He walks beside her, albeit a little closer this time. They walk a block more until they reach a couple of stores. He touches the small of her back and motions for her to enter a small, cozy store.


"Alexandros! Guess who?"


"Yavlyayetsya to, chto vy brat?" (Is that you, brother?) A head pops out from under the counter, he looked like a much older Nico and beefier.


"Yes, it's me." Nico laughs as the man tries to get around the counter and embraces him.


"Polezno kto eto prekrasnaya dama?" (Good, and this lovely lady?) The man looks at Ava then grabs her hand and kisses it.


"This is Ava. She wants the finest chocolate fro-yo."


"Podstupila!!!" (Coming right up!!!) He goes back behind the counter and pours her a cup of chocolate fudge fro-yo.

When the man had kissed her hand, Ava blushed a little and giggled. She was grinning while they were talking. She turned to Nico.


"How do you know him?" She asked softly and giggled.

 

[lassassin]

"He's my second oldest brother. Don't let the muscle and height intimidate you, he is the softest and lovable of any of us." He explains and in response his brother chuckles and throws a rag at his face.

 

[iMeisaki]

Ava giggled.


"I'm glad to know. Nice place to and this yogurt is amazing!" She said, giving a thumbs up to Nico's brother.

 

[lassassin]

"O, ya lyublyu yeye . Posetit' mne v lyuboye vremya Ava . Bez platy za krasivoy damoy." (Oh, I like her. Visit me anytime Ava. No charge for the pretty lady.) Alexandros smiles at her and gives his own thumbs up to her.

Ava thought of what she was thinking and turned over to Nico.


She gave a small giggle. "What did he say?" She laughed while eating the yogurt.

 

[lassassin]

"He likes you and he said that you are welcome in his shop whenever and it's no charge for a cute person as yourself." Nico explains and throws back the rag which his brother catches one handed.

Ava had giggled and covered her mouth. "Thank you." She smiled and bowed her head as a thank you.

 

[lassassin]

"You are welcome." Alexandros speaks up with a heavy Russian accent, which makes the 'welcome' sound like 'velcome'.

Ava had giggled at his accent. Then she looked at her watch and her eyes widened a little. "Oh shoot..I have to go meet my friend Maya and I'll be a little late. I have to go now, thank you for taking me out. It was really fun." She smiled at Nico.

Nico nodded. 'Shoot and here I thought we could go to the river walk. Maybe next time.'


"I'll hail a cab then."


He goes out the doors, a chime is heard as he exited and left Alexandros with Ava.

Ava had finished up her yogurt and waited for Nico to come back. She checked her phone to see if Maya was going to call or text her.

Nico pops his head in and asks if Ava was coming out.

 

[iMeisaki]

Ava looked up. "Oh yea! Coming!" She smiled and walked out and waited with Nico for the cab.

 

[lassassin]

He flagged a cab and ushered Ava in but before he closed the door he asked for her number.


"You know, just in case we want to hang out sometime later on."

 

[iMeisaki]

Ava nodded her head. "Okay! Thank you again for tonight. Glad to see you again!" She smiled. Then the car started to drive away back to her Asian styled house.

"Wait, you never-" Nico frantically tried to get the taxi to stop, he had never received her number.


He trudged back to the apartment; his brother watching him go at the corner of his eye.


Nico opened the door and went straight to bed: a bit upset.

Ava went back to her house. Maya was waiting there while her son was jumping on the couch. "Hey! Where have you been you punk?!" Ava gave a small laugh as she walked in. "Sorry! I was with Elliot. I told him the news and then I hung out with someone that I hadn't seen in a while." Maya's face was a little shocked. "You have to introduce me to Elliot, he needs to go under my test. Last time you didn't do it! Look where that got you. Anyway, let's eat. I made some things." She said, starting to laugh. Ava nodded her head and got out three wine glasses, filling up hers and Maya's with wine and the third one with apple juice for Trevor, Maya's son.

"Look, auntie Ava." Trevor screeches and sloshes his apple juice to get to Ava. "Mah tooth. It fell." He grins, showing his gap between his bottom row teeth. He tongues it and giggles.


"I'm going to catch the tooth fairy."

 

[iMeisaki]

Ava started laughing. "Alright, put it under your pillow when you get home. Wash your mouth out with salt water first." She told him. Maya looked at me. "Maya, are you okay? We haven't been hanging out as much." Maya nodded her head. "Well my husband is home more now so he wants me to cook for him all the time..! Aish! I can't take that man sometimes.." She muttered to herself. Ava started laughing.

"Salt and water?" Trevor makes a disgusted face. "Gross."

 

[iMeisaki]

Ava held Trevor's chin lightly. "It'll stop the bleeding honey." She smiled and kissed his head. "Go on now, rinse your mouth..!"

Trevor smiles and runs to do as Auntie Ava told him to do, rubbing his head as he goes.

Ava looked back at Maya. "I can only stay for a little while, then I have to go back home." She said. Ava sighed. "Alright, at least you have someone to go to." She laughed.

The bathroom sink is heard.
