I feel like that's overkill due to all the other people's preparation. If you take a moment to think about it, who would put there biggest trap in front line? I'm pretty sure it isn't that big. Also that's a big spell.

we don't know what is in this castle...what if there is a 60 feet worm that can grow back its lost limbs? or a creature that walks towards us and is immortal and the only way to live is run? what if the creature comes from bellow? what if there is some kind of debuff that negates the effect of our spells and only melee can effect them? what if there is no trap and just a awkward moment for all of us?
