Haruto looked at his new compatriot when she complemented his size, that was nice. Then she explained how she just threw it and hoped for the best, wait so she didn't do intense calculations? She really did just throw that without knowing what the consequence was going to be? She must have extreme luck to pull any of that off. Still this person was nice. Suddenly she introduced herself as Claire O'Reilly, so Haruto felt it was best to return in kind.

"Oh! Um I'm Haruto Shima, you can call me whatever you want though."

Soon they were at the exit and everyone began gathering. The injured looked as though they were to head towards the nurses office, while everyone else gathered waiting for their teacher to direct them. Claire walked up to the teacher and Haruto was left alone. The intial excitement over the explosions over, he kept to himself trying his best to stay out of everyone's way. He hoped the rest would be like claire, but he doubt it since he is a giant walking and talking Phobia. Mindlessly Haruto began to play with his webs a bit, making various patters from the silk. He used both his arms and two front legs when doing this.

Azuza "Zuzu" Reiko

"Senpai, let me help you." Azuza offered Yamato her hand. "I can't leave my escort of you half done." She was clearly worried about Yamato. Now that she wasn't inside her anymore, she felt something strange now that she wasn't connected with her anymore. She wasn't quite sure what it was, or how to explain it yet. The unique feeling she was experiencing the whole time senpai Yamato was along for the ride, she liked it... It was warm and gentle presence inside her, but it was from someone else. Someone different from her but the warmth and care... A kind voice in her ear, something she strangely enjoyed.

More and more people were emerging from the final leg of the city, some more worse for wear than the others. While she had decided to push forward through in a direct path without hesitation, it seemed their more cautious and uncertain attempts to avoid danger had actually had the opposite effect. There was also the possibility some had been a little more distracted, overconfident or a myriad of other issues in all the chaos but none of them seemed to have any lasting damage. This was especially the case when you had an expert doctor on hand, so a little bit of discomfort wasn't going to be the end of the world.

In any case the class seemed to be about over now so she took the que from the teacher and swiveled on her rock to the new figures with a bright smile and wave. "Yo, Kyohei Yuri" she goes to hop over and take a few steps "Nice to see the new faces". She pauses to raise an eyebrow over at the new shadow figure "Wait you were a Upper classman? Did you get held back or something? I thought we were all meant to be in the same class?" she pauses trying to get back on track. "I mean i guess there is a little bit of a difference between the other schools and other prior training though...but guess thats not as important at the moment"

She goes to take a few steps over to the new group " Either way, Im good on the nurses office so looking forward to seeing the dorms, all the dust is a nightmare on the hair" pulling her braid around and patting it as the small puffs of gray emerge. "But still a fun time all around"

Akemi Tajima
"Of course, the blind leading the sighted." Akemi sighed as Donny once again asked her to guide the other students though much of the route and the junk blocking it got blown away by a chain of explosions leaving the way to the exit clear. "Oh well guess my work is done." She sauntered to the exit taking her time a little to allow someone else to go ahead of her in case any bombs were missed. "Well that was scrappy, I guess only two people got messed up though."

Joining the others assembled outside she brushed away at the dust coating her uniform with a look of distaste. "As long as the showers are ready in the dorms I'm raring to go." While she couldn't hear what Clair was saying to the teacher Akemi still saw the wink and gagged to herself, naturally she sometimes saw weird stuff when people thought no one was looking but the 'hot for teacher' stuff was still cringeworthy to watch.

Amara
Unsurprisingly, she got to the end safely. This wasn't exactly the sort of test she was gonna fail on her own, but... she did wish that they had done better as a group. There were more injuries than there should have been. She sighed quietly and once again took a spot next to the homeroom teacher. The other one was going to get people to Recovery Girl. That was good... ugh. Amara rubbed her face aggressively. This had been such a disappointment.

She looked to IQ, "S...Sir? Um... I wanted to ask. How could we improve? I feel like we failed. We didn't do well enough. If that was a real situation it would have gone so poorly. I'm disappointed in ourselves. I want to know how to do better next time."

Natasha
Natasha got to the end faster than most, going on her own meant she didn't need to waste any time. Plus the quirk she got was great for the goal! That said, once she DID get to the end, she was in an impressive amount of pain. She wasn't sure she had a headache this... no, wait, there was one time it was so bad she passed out from another quirk... but yeah, this was a close second. She wandered off from the exit to go find a bush to puke into.

By the time she returned, the class seemed to have finished up.

Her eyes were glistening with tears, but she pushed through it to walk up to IQ. "Hey teach," she grimaced, "Got any pain medicine? Fuck, maybe knockout drugs at this point?"

With the students all gathered at the entrance, they could begin to make their way to Recovery Girl's office. A lecture was a small price to pay if the injured were able to receive proper medical attention as soon as possible.

