Thindro was guided to a house towards the way the group came into town with Xander being on guard for the hands, moving back towards the in with Thindro and the family in tow.

Lyn flew next to Adelaide as she followed Maya who was rather aggressive in trying to draw the attention of the hands, despite there was no sign of them.

Ranni quickly returned to helping Dru with the barrier after returning with her group of people. “Alright, are you ready Dru? We have to be outside before activating this” she replied

Xander looked around the barely lit street in front of the inn before looking skyward as it started to rain. “It’s rather strange we haven’t seen any movement from these hands, anything to report girls?” He asked before Felicia and Flora emerged from a nearby shadow “nothing my lord, it seems they might be waiting for the right moment, we get the feeling that we are being watched” they stated

Xander nodded and looked towards the sky again gazing at the crescent moon above them “I don’t like this…” he started to say before the group outside heard the sound of smashed wood and creaking and scraping metal. “Everyone stay on guard!” He shouted trying to find where the noise came from.

No one had the forethought to look at where they had left the carriage and horses when they arrived, for the carriage had been smashed and Dru’s horses were bent and twisted into shapes that didn’t resemble horses anymore.

“Are you two done in there yet? We need to hurry and get these people protected!” Xander shouted inside to Dru and Ranni

Dru muttered to himself as he felt the connection with his horses break as well as the barrier "note to self, stronger barrier in the future." Once the hands were revealed they began to swarm around the group attempting to grab them, while everyone had to fend off their fair share, most went after Dru, even employing herding tactics to try and get him away from the others

Once the hands were revealed they began to swarm around the group attempting to grab them, while everyone had to fend off their fair share, most went after Dru, even employing herding tactics to try and get him away from the others

"Oh come on now!" Dru said as he did his best not to be headed away from the group by pulling out his pistol and filling it with a sickly green energy that glowed in the glass container that functioned like a clip for his gun and began to fire corrosive energy bullets that would corrode the metal though it was fairly slow as it spread causing him to pull out a blade that glowed with a Lazer edge that he used to slice part of the hands trying to keep them back.

Maya sees the hands and her eyes widen. "Whoa......there are so many of them...." She sees some of the hands approaching her and she starts running. She jumps over one hand and then she slides under another. Narrowly, she avoids getting crushed by a third hand before the first one reaches for her again. She clings onto the first hand, releasing her grip and falling when a fourth hand tries to sandwich her. The princess takes out her knives and goes on the offensive, stabbing at the hands. "Alright, metal monsters! Take that! And that! And some of that too!"

After finally being caught and knocked unconscious by the lack of oxygen high in the sky, Maya wakes up, finding herself in unfamiliar territory. "Ngh.....what....where am I?" Her eyes notice the cage that she's trapped in. She reaches and grabs a hold of it. "Is this....a cage? Am I...a princess....trapped in a cage like some prisoner of war?" She clearly wasn't used to this. It was one thing when she would get sent to her room as a punishment. This was far worse than that. No comfy bed. No nice window view. She grabs the cage with both hands, trying to shake it open. Unfortunately, due to her lack of physical strength, her efforts are in vain. "Hey! Let us out of here! A cage is no place for a princess, dammit!"
