Mutual Repair (Actual Roleplay)

Bree was surprised when he didn't yell or slap her. She looked at his hand for a moment before taking it and stood up. "Sorry," she mumbled again looking down a bit.

Karl

"There is no need to apologize," he said once she was up. He let go of her right away. Who knew how comfortable she was with touching? Karl himself wasn't all too fond of constant or prolonged touching but whether it was a result of the sexual abuse or just how he was, he wasn't sure. "I mean you were the one who fell over."

He glanced over her shoulder for a moment then turned back to her. "Just leaving? You seem new. I am Karl. If you are going I hope you come back."

Karl gave her another smile. He wasn't really feeling all too positive today, but he often hid away how he was really feeling.

Bree looked at the door, then back over at the group and sighed. She walked back and took a seat again, she might as well stay a while, she knew when she got back home her father would be mad as hell, better to go latter.

Brianna smiled a bit at the girl who had spoken as she nervously rubbed her thumb nail. The panic in her chest grew but she kept a tight hold on it and answered in a small voice, "Yes, this is my first time. Have you been here before?"

Lily

Lily nodded. Ah so she was new. "Only like a week, so I am practically new as well." She gave her another weak smile. At least this was something. Hopefully she could continue with it and not let the conversation fade out. "But it seems like a good place so far. I'm hoping it will help out."

Karl

Karl shook his head. He glanced out the door and then took a seat next to the girl who was about to leave. He was glad that she had decided to stick around instead of going. Not that he would have stopped her from leaving if she had. Still he didn't think it was his intervention that got her to stay.

"Changed your mind? Don't worry this place is good. I'm sure you won't regret the decision. I am Karl by the way."

"I'm Bree," she told him, she wasn't really use to talking to anyone other than Michel. She didn't know if this place would help her or not but she guessed that she would try it out and see. "So I am guessing you have been here before," she told Karl. She didn't ask why because then he would ask her why she was here and she wasn't sure she wanted to say it just yet, or at all, she knew she would have to sooner or latter wasn't that why she was here?

Karl

"Yeah I've been attending for two years. I actually stopped summer of last year but not by choice," Karl told her. He nodded. "Bree. That's a good name." He gave Bree a small smile. She was probably nervous and he didn't need to see her almost vanishing act to know that. All first-timers were nervous. Heck Karl was still nervous most of the time.

"Don't worry. I won't ask why you are here. But I do hope it helps. We are all struggling. There is no reason to feel like you are alone."

ALONE... the word stuck in her head. She was alone, because no one would really understand what she was going through... and they would never really care... Why would they? It wasn't there problem to handle with every day. She turned to face the boy. "So tell me, has this helped you?" she asked him. If he had been here for two years and he is saying that this will help shouldn't he feel okay by now to go out of the group? But then again she had never been to one of these and didn't know how these things worked.

Karl

"Of course." Karl was a mess. He was still a mess but he was a better mess. A well kept together mess. A mess that could pass as something else. But it was hard to get fully beyond what had happened to him. He could still feel the hands on his body sometimes and he still got messages from a few attackers taunting him.

"But what is wrong with me," he said, pointing to himself, "it's not an easy fix. I doubt any of us are. We just..." Karl felt the words escape him and shrugged. "It's nice not to be alone," he repeated.

Bree nodded at the boy, wondering what had happened to him, then pulled out her phone. There was messages on her phone.

Dad

Were the f**k are you?!?

Michel

Your dad is having a fit at home looking for you.

Bree slid her phone back in her pocket and gave a nervous shaky sigh. She was dead when she came home. She was old enough to go and live alone but... but she couldn't she couldn't let her new little sister live there all alone. Not with those people, not with her father. She wouldn't let her future little sister get hurt. She couldn't let what happened to her or what happened to her futre sister.

Karl

"You going to be okay," Karl asked when she put her phone away. He felt like it really wasn't his place to ask but he couldn't help the concern. "Not that it's any of my business."

"Yeah I'll be fine," she said but couldn't hide the nervousness in her voice. Her father would be so mad... this was a bad idea. She tapped her finger nervously against her thigh nervously as she waited for this thing to start.

Karl

"Well if you say so," Karl said. He looked around. Things were kind of quiet which was odd. He wondered if maybe something was going on. He shrugged. Things would start when they would. He learned that from his time here.

(Is anyone else still in this rp besides us?)

(I don't know... Hmmm I wonder where they all went?)

Bree sited and waited for this damn thing to start all ready. She was so close to just getting up and leaving. Did these things usually take this long to start up, maybe it just seemed like it was taking forever because she was in hurry...she would make small talk to the boy next to her bit didn't exactly know what to say she didn't have much social skills.

[Do you want to stop? I think they all dropped it. Or we could try and make it into a private rp if you want to keep going somehow?]

((Hey, I stopped getting alerts for this, but Skye hasn't been back for a while and my character Arian hasn't really been doing more than arriving, so if you guys like you could take your part of the story and make a private RP, or just go to PMs, and if the Rp ever starts again you can just pick up where you left off here))

(It is not dropped by others I've just had a very hectic life. Please feel free to continue here, I swear I'll be back soon. Life is just... going crazy right now. I'm trying not to get evicted from my apartment among other things. I'll be back soon, I swear, for now feel free to continue here I want to keep this active!)

((Oh, man, I'm sorry, Renn :( I hope everything turns out okay. Don't worry about replying so soon. Take all the time you need))

{Okay. Nalakitty if you want I can have Lily interact with your character since you said they weren't doing anything}

Karl looked around hoping that things would start soon. He didn't want anyone to walk off assuming that nothing was going to happen.

"So why did you decide to join?" Maybe if he kept the conversation going he would keep someone else here.

"Because my friend pushed me here and told me it was better for me to talk to other people about my... problem other than him," she told him truthfully. Mat -her friend- had pushed her hear, but she wasn't so sure she could tell anyone about her problem, it took a while to tell Mat about it.

"Well do you actually want to talk about them?" Karl did think it was healthy not to keep everything in, but he himself had trouble talking to people about what happened. Sexual assaults, especially with male victims, weren't taken seriously by everyone.

"I was in a similiar situation. A ex and good friend of mine got me to come. Said it's be good for me."

"I don't know... It wont really make a difference if I tell anyone about it, they aren't going to care it's not there problem," she said the last part in a sigh. That's how she felt, if she told anyone they wouldn't care, maybe pretend to, and what good would that do for her.

"That is not a good way to think. Maybe someone will not care, but there will those who do. If no one cared about other's problems then we'd have a very lonely existence and we wouldn't exist as we are."

Karl felt like he was one of the lecturers that he heard at a few places before here. "Sorry. I am getting too nosy and pushy. I don't mean it."

"it's okay," she sighed. He had a point, should she tell him? About her brother... About her father and what he did to her, and her family. Could she trust him? This was the part she hated about herself, being so untrusting of people. She had to tell someone, at least one person. "Do you really want to know?" she asked him. Of he didn't she wouldn't say anything, witch she was fine with.
