@White Masquerade[/URL] because he doesn't like when I pull people off to the side for questioning. It got bloody a couple times and he doesn't let me do it anymore.
I'll put it this way: depending on what definition you're using, your mileage may vary. I've heard about six different definitions for the same MBTI personality type. The system is so convoluted that it isn't actually that useful on its own. If you're looking for accuracy, it's better to look into the Big Five and Enneagram systems.

But by stereotypical pop-culture MBTI (the kind of definitions that appear first on Google), I'm absolutely an INTP with a touch of ENTP-like enthusiasm. I'll avoid clogging this thread up with my rambling though.

Hahaha, how ironic. It looks like INTJ's are ruling the internet. Although INTJ was supposed to be the rarest personality type, it is the most common on the internet.

Well, took 4 different MBTI personality test and I got the same results. INTJ. Pretty accurate.

Actually, the poll only shows that it's the most common among those who voted; it definitely isn't representative of the entire internet.

INTJs are actually one of the most common types on the internet. And It isn't INTJs that are the rarest, it's INFJs. INTJs are fairly rare, but INFJs are only 1% of the population.

Hm, fascinating; I suppose, then, that introverts would be more inclined to use the Internet, regardless of the other 3 letters?

Yes, It's a lot easier to communicate, I'm a very talkative and friendly person on the internet, but in real life, I'm literally afraid to speak with people.

So yes, the internet could be considered a refuge for introverts

If you're looking for accuracy, enneagram is not the way to go. MBTI is very accurate. There are a few definitions for each type because there are lots of different traits that can't all be covered in one short definition. If you find two definitions for one type that conflict, then one of the sources is wrong

Of course, MBTI (like most other tests on the Internet) should be taken with a pinch of salt; After all, mainstream psychologists tend to reject it because of its tendency to give fluctuating results for some people.

I've found that, while it's mostly accurate, some of the descriptions don't fit me, while other types seem to fit me if I'm in a certain mood.

I read the first three pages and then got bored. What does that say about me? :P

Iven taken a ton of different mbti tests on the internet and the result that came up 90% of the time was INTP. I've done the ennegram a few times and my results have varried without leaning towards a particular... Whatever you call it. Would ennegram count as "personality type"?

But I agree these tests like this aren't wholly accurate- it'd be impossible to have your personality annalysed and figured out completely. So I think stuff like mbti is more like personality " trends".

Plus you gotta look out for descriptions that are just so vague or general enough that the majority of people who read them will say "oh that's me!" and the ones that only list positive traits. Because thats just the Forer effect!

I think mbti is a little more specific than that, though. I've read a few other descriptions for types my friends got, and they certainly didn't match up with me.

Once I have my computer I'll edit this post with the most current results from the ennegram test! Usually those things don't work as well on a tablet/the websites are too much of a pain to navigate for me to try.

That pole is making me have feels. Where's all my specialness gone!? ):

MmmmMm ..... poptarts and personality tests. I wouldn't want to start my day any other way!

Well, it looks like the results of this time on this test are 5w4.... assuming I'm reading the results correctly. 5 was the most likely type, and then 4 next so...

Why couldn't they have just stated outright what the full type was? Now I have to wonder if I read it right! My poor INTP need to be 100% right and double check information wondering if somewhere..... somehow.... I could've missed something....

*dies from heartache*

Reading the description, I'd say most of it is accurate. The least accurate part, is the strong emotions. And! *coughs violently* all the negative aspects, such as the fear of society and the sensitivity.

(Really tho, I'm one of the least emotional and sensitive people I know. Unless, maybe, I'm surrounded by butt-hurt crybabies?)

My dreams and aspirations are to one day be interesting enough for Makise-senpai to pull me aside!

*weeps hopefully*

*throws myself on the ground, grabs your legs* Please! Analyse me and tell me everything that's wonderful and unique about me, I beg you!

(I lied, I didn't edit my post. Because, of course, then you wouldn't all be alerted that I added incredible new information! :3 )

Lol. Too adorable Ghost. I wish I could like your post twice. I have a sneaking suspicion you're something other than INTP, but I'll keep it to myself until later.

Awwww *giggles, wiggles hands in the air* you flatter me!

Really? :) What could possibly make you think that?

I haven't taken the test super recently, but I remember when I last read the descriptions it seemed accurate.

However, I don't really have a great sense of self.

Which makes me wonder about the correlation between MBTI types and mental abnormalities.

"keep it to yourself til later." Do you gotta watch me more? *blinks coyly*

I'll answer any questions thrown at me! I have motivators to be honest in this thread!

Although, parts of my earlier post was a satirical commentary on this thread as a whole.

*nods completely seriously*

also, since i wasn't totally sure about the enneagram, here's a screenshot! i meant to do this earlier, but forgot

*crashes into thread*

goats ur acting like izzy wtf the fuck

SO I take these things with a grain of salt, but they sure are fun and possibly due to recent events in life, I find them very relatable.

Today I got INTP and 5w6, and I say today because I've taken many upon many MBTI whatever acronyms and I feel like it sometimes just depends on the day.

I consistently get introverted and thinking, but I tend to be more balanced in the intuition/sensing and perception/judging department.

So today I read over all the IT types and INTP just seemed very relatable, though I'm not... totally incompetent with emotional situations (but that's only because it's something I've tried on and off to fix).

I guess that I'm good with others (unless I'm actually just another source of emotional distress when I try to comfort people and they would feel bad if they told me that who knooooows), but when it's had to do with how I myself am feeling... ehehehe...

Then when I was trying to take the following Enneagram Test, I had trouble at first, because in certain situations there is a distinct difference between how I feel and how I act.