"You've done a good job keeping Lola's condition stable until now, Ryota. We'll have her looked at right away, but if anything changes between then, I'll call 119." Ken put a hand over the girl's forehead, checking her temperature. It was damp with sweat, but the cold from Ryota's Quirk prevented her body temperature from reaching dangerous levels and she seemed to be breathing steadily, if a bit laboured.

He watched as Yamato materialized between him and the fox-eared student. She was most likely suffering from some form of head injury due to an explosion and needed treatment soon to prevent any sustaining damage.

"I'd appreciate the extra help, Azuza. I wouldn't mind hosting Yamato, but if she decides she's too weak to use her Quirk right now, could you support her to the infirmary?"

With a nod towards the two, Ken turned to assess the rest of the students: Sabjorn's wing was tied back after being dislocated, he assumed. It looked like a decent splint, so it set him at ease, at least a little. "Nice work on the first aid, Asuka," he praised.

"You there-" he waved at the spider boy, "Haruto, was it? Gary's knuckles look like they've been run over by a potato peeler. Can you wrap them up in some silk to stop the bleeding until we can get 'em bandaged up?"

Now that he could get a better look, Haruto really was a mammoth of a mutant Quirk type. With those arms and webs, it seemed like he'd be an excellent rescue-specialized hero, though he didn't know his future aspirations. In any case, he was glad he wasn't afraid of spiders.

Ken looked towards IQ, who would be taking the other half of the students back to the dorms. When the other teacher returned his gaze, he made the OK hand indicating that everything was clear on his side. They could start heading back on his signal.

Asuka looked up when she heard one of the teachers praising in her actions for assisting her classmate with his injured wing. Nodding her head to let him know that she had heard him. While she did not mind being praise she did mind it when it came at the cost of other. Turning from the teacher she helped get sab to recovery girls office so that he could have the injury assed more thoroughly since she could not tell if he had other injuries that could be worse that the dislocated wing. Just by doing a look over some of the other students she could tell that some might have to spend a few days in the hospital. She felt lucky that she was not one of the ones that would need hospitalization since most of her injuries consisted of mostly scrapes , bruising, and exhaustion. Looking over at Sab to make sure he would go to recovery girl.

If she was not so tired she might have been half tempted to throw some of her hardened feathers at the teachers if she could get way with it. Asuka knew that her actions were mostly due to her annoyance and would get her in to trouble so she thought better of her actions to prevent any more problems .

Taking in a deep breath to clear her mind of the dark thought and focus on getting sab properly treated though she was already planning on getting some medical supplies, books to do some self-study, and come to recovery girl for more information when she did not understand something. Thinking more on it she also needed to plan her to do some self training when she had free time but she needed to make a schedule so that she would not work herself to hard.

IQ hummed softly in thought, glancing at the late arrivals, then to Clavis, then the students finally arriving at the gates. It looked like no one had been left behind...and by that standard, they'd passed Clavis's lesson. First thing first, address the late students. "It's nice to meet you, Matsumae, Kai. It's fine that you're late today, first days are always really hectic, you got here and that's all that matters." No sooner that he turned around was he quite literally face to face with Clair, leaning backwards just a bit as she leaned forward. Did...this girl have a thing for him? Or was she just the sort of person who said things to get a reaction out of people? When she hopped back he straightened up again, face still in its relaxed neutrality. "Nice to meet you, Clair. I'll be sure to remember all of that for future reference if I need to." He glanced at the students, giving a nod towards Amara and Natasha to verify he heard both of them. "Amara, I'll answer that shortly. Natasha...what'd do to get in so much pain? All the same..." He reached into his belt, producing a single person packet of extra-strength pain Tylenol, offering it to Natasha. "Take two of these, I use them myself."

Seeing Clavis' 'OK' out of the corner of his eye he gave a nod, folding his hands behind his back. He'd make this quick, students needed to get to the infirmary for their injuries. "Based off the lesson Clavis gave you...this is a pass, as you all left at the same time. We have a few late arrivals, so I'll be quick. I'm your homeroom teacher, Pro Hero name IQ, though my name is Conroy Smith. I moved to Japan when I was only a few months old, hence the name not following the normal naming fashion...You all passed. I realize a lot of you are likely angry or somber over this lesson, but it's an important one. Even Pro Heroes can't account for everything, and even the most ideal situation can be shattered in an instant. Sometimes, all we can do is damage control, rather than 'fix' a situation. We're not always able to work with people we get along with, or even compliment our Quirks. But we have to make the best out of a bad situation...With that being said. You all handled this in astounding fashion for students with minimal experience with something of this nature. I know quite a few pro's who wouldn't have pulled this off quite as well as you all did. When it mattered, you turned into a working unit. The only advice I can offer to improve is to minimize any personality clashing until the end of a disaster. Civilians look to you for guidance and stability, infighting can make a bad situation look worse. Always appear like you have the situation under control, even if you don't. But..."

