Miraculous University is a somewhat prestigious college located just outside a bustling city called Decatur. This college teaches students from all across the globe across various different majors and degrees in a nice neighborhood made suitable for its varied environment. However, this university has a secret. Somewhere within the campus lies a set of jewels known as the Miraculous. Usually, these jewels are given to superheroes that are trained within the campus to be ready to protect the world from extraordinary threats. But, one of the Miraculous has been stolen, and has been used to cause chaos on the campus! As a new Miraculous holder, it is your mission to find this culprit and take them down while maintaining the guise of a normal college student. All the while, you may find out more about yourself and others around you among your time here. Will you become a famous hero? Or would you rather shirk your new responsibilities to climb to the top of the school? Will you find your certain somebody along the way?​

CS: You are allowed 2 characters at first, and up to 4 characters if this rp does not get very busy (5 or less players). This does not include kwamis. You are also limited to one main canon character and one minor canon character for now.

Name: Preferably their full name, plus any nicknames they may have or insist on using.
Age: Most students that enter this university are at least 18. Please make sure you explain in your character's bio if you pick an age lower than this, at the least.
Appearance: Either an image or description will work fine.
Gender: Male, Female, Neither, Both, etc. This will influence dorm placing, especially for ocs.
Homeland: You don't need to be more specific than your given country here unless you want to.
Intended Major: The rp is still based off the idea of a college, at least. May influence some of your classes. If you pick a canon character and are unsure what to put here, PM me for some ideas.

Miraculous form
*This section can be skipped if your character is not a Miraculous User or won't be for a long time.​

Superhero Name: Most are named around the animal of the hero
Jewel: Describe what their miraculous is/looks like.
Costume: Describe your hero's costume. I don't recommend using a picture here unless you draw it yourself.
Persona Changes: Any change in how the person acts and behaves while a superhero. Changes can be subtle or extreme, as long as they still make sense.
Kwami Name: Most canon kwami names are short and have to do with either the power given or the animal theme of the miraculous.
Kwami Personality: Does not need to be as detailed as your hero character. Most act as guides of sorts, though some are better than others.
Superpower: Most miraculous users have superhuman athleticism (but not purely strength) and a single, specific power. Some heroes also have smaller abilities that goes with their theme that other heroes may not have. Powers that are obviously OP or greatly restrict the actions of others will be turned down. If a power does end up breaking the game or are used in a way that restricts any form of progress from anyone else the character in question may be removed.
Tool: Most of the tools aren't exactly traditional weapons and have non-combat uses, but I may allow tools that don't quite meet these standards if they fit in with the rest of the character.

Canon Character Reservations: Canon characters are allowed, however, since this is an AU, changes in their character should be noted in the sheet. Yes, you still have to make a sheet for a canon character, though for most sections you can probably get away with just putting "same as canon". For the sake of this rp, most of the canon characters do not know each other in this rp if they would not have known each other before the events of the show.

Literal meme-machine, runs off them bants. Always up for a giggle and gets along with people really well, BUT, has trouble latching on to people's emotions and can take things a bit too far however, still has that innate sense of justice. Covers up their inner turmoils with their smiles due to their reluctance to confront emotions. Seeks out logic and practicality to give them stability in life.they're dying inside

Bio​

Kassiopeia never knew her mother because she left when Kass was two years old. Being African American was hard enough on its own, but when you're a black single dad, it's so much worse. Zeke Ferraro worked two jobs and still struggled to pay the bills and feed his daughter, nevermind himself. 3 years in and Zeke knew he couldn't keep this up, he cared greatly for his daughter and he had been refused benefits several times. He had to stop. As a result, Kassiopeia was put into social care, however, her dad visited her everyday and helped around the 'Orphanage' as much as possible. Zeke had relieved the pressure on his life and this allowed him to excel at his main job.
Kass excelled at math, science and technology based subjects, with the support of her father, friends and care-workers, she won many science competitions through the school and online technology based competitions. Her grades remained high, even when she found Tumblr and memes took over her life. When she was 12, her dad had managed to find a stable management position at his company while still taking time out of his day to come and see Kass, this resulted in Zeke living in a nice apartment and the stable income allowed to take back custody of Kass and they could live together again. As time passed and the time came to graduate high school, Kass managed to become enrolled at Miraculous University and had to say goodbye to all her considered family members as she left to pursue a major in computer science. She has promised her dad that she will call him everyday over Skype, because it's the least she can do after what he's done and been through for her.

