Well long distance running is considered with a move action (speed 0)... it's not sprinting like dash, but it's still running.
Formula's Dexterity yards per move action.
So the bonus to dexterity still applies to long distance running.
This way a low stamina being will run as fast as the other, but in the long run, he will faint before the others do.