He gave a very brief apologetic bow, straightening up. "No one should get banged up on their first day of lessons. Accept our apologies, we'll strive to do better for you all. For those of you who aren't heading to the clinic, please follow me." Giving his nod to Clavis he started off, making a 'with me' motion towards the students following after him. As they made their way from the training ground he continued to speak, turning to look over his shoulder to focus on the group he was leading to the dorms.. "It was only very recently that Principal Nezu decided to take a boarding school approach, due to the League of Villains targetting U.A on more than one occasion. Much of your personal items should be in your rooms already for you to arrange to your choosing. If anythings missing, it'll arrive by the end of this week. Given circumstances, I'll communicate with Clavis, give you all a chance to relax before jumping straight into your general studies. Are all of you okay?"

Azuza "Zuzu" Reiko

Azuza bowed her head at the teachers suggestion. "Absolutely Sensei, I will assist Yamato senpai to the infirmary." She was happy that one of her new teachers put trust in her. Looking at Yamato she seemed like she'll be okay so long as she gets treated relatively soon for what happened to her ear. She wasn't about to let her new Senpai continue to be in pain on her watch. "Come on Senpai... Let's take you to the nurse."

DONNY YANG

After a little pyrotechnics display by Clair and a bomb she got from Azuza, the students were in the clear to reach the exit. What few missing students Donny had noticed managed to arrive none worse for wear, and all-in-all it seemed like everyone made it. Though not without taking severe damage. Two students needed to go to the infirmary, Yamato and Natasha. Donny couldn’t help but feel a bit frustrated: he tried his best to lead the group but due to no action of his own, Yamato was harmed by the explosions and Natasha basically exhausted herself using her quirk. Neither of these things were acceptable in Donny’s mind. They could’ve been prevented had he just been more proactive in covering everyone from the explosives, or clearing a path through the rubble. It was things he could have done but didn’t. He had no one to blame but himself.

Still they passed the class. Never let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Donny also noted the two students who managed to get here before the group. He doesn’t know their quirk too well but surely if they were able to get here so easily, then everyone else must have done something wrong if they struggled collectively. This just made Donny even more annoyed, and now he wondered if maybe his attempts at leadership was just holding everyone back. Maybe trying to cooperate with others, while good on paper, just meant they couldn’t be allowed to do what they did best simply because Donny was too afraid of acting on his own. They were being held back because Donny was holding them back. He’s even holding himself back.

Sighing, the bug blobby boy simply stood up and followed IQ towards the dorms. Donny was still getting used to the idea of living on his own: he’s been with his grandfather for most of his life. And while Donny had his privacy he wasn’t sure how shared living was going to be like considering his habits and lifestyle. Hopefully it shouldn’t be an issue however. When IQ asked how everyone was, Donny wanted to speak but stayed quiet. He mostly wanted to hear what IQ’s individual assessment of the students was, however Donny also realized that maybe the others wouldn’t appreciate being called out or worse, put on the spot for the things they did or didn’t do. All in all, it made Donny very hungry.

”When’s lunch? I need to eat like, eight things, right now.”

Picking up her previous uniform the snowy-haired girl goes back to her previous casual demeanor, though still periodically looking over the rest of the students, especially when the other group splits off towards the Nurse. Once the teacher finishes his final speech she gives a casual wave towards IQ as he shows his concern for the rest of those gathered and flashes a small grin. There were a few parts of what he said she wasn't exactly in agreement with but honestly, it wasn't worth the effort to start a debate on those at the moment, so instead she just moved to answer his final question "Just fine, After all the only reason the hare loses the race is they stop before they finish what they started. It's not like I slouched before coming here so I'm more durable than I look" her final words, however, were punctuated by a low rumbling and gurgling noise emanating from her stomach.

Letting out a small laugh and rubbing her cheek she turns her gaze away a little "Ok so let's count fine as that as Fervouritly Insearch of Nourishing Edibles. Speaking of which how are the dorms for groceries? I know there's a Cafeteria but does the school throw in the essentials or are we left on our own to stock it with Groceries? Not sure if this one of those write your name on stuff deals?"

Listening to IQ speak approvingly of their performance Akemi smiled with smug self-satisfaction as the compliments kept coming and smirked at the small criticism which she was sure was directed at the two knuckleheads and not her, while her quirk hadn't been any help with clearing the way it was useful for gathering intelligence together. When the remaining students were asked if they were unharmed she tossed her crimson hair sending up a puff of dust. "Oh I'm doing just fine sensei, it'll take more thaaaa-aaaa." Her cocky comment got cut off by a furious itching in her nose as she accidentally inhaled the dust and sneezed loudly. "Forget it I just need to clean up."

