He shook it. He looked at the masked Peter. "Spider-Man." He said. "You from New York? Dressed pretty strangely for it." He said.
"Hopefully good things" she said
"Well better things than what the paper has to say about you." He said.
Sage nods
"Anyway. I am... well similar to what your hard hatted friend is." He said pointing to Engineer. "I build things. But I also Imbue things with Magic,"
"So you enchant them?" She asked
"That and more." He said. "Maybe you'll see if we agree to work together. All of us." he said looking at the mercenaries.
Sage looked at Peter. "Think you can put aside your differences for now"
"Fine with a rule. No killing." Peter said. "Yeah sure whatever." Scout agreed. He crossed his fingers behind his back.
"Good, now we can work together" she said
"Alright what do we all know?" Jorduse said. "We know that the monster are normally docile." Peter said. "Yeah and we know dat te weird lady who's making them hit people is also makin' 'em a pain in the ass to take on." Scout said.
"Yep" sage nods
"That's... all we know?" He asked. "Well we did find a treehouse." Peter said. "Some kids had been there recently but we don't have a way to track them."
"You would think with this stuff they would want to stay home," she said
"Unless the children know somthing that we do not." The German Doctor said.
"Like where the missing kids are? " she said.
"Where or what the green lady is. We find that out. We find her." he said.
"well she has to know magic." Sage said thinking. " should we rest and try searching in the morning. Maybe we can try talking to the monsters again."
"Yeah that's a good idea," Peter said, Engineer smiled. "I'll put up sentries around to guard the town."
"I would bring out my demons but I been asked not to summon them till further notice." She said
"Ah it's nothing I got it." Engineer said pulling out a wrench and tool box.
Sage nods.
Peter went to talk to the villagers to see if there was anywhere to stay the night.
They said there was a small inn but they were unsure if it would hold everyone.
Peter counted out. He and Sage. 2. Plus the Mercs made nine more. eleven. Plus Jorduse. 12.
