Five Thousand Club
The bar was quiet but busy enough, like most nights. List was behind the counter, arranging glasses and bottles and cleaning counters in between making drinks for the customers that either came in new, approached the bar, or just waved at him from their table. He never forgot what they'd ordered, so when all they wanted was another it wasn't any trouble. Crane was sitting at the bar, a glass and a bottle sitting in front of him and without much interest in what was going on around him, as no one had tried to start a fight yet. Both he and his brother were, of course, armed and able, no matter how much either had drank.

Nicolai was sat at the bar next to Crane and had already snatched the glass away from him, frowning disapprovingly. "Will you stop? You've drank enough already."

Crane smirked at him and went to take the whole bottle from the other side of the counter, but Nicolai snatched it first and placed it on his other side, away from the light-haired man.

"You're on duty!"

Crane rolled his eyes, but stopped trying to reach for the drink or glass. "I could get rid of any of these hacks with the whole bottle in me."

Nicolai just glared and shook his head. Not on my watch.

Kai was walking down the ally with her fist balled up in anger. Yet another attempt from a gangster member tried to pull one on her. Her knuckles were red and bloody, as she turned the corner to find a simple bar. "Just what I needed..." She said, talking to herself as she walked in, rather slow in a tired or creepy way. The atmosphere was in a happy way since the people made it as so, but as she walked in, it turned into a chill, darker atmosphere because of her darkness that lies beneath her bones; As well as the souls.

Katrina wasn't sure how she ended up on this side of the town. She had been exploring the city more and more to try and get her bearings. Having found a family that took care of her once she arrived in this strange new world, she stayed with them, keeping her appearance a secret until she could afford her own place to stay, acting almost like a vigilante by taking bounty hunting jobs, something she always wanted to do even in her own world...

As she came upon a bar, she frowned. She had no clue what the legal drinking age was, but she knew taverns were a great source of information. Entering inside, she heard the gentle buzz of conversations that were going on within. She kept a hooded sweatshirt on to hide her wings, though they felt cramped and crowded. She took a seat away from everyone else, hoping no one would notice her, and sat down comfortably at the table, closing her eyes and listening for leads, or any information she could use just to live life normally. It seems a lot of people enjoyed drinking and going out, though why she could never figure out...

List kept an eye out whenever newcomers came in, waiting for them to come to the bar and order because this late in the day there weren't any servers - men or women. He didn't think much of the people that walked in, though one appeared much too young to be in a bar, and much too shifty for his tastes. It was when the first, older girl walked in, though, that something appeared wrong. Nicolai went quite and tense, a hand curling over the tattoos on his neck as if he could hide them, hide what he was, and he was pulling a face like something smelled bad. His senses had been greatly enhanced ever since his 'change.'

"Can I help you, miss?" List called in her direction, expressionless as ever as he leaned an elbow against the bar across from where Crane sat. "Bathroom's in the back, there," He pointed towards the door, then just held a hand up with his fingers extended, turning it back and forth to indicate the mess she'd made of her knuckles, "For the hands." She'd been in some kind of fight. If she was going to be bringing that fight into his bar, she would be ejected from it, but until then she was just another customer.

Kai's attention was fixed on a man near the counter, as she nodded. "Thank you..." She smiled slightly and walked away to the direction he appointed at. She walked in, and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked like a mess, especially her hair. "Eugh!" She muttered, washing her hands and walking back out.

She silently walked towards the counter and sat there, twiddling her fingers quickly. She felt the energy inside her twirling with the momentum in her fingers.

Nicolai was tense still, and Crane was giving him looks that questioned what was making the other man edgy, but List ignored them both. "Care for a shot?" He asked once she was seated and seeming expectant of something. He held up a slim, dark bottle. "First one's on the house. If you've got some ID, that is."

Crane stood up and just walked away to go e where the other new customer had sat down, leaning with a hand on the table. "Nobody comes into a bar and sits down without gettin' a drink." He said, eyeing her suspiciously. "How old are you, girl?"

Katrina jumped when the man came by her. She blinked, her eyes clearly not human, but she did her best to look casual and hope that the lights in the bar were dim enough for him not to notice, "I'm 18...I really am not sure what the drinking age is around here...I can leave if you wish." She stated nervously. "I was just listening in for any information. I'm looking for information on criminals that are 'Wanted'. Perhaps you could help me?"

It wasn't your orthodox conversation, but Katrina knew she had to get information somehow. Her food stores were starting to run low at home.

