Dabbler in the Dark Arts
In the late 21st century humanity saw a rise in technological advancement, new forms of energy were discovered, great distances could be crossed in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, this boom in advancement lead to arms races as every nation on the planet rushed to become the strongest military force of the new age, and as such stories usually go it leads them on a path of ruin. It hardly matters who fired the first shot, the result was the same, and humanity was brought to its knees with only a hundredth of the population surviving. The weapons had changed the face of the Earth irrevocably as entire continents fell into the ocean and new ones rose from the sheer force of the weapons used.
In the five-thousand years since then, much has changed and all knowledge of the world as it used to be has faded into memory and what's left of humanity as congregated into cities spread out across the world, fearing the dangerous fauna that has developed. Every city no matter how big, or small, or advanced has one thing in common however, every city has a mech.
Mech's are towering feats of engineering designed for the sole purpose of protecting their cities, built from old world remnants and blueprints. Of course, smaller scale piloted constructs exist to aid in this process, but Mech suits are the crown jewel of every city, and their pilot is hailed as a hero. This isn't a story about these people. This is a story of those people who don't fit into their cities, people who wish to impart vengeance on those who wronged them, people who would burn their home to the ground and rebuild something great in its place. This is a story about the antiheroes, outcasts, and villains.

Hello, wonderful people reading this!
The basic idea of this RP is to take the idea of a group of friends coming together to save the world and turning it on its head by instead having a ground of villains come together, begrudgingly, to accomplish their plans... with mechs. Because mechs are cool. Setting wise, imagine something like Gurren Lagann, or God Eater if that makes sense. Of course, it's all open to change and I am 100% up for world-building and plotting with you.
Now for some boring stuff about me:
-I'm a 23-year-old male
-I like to think I'm funny which naturally means I'm not.
-I have no issues using RPN or Discord for the RP and OOC.
-I generally write between 3-6 paragraphs on average (but that can fluctuate depending on what's happening at the time), though I do value quality over quantity.
-I like romance and am happy for it to be in the RP, just not as the main focus, mainly more so as something that naturally happens to character chemistry. I tend to lean towards prefering MxM, however in general i am happy to do any gender pairing.
-Ghost friendly. Though I'd prefer it if you gave me a warning in advance before disappearing back into the digital aether.
-I have a bit of a fluctuating schedule on account of work and the many joys of multiple mental illnesses, nothing serious but it can effect my motivation at times so there are periods where replies might be sparse. I’ll always try to let you know ahead of time if I’m gonna disappear for long periods though.
-I enjoy long walks on the beach. :3
-That was a lie, I'm basically a vampire so hate being outside xD
As for what I want from you:
-You MUST be 18+ (This is non-negotiable).
-Be up for playing at least 2 characters at some point, this would be your villain and their heroic counterpart. Though it would be awesome to get some more heroes/villains further down the line.
-Adhere to the RPN rules (though that's obvious).
-Occasional OOC discussions would be nice because friendship is magic (or so I hear) but it’s by no means compulsory.
-General communication if you’re gonna be a long time replying, I promise I’m very patient and will always understand!
-And perhaps most importantly, don't be an ass, because I won't put up with it. I know you probably aren't but it never hurts to specify :3
