as she analysed him. Do not give in to despair. If there was one thing that she learned, it would have been that. "It seems as though running away won't have any effect. You want a battle, don't you, Kosaku-san?" Saying so, she reconjured her previous gun. "Or, at the very least, you want to satisfy your murderous instincts. I guess this cannot be avoided."

Yoshikage Kira

Kira shook his head in disagreement.  "Actually, no, I don't want to fight.  In fact, fighting you two was the last thing I wanted to do, but you've left me with no choice now."  Kira reached into his pants pocket and took out a 100 yen coin and began flipping it over and over as he spoke.  "What I really want is to have a nice, quiet life, where I never have to worry.  However, I find myself the victim of murderous impulses frequently, and this is where the problem lies."  As the coin was in midair, Killer Queen appeared and grabbed it, making it appear as if it was floating.  "I've found that when I murder someone it brings me great pleasure, especially when it's a beautiful young woman such as yourself. So in all honesty I don't really want to give that up.  Now, I'm going to kill you two so you'll never tell a soul about my secret.  I will leave no trace of your bodies or any evidence, so that I may sleep peacefully tonight."

Killer Queen flipped the coin towards Leon, to them it would appear as if the coin had flipped itself in midair.  "This power I have, Killer Queen..  I will use it to destroy you from the inside-out.."  Kira took a few steps backwards as the coin flipped it's way over towards the cat-eared boy.  And then, just as the coin was falling right in front of his face, an explosion came out bursting from the coin, like a bomb.

Diego sat up and rubbed the back of his head, he felt like he might've been sore, but that certainly wasn't the case.  He looked up to see a man crouching over him, and he felt like he had seen him somewhere before.  "You, who are you supposed to be?"  Taking a quick look at his surroundings, Diego realized this man wasn't the only strange thing around here.  His horse was missing, and Johnny Joestar, who he had been racing, was gone as well.  In fact, this entire landscape was unfamiliar to him.  "What the bloody hell is going on here!?  Wasn't I just riding my horse!?  Where the hell is this!?"  Diego turned to the stranger and pointed an accusing finger at him.  "You, explain yourself!  What the hell am I doing here when I'm supposed to be in a race right now!  I want answers, now!"

Diego scoffed at Rohan's ignorance, how dense could you possibly get?  "What rock have you been living under, the Steel Ball Run's only the most popular event of the year!"  Nevertheless, Diego crossed his arms and legs in a sitting position would begin to explain.  "Alright mate, listen up now.  The Steel Ball Run is a long distance horse race, only you don't have to use a horse, got it?  You can use a train, a camel, bloody hell, one guy even competed on his own two feet!  Anyways, it started off at San Diego Beach, and from there we're supposed to race from checkpoint to checkpoint until we reach the last one in New York City.  Every checkpoint earns you a certain amount of points depending on what place you're in when you get to it.  Whoever has the most points racked up by the final checkpoint wins 50 million dollars!"

Upon finishing, Diego gave a great, big, egotistical smirk.  "Right now I'm third in points, all I have to do is place first a few more times and the prize money's as good as mine!  The smile quickly faded from Diego's lips as he remembered the situation he was in.  "Well, it would've been if all this crap hadn't had happened.."  The racer turned his head to Rohan and gave him a quizzical look, who exactly was this guy anyway?  "Anyway, what's it to you?  If you really wanted to learn about the race couldn't you have just read it in the paper?  Wait, are you taking notes on this?  Just what the hell are you anyway, some kind of reporter?"

The Enchantress considers letting a large, over-dramatic sigh at Teddy's nonexistent map but doesn't. Instead she just gives him a menacing glare and says "What 'map'?"

"Penny..." Keeper grinned "that is quite the wonderful name, you got there. As for me I have gone by many names, Greed, Isaac, But i hold a special preference to the name Keeper, so i would be quite happy if you were to refer me as Keeper. I say it would best if we followed the road, to often have i gotten lost by not following the offered road"

"You think so? People which I hold dear also told me that." Penny couldn't help but giggle at Isaac/Keeper's compliment. Truthfully speaking, she had never heard a name like 'Isaac' or 'Greed', which piqued her interest. She was curious why,but she turned to the road the moment Keeper suggested to do so.  "You're right. Maybe someone can actually show us the way back home." She smiled, as she headed to the road looked around, seeing if there are any vehicles along the way. There appears to be none at the moment, meaning they would be safe for now. "Let's go!" She beamed cheerfully, heading to the north of the road.

@Thepotatogod

"Interesting..." Rohan muttered, unconsciously taking down notes on a small pocket notebook he got from one of his fans. With the prize of 50 Million dollars, who wouldn't want to join such a race? it's strange that he haven't heard of said Steel Ball Run, since Diego proclaimed that it was the most popular event of the year. Guess that's the downside of being a shut-in mangaka in Morioh. "I rarely go outside of my work station, which is also my house." He said, "I'm just a local comic artist in Japan who occasionally goes out to do research for more content and realism." Rohan chuckled, closing his notebook and shoving it at his pocket. "Hmm...Maybe my next work will be about this race...Yes, yes, that'll make good content indeed." He muttered to himself, gaining another spark of inspiration from another random stranger. He should consider this idea for now.