Appearance​

Kassiopeia has dark skin and hazel/ chocolate brown eyes. She is average height at 5'6" (170cm) and has a slim body figure she works hard to maintain. Her hair is naturally wavy and black, she likes to leave it as it is. Normally she wears a light, natural covering of make-up as she only really bothered with it in the last few years. She takes good care of herself and likes to keep clean. Kass likes to wear pastel yellows, pinks and blues as a staple in her everyday outfit and likes being casual. Her favourite things to wear in summer are denim shorts and pastel blouses, off the shoulder tops or T-shirts, occasionally she will wear a skirt or a dress. In Winter, big, fashionable overcoats, dark skinny jeans and T-shirts with jumpers.

She wears the standard mask, in which like the rest of her costume changes colour from blue to green with a change in lighting. Her hair becomes a fraction lighter and the tips fade from brown into a light blue which complements the main colour of the outfit. A small crown of the same blue colour appears on her head. As for the outfit itself, it is much like Ladybug's in that it's a bodysuit but has that shimmering colour design, however there is a slight collar around the neck, with a fan of peacock tail feathers stemming from the small of her back which descend to just above her ankles. These feathers can stand on end and fan out from time to time and can be used as a makeshift parachute, they also help with gliding between rooftops. At the top of these tail feathers is a smaller, rounder set which are comprised of a metal material, this is the hand fan which she used to fight with. The brooch rests at the center of the collar where a tie would be.

Persona Changes​

Kass become more open and less of a meme. She becomes serious and instead of making passing remarks, she takes everyone's lives and problems equally. The peacock represents integrity, leading her to be more open, honest and caring. As ..., Kass tries to embody a bright beacon of hope in the hearts of everyone who sees her.

Kwami Personality​

Duusu is calm and honest, however, this often leads them to say things which are thought of as rude and mean. They try to be polite, but their observations of the truth and what they believe can lead others to think differently. Their favorite food is honeycomb.

Power​

NAME WIP - The hand fan releases a burst of light which momentarily stuns anyone who sees it. To victims, it looks like a grand spread of rainbow peacock feathers, and captures them in momentary awe until it disappears after about 30 seconds.

  Personality: If there's anything that can describe Julia, it's the word hyperactive. She never seems to lose the grin on her face nor does she seem to run out of energy. She's friendly and easy to talk to and rarely holds a grudge, even if she may seem like it. Forgiving is rather easy to her, but forgetting is very hard. She has the courage to step up for herself and her friends but she's courageous to the point of recklessness. She hits the point when her friends get hurt and she will do everything so that her friends could be happy. Though, of course, she doesn't do it just for any friend. She holds a special place in her heart for really close friends, but she does make a point to befriend everyone as much as possible. She is very open about herself and there isn't much that can bring her down. Her outgoing personality opens up many opportunities for friends.
  
  She has her heart set on actually becoming a martial artist with a PhD for Veterinary Med. She seems to not like abiding by the rules very much and often does reckless things for fun. She seems to be lonely most of the time, which causes her to go and make friends in hopes of filling the gap her parents left. If she only had one wish, she'd probably spend it on wishing that her parents would finally acknowledge her. She doesn't acknowledge it but she's competitive and hates it when she loses, especially when it comes to grades. She just walks off with a smile but inside, she's rather flustered about why she didn't score higher. This all stems from the goal she had subconsciously placed in herself to strive for the skies to impress her parents.

  Background: Julia never grew up with her parents. Well, they were there but they weren't at the same time. They would often ignore the young Julia to tend to their work. After she had been born, they worked tirelessly to make sure that she lives a good life. They didn't once think that Julia needed love from them, not material things. They grew more and more distant until Julia only just saw them in passing. Her memory of them would have probably faded if not for the many portraits in their house. She had maids attend to her but she never felt satisfied. So she surrounded herself with friends to take her mind of off things. She has even taken up Mixed Martial Arts to spend time away from the lonely house and more with people she feels comfortable with.
  
