Mission: Infernal

I'm still here too. I'm just waiting on character sheets. Please write them up and put the sheet or a link here.
 
Oh, ok, I'll go ahead and revise the sheet that is posted for mine. Probably tonight. I think the backstory is more or less set unless you think anything might need tweaked a bit.
 
Ok, here's my character sheet and concept:


Scourge Sheet: Jak of Napier


Background:


Those who dare ask Jak about his past prior to his arrival in Malfeas pay the price. They get regaled with one crazy story each time, never the same one. It is possible that everything prior, even his Infernal Exaltation, has been forgotten. In any case, the lunatic Scourge of the 42nd layer has made himself known as an assassin and general oddball of the Green Sun Princes.


Of course, the man had a favoring of twisted jokes, and the one about how the Exalted and humanity overthrew the Primordial creators has his fancy. Except following the meaning of the joke led him to decide that it simply was the natural thing for Creation to have rebelled, in his insane logic. Thus, there was no true enjoyable meaning in ruining it like that.


So when White Hands made his offer, Jak had a good chortle and went to work as the creature of darkness that might save the world. Ha ha.
 
almost done with the general idea, I'll post tomorrow I think got no time today to make the character sheet.


The character is a Fiend, a stage magician, circus performer, thaumaturgist, infiltrator, master of sleights of hands and subterfuge.

Hmm.. yeah. Charm wise there isn't much she can get to yet, but I could move some ability dots a bit. Alternately she may not be that great at things when she starts out, but learn them on the fly.. I do want it to still make sense for the background I was thinking of. One shall consider it and tweak a bit perhaps. :)
 
I know I'm a little slow hehe... I have written a background but after finishing it I kinda disliked how it turned out to be, I'll post a quick recap only for now, and rework on it during the week end

Born in a small clan of gypsies and travelling performers in the east, near nexus, trained to be an expert in sleight of hands and stage magics, married when he turned fifteen, he dabbled in studies of dark thaumaturgy in order (at first) to use it in order to protect and help his clan (and the family he loved), he was exiled by his clan after they discovered him, kept away from his family, but he had already attracted too much attention to the group, so his clan was accused of practicing black magics, and they was hunted down and killed. He tried to stop the "authorities" from butchering his innocent people, by revealing that most of the magics was his working but it was too late, before being executed his coadjutor found him and turned him into a green sun prince.

the sheet is not that clear I know (sorry hehe) the +1 does not mean that it is a speciality but just where the bp was spent (to keep the expenditure separated). If there is any free speciality I forgot about that (lol)


(my last exalted character was first edition and I'm not super familiar with the rules)


The extra 3 points come from a flaw (but to be honest I'm not that sure about the rules for merits and flaws too, can I spend points coming from the flaws on everything or just on merits?

BA: That loaded fine now. For both you and Nerdzul I get back home on Monday, and I'll run the numbers then. Nerdzul, regarding the 'eastern languages' you probably want either river tongue or forest tongue. Either have their uses. I'll also double check a mechanic on flaws and merits, but iirc yours should be good.


Coyotekin, you certainly can still build a fiend.
 
I'm waiting for the moment to see if Coyotekin is trying to get in. Mechanics-wise I've gone through yours and Feantari's, and everything looks fine. Nerdzul's is next.

Anyway, onwards. Nerdzul, it took me a bit to make sense of your notation. You seem to have distributed your attribute points in 7/7/4 form. Also, you've got an unspent ability point. I advise athletics, as otherwise you can't swim and that can be a real pisser. Your peripheral essence is 36 before commitments and 29 after. Would someone please double check my math? Sometimes I forget how to count.


As a word of advice, I'd recommend you swap demon summoning for elemental summoning. The second the Yozi's get any idea of how bad you're going to betray them, all hell is going to break loose. Actually no. They'll be pissed because you're NOT letting all hell break loose. But the 'they'll be pissed' part remains. As demons report everything back to their Yozi's, that will be a pretty serious break in secrecy.


Not to say you can't do it, though. You're certainly allowed to, but you'll have to be careful. By the same token, Coyotekin's Fiend is going to have to be careful with his coadjutator.


On the topic of Malichoir, I need a bit of background on why you took the prefect as an enemy, and that which we've discussed relating to the crossbow. Otherwise everything seems fine.
 
The great irony is that the Ebon Dragon would be both disappointed as well as displeased if his Fiends didn't try to one-up him. ;)

lol you are right ;) lol 7/7/4 I totally missed that :P Anyway ;p Yozi magic I think can't summon elementals if I remember well /sad, I'll have to try to be careful, I guess that athletics will be a good choice for my last point.

You think so? I always had him pegged for a 'it's only okay when I do it' kind of guy. Anyway, rock on. I just don't want you to get blindsided from what you thought was a protected angle.


Nerdzul: Right you are. I missed that. That being said, if you think you'll want to summon elementals, let me know and I'll think of something. As is, though, if you want to stick with summoning demons the infernal way, that's fine.


To all and sundry, I'm going to give Coyotekin a couple more days to think of his backstory while I connive up some plot. I wouldn't mind an additional PC, but will otherwise get this party started shortly.
 
k here is the charcter with the changes to stats and abilities (and the bps merged with the ability they improve). I guess I'll have to go with demons, by the way if I remember well 1st circle demons dies when they are destroyed in creation, so later when the hell turn against us I can try to "sacrifice" them during a mission to prevent their reporting (or just be careful of the kind of missions I employ them for).
