Mercanaries (Arubion Sivart)

The elf man threw the assassin's body to the ground. He then looked at Neimi with a worried expression. "..I'm sorry Neimi, I had no idea someone wanted all of you gone.... I can't begin to guess who, but come with me. We owed Ven big time for something he did for us... least we can do is keep his prodigies safe for him eh?" The elf then stopped, and looked at Arubion, still on the ground. "Can you wake him up? Can he walk yet?" Neimi shurgged, then started to shake Arubion. "Hey! Arubion! Wake up!"

Arubion would barely open his eyes he'd then look at her smile and fall back to sleep. The tension from what has happened has put a great deal of strain on his mind.

The elf man sighed. "Guess not." He bent down and picked Arubion up, carefully hoisting the boy over his shoulder. "Come on, Neimi. I know a place you both can rest. You look like you're about to collapse, too." Neimi nodded slightly, and began to follow the elf man. He led her to the medicine tent, and carefully laid Arubion down. He explained the situation to the medicine woman, who nodded, smiled towards Neimi and gestured her to lay down in another one of the beds. Neimi quickly fell asleep. The elven archer left the tent, to report to Calor, the tribe Leader.

Neimi woke with a start. She dreamt of seeing Ven and gromm's dead boies again,,,, After recovering from this, which took a while, she noticed the elf man enter the tent. Accompanying him was someone neimi didn't expect... Calor himself. A tall, blonde elven man with chiseled features, and piercing green eyes. The two saw that Arubion was still asleep, and remained silent, sitting down. They thought it was only fair for him to be awake for their discussion.. he was caught up in this mess as much as Neimi was, after all.

Arubion dream was vivid.. It was about a plot of tyranny.. In it he dreams of a bloody moon above the city he awakes in a jolt..

Calor, noticing Arubion's wakefulness stood up, approaching Arubion and Neimi. "Bad dream? Can't say I blame you after all that's happened to you two... The name is Calor. I lead this tribe. Ven and Gromm were good friends of mine, saved my life several times over. I was one of you, once... but we elves live a long time, and so I grew tired of the mercenary life, wanted a legacy all my own. I suppose this little ragtag group could be called that. Regardless, I offer my condolences for what happened to your guildmates. Ven spoke very highly of you two last we met, so I'm going to do all I can to ensure your survival. Long story short, I can think of only one person who has the resources to spend on several assassins and a powerful Lamia on killing your little band of mercs, and would gladly splurge on whatever else he can get till you're all dead... Lord Nassus. yes, lord Nassus of Stockholm, before you ask... this situation is dire. He has the power and money to send an army after you if he gets desperate enough... and if you two keep dispatching his forces so well, he will get desperate enough. But like I said, I owe Ven many times over. You two could really make something of yourselves if you live through this, and if I have my way, you will."

Neimi stayed silent for a few moments after calor was done talking, before looking up at him with a worried expressionn. "I appreciate the help, sir, but... won't us being here put you in danger? The only reason you've been able to live peacefully is because Lord Nassus doesn't know about you..." Calor sighed, and sat on the bed next to Neimi, stroking her hair, hoping to comfort her. "Yes, it's true I may be endangering my people, but here's the way I think of it: you two survived a Lamia and 3 trained assassins, and that's more than I can say about two veterans who've been through more battles then you've have lived years. That says something about you two as warriors. If you travel with us for a while, and help defend us, it would benefit everyone involved, i'm sure." Niemi looked down in thought for a qwhile, before meekly nodding."Thank you..."

Neimi looks at Arubion and smiles, seeing that he looks okay. She still felt like she needed to make sure, though. "Hey, Arubion... do you feel okay?"

Neimi shook her head, still smiling. "Nope, I'm alright..."

Calor then stands up. "Well, I'm sure you two have some catching up to do, but we need to figure out where you're going to stay, and the infimrary isn't a great place for that. I also need to go around and introduce you to our guards so they know to expect you two around. Come with me."

Calor leads Arubion and Neimi through the settlement, explaining the situation to every armor-clad elf he comes across, asking them to spread the word to the other guards. He finally reaches a small tent towards the edge of town. "Here we go," He says as he opens the flap to the tent. "The family that lived here moved out due to how precariously far from the main grouping of tents it was placed, due to thge many dangers of this forest. Not to worry, I have instructed several of my guards to patrol this area far more frequently. I'd give you a safer place if it existed, but this is the only tent with two free beds in the vicinity, and you're going to need the rest.

He paused for a moment, with a slightly apologetic look on his face. "I feel rather guilty saying this after all you two have been through today, but I must ask something rather taxing of you... The main reason we as a community have thrived is because we have so far been able to dispatch all the major threats a wandering people would encounter in these forests... however, given who I'm certain has marked your heads, we're going to have to move much farther then we're used to to lower the threat of Nassus' forces. We were planning on this for a while, but this is just the nudge we need to move outside of the relative comfort of these forests. Of course I will not force you to fight for us, but as I said earlier adding two decidedly skilled young warriors to our forces will benefit us all. As far as i'm concerned, you are both full-fledged members of our community, and so will be paid just as my other guards forces are. Again, I cannot force you if you both believe you aren't up to it." He glanced back and forth between Neimi and Arubion.

Arubion would move his hand through his hair and look At Castor Halfway through the motion... "It might not be the best for me to stay... But Neimi should stay..."

Neimi looked towards aAubion worriedly, tilting her head with a bit of curiosity mixed in. "Wh-why?! Where else would you go? Remember, if I hadn't been there when you got shot earlier you'd be dead! I'm not going to let you go out there all by yourself!"

He'd look at her... "The reason why they were able to follow was cause of me... My Demonic energy made it possible for them to come Even if I did suppress it with Talisman... It wont do anything... They got something that can see through it..."

Calor sighed. "Honestly, I suspected something like that would be the only way for 3 assassins to track you down so well.... this does change things... it's your decision, but if you leave this place, there is very little chance of you surviving... you may be a Demon, but Ven spoke very highly of you last we met... that man has a good sense for people. You're meant for far greater things then to sacrifice yourself for Neimi's sake.... and I don''t think you want that, do you Neimi?" Neimi shook her head. Calor sighed. 'I'll leave you two alone to discuss this." He promptly left.

Neimi watched him leave, then sighed. "It isn't your fault even if you led them to us... you didn't do it on purpose. I couldn't forgive myself if I just let you go off on your own when they have a way to track you down... and if you leave anyway, I'll follow you... I'm not going to let another one of my comrades die..."

Arubion would notice her Sorrowful gaze... "Neimi... There are things about me that Ven Hid from everyone.... Don't consider me all that helpless...." He looked away to avoid her gaze cause it would make him sad...

Neimi sighed. "I don't consider you helpless! you did kill that Lamia after all... but no matter how strong you are, you're my friend, and I'm not going to let you go off on your own. Please, Arubion... Calor is willing to let you stay, and I want you to..."

He'd look down and sigh.... "I guess I will have to bring up my past.... The truth is when i was younger Ven was ordered to kill me.... Its cause I am one of the 5 Demon Lords... Even at a young age... I overpowered the other demons.. Thus gaining support to be called the 5th demon lord... It was a bloody period of time... Sorry...."

Neimi walked up to him ansd put her hand on his shoulder. "Arubion... I didn't know... b-but I don't care! Even if you killed a bunch of other demons it doesn't change the fact you were almost killed by a mere human!"

Neimi curiously glanced at him, head tilted to one side. "The weapon... that dart was made of some sort of anti-demon material!? I guess that would explain it... b-but you still nearly died... that's why I don't want to let you go...." she looked at him sadly again.