  Aside from the tremendous amount of money she had, she lived a relatively normal life. Going to a private school and trying to hide the wealth she possesses as much as she can, she made friends easily. Her grades were average but she excelled in Sciences and, of course, Physical Education. She kept moving around because of her parents' jobs and always entering new schools. She never seems to be alone though. She just continues to make more and more friends. When it became apparent that they would be moving to Decatur, she was pretty disheartened. A new country? But she quickly bounced back and excitedly went there. She was enrolled in Miraculous University and she looks forward to how the school year goes.

  Jewel: It looks like a jade crystal with intricate designs on it. It is placed on a bracelet.
  
  Costume: Much like the others, one can akin her costume to mostly tights of green and black. It covers her full body aside from her head. Her face is covered by the usual mask that is covered green. Her hair also freely falls down her body. It often gives off a calming aura. She is able to hook the parasol onto her back but she mostly holds on to it.
  
  Persona Changes: Upon transforming into Gui Ren, Julia practically turns into a whole completely different person. While the will to protect others is still strong, she is much calmer and thinks about her next steps carefully. In battles, she tends to protect the other holders. She does get impulses to fight and would often use her knowledge of Martial Arts to fight. After all, the Turtle is a symbol of tranquility and wisdom which she needs to embody by being calm and level-headed.
  
  Superpower: Once every transformation, the Gui Ren is able to create a near indestructible barrier around him. It would look like a transparent green force field. Though similar to the parasol, this can defend from all directions. It is also said that the Turtle Miraculous allows the user to live a very long life.
  
  Tool: It is a simple green and white Chinese Parasol that is patterned like that of a turtle's shell. It seems to mostly be located on her back. While it serves some form of offense when creatively used, it is mostly used for defense. The Parasol is able to withstand great forces, just like the shell of the turtle.

PERSONALITY​

An optimist through and through. Hua always tries to see the bright side of life and smiles at everyone they meet, handing out kind gestures like there's no tomorrow. Family is a staple for them and they are a typical social bee, creating friends wherever there go. Sometimes, however, they can come off as a bit too much, especially to people who like to keep to themselves. Hua holds a special passion for art and beautiful things (including people), but even they know to ask before taking pictures because they find taking pictures of people without permission is extremely creepy. Hua is confident about themselves and gives off a sense of belonging and purpose no matter where they go, this is linked into their fear that no-one will truly accept them for 'what they are'.

BACKGROUND​

Hua was born in China while his parents were on a business trip for an international company's launch for a new product in the country where they had to help set up advertising for the product. This resulted in Hua gaining a Chinese citizenship, however, a few months after their birth, the product was launched and the small family could return to their home in the capital of Iceland.
In their early years, Hua grew up at a standard rate for most babies. Living with their mother, father and grandmother. Icelandic traditions being imposed on them from an early age by their elder family, Chinese included, they often conflicted. The differences between the two halves of the family resulted in Hua often being confused in their early years, but later accepted and embraced both cultures, making peace with all their grandparents.
At school Hua was an average student in terms of grades, but flourished in art, especially when finding particularly beautiful pieces to try and draw or paint. Their parents saw their talent and after discussing it, decided to nurture Hua's apparent ability for art by buying them art resources and paying for them to have art lessons. Hua's bubbly personality also allowed them to get along with many of their classmates and they had a lot of friends.
While school got harder, Hua dropped their art lessons to a less frequent basis so that they could spend more time keeping up with their harder subjects because even though their parents were ok with them enjoying their creativity, it was a silent understanding that 'normal' academic subjects were more important. As people around them changed, Hua followed on their own path of self-discovery. Learning that in-fact, all their former thoughts had been real. Coming out to their parents was hard, but necessary. At first, their parents were sceptic, especially Hua's dad. However, eventually, they sympathised with their child and payed for Hua to have their required surgery. This, of course, caused a lot of mixing feelings for a lot of people. Hua's Chinese family stopped speaking to them for months as well as Brynja, their grandmother in Iceland, not to mention Hua's classmates.For many people, they simply adjusted to the transition and realised that it didn't matter, however, for most of Hua's Chinese family members, this was not the case and still don't speak to them to this day. At first it hurt, but Hua has become used to it, carrying on in life as if nothing was different.
As school went on, Hua realised that they had no future in mainstream academics such as science or math, so they took a different approach with the help of their parents. Hua returned their attention back on art and more so abstract art sculptures and photography. After an art exhibition put together by the school and a local museum, many colleges and universities took notice of the talent of the students' work, Hua included. This led Hua to apply and become admitted to Miraculous University, to which they have been attending for 3 years and are now in their last year of study. (Having had a gap year to globe-trot and gain experience from talented artists)