Sulking slightly she scowled a little seemingly at nothing in particular when the hair girl who had ditched the rest of the group commented on the exercise and managing to work up an appetite while loafing around the exit. She also noticed a couple more apparent late arrivals had joined the group, deciding the boy was at least a little cute she decided to go introduce herself. "Hey there, you hit some trouble getting here? Hope you didn't get as lost as she did." She gesture to Clair.

1628964391159.png 'Nice to meet you, Clair. I'll be sure to remember all of that for future reference if I need to.' Hook line and sinker. Clair who had always been lucky in her love life took this as a huge win. Especially when he said he'd be sure to remember said information. Completely disregarding the part where he said 'if I need to'. Watching her prince charming address the class and its overall performance Clair's doubtful thinking from before was quickly replaced with a sense of pride in herself and in the class she would now be calling her own. She had yet to meet everyone faces to face and she hadn't seen everyone's quirks yet but she was sure everyone was dependable and that she could rely on them if needs be. After all, they had to have more experience and more applicable quirks than herself right! This was a learning experience and Everyone was a fountain of information waiting to be tapped in Clair's eyes.

When Iq moved to ask if everyone was alright Clair was happy to answer "I'm perfectly fine. Not even a scratch Mr. Smith!". Clair fumbled with her fingers as she awaited the group departure and once it was clear she'd be heading to the dorms Clair raised her hand for a brief second before asking a question "Mr. Smith, I've got a question! Are we allowed to leave the campus in our free time? What's the dorm's policy on Gambling? When do we get to see our hero suits? Will you take us for any classes? Are you single? When will we be issued our Class Id Cards?". That 'are you single' question surprised even Clair who had let her mouth run without thinking but none the less an answer would be appreciated.

As Clair awaited the answers of her questions patiently but noticed Akemi pointing toward her out of the corner of her eye. Turning to the two Clair offered them a polite wave and smile "Yo! Nice to meet you! I'm Clair!"

Sab, noting the look and words Asuka gave him, rolled his eyes and made a displeased sound. She was right, though. It'd be better for him to get real treatment for his wing.
Grumbling under his breath, he followed after Ken towards the nurse's.
What he really wanted was to get settled in the dorms and take a nap, maybe find a good and healthy outlet to release his tension and some of the venom he had built up today, it was making him sore and by extension short tempered. Well, shorter tempered than he already was. Too bad that would have to come later...

Asuka hid her grin when she saw that sab was about to argue but thought better of it and continued on to the nurses office as she turned back to listen to what IQ had to say about moving into the dorms not that she ha a problem with it .

Let me guess the reason that we are living in the dorms is it will be easier for those who don’t live in the emendate area as well as to protect us from possible attacks from the villains who might have knowledge on where our family homes reside... While here we have pro hero’s around us at all times which could detour possible attack or even kidnapping attempts on those with special quirks though what’s stopping them from attack our families any way. Some of us have quirk less parents or parents who don’t have strong quirks?” she asked after a brief moment of thought.

Some of the knowledge she had was from reading up on the news and seeing one or two want a be villains who were captured after attacking heavily populated areas on the news. Though most of that information had some pieces with held or just rumors spread by people who did not know the full truth. So most of what she was saying was just a big hunch. She had not been an eyewitness or even in the area but that kind of info was always the talk of her old school when it happened. Looking back up at the two teacher she waited to hear if her thoughts were some what right or not.

Haruto was busy playing with his silk, so much so that he almost ripped up his beautiful pattern in surprise when his name was called. His teacher Clavis informed him to bandage up Gary's hands to stop them bleeding until they could be taken care of. Haruto nodded unsure who Gary was. Still he was given enough details to lookj at a student with badly damaged hands, and he found his target. He was talking about the man who knocked down the pillar! Haruto walked over to him and Grabbed his hands. "Let me take care of this Mister Gary."

With surprising efficiency and quickness, Haruto wrapped Gary's hands in silk bandages. Once he was finished he let his hands free. "Sorry if I haven't introduced myself, I'm Haruto Shima. It's nice to meet you." Haruto wasn't sure what else to do at this point, he never really got far with people in general. He hoped everyone in the class would be his friend, if not well hopefully there are some who will be buddies like Clair! So for now he simply walked with the rest of the class towards their new dorm. He wondered if he'd have enough silk to decorate his room for the night? Hopefully.

