Voyage beyond the New World

Once every decade, the elder dragons trek across the sea to travel to the land known as the New World in a migration referred to as the Elder Crossing.
Though its existence was known of for a long time, the New World remained unexplored due not only to its distance from the Homeland, but also as a result of the fierce weather surrounding it. However, major advances in seafaring technology have allowed the Research Commission, established by The Guild to land five previous fleets on the New World.
Following the success of the Fifth Fleet, The Guild has chosen to send the Sixth and final fleet in a final effort to understand the Elder Crossing, and the origins of the Elder Dragons.
The New World
The New World is a large, imposing but incredibly diverse place with a wide variety of flora and fauna and stunning environments to explore.
Your Role;
Play as whatever you'd like.
The Guild is comprised of people from all walks of life and there are many professions available to you to further the cause.

Hunter
Endemic Life Researcher
Piscine Researcher
Lynian Researcher
For those uninterested in field work, Astera offers you the chance to aid our researchers with various positions in;
The Resource Center
Provisions Stockpile
The Canteen
The Gathering Hub
The Arena
The Smithy
Did I mention you get your own Palico(cat) companion to aid you in your quest?
The way i'd envision this running is by a quest based system in which, either myself or trusted co GM's will post requests that our hunters and researchers must fulfill, which will range from small low rank missions, through to high ranking for the more seasoned hunter. This means I'm on the look out for like-minded people to help drive the narrative and keep things interesting as it will be our job to ensure that the New World is every bit as exciting as it seems.
Though there will be time for light hearted banter, you must work with other hunters or researchers to trap, study and perhaps even slay the monsters you face in order to adapt and survive and complete the tasks required.
