Luxury Hotline
aesthetic
Note: Plot is based on the Hotline Miami games but I'm pissed off at the ending so here I am.
Backstory:
Honolulu, Hawaii. October 30th, 1985
After a long-fought, difficult battle, U.S troops reclaim Hawaii from opposing Russian forces in a turning point of the Russo-American war. Although the troops are sent home, the battle is far from over...
San Francisco, California. April 3rd, 1986
The final blow dealt during the war is an atomic blast that obliterates San Francisco, an area, along with Miami, which has a high veteran population. Fearing further casualties, the U.S government signs a peace treaty with the USSR. The Russo-American Coalition effectively ends the war, yet tensions are still high as the American people are still emotionally wounded from the destruction of San Francisco.
Miami, Florida. December 28th 1989
The situation only seems to be getting worse. The death toll is in the hundreds at this point, and detectives have little to no leads as to who exactly is behind the murders of several members of the Russian mafia and high-profile political figures. Descriptions range from 'psychotic crazed killers' to 'organized hitmen' to 'masked vigilantes'.
But what nobody knows is that if something isn't done, and soon, this can escalate to something far, far worse...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Plot:
So this RP is going to involve detectives attempting to solve a months-long case involving the mass murders of the Russian mafia based in Miami. And well... What comes after is a mystery!
You also have the choice of RPing one of the aforementioned killers, who are working for a shady organization leaving the locations of Russian mafia hot spots on their phone's answering machines. They may have signed up for the thrill, to get revenge, or perhaps they were coerced into doing as they asked one way or another. But one thing in common between all of them is that they have no idea who is leaving the calls.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Other Fun Stuff:
- Post length will be at least 3 good sentences long. This is so the person you're RPing with has something to go off of and move the plot forward.
- Realistic/picture refs only. No cartoon/anime stuff for the sake of consistency and immersion.
- After this has gained enough interest, I'll drop the link of the thread here along with a character sheet.