IQ nodded along carefully as Yuri spoke, offering a small smile. "I understand. I hope I'm not coming across as doubting you or any of your capabilities. From my understanding, this class is those who didn't get placed in 1A or B by a very slim margin, other students from the other courses here at U.A, or from other schools, so I just want to make sure everyone's fairing well. As for Groceries, the dorm is stocked with the essentials so you'll be able to cooking food as well as getting snacks. Cafeteria only operates at lunch and breakfast, so we have to make sure everyone can eat at dinner since you don't return to a home or apartment. We'll collect a grocery list from your dorm every second weekend, and we'll make sure your restocked with anything on that list, and the necessities."

Hearing Akemi's comment he gave a nod, deciding to answer her train of thought next. "I haven't walked the dorms personally, but I do know their floor design to an extent. The first floor is the commons area with couches, tables, television, kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms. There's a courtyard outside the first level as well. Traditional Japanese culture operates off a communal bath system so the original dorms function under the same rule. However, due to this class being both domestic and foreign, Nezu elected that there will be a small selection of personal bathrooms as well to accommodate. So don't panic on that front. Your actual dorms begin on the second floor, ending on the fifth. There are four rooms per gender on each floor with five floors in total. Every student gets their own room equipped with air conditioning, toilets, beds, fridges, closets, and a balcony...so it's actually quite nice. Boys rooms are left wing, girls get the right."

His eyes darted towards Clair, his body swinging around so he was now walking backwards, hands folded behind his back. "Mr Smith, huh? Weird being called that, that's what everyone called my father. You are permitted to leave the campus on your free time, when you're not at school you're free to enjoy yourself how you see fit. As far as I know, the school and dorms don't allow gambling. Unless you're gambling for a bag of chips, I suppose. For actual money, no. For those of you who haven't received hero costumes yet since I know some of you come from hero courses, they should be waiting in your dorm rooms, there'll be a sticky note on dorm rooms to let you know where you are, they should be fully furnished by the time you get inside. Take you for any classes? Hmm...oh, do you mean like field trips? Yes, actually, there will be such things." Conroy paused, eyebrow slowly raising a bit at the question of 'are you single'. Well, that was an awkward question...why did he get the student with a crush on him? Clavis didn't have this problem. "Single by choice since middle school, not sure how or why that applies to your line of questions. As for Class ID cards, they'll be inside your bedrooms."

IQ gave a calm nod towards Asuka, the girl was observant and he could respect that. "Correct. This decision was made because unfortunately, Class 1A was frequently targetted by the League of Villains, and there was no guarantee they wouldn't start targetting other students. Your families however have been given a direct contact line with Principal Nezu as well as some pro's as far as I'm aware, so if there are any problems they'll be able to get help extremely fast. U.A has done everything it can to promote a safer environment in these strange times...and yes, I'm aware of the irony given your first lesson, I do apologize." A few more minutes of walking before the group arrived at what could only be described as a mansion, IQ giving a nod towards it. "Welcome to your dorm, part of the Heights Alliance. I'm also dorming on campus in the Teachers Quarter, so I'm available if needed after hours."

Asuka nodded her head in understanding in that IQ was saying as she followed him to the dorm area where he gave them information on the ins and out of the area and what they could do in their free time if they had any not that she minded since she was already planning on doing studding and training after she was finished with her school work. Asuka knew she was not built for brute strength type fights she was more of an ambush type fighter come in with the element of surprise but with her current speed that would not be happening . she needed plan out a way to increase her top speed, strength, and weight she can carry but that can be done after she is settles in her dorm room, before going to find her dorm she turned back to IQ.

Class 1-A has three very powerful quirks, explosion, one similar to all might , and a ice-fire. Those quirks alone can do some major damage if they were persuaded to join the apposing side and allowed to use their quirks with out restraint. Not to mention the rumor going around that one of the students from 1-A was kidnapped by the league of Villains in hopes of having that student join them which seemed to have failed since there is no talk of rouge UA student. People talk freely when they think no one is listening or they just don’t care who hears them IQ-sensei…

Though I do not like how you threw us into the deep end of a pool it is very much needed for those who think being a hero is an easy way to fame or recognition. A life of a pro-hero is unpredictable one you ether can take the pressure or you don’t. To civilians getting in to UA is a great accomplishment but to the villains and hero killers you are nothing but another target, and nether of them is going to use kid gloves against us.”
She said after a bit knowing from this moment on things are going to be getting a whole lot harder.
As for those who could not take the pressure would end up withdrawing from the hero program. The hero internship was going to be the biggest eye opener because they would be put in the field to deal with anything from minor crimes to backing up a pro hero in the case of them running in to the villain’s from the league of villains or nomus .

