Chapter 1: Schoolyard Smackdown
August 30th. Semester 1. DAY 0.
Monday morning must have begun with an air of lethargy. Wherever they were- if it was an airport or a detention center. The bus was well airconditioned, the AC unit loudly whirring over any form of talking in the bus. The air that circulated around, despite being nice and cold had a sizeable amount of people inside and had a constant smell of must and mold. It was a normal sized bus and therefore not very crowded. It looked like all the Juniors had been packed onto the same bus with all the other years being in another bus. The outside was that of a normal school bus- the mustard yellow outside, the blackened windows, the white top, the unusually short walk up to the seats, and the stop sign behind the vehicle. It had a California driver's license, though it drove all the way out to Arizona to pick up students.
The bus driver was an unassuming man. He was tall and lanky with combed over hair that had perhaps too much gel in it. He didn't look like a bus driver, sporting a brown tweed suit which made him look more like a teacher. His defining feature must have been the widened bags under his eyes, perhaps from long nights of driving.
The California scenery was uncannily beautiful, with rolling green hills interspersed with farmland and city, the roads going through cut-aways in mountains, landscape slightly marred as a result of the Meta-Human Wars of years past. Of course, the bus driver intended that the students slept during the journey. He himself was equipped with a quirk cancelation device that could be used in case of an emergency, though he hoped that he did not have to use it. After all, with his quirk, Caffeine, allowing him to stay up for continuous hours, using such a device was also detrimental to himself.
The bus stopped to pick up students and sometimes to rest so that its guests could get food- under close supervision of the bus driver- of course. Each stop took about ten minutes, though it would be quite some time before it finally reached its destination...

The school bus has arrived! Describe your character's circumstance, his/her thoughts and feelings leading up to entering the bus and upon entering the bus. Describe his/her summer, whether it was spent with friends or rotting at a detention center. If your character had to be flown in, describe the plane ride- maybe he/she met another students during the plane ride over? Then once on the bus, be sure that your character interacts with the other students. It doesn't have to be much; just say hi in the awkward way any high school kid would.
