Information

Once upon a time... ​

The magical words we all grew up with. The stories followed by those words took us on journies into enchanting lands of royalty, true love, fearsome foes and mighty heroes. We followed their adventures, their hardships, happiness and battles page through page until the very end. But what if they weren't just stories? What if they were true and the end wasnt really the end?

No one truly knows when it all started, the tales have been told countless times throughout the years and have changed almost as often. But there is something no one saw coming. The fairy tales have been told so many times the words gained power. Enough power to summon the characters from their world and into ours.

There wasnt any spectacular events, no earth-shattering changes. One day all of a sudden there was a town, small and unnoticeable to the rest of the world. It wasnt the most modern compared to others but it was modern enough not to stand out if strangers happened to somehow find it and take a look around. Its inhabitants just like the town appeared seemingly out of nowhere. This is their story.


More details

This roleplay is about fairytale characters who start living their lives in our world, still relatively hidden from the rest of the world but not impossible to find. Playable characters will be any fairy tale character as well as a limited number of outsiders that happen to stumble into town. At first, the characters have fractured memories and don’t remember everything about their fairytale lives, of course they recall enough to know this isn't their realm.

The personalities, likes and dislikes, sexual orientation etc… can be different from their story selves since the RP takes place years after the story supposedly ended and people do change throughout the years (they were immortal so years didn’t make much of a difference to them) and even the stories can be slightly different since there are many versions of them out there, but please don’t stray too far from the ‘original’. All characters will be human looking even those who in their fairy tale weren’t human, their age (appearance, not actual age) will range from 18 to 26 so the age gaps won't be too big and this is also a time for second chances so villains don't necessarily have to keep being villains.

There is lots of potential for drama, romance, action and more since they are fairy tales. There is even the possibility of trying to prevent history from repeating itself if you want to. Make sure there aren't too many villains trough.

In any case please read the rules before expressing interest just to make sure this is really the RP you are looking for as well as that you are the right ‘candidate’ to join.

In case this seems familiar it was inspired by the tv series Once Upon a Time but you don't need any knowledge of the show in order to join.​

Rules & Other

RULES and EXPECTATIONS

* RPN rules have to be followed!
* The OOC is a drama free zone.
* Keep the OOC questions/conversations out of the CS thread!
* Be able to put at least one good or two normal sized paragraphs together. (No one liners please)
*Don't be afraid to write in some surprise twists or incidents, but please don’t make the RP all about your character, it is a group RP after all. That doesn't mean we cant decide on a way so everyone gets some attention for a while. (like in tv series there are episodes and each episode takes a closer look at a story…) but it's not a must, it's just an option.
*A character has to be accepted before you can start posting in the IC (the CS page will have a list of accepted characters)
*Communication is key, talk to us, share your thoughts and make suggestions so we can turn this into a fun experience for the entire group.
*And the most important rule (besides having fun that is) be sure you are really interested in this before expressing interest or reserving a character. I would rather have a small group of dedicated Rpers then a big group who would let the RP die without a reason.​

CHARACTER RESERVATION

Rules:

* In the beginning, each player can reserve one fairytale character. If spots will still be open you can, of course, make more then one but please wait with your second fairytale character until the interest check is closed.
* Characters from our world don't have to be reserved and each player can have one besides their fairytale character.
* Each of the fairytale characters will have a ‘power’ (which will only work within town boundaries and not outside of it) but don't make it too powerful and it has to fit the character they used to be (more on this in the CS thread and there will be a 'Realistic FC's only' rule)
