Emma looked at him. "So. Hizako really seems confident in his ability to deal with things on his own." She said. "However I think Jessica disagrees. Considering she asked very member of school faculty who would listen where he lived." She said thoughtfully. "Still he seems like a good friend to have."
"A while. We're two teenagers with a highschool diploma and not much else."

"Sure you don't have any super hero friends who could help?" Sage asked.

"Well this is me." Emma said stopping at her house. "It was fun Tommy. I hope to see more of you at school." She kissed his cheek and left.
Hizako looked at the time. 8 PM and it was raining. He hoped Tommy had gotten a cab. You'd be a fool to try and walk in this weather. "Hizako.... When's the food gonna be ready?" His father asked in Japanese. Hizako responded also in japanese. "It's almost ready." He said.
Peter shrugged. "Not really."

"Yeah" he blushed red. "See you at school." He started walking home when it started to rain. He didn't mind the rain.
Sage shrugged. "Okay, hmm we'll figure out something "

Against a tree was and Umbrella. Hizako's umbrella. Not real explanation as to how it ended up there but there it was. Hizako being Hizako.
Hizako finished cooking dinner for his dad and cleaned up without eating anything. He couldn't stop thinking about how the day had turned out. He had dances with Jessica. But that was really the most he saw for himself. He wasn't the romantic type. Nor did he expect romance to come his way. (still need a CS for her)
"Yeah. If I can get a job I could probably pay for rent at most apartments."

When he got back the umbrella disappeared. It reappeared next to Hizako who had fallen asleep studying again. He never told anyone about this. Even Tommy had never been to his house. He took care of his father. His Dad worked and office job and provided money. But he was useless at home. So Hizako did the cleaning, the cooking, and pretty much everything else. He barely had enough time to study for classes. It was the real reason he slept through classes. Not because he was a slacker but because he was so busy at home he didn't have time to take care of himself. He didn't blame his father though. His father was a good person at heart. But his mother was a different story. Soon after his mother had a miscarriage and his baby sister died before birth she changed. It ended with his parents getting divorced and her getting most of the money. Had it not been for the fact that Hizako was old enough to choose who to stay with she probably would have gotten him too. But he chose to stay with his father.
"A little." He said. "Maybe."

The next day Hizako showed up to school as early as he always did. He turned in his work to the the teachers and went to the library.
"To the bank I guess."

"Yeah..hmm I wonder what I could do? It's not like there are wizards here who need assistants." Sage said.
