Jacob Arkonius Foles
Jacob stuck to the back of the group, not just to cover their tracks, but also to keep an eye on the rest of his comrades so he could intervene if something went wrong. From what he had seen so far, they all looked like they could handle themselves, but the fact that three of the four of them were still in their teens made Jacob worry about their whole combat experience. However, they were heading to the final leg of their journey, now more than halfway through the mission, he assumed. So there wasn't much longer, and he doubted there would be much of a problem.
As the group continued onwards, they reached the open grasslands, Jacob quickly glanced up at the sun beating down on them, then turned his direction to his exposed arms. He had been wearing a jacket this entire time, though with the sleeves rolled up, mostly so he could avoid being followed as he had made his way to the prison by hiding his identity, but that wasn't the only reason. Sure enough, his pale skin was starting to turn a light pink, the beginning of a sunburn. If there was one thing that always had Jacob nervous, it was the sun. After he had been cured of his childhood illness, he had found that he was more susceptible to the sun, and burned rather easily. And over the years, it had only gotten worse.
He rolled his sleeves down up to his wrists, and then flipped the hood of the jacket up to protect his face with the shade it cast on him. He then paused as the rest of the group did from Royce's complaints, and Jacob took a moment to mutter a quick spell under his breath. A light blue magic circle appeared in the center of his chest, it being about the size of an apple. Once it appeared, Jacob felt cool mist swirl around underneath his clothes, keeping his body cool in case he got too warm. He closed his eyes and let out a content sigh as the thin layer of mist moved around his body.
When he opened them again, he saw Viridian's cart for Royce. Jacob frowned, slightly wanting to make Royce continue walking, but that would be rather inhumane for a group of Guild mages to do to a prisoner. So, Jacob bit his tongue as Viridian told him to get in, almost wanting to let out a small chuckle at the dry reply. As this all went on, Sylvia and Bill seemed to be getting along, and Maki seemed to be rather reserved. So far, no problems. Jacob looked out to the expanse of grass, just barely seeing the desert beyond, and spoke quietly to himself. "Just a little more..."