1629059874045.png Clair listened carefully to everything IQ had to say as the group made its way to the dorms. The aspiring hero was delighted to hear that the class wouldn't be gated within the campus, that alone was a huge relief. Clair had just moved here a week ago and it would be an awful shame if she couldn't take in the sights and culture of Japan despite being here for the foreseeable future. Besides that of course it meant she could go out to a casino if the urge were to strike. Between the two this was great news and a huge relief. Clair was also relieved to hear her hero suit would be waiting for her in her room alongside her official ID card. That made things a lot more exciting, she had of course seen the design stages of her hero costume but actually seeing it in person and trying it on, that was going to be a whole new experience altogether. Plus with her ID she could access The campus facilities, the gym, pool, indoor training rooms, and of course, the library and cafeteria too. Without it, she might as well just look out from her window at the school.

When IQ moved to answer about his status Clair blushed a bright red, she hadn't meant to ask the question and she certainly didn't expect such an answer. Thinking on the answer for a second Clair drew a blank, 'how old is one in middle school?'. The thought was of little importance considering she now knew he was in fact single but still, she'd have to inquire after with someone more versed in Japanese schooling systems. "I actually meant subject wise but field trips do sound fun. Oh and just to be clear, Gambling is fine so long as it's not for money?" Pausing for a second she repeated "After hours..."

When the group arrived at the dorm Clair's eyes went wide, this was no dormouse. This, this was a mansion! Was she really going to be living here? No way! It was huge! Moving inside Clair quickly darted off to find her room. Exploring the kitchen and bathhouse could come later! Clair was dying to see her room and her new costume.

As the group as heading to the dorms, Donny couldn’t help but over hear some of the chatter round him. Wasn’t like he had anything else to do since his phone was at the changing rooms. But hearing Asuka’s comments about heroes turning villains and the threat villains can pose to them made Donny remember some things about his village. It made him want him to chime in. ”F-F-Funny, you know… How v-v-villains think that the laws and s-s-s-stuff us heroes are suppose to f-f-follow will protect them. M-M-Maybe it’s just me but… B-B-Being a hero is for p-p-protecting innocent people. Because they’re s-s-s-so strong. N-N-Not to give villain’s a f-f-fair chance or something. Just imagine if like A-A-All-Might went all out, killing v-v-villains. M-M-Making their f-f-families responsible for w-w-what they did. N-Never holding back. Scary. E-E-Even heard a r-r-rumor he nearly broke s-s-someone’s spine during training.” It brought to mind how his village is kept safe. A town full of people with monsterous quirks, there’s always trouble makers coming around thinking they’re doing some service bullying them around. They usually get scared off once it’s made clear the village doesn’t have any heroes, but also kept itself safe. Living in the shadow of society where the ugly and undesirable gives you a certain amount of freedom you couldn’t get in proper society.

”I-I-In the end, power is j-j-justice… S-S-So I guess we gotta g-g-g-get stronger or else… Else… I dunno. Whoever w-wins is right.” Donny just drifted away from the conversation once they arrived to the dorms. He had a vague idea of where his room was, as IQ had explained the building layout. Donny just head straight to his dormitory. As IQ had said, it was already furnished and quite homely. The only difference is that instead of a bed, Donny had a notably large kotatsu in his room, as well as a large wooden barrel. The barrel was tightly sealed as it was something Donny had requested be brought from home. There was no key to this lock, at least not one Donny physically kept, as he simply slipped a tentacle inside of the lock to release the tumbler and reveal the content inside: Donny’s skin suits and gifts from home. But there was something else here too. It brought a small smile to his face.

”Well well well, long time no see…” Donny lifted up a black cloak with a bone white mask. His hero costume. Though he could tell significant improvements has been made to it. The mask itself is made of some sort of metal and even the eye and mouth hole was covered in a thick bullet proof glass, making it a pretty good shield. The cloak was a bit heavier than usual too: it must’ve been made of some sort of thick weave for durability, and it had plenty of pockets and straps on the inside to store supplies. Donny put both of these things on and liked how it covered his whole body. You couldn’t even tell he was a blob monster underneath it, even as he moved and swayed. He’ll need to be mindful not getting his cloak caught on things though. ”Probably something I need to practice.”

Aside from the outfit there were also gifts from home. Mostly snacks, but also some stuff for decorations. Posters, charms, toys, even a shrine. ”Oh gramps. A bit excessive but I’ll figure something out.” Taking his costume off Donny proceeded to unpack his personal things and sort them out in his room. He hung up posters over his barrel, attached the charms near the windows and doors, left the toys on the table to put together later, and set up the shrine near the balcony. He looked through the pantry and decided to make something special, grabbing a pot, a bag of rice, his apron, and some other ingredients, and headed down to the kitchen to cook. ”Thing's are about to heat up.”