A normal person would've paused, perhaps acted surprised or demanded she leave because of drinking ages. But he knew List would never serve her, so it wasnt as if the owner would lose his license or they would get pegged for selling to minors, so he just gave a predatory grin and sat himself down across from her, folding one ankle over his knee and tilting back in his chair. "Well, if its criminals you're looking for, this bar's not nearly seedy enough, but it's probably the only one that'll let you get past the front door. Drinking age is 21 'round here."

'ID?!' She thought rapidly, and figured that she'd just show him. Although she never liked to show her ID, while she was getting her photo taken, something strange was felt deep around her. And when it took the shot, in the photo a pair of red eyes and a faint moaning skull. Kai silently pulled it out from her wallet, and handed it too him. She was scared to know what he'd think, and just went along with it.

"21...I, I see." She frowned, "Well, I don't like drinking anyway..." She watched as he sat down and she stood up, a bit nervous, "I should get going, then. I don't want you guys getting in trouble if I'm here. Besides, I'm just trying to figure out my surroundings. This city is huge, I want to make sure I get my bearings while I can. You see, I just moved here, and it's hard for me to get used to how everything works in a massive place like this." She motioned towards the busy world outside.

List took the ID from her, raising an eyebrow just slightly at the panicked face she'd made, but had the best of poker faces on when he looked at the picture. He ignored it, as best he could while still filling the information away for later, and looked for the identifying marks of a legitimate ID before handing it back to her. "All right." He said, pouring the shot and setting it in front of her. "On the house, then. Let me know when you've decided what else you'd like." He didn't know what this girl was, but he had a feeling they would need to find out, sooner rather than later.

Crane watched as she stood but didn't make any moves to stop her. "You want to find your way," he said, shrugging a little and watching her probably a bit too intently than was normal, "you'd best find a map." There was something strange about this girl. He was starting to want to know just what that was.

((Sorry guys, had to do a family thing. And now I'm playing Twilight Princes :3))

Izumi was already in the bar and she stumbled to the counter asking for another shot. She was slightly drunk and it showed as her face was flushed. "Bartender...please?" She said and gave him a little wink as well and a sly/cute smile. She traced hew clawed finger on the bar in circles. She was using her normal disguise that she used when she went out into these human establishments, her brown hair short in this disguise and a braid down the side. Something she picked up from some online hair style she saw. She also wore some...ugly, in her opinion, human clothes.

Kai put the card into her wallet and stored it away into her pocket before grabbing the small glass and poured it in her mouth, swallowing it. For some reason, she was hungry. But it wasn't the regular hungry... She was hungry for human souls. But the hunger was slight, and it barely budged. "Do you have Bud Light or Coors? Or something that is most used here? Either one is fine..." She slightly smiled again, and scratched at the wooden counter.

List just nodded and gave her a light beer, as many of the women that came to this like it. He popped off the ca for her and just let her have it, stepping away to deal with the next customer. She had more than once tried to come on to him, as if it would get her more or cheaper drinks. "One more." He said, pouring it and setting it in front of her, "And you settle your bill before I give you anything else. You're reaching your limit." He would have to cut her off soon.

"Oh poo." She said still giving him a smile. She reached into her purse and pulled out of credit card, she figured out how to use this human money, and swindling from rich guys helps her pay for all the things she loves. She also slipped his a card with a wink. "Whenever you're feeling...lonely and want some company.." She winked. "Give me a call sweet cheeks."

She nodded in a thanks as she took a sip of it. 'Kill him, he is not worthy to live...' A dark voice called in her head. 'What? Why? He looks like a good man, he does deserve to live his life!' She responded in her head. 'Only the weak would see on the outside. Perhaps another one? His brother... The special one...' 'What special one?' 'His brother consists of supernatural abilities like you...' 'Uhh... Wow, okaaayyy....? And why would I want to kill him?' 'Because... I can feel your hunger growing by the second...' it's voice echoed in her head, as she squinted at it... "Stop.... Stop...." She repeated a few times, and looked for the twin. "Huh... So he has supernatural abilities too, eh?" She muttered to herself, and wanted to know what they were exactly. She also felt as if the bartender was suspicious of her, so she kept almost too much of a poker face.

((Nicolai's the werewolf. And he's not related. Crane's List's brother, but he's just cray-cray lol))

List eyed the card she'd given him, telling him to call, and just made a noncommittal sound as he took her credit card away to settle her bill. "I'll keep that in mind." He said, though he had no intention of calling and would quite possibly burn the card on the way home just to entertain Crane. Nicolai was still sitting tense whe he'd been so List walked over and dangled an empty shot glass in front of him. "You could use it." He said, enticingly, but Nicolai just frowned.