Bonus:
Hua met and gained their miraculous in their second year of study when taking pictures in a nearby sculpture park.

MIRACULOUS BASICS​

Miraculous animal: Snow Leopard
Superhero name: Xuebao (Sh-way-bow <as in bowing to someone>)
Jewel: A small, cloudy white oval gem with black spots around the edges, set into a silver ring
Costume: a bodysuit that slightly resembles Chat noir's, but not quite. That is pure white around the stomach, chest and front of the neck areas that fades into a cream for the rest of the suit and starting from the sides of the body, black spots start and cover the back area. Big snow boots following a similar pattern are worn and gloves, where the nails have been extended into black claws. Around the hips is a heavy, thick belt which resembles the pattern of a snow leopard's tail, the belt also drops down like a tail would and grows in size as it does. Around the neck is a hood with cream, black spotted fur at the edge. A typical domino mask is adorned on the eyes, white at the edges and fades into gray as it reached the center, but can change at the touch to become goggle-like, they also have an inbuilt headset for long-range communication. The eyes are also tinted blue, or in Hua's case, intensified. A pair of thick, fabric ears appear on the ruffled hair of the miraculous user which a small and curved, their colors are similar to the mask. The ring, while in miraculous form, sports five black spots, marking the countdown to de-transformation.
Persona changes: Hua becomes quieter as Xue and often more intense. They become more playful when relaxing, however, when fighting, don't communicate and prefer to work alone, Xue is still friendly, but can sometimes be called rude or unfriendly due to their quieter nature.
Powers: Hua's senses are magnified as Xue, especially smell, hearing and eyesight. They even gain night-vision (to a degree). Hua can also last longer in colder temperatures, but is very susceptible to heat.
Their main power is being able to become invisible for as long as they can hold it for, however, the longer they hold their invisibility, the faster their energy drains. (Usually can hold for 2-3 posts)
Tool/ Weapon: Deer Horn Knives, concealed in pockets on the thighs. (For pictures see bottom left and right)

KWAMI​

Name:Anjing
Appearance: Cat like, mostly white and grey with black spots.
Personality: Silent and doesn't speak much, but friendly. Anjing can catch onto emotions and situations quickly, but even so, rarely intervenes unless necessary or beneficial to them. They like helping Hua with their artwork and often help with their inspiration. Unfortunately, since being inducted into the 21st century, Anjing has taken a great liking to the technology and the internet. Spending a lot of their time watching shows on Netflix and on Tumblr. They have their own blog and multiple side-blogs (Hua wasn't too happy at first but has learned to live with it because it advertises their work).

OTHER​

Both Hua and Anjing are trilingual, speaking Icelandic, Mandarin Chinese and English. Depending on where they are depends which languages they speak to each other in.
Anjing's favorite food is venison. Hua's is Hangikjöt (a type of smoked meat)

Personality:
Melissa isn't really the type to give her all. She's not quite lazy, but she's almost there. It's less that she doesn't want to work but more that she doesn't have any motivation. Some of the only exceptions are archaeology and history (Indiana Jones is at least partially to thank for that). Usually she just floats through life, phoning things in when she can even if she has the ability to do them well, which she probably would if she bothered to apply herself to things. Part of the reason Melissa does this is because she's scared of failure and of being a failure. "You can't fail if you don't try", she tells herself.
As it is, Melissa can be very understanding, though she isn't good at expressing her own emotions or helping others deal with their own. She seems distant, but tries to help in her own way by helping with their work or doing what she can for them if they seem too distressed to do things for themselves. While she does like helping others, she feels like it gives her a bit of purpose, she's not one to be nice just because she doesn't want to hurt someone's feelings. She can snap at people whether or not it's justified. She can be seen as a bit of a bitch because of this and her distant nature.
Right now, she's just trying to get a good grade in her major and figure out what she's trying to do with the rest of her life.