Kai was somewhat disappointed he didn't get to suffer with his class, wasn't that whole thing what they call a 'team building exercise'? Would this put him behind in the metaphorical arms race of highschool social dynamics? Maybe. He was a bubbly guy, he was sure he could get a foot in there somewhere. Huh? Was someone talking to him? Kai just caught the end of her words, turning to look at her, blinking his eyes a couple of times before finally he dropped back down to earth. That nervous, nonchalant laugh of his slipped out. "I got caught up whilst running an errand, no biggie." This eyes followed her hand, eventually meeting with Clair who waved in their direction. His voice always carried a laid back, easy going energy even when he was nervous. "She get lost too? That suits me just fine. Takes some of the pressure off of me for being late." One of his mannerisms, a hand reaching up to run fingers through his locks of blonde at the back of his head. "Yo! Name's Kai-"

The teacher seemed eager to progress them forward. A shame, maybe he'd bump into the two of them again.

All of this talk of dorms had lead Kai to go find his own. Picking the right moment he slipped away from the group of students and nonchalantly wandered his way inside of the building. The common area was nice. Had he left his bag of shopping back at the class rooms? Teach said luggage was delivered so he could only assume this meant that too... These were the thoughts that rummaged through his mind along with the careful balancing of his quirk. With his hands snaking up through his blonde hair and linking behind his head he started the journey up to his room. Top floor, kind of felt like a penthouse but it was probably just because he joined the course late. The stairs took some climbing. Analysing the name-plates as he wandered past he eventually found his room. For someone so used to wandering here and there it felt strange to have a place to call his own, a place with his own name written on the door. There was a light hearted laugh when he saw that once again it was written as, "Kai Nobody." Honestly, he was in too deep and found it too funny to change it. Maybe he'll talk to Nezu or IQ about it later.

As his hand reached for the door handle there was a moment of intense hesitation. This was... His. It was strange, these emotions surging through his body and tickling his quirk. What were they? Kai shook his head, causing his hair to wobble as he pushed past the wall of emotion and stepped inside.

Huh, it was pretty plain. Room for customisation at a later date. There weren't many bags sat in the middle of the room, Kai liked to travel light. A neat, new set of the school uniform, the briefcase with his hero uniform, the single large suitcase with all of his clothes in and finally a bag of shopping, the errand that had caused him to run so late this morning. Stepping slowly over toward the bag he rummaged through it and pulled out a can of energy drink, a surprisingly large can. The rest of his things he waved off for the moment, grabbing his keys as he turned on his heels.... Then curiousity took a hold of him. It couldn't be exactly how he designed it, could it? Were they... That good? Cautious steps were taken toward the small hero briefcase as the lid was popped open.

Nevermind. Maybe they could. A suitably punkish mask with the ability to change the emoticons on the visor with the movement of his facial muscles. What a cute and cool item. Kai became a bubbling pot of excitement. "Absolutely awesome!" Whilst he was sure the mask was waterproof he didn't want to dump this vat of chemicals in his right hand anywhere near the mask... So he retired from his room and headed down to the common area where he rather lazily sprawled across one of the whole sofa. His head rested on one of the arms, feet hanging off of the other as the energy drink now in his left hand was being held from the top, hovering a few inches off of the ground.

Man this was the life.

Ken lead the injured group down the halls of the main UA building towards the infirmary, located on the ground floor for ease of access. He had contacted Recovery Girl ahead of time on the phone to let her know he'd be bringing a couple patients in, receiving a cursory earful with the promise of a longer scolding later on. It was completely deserved, seeing as he was responsible for any harm that came to the students during his lesson. IQ's earlier speech to the class expressed most of his feelings on the activity, but he knew he should address them himself.

Soon enough, they reached the infirmary where the resident nurse heroine was ready to receive them. Gesturing at the unconscious student in Ryota's arms, Ken started by telling her, "Lola needs immediate attention, Recovery Girl."

With only a quick glance at the situation, Recovery Girl got to work immediately. Planting a smooch directly on Lola's forehead, she directed Ryota to place her down on one of the hospital beds. "It looks like an overuse of her Quirk put her in a near-coma," she explained in a delicate but grave voice, "Is this the kind of exercise you start off a new class with?"

"Sorry, Chiyo."

When she leveled him with a scrutinizing look, he cleared his voice and turned to face the rest of the group.

"To all of you as well, I want to personally apologize for today's exercise. Like IQ said, it was a tall order to ask you guys to handle such a dangerous situation, especially as a group of people who had only met ten minutes prior. Still, you guys managed to exceed my expectations by actually making it to the end through a collaborative effort—and for that, I'm impressed. It may take some time, but I hope I can earn back your trust in me as a teacher. As long as I'm here, I won't let something like this happen again."

Ken bowed deeply, an offering of remorse, before returning to the purpose of their trip. "Recovery Girl will take care of anyone with serious injuries here in the infirmary, but if you just have cuts or bruises, a smooch from her should make you well enough to return to the dorms."

"That's right! I'll heal you right up, so please form a line in front of me."