In the end, I went with how I feel, and reading over the results, I thought it was fitting, so I guess I did it right?

Screenshot because I know you people are ~*~*~ so ~*~*~ interested in knowing the specifics about me.

unless i accidentally loose all my tabs, i think theres never a time i have less than 5.

i get distracted and bored, and end up doing a bunch of things at once. or nothing at all, all at once
.

I WASnt even trying pie! i swear, i was just excited for no reason this morning
(god knows theres no reason to be happy at that time of day) and itS H OW I AM.

actually that makes me think about how i am in person vs online. i think, online, im a lot less weird. in person its like a really weird mix of orion and izzy... but my Mean vs Cute Eccentric meter level changes with who im around and if i need to charm any chicken nugget hoes
;)

*girly squeal*

BFFSIES

(you think you can walk into THis thread aND POST after me before i get to see anything from makise-san? i havent even gotten to hear white's thoughts yet! )

@Ghost

@Pine

All this makes my head hurt, so I'm just going to ask you two, simple questions. I have no strategy or secret techniques. I just do what I do, and don't know how I do it.

So, here. Riddle me this. IF you:

You two are working a criminal case. A lady is dead in her home. Fast forward. After much pain-staking work, your team has a solid theory that Nick Jonas, of the Jonas Brothers, did it. It makes perfect sense. He hated her! He as the only other person with the key to her house! He had to be the only one capable of it! The logic says so!

The case is solved!

No! Wait! Upon finally moving the body from it's initial position, detectives discover a pocket-knife under the woman, that...OMG...has the words Joe Jonas inscribed into them...

What do you two do?

*SIDE GLANCE AT GOATS*

hmmm yes seducing the chicken nugget hoes IS vry important...

That's a little tricky.

With the description of that, the only "evidence" that we really know is the knife thing (because naturally I don't expect you to come up with a totally elaborate scenario detailing everything that happened) so there isn't something to compare that evidence against.

It could be anything from Nick putting the name on there to throw them off to him stealing the knife from Joe to the old lady being a pedophile that stole the knife and happened to land on it or HER wanting a knife with her beloveds name on it etc. etc. so that would, again, depend on the other evidence.

I don't know if it's possible to arrive at a definitive conclusion before you even move the body, but if that WAS the case, I would be annoyed and probably reluctant to start over (it's hard for me to determine how dedicated I would be to a job, since I haven't ever REALLY had one haha).

Either way, theory =/= a solution, so unless there was anything else to examine, anyone else to question, some other theories to come up with involving the knife and other evidence, then I think it would only make sense to bring them both into court/jail/whatever for questioning (because there's still the whole innocent until proven guilty thing anyway).

Did I go in the wrong direction with that?

Was I supposed to include Goats somewhere in the equation?

(because if we meet irl we're gonna' have a throw down of the century because that's what we agreed on and it's destiny)

Haha. You're not supposed to do anything special, just answer. Yeahh, delicious. You do fall under INTP. I always knew this, Pine. It's Ghost I'm really suspicious over. (:3)

In that case...

*hides answer in spoiler* :'D

but how long...

HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN ABOUT THIS ?!

*snatches kin by the cuff of their shirt*

xD . You DO NOT have the right answer. Spoilering it was a good idea! I did it too.

Let's see. For a while, really. Ever since I talked to you about my character for the Madre estéril . Promise not on purpose (' :) ). INTP are just too easy to pick out.

well i took the test while i was coming down from my high, and i got ESTP. i usually get INFP.

my answer is correct anSWER ONLY I CAN BE CORRECT

xD

Don't sweat it.

I had a business management class years ago where we learned about some other classification of personality types (melancholy/phlegmatic/sanguine/choleric) and from there I started guessing at everything people would qualify as until maybe the end of the school year. xD

It's fun to analyze people... but I'm sure you know not to entirely base people off of whatever classification that their personality test has for them, but personalities are complex and heavily situational.

How I act in real life can sometimes contrast dramatically with how I act in real life, so you're only seeing that half of a person.

i guess just be careful with labels

*end mini-ramble and i say ramble instead of rant because no i'm not upset haha*

I'll take our conversations making your head hurt as a compliment. *flutters eyelashes*

in case you ever want to pose this question to anyone else, ill put it under a spoiler

Anyways, first I'll ask who the fuck in forensics did such a shitty job. How could they not have discovered the knife earlier? Although, I'll probably ask in a more pleasant way, and quietly get them fired. Next, if the case was already publicly solved, I might not do anything about it. Re-opening it after having Nick Jonas put in jail could be really bad for the department, and probably my career. I know if that gets discovered, it'll probably be just as bad. But if I think it's unlikely that anyone's going to review the case, that's it. If I think it would be discovered easily, or if the case hasn't already been publicly solved (this is going to be a highly publicized case if it involves the Jonas Brothers), the first thing to do would be to get fingerprints, etc, interrogate Joe. Figure out if this was just something planted by Nick or if Nick just stole Joe's weapon to do it, which it seems like it might be the case. Unfortunately I don't know a ton about police work, so I can't really go into any more detail on something I don't know about. However, we were completely certain it was Nick earlier, and if all the evidence pointed towards him and Joe had no reason to do it and had alibis and stuff...

You didn't even specify what sort of state the pocket knife was in, though. If it obviously hadn't even been used, then the only conclusion to make of that is that obviously this woman and Joe were having an affair!

Also if there was a murder weapon other than the pocketknife (i feel like it would be unlikely that a case would be solved without ever finding the weapon) and the pocketknife didn't have anything to do with the murder and is just a red herring then shame on you for making me put effort into typing all this out!

edit: please go to the next page to see the rest, i wrote more
