Maya let Ava sleep for some time and didn't ask her about her house. Then she finally woke her to tell her to get dressed for the wedding today. Ava got dress in really nice clothes (not too nice/fancy because she isn't rich). Maya, her son, and Ava all headed down to the wedding ceremony, they were almost late.

Elliot finishes and heads upstairs. Dresses into a dark blue tuxedo and pulls hair back. Gets to car and drives to the ceremony.

They ran to the doors and Ava was still tired. She had a bad hangover and was slow. She signaled Maya and her son to go in first. Maya entered and saw The sign showing Joseph and Amanda's faces. Her jaw dropped as she saw it. She was about to turn around but the ceremony was about to start. Ava was walking up the stairs slowly.

Elliot looks at the church. 'I shouldn't go the church. I should be at the party area... but I don't know where that is. maybe they'll tell me and I can slip out.'

As Ava made her way up the stairs. Maya ran out. "Ava..I really don't think you should go in there!" Ava looked at her. "Maya she is our best friend too..We are going in there." She said. "I really don't think we should go, let's go now!" Ava got frustrated. "Maya! Stop let me go in!" She moved aside from her and pushed the doors open. She looked down the isle and saw Joseph and Amanda. Her eyes widened.

Elliot looks for a parking spot and gets off. He sees two women and a boy in the front, he goes up the steps. "Ava?"

Maya looked at the man that called out for Ava but Ava didn't hear him. She looked out and Amanda saw her. Then Joseph saw Ava. Ava slowly walked towards them with her mouth open a little. She was shocked but she couldn't believe her best friend would do this. Amanda glared at Ava and then at Joseph hitting him on his shoulder. Ava came up next to them and Maya soon saw what was happening, she ran with her small son up to the front to get Ava.


"How...how..." Ava stuttered.


"How could I? I don't know..maybe I'm just better than you Ava.." Amanda responded. "And I thought you told her about this Joseph" She mumbled at him.


"Wh-why..?" Ava said to Joseph. "Why were you so nice to me yesterday...?"

"I did tell her Amanda, you were there." Joseph looks at Ava. "I was never nice to you. Don't know what you are talking about." Elliot reaches and sees what's going on. 'Oh no.'

 

[iMeisaki]

"You were nice to me though..I.." Ava didn't know what to say.


"Why don't you just leave now Ava..you're making this harder." Amanda said to her.


"But I thought..." She got cut off by Amanda.


"You thought what..I was your best friend? Security! Take Maya, her son, and Ava out of here!" Amanda yelled.


"You're awful! Get over here you stupid!!" Maya yelled out but everyone was taken into a back room where all of the settings for the wedding were.


Ava went silent and stared at the table while Maya started muttering about Amanda and Joseph. Maya's son was playing with random buttons and accidentally hit a button that turned on the loud speaker. Maya started talking about Amanda's previous dating history and Ava was talking about what happened yesterday with Joseph and also his dating history. Everyone could hear it and Amanda ran out after Ava. Ava, Maya and her son came out of the room seeing furious Amanda. Amanda had looked at Ava dead in the eye and slapped her.


"You ruined my wedding! Get out now!" She also pushed Joseph because she was angry hearing what Ava said. Maya took Ava and her son by the hand and they quickly left.

Elliot stands there stunned. He was the one responsible for some of this. As he sees Maya, Ava and her son leaving, he quickly exits by a side door. Hides behind some bushes as he sees Maya and Ava talking.

Maya puts her arms on Ava's shoulders and told her that everything was going to be okay. Ava was silent and took her hands off her shoulders she hugged her and said she was going home.


"Ava! Please be careful! I worry about you when you're like this!" She told her.


Her son looked down at the ground and Maya hugged him. Ava walked home and started crying. She didn't look where she walked because she didn't care and she was upset. It sounded like her world was coming down, the man she loved was marrying her best-no ex best friend and she wasn't notified at all. She crossed the street slowly and cars started to beep at her. She was still crying but she kept walking...

Elliot sees Ava go into the street and the car closing in. He dashes to her and pushes her out of the way, leaving him to get hit. He gets a few scrapes, a broken rib and a broken arm but he gets up, wanting to see if Ava is fine. "Ava, are you alright?"

 

[iMeisaki]

"What? Are you okay?! Why did you do that.." Ava thought to herself as this was an everyday thing. "Come on, I'll take you to the hospital.." She brought him up and walked with him to the hospital.

 

[lassassin]

"I did this because- I'll tell you later. Th-thanks," he winces as he gets up, his broken rib almost puncturing his lung. He places an arm around it, cradleling it. A few steps he took before he doubled over. "I can't walk to the hospital. Here," hands Ava a set of keys. "Get my car, it's the black Impala."

 

[iMeisaki]

She looked at the keys in her hand. "Alright, go to the sidewalk, I'll get the car. Just..wait." She said as she started heading towards the church parking lot again.

 

[lassassin]

The child of Maya looks at Ava.


"Where you going? Who is that?" Maya's son asked, pointing at Elliot who was slouching on a telephone pole.

Elliot lifts his shirt, seeing his rib colored with blue and purple bruise. 'This is bad.' He sighs and pushes off the telephone pole, leaning his weight on opposite side.

"I have to go somewhere to help that man. Tell your mother that I'm okay. Love you kiddo." She rubbed his head and ran to car and pulled up for Elliot to get in. Luckily, Ava wasn't wearing makeup so it wouldn't ruin her face after she was crying.

Elliot gets in the passenger seat slowly and pushes the chair to lay.


"Thanks."

 

[iMeisaki]

Ava was sniffling a little bit trying to stop crying. Tears were not falling from her face but Ava was still pretty upset. She was tense and kept her hands on the wheel. They were around the corner and she pulled up to the hospital. She got out of the car and opened his door for him to help.

He gets out and used the car as support. He grabs Ava's chin.


"Don't cry. He isn't worth it." Elliot says softly, taking shallow breaths and lightly caressing her cheek.

 

[iMeisaki]

She frowned and looked away. "Let's go in before anything worse happens.." She helped him inside and went to the desk to tell the nurse about the information. The other nurses helped out Elliot and brought him in the emergency room.

Elliot sighs in relief at being off his feet. The nurses give him painkillers and in a few minutes he starts to act mello and loopy.


"Ava? Where is my Ava?" Elliot laughs hysterically.

Ava looked at Elliot like he was crazy, how could a man that she just met, be asking for her like he's already known her?


"Since this was my fault, I'll pay for his medical bills so give them to me now before he asks for them." The nurse smiled and nodded and gave her the bills...Almost a thousand dollars.


Ava sighed but paid them with her credit card. Then she went in Elliot's room waiting with him while the doctors were checking the X-rays.

"There you are," Elliot says in a sing song voice. "Close the door. Imma gunna show ya something."


Motions her to do what he says and grins goofy like.

She slowly closed the door behind her not knowing what he intends to do and walked towards his bed.