Bio:
Melissa was a prodigy as a child, skilled in almost anything she tried her hand at. Seeing her skill, her family planned out her whole life for her. She was praised for being naturally talented but as she got older she became less so. Scared of becoming a failure even if she did try, Melissa gave up. Her family became concerned with her falling grades and got her some tutors, but none of them really helped. Eventually her family became sterner, setting ultimatums for her so she would have to try in school. With her hobbies and friendships in danger, Melissa did the minimum she had to to comply.
After she graduated from her high school, her parents heard of the Miraculous University. They assumed it was a great school that might be able to help Melissa with her studies. They let her chose her own major and she chose archaeology, having been obsessed with it since she saw Indiana Jones when she was little. By the time she started to attend Miraculous, she wasn't deluded that it would be like it was in the films but she was still incredibly interested. She agreed just to get her parents off her back, though even she had to admit that the school looked impressive. With an opportunity to do what she wants now, Melissa intends to do well if she can.
Other:
She's bilingual, speaking both versions of Spanish (Latin and Catalan) and English.
Though she knows it's incredibly inaccurate, Melissa adores the Indiana Jones movies and craves adventure like in them.

Adrien is charismatic, shy, and slightly naive when it comes to the way the world works. He's a bit of a sheltered rich boy, but not the type to be mean. He likes to have fun but due to his strict upbringing is more serious than he'd like to be. He also constantly worries about any social faux pas he's made and likes making new friends. Adrien also has a habit of hiding if things upset him but is likely to act impulsively if emotional. He finds it easier to express himself to close friends and, due to his strict and slightly isolated upbringing, he gets attached to people easily.
Adrien is also friendly, encouraging, and kind to everyone. He's unlikely to act mean even if someone's annoying him or making him uncomfortable unless he's standing up for someone else. This is useful to him as he's prone to getting annoyed with some people but feels bad when he hurts people's feelings. He's also incredibly loyal and would never willingly betray someone he's close to.
Adrien's hobbies have trained him to be precise and strong. He has several hobbies, most solo but some team sports. He's slightly competitive, in both sports and video games, but overall just wants to have a good time. He came to Miraculous University to try and find himself away from his father's company.

Since he was little, the biggest influence on Adrien's life has been his parents. They were both very loving and there for him, though Adrien lived a slightly isolated life. He's been home schooled for his entire life, only really meeting people his own age when at modelling competitions or when around the city. After his mother died when he was fifteen, his father became withdrawn even more. This left Adrien basically alone aside from some staff that was meant to look after him.
Adrien convinced his father to let him attend Miraculous University to become better at socialising with people on his own and get an idea of how the run the company he will undoubtedly be left one day. He also signed up for physics classes without telling his father, wanting to widen his options in life since a management position didn't really excite him that much. He's currently in his second year of studies and is pleased with himself, having made a handful of friends.

Chat has a black ring with a green paw on it. The toe pads disappear as he runs out of energy and the ring is plain and silver in his civilian form.

Cat Noir wears a textured black skin-tight catsuit with metal details. He wears matching gloves that have claws on the fingertips and boots with a hidden wedge, silver toes, and paw-shaped treads. He has a golden bell on his neck, connected to a zipper on the front of his costume, and a long belt that wraps around his waist and hangs out from the back like a tail. He wears black cat ears and a black mask around his eyes. His eyes become cat-like with green sclerae, dark green irises, and oblong pupils. His hair becomes longer and untamed, covering his normal ears. His ring turns black and gains a bright green paw print on its face.
Persona Changes:
Adrien gets more confident when he changes. He's more open with his emotions, snarkier, and less polite, though not any less kind. He feels freer too.