Recovery Girl made her rounds with the students as Ken watched on in slight amusement. Her Quirk was definitely unique, one of the genuinely rare healing Quirks out there in the world, and a highly valued one at that. It was not all-powerful, however, only being able to speed up the body's natural recovery system. At the very least, it'd be able to alleviate the painful symptoms of most of the students' injuries.

"If you've received treatment and feel recovered enough, you can join the rest of your class at the dorms. They're located at Heights Alliance, the residence complex just across this building. IQ should be there to meet you guys. I'll be staying here for the time being."

amara gym.pngAmara and Natasha
Natasha took the medicine and just continued to softly grumble at the situation until they made it all the way to the dorms. She wasn't too interested in anyone else until the medicine started to go to work. It wasn't gonna do a whole lot, but it took the edge off. Yeah, yeah, the house situation was really cool. Natasha rubbed her forehead and the bridge of her nose, groaning softly. While others ran off to check out their new digs, she stayed put. The teacher had asked a question, but she didn't have a chance to answer before as he was so busy talking with other students.

She moved up to him, hands in her pockets, "Thanks for the Tylenol, Mr. IQ... or uh... I guess the Japanese say Senpai, right? I didn't get so hurt from the explosions or whatever, it was from my quirk. Every day my quirk changes, it's on a... sort of... slot machine, I guess. Today's quirk is Analysis, and it seems it has one hell of a drawback for my poor head. I used it to get through safely, but my head absolutely felt like it was gonna pop. It still kinda does, but, it's a little better."

. . .

Amara wandered upstairs, found her room, did a quick look around to see what all she had - her costume was there which was really cool. It looked like it arrived safely. She smiled at the clothes and at the bed before she nodded to herself. Right. This was the start of something good. Even if people got injured with this exercise, it was really good to show how much farther she needed to go. She needed to get better at taking charge of situations.

She headed back downstairs and to the kitchen. Danny was there and looked to be setting up to cook. He was nearly a foot taller than her... she felt so small. He seemed really nice and strong and confident in that session, though. She swallowed down her panic and approached him, coming up to his side at the counter, "Um... Hi. I... um... I wanted to ask if you... if you wanted to be friends. You worked really well in the... in that... practice test thing. I want to be more confident like you. So I... um... yeah..." She huffed a shaky sigh, "Sorry. I don't know how to make friends very easily. Do you need any help cooking?"

Having little to actually unpack, Yuri decided such a thing could wait. She had instead prioritized showing off the debris, emerging from the washroom cloud of steam to quickly change into a black sweater that drowned their form with an exception of red jeans and sneakers emerging from below the folds.

The rumbling from earlier had only grown louder but she was anything if not stubborn and so that was how she found herself cooking within the dorms kitchen. Namely checking out what was available and cutting away a variety of ingredients after filling up the rice cooker, though with the pan over the flame she was getting ready to just make the quickest meal she knew how, that being her own special fried rice that could be made both in vast amounts, simply and more.

She was just about to add everything to the Pan when two more of the students appeared, one apparently with a similiar idea "Oh Hey, Guess you had a similar Idea....but i can save you a job if you want some too, If not i should be done with the Kitchen in a few minutes. Feeling better after the fun in the dead city?" or they could just continue to ignore her like before but hey she she wasnt the type not to try .

Akemi Tajima
While she was still rather curious about Kai Akemi quickly forgot about the rest of her classmates once they arrived at their dorm, having memorised the location of her room she quickly headed upstairs and carefully navigated her way to a door with a braille nameplate set below where her name was written. Opening the door a series of excited whistles and screeches sounded from inside the room. "There's my baby!" She cooed as she closed the door behind her, opening a birdcage set up next to the window a cockatiel hopped out and perched on Akemi's hand and cocked his head at her. "Hey there Pocky, you get moved in alright?" She asked the bird while scratching his head, Pocky leaned into the touch for a moment then ducked his head to gently scrape away at a patch of dirt with his beak. "I know, I know I'll clean up soon, just wanted to look around first." Gently raising her arm she made a slow turn letting him survey the room for her then set him down on the desk. "Okay you stay here and explore, I'm gonna go bathe."

Heading into the shared bathroom Akemi scrubbed herself down thoroughly but didn't linger in the water to soak where she couldn't see, feeling properly refreshed she fetched Pocky from her room and set him on her shoulder before heading to the common area. Strolling in she saw a few people hanging around the kitchen and gave them a wave. "Hey everyone!" Deciding she wasn't hungry to get in there yet and see if the too many cooks saying could turn out to be literal she approached the sofa where the blonde boy from earlier had sprawled himself over and leaned on the back. "Hello again, Kai was it? Sorry for not introducing myself earlier, I'm Akemi Tajima nice to meet you."
