At that instant, a large ovular black pod dropped from the sky, headed on a collision course for the Blind Harvester. Within the outer shell of this pod were several layers of metal, each constructed of a different chemical makeup. Deeper still within this pod was a man - no, a machine - wired to the shell. He was completely naked, hairless, and featureless except for his face. From his back protruded several cords and tubes, connected to the outer shell. The Pod crashed towards the earth.


...A couple feet away from its target. The man inside sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "Okay, let's try that again!" The outer shell assembled into an armament of several guns. Without delay, they fired. Bullets ricocheted everywhere, a maelstrom of chaos and fire outside of the pod. Inside, the man grinned. The fire ceased. "Another easy victory for CM-08!" He yelled, pumping his fists in the air. He glanced to the display, ready to see the results of his labor. Crap, did he forget to switch off holographic bullet mode? CM-08 facepalmed. "You know, I kind of hoped to not fuck up like this on my first mission."


Before he could do much more, however, the beast retaliated. It slashed against the walls of the pod with its thousands of claws. The pod shook and groaned under the power of the strikes. CM-08 just screamed his lungs out, randomly activating every switch at his disposal. First, the primary engines started. Immediately, the pod began to soar towards the sky. Next, guns randomly appeared and disappeared on the surface without a single shot being fired, as the pod zigzagged around the sky like a madman. Suddenly, the engines disengaged. The pod dropped to the floor - and the Blind Harvester was crushed underneath it. Before it could struggle, the pod exploded, incinerating everything within a 10 foot radius.


The Blind Harvester had been slain. But at what cost?
