The one they warned you about
Miss Morgan patted her head in defeat. She never was any good at lying. Lance could always tell whenever she was having a rough day no matter how much she tried to hide it. "I know it will sweetie, we're all gonna be okay." No one was going to take Lance away. Not truly. She couldn't imagine Lance leaving them forever. Even if he did go with her, he would probably come see often, right? Yeah! She appreciated Mika's attempt to cheer her up. "Here, darling! How about a raincoat! You said you wanted boots, right? Purple and gold always go so well together, I think you'd look adorable in it! Say, why don't we go to the food court afterwards? I'm sure you're starving by now, I know I am!" It wouldn't be Lance's cooking though. The truth was she wanted to go home. She'd rather go home and ask Lance to move back into her apartment, let him fatten her up all he wanted if it meant he stayed. Oh, what was she doing? Thinking about things as though he had already agreed to it! Lance could very well say no, and stay here with them! Yes! Don't lose hope, Cassie, it will take a lot more than that to pry her precious Lancelot from her parental grip!
Lance woke up from his nap feeling dizzy, and very hungry. He went to eat heat his plate up from earlier when he noticed a shadow sitting outside his door. He opened it, curious, to find Asaya sitting there. His heart ached. Asaya... had waited for him? Why had he done that?... did he have nowhere else to go? His limbal rings softened in concern and pity. Lance gently picked the little one up, and thought to take him to his own room, but realized he had no idea which was his. He decided he'd let the little one sleep in his bed instead. Lance heated his plate up and ate it as he sat down on the floor next to the bed, leaning against one of the legs. He sat there and waited, giving Asaya the same respect he had shown him in return.