"It's poison. I'd rather pour it down the sink." Nicolai didn't like the way the girl nearby was talking to herself. Something strange was going on and it had shivers running up and down his spine.

((OOOHH..... Fine... then, forget about that...))

Kai picked up her head and gulped down another sip, then thought for a moment. What if someone in here was onto her? Possibly, but possibly not. She sensed someone that was quire suspicious of her. "Relax.." She whispered, before grabbing her drink and taking down another gulp.

List could see Nicolai's metaphorical 'hackles' raised, though he himself hadnt caught whatever the girl had said. He went about his business, but kept an eye out, ready for any signal that things were going wrong. Meanwhile, Nicolai gave the girl a quick glanced and curled his fingers tight against the bar so he wouldn't go for his gun. "Telling someone to relax," he hissed, "Never, ever, makes them actually relax." There was something about her he didn't like, something that made his Instincts - and he couldn't help capitalizing it in his head, as they were wolf instincts and not his own - tell him to growl. To snap and shift and either run or fight. He fought them back, as he had been doing for years, and bit his lip to keep from baring his teeth. He would end fights if they were started, but he never liked starting them.

Spirit is outside the bar mumbling to herself looking at a map of this town. She sees the bar is still open at this time of night. "Oh thank goodness." Spirit goes up to the bartender. "Excuse me, I just need directions. I am looking for somewhere to stay tonight and" she opens the map entirely on front of the bartender "I just cannot figure out this map at ALL. I cant even find where I am!"

Bianca is in the back of the bar hiding behind the trash can. Sometimes people drink so much and order a burger or something and the waitresses are demanded to throw it out even if the people that payed for it didn't even eat it at the end of the day. This is where Bianca comes in. She takes the burger or any other kind of food as a treat for herself every so often. She checks the watch that she stole from a busy human and crouches. It is almost time for the food be thrown out.

Kai shot her head the the man whom sat near her. "I never asked you... I told myself." She turned her head back to where it was. She usually didn't like to talk to strangers that way, since it was rather rude and ignorant.

The worst thing she felt right now was the cold chill that was brought here by her, and the man next to her was onto her. "...And you're right, it doesn't help. But the fact that something happening...-" 'Stop. Right. There.' Her mind acted up. 'You are going to blow it! ARE YOU CRAZY?!' She thought.

Katrina looked at the man. Something about him did seem off. The way he looked at her, the way he spoke. But she just sighed, "Do you happen to have a map? I'm not sure where to get one. And I guess you're right, this city is so large that it's easy to get lost. And the street names don't help...they're all silly names instead of numbers, I can't find a single street unless I stumble onto it." She gave a light chuckle.

List gave half his attention to what was happening over at Nicolai's seat, but was being pulled forcefully into a conversation with a girl that spread a large map onto his bar. Sighing, he took a look at it and gestured off to the side. "Face the door." He resisted the urge to roll his eyes when all she did was look at him. "Just face the door." When she had complied, he flipped the map around and handed it to her. "You're facing north now. Follow the map key, and you'll get yourself righted. You need a cheap place to stay, there's a motel two blocks east of here."

Nicolai was frowning now, casting worried glances at the girl that seemed to be having some sort of headache if the way she stopped and just squinted meant anything. "Is . . . Is something wrong?" H didn't like her, and if he could get her out of here, he would, even if it meant helping her. He just wanted her away from List and Crane.

"We don't sell maps here." Crane said, shrugging a bit, and just watching still, a faint glint of interest in his eyes. He wanted to know who this girl was, and what she was running from. If she weren't running, hiding, or just lost, she wouldn't be here, thinking she could hang out in a bar while underaged. "There's a gas station, couple blocks that way," he jerked his thumb in the right direction. "Got maps there. Local ones, but good enough."

Katrina nodded softly, "I...I see." Shoving her hands in her pockets, she shifted one of her wings slightly in the sweatshirt, the ribs cramping up from being tightly sealed within. "I'll go do that then, thank you for your help." She gave a slight incline of her head in thanks and turned around, making her way to the door of the bar. The sooner she got out of here, the better she would be. Drunk humans were always the worst humans to deal with, though this bar seemed nice enough, she wanted to be sure she had no run-ins.

"You'll need money to buy it, though!" Crane shouted after her, laughing. He wondered if she even had any currency that could be used here. If she didn't know the drinking age, maybe she was from Europe or something. Maybe she didn't ave American dollars. Maybe she didn't even know what money was - that was the thought that amused him. But then again, Crane never needed something to be funny to laugh.