At his best, Plagg can be described as being carefree and easygoing. At his worst, he is negligent, overindulgent, lazy, and sour. He isn't very helpful and doesn't take situations quite as seriously as he should. He only eats Camembert, and gets distracted by shiny things or things that look like Camembert.
Superpower:
Cat Noir has enhanced skills such as speed, agility, strength, and near-invulnerability. Like a cat, he also has enhanced senses such as hearing, smell, and night vision, and has super stealth. His special power, Cataclysm, allows him to destroy anything that he touches with his ring hand, although it drains his power and reverts him back to Adrien shortly afterwards.
Tool:
Chat Noir fights using a staff. It's a chrome, metal staff that can change length. Chat can use it like a sword, just as a staff, or using it to vault over things among other things.

During his free time, Andrew loves creating stories, it helps keep his mind away from his father, His home and his past. Something's he can a little hard on his self, but thankfully Quil is there to help him through tough. This is one of his many weakness, but his biggest one is being an "outcast"

Bio: Andrew was born and raised abit in londan, being the only son of a rich couple. Three days after his birth, His mother had passed away from an rare illness. After his mother's death, Andrew's father became extremely bitter and really strict towards him when he was little older. Although Andrew wanted to do things like normal kids. His father did not allow him, instead he was forced to attend many lessons and was home schooled

When Andrew was 10, his father had found a better job in Paris, so they moved there soon. After they moved, Andrew's life started to go down hill even more. Since he was lonely, Andrew had gain a passion for writing, creative writing and would write stories with out his father since he thought I was a waste of time.

Andrew had gotten his miraculous one late night after he finished coming from the hot spring that's in their back yard. He found the strange box sitting by a push and a letter that said. "You dont have to be alone anymore" Andrew was confused, but took the single feathered necklace with an empty charm. This where he meet his Kwami , Quil. The two of them became extremely close and Andrew had used his new found powers for the wrong reasons.

Now, Andrew finally manged to convinced his father to letting him to college. He wasn't focused on making friends or anything, thanks to his father he thought having them wasn't worth it. Anyway, one day after school, Andrew came across one of hawkmoth's akuma [ it follwed the darkness that came from his heart ]. Andrew followed the akumas, where he saw a flock of them joined together, forming a head of some sort [Think of the last episode]

Hawkmoth knew alot about Andrew and offered him a deal. If he was to help him get the Ladybug and black cat Miraculous, He would make sure that Andrew would find ture happiness. Andrew didn't know what he meant, but if helping this stranger would change his life. ..He was in. Thus, the partnership between had started

On her face is a red mask with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design. The bands holding her hair back become red ribbons, in a way, resembling a ladybug's wings.

Personality Changes:
As Ladybug, she retains many of her alter ego's characteristics, but she is much stronger and her confidence, cleverness, and bravery are more prominent. Her quick-thinking, resourcefulness, and wit are more obvious, especially when she is figuring out how to utilize her Lucky Charm. As Ladybug, she strives to rescue everyone, including those who are akumatized.

Superpowers/Abilities:
Ladybug has much more enhanced skills, such as speed, agility, and strength. Her superpower, Lucky Charm, helps her by summoning a random object that she uses to achieve her objective, often being to stop a villain. However, it drains her power and reverts her back to Marinette shortly afterward, so she has to use it wisely. Once the villain is dealt with, Ladybug can throw her Lucky Charm object into the air and use the Miraculous Ladybug, which will make it revert back to energy and fix all of the damage done since the villain was created.

Weapon:
When wielding her yo-yo, she uses it as a grappling hook, a rope to restrain others, a projectile, and if she spins fast enough, even a shield. After an evil akuma is released from its corrupted object, she can open her yo-yo and throw it to grab it, remove the energy that Hawk Moth charged it with, and release it as a normal butterfly.

Tikki is calm and collected while being optimistic, loving, kind, and encouraging. With lot of wisdom, Tikki is very open to giving advice, and she will call people out for bad decisions if necessary. Although she can become annoyed or exasperated with others, she doesn't stay upset at them for long, only wanting what's best for them and those around them.​
