Fantasy Moondrop Town: A Fantasy Harvest Moon RP (OOC)

--Oh! And not all festivals have a massive "festival" right? Like for some of them (Valentine's Day as an example) it's not a thing that has a full on celebration, it's just celebrated between people?

Sure go ahead and make it if you can handle it. And you are correct about the festivals. Not all of then are a full celebration, some are between families/lovers.

lol then could I reserve the fisherman?

I did a thing for starting character journal. Hirohito's impressions of the people. I put down most of the townsfolk here and will add others once they're finished. Warning... Wall of text.

Character Journal, Hirohito:

Relations Modifier (I guess idk): Hirohito initially has a positive start with all the townsfolk regardless. While he may not agree with some of their actions or behaviors, Hirohito looks sees all the townsfolk as the closest thing he has to family. Another chance at family. So yes… There may be those rude to him or reckless but he will try his best to make sure the town remains in harmony. It is easier to gain positive relationships with Hirohito than it is to gain negative relationships with him. That being said, those who wish ill on the town and try to cause harm will quickly fall in Hirohito’s eyes. He may still try to aid the individual because maybe he just wants to see people improve with their daily lives.

Bell: Hirohito sees all in Moondrop town as part of his family. That being said, Bell might just be a family favorite. Bell is the closest thing Hirohito has to a son these days and the old man sees a lot of potential within the crow-clad gentleman. They have similar interests and both have pride in their skills as warriors. Hirohito sees strength in the work ethic Bell has and greatly appreciates this. Yes, Hirohito may be hard on Bell sometimes. He’ll be sure to scold fowl behavior and hand off plenty of paper work. He’ll push Bell to what seems to be too much. Hirohito can be more than a hard-ass on Bell sometimes. This is all a side of Hirohito he seldom shows others. The reason being is that Hirohito is putting a lot of investment into his assistant. He wishes to see him blossom into both a fierce warrior and respectful leader. Why? Because it is tradition for a son to take his father’s place in Hirohito’s culture.

Also… He may bother Bell to get to know Amu better. (wink-wink nudge-nudge) @Sagitarius

Ben: Hirohito finds a great appreciation for Ben’s positive attitude and hardworking mindset. The world could always use more who always act rather than slothing about. The optimistic mindset Ben carries is also appreciated. Sometimes people just need an uplifting tone to brighten a dim day. @Hoki

Nym: Hirohito wasn’t too sure about Nym at first. The snake like attitude and mysterious aura about Nym are hard to not be weary of. With the time in town, Hirohito has grown to like Nym more as he attempts to understand him. Perhaps they’re due for a talk. @Marshmallow

Miyuki: Not that’d he’d ever say this, but Miyuki is the kind of girl Hirohito would’ve been all head-over-heels in his youth. If only for looks alone. Of course it would be far too inappropriate to say that at his age but he can always appreciate youth and beauty. At Hirohito’s current age he’d find her antics and strive for style more humorous than attractive. Miyuki seems to be a very aggressive type and will simply work to temper any aggressions if he can. @Illusive

Erika: A young and sweet girl. Seems about the impression most have of Erika and Hirohito would be the same. He’d enjoy her company quite a bit and try to encourage the girl to expan her horizons in life. @animegirl20

Khiel: It will be… difficult. Difficult to understand Khiel properly. She seems just the type that goes against Hirohito wishes for in her lazier attitude and fowl mouth. He sees hope for her still. It’ll take some time and Hirohito would make sure she’s well supplied at the store. @Yunn

Lizzie: She seems to have the managing of the restaurant down and for that, Hirohito is thankful. The town needs a competent cook and Lizzie makes it a point that she is more than able to handle herself.

Ricky: Lizzie’s adorable brother. He has a rather defensive behavior for a child as young as he is and Hirohito can’t help but wonder if a lack of a father figure has had a negative effect on the boy. He’ll keep a close eye on Ricky. @SansLovesPugs

Rovan: He’s an interesting case. A sad tale and Hirohito feels Rovan doesn’t want others to pity him. He’s been afflicted by the curse of Moondrop town far more than anyone else and the result can be terrifying. He’s lost his speech and thus only paints with his single remaining hand. Hirohito makes it a point to be friendly to Rovan and to care for the afflicted man.

Amu: If Bell is close enough to Hirohito as a son then Amu is the closest thing to a daughter for the elderly man. They have similar interests and Hirohito loves her intellectual being and mind. The dedication and responsibility Amu has, along with her ability to defend herself and others, is just what Hirohito would’ve wanted in his daughter. He’s always inviting her for tea and shogi when he has free time. Kise is her playful young brother. Honestly, Hirohito looks for opportunities to going exploring and climbing with Kise more than anything else. Hirohito will always make it a point for him to be good to his sister. @Danniii

Amatsuki: Beautiful and motherly. She shares a similar care for the townsfolk that Hirohito which allows them to be good friends. They get along well, have some similar interests, and Hirohito would gift her flowers from time to time. Seems like it’d be ideal for an elderly couple yet Hirohito couldn’t bring himself to it.

Scipio: A very detached and perhaps mysterious man. Hirohito finds the calm of Scipio to be soothing at times and has enjoyed his presence. He appreciates that Scipio knows respect to others. The only issue is that Scipio’s reclusive nature can be a bit worrisome at times. @OverconfidentMagi

Michael: He fits the shy librarian vibe rather well. Time is needed to ease the rabbit-man into larger environments and that’s just fine. Similar to Amu, Hirohito sees Michael as an intellect and will invite him to play Shogi often. @LastRomeo

I went ahead and reposted my character journal for Hirohito into the notes tab. Glad you guys like it.

@Ashs Pikachu Hey there friend, I saw that you posted in the sign up, thanks for joining. But i do have two problems with your CS. first, his age. If you read the information well, you would have noticed that all characters need to be 18+ so please fix that. And also, do you mind changing up his Face claim? He is quite a popular character and even so, i dont think he fits the theme of the story.

just a little question. That book on Michael's CS...is that a placeholder for his picture?
I have a separate accordion inside my Requisite slide with the pictures of him. Sorry if it wasn't obvious. None of my pictures really blended with my background, so I put a book there to be a symbol for his role instead. I can change it and put a picture of him there instead too.

Speaking of character images...

Okay so I'm writing up and polishing a second character right now. One I won't introduce for a bit into the RP. (Maybe when a story event is triggered idk. I want to find a moment that fits to throw the character in.) However I'm having trouble finding an anime image that fits. Y'all seem to have a library of gifs and images and I thought I'd ask for some websites to be thrown my way so I can look for something that fits just right. Any help is appreciated. Q.Q

EDIT: Also is magic something present in the whole world or just Moondrop Town?

Well I just usually use Google images, zerochan or Animedatabase.com. also, moondrop town is located in the magical world, like the world where the harvest goddess lives. But the town shows itself to humans from the human world during the nights of a full moon. Meaning yes, there are monsters and creatures and things like that. But not demons or angels. Those do not exist in the HM world.

I finished up Scipio's character. I'll get to work on what he thinks of each of the other characters soon.

I'll keep searching until I get a close enough match.

Just to clarify, (apologies for being redundant) Magic exists OUTSIDE of Moondrop town? As in characters know and could study/practice it before arriving into town.

No, moondrop town exists in the magic world. There are 2 world's that r compleatly separate, the magic world and the human world. Moondrop town can be seen in the human world only during a fullmoon. The magic world is something compleatly separate. But yes, there are characters that already lived in that world (like the mayor) and yes, characters can study magic and explore outside the town. Just be careful with monsters
