"I...Think I'll have some of what she's having then." Yu says, "Cancel the fish." He says, soon turning back to the woman. "Are you sure you can eat them all?" He asks, trying to strike a conversation with the monster like woman.

Kasumi could see that she was more interested in her outfit, which she could understand. It was a bit distracting, which was probably why she changed her clothes when she went into hiding thanks to Muramasa choosing to hide her at the request of Ryu Hayabusa. While she was fixated on her outfit, she looked around and saw others starting to enter and talk with Junko, even the creature she saw when she walked in the hotel.

Junko pulled out a card, asking them if they had gotten one. She shook her head no in response, looking at her. "They didn't give us cards. Do you know where we could get one?" Looking closer at the card, it said something about her being the Ultimate Fashionista, which meant that she had something to do with clothes. Whether it was putting them together, modeling in it, or both, she figured that it must be something she was good at if she was considered to be the Ultimate Fashionista.

She followed Junko, looking at all the doors. It said a team name and underneath the team name, the names of those on the team on the door. When asked if there were any questions, she looked at Junko. "So, the goddesses said earlier that you and your team got here before us, right? Do you know why they brought your team here before us?" Kasumi kept looking around until she spotted the door with her name, the team name, and the names of her two teammates:

Hopefully, her two teammates were on their way over here. Either way, if they weren't, they'd have to come here eventually, sleep was necessary after all.

"This is the first I've seen of it...!" Saber commented as Junko took out a card of some kind, stating how important those are. "Where do we get those?" She asked, but was quickly answered by her stating that it's from Aeon. If she recalls, they were at the Arena.

"Let's get them later." Rise says, as they soon followed Junko into the hallway where there are rooms with labels on them Junko says that those rooms have a list of names where the Fighters are supposed to be staying. After Junko's explanation, Rise thanked Junko. "Thanks!" Rise says, soon turning to Saber. "You go ahead and find Aeon--the one that looks like she only has a scarf on? Yeah, that's her." She nods. "I'll try and contact you guys later once I check where our room is."

"I see." Saber nodded, "But how would you contact me? A Servant only answers to her Master, after all."

"I have my ways." Rise says with a wink. "Well then, see you!" Rise says, as she soon walked along the hallway, trying to find their room. Meanwhile, Saber began to move out, recalling that Aeon is inside the Arena. Saber heads towards it in order to obtain their ID cards.
 
Cal followed Sub-Zero into this hotel while thinking to himself
"That is definitely not his real name".
Upon entering the hotel and seeing the clerk and this other other woman wearing similar blue attire as of his potential new ally Sub-Zero, he decides to remain quiet as they speak and describe these ID cards to them. Cal would follow them down the hallway and finding his room, reading the team name and members
"The Onyx Order? Some Name." He thinks to himself before turning to Sub-Zero. "Looks like we're gonna be bunking down together."

"So like, here are the rooms. Each room has a list pinned to it to show which fighters belong to which teams. Also, it has the team name on which team you'll be apart of. Any questions?"

"Yes, when is this tournament going to begin? Also how long will we be here? I was kind of on my way somewhere important."

Standing in front of the door he reads the sign displaying his team name and two partners, he was already introduced to Cal but this Kasumi was a name unknown to him.

"It would appear so, as well as another contender I am yet unfamiliar with."

Is the response from Bi-Han to Cal's remarks, he turns to face Junko, unfazed by what would seem to be her very pleasurable appearance, looking her blank in the eyes and waiting for her next words. Bi-Han far from trusted this girl but at the moment he didn't feel a threat.

Coming up fruitless, I regretfully turn back to Junko.

"So... they're just letting us in for free...?" I ask. With no receptionist to be found, and our rooms all pre-established, as shown by the doors I follow her to, I start finding this place kind of creepy. Maybe those 'goddesses' created this place just for us. That thought just unnerves me. Being here kind of feels like a trap.

I look at my door, noticing two names, Mr. Red and Azazel, with the team name Twilight Blaze there too. I recognize the first name. It belongs to that stick figure I saw earlier. Azazel, though? Never heard of them. Hopefully it's not one of those killer types... and with a team name like the one we have, I feel like that might be the case.

I glance around again. Man, I am so out of my element here. I simply try to hang back and listen to some more of my music, tuning out the world and de-stressing.

At Red's greeting, Commando perks up. "Thanks! I mean, it's pretty much standard issue-" he cuts off. Is this a 3d-stickman? Just when you thought you'd seen everything...

Regardless, he finds himself agreeing with the red guy. He doesn't really want to eat here - between the shouting worm-girl, the cook's appearance, and Red's report of a funny smell (he'd have to trust him on that, his helmet filtered that stuff out), the restaurant didn't present an appetizing picture. "Yeah, yeah, that's probably a good idea." He turns and follows him out.

Coming up next to the red stick-man, he says, "Hey, what's your name? People call me Commando."

The Mercenary manages to give the impression of a raised eyebrow through his face-concealing helm. "Ah, I see." This armored giant was truly being obtuse - though he supposes it's only practical.

He then follows the man's gaze up toward a young girl with a truly incredible hairstyle. Don't those get stuck in doors? He shakes his head - though no-one can see it, thanks to his helmet.

"Ultimate gambler, eh? Are you competing in a poker tourney? A side event to the gladiatorial combat, perhaps."

"Mr. Red," the stick figure replies simply, sticking out his... stick hand for a handshake. He had felt a little disappointed throwing the only cig he had left away for a restaurant that definitely did not care about cleanliness, but seeing another face cheered him right up. If he had a face, he'd probably be smiling right now. I guess you can just envision this (: on his head. "Cool name. You come from the military?"

As she waited for her question to be answered, she noticed two others come up to the door with her name on it. They were probably her teammates, and looking at them, they seemed like they could be capable fighters.

Then again, anyone in this tournament had to be capable at fighting, it's a tournament for crying out loud.

One of them had a sort of robot with him, looking normal enough. Did he fight hand to hand? With the robot? With a weapon? Only time would tell. The second one dressed like a... a ninja. And in blue too. He didn't look like a Mugen Tenshin clan member, but it put her a bit on edge. She wasn't sure about him, but maybe he wasn't here to hurt her unless she somehow told him that she was a runaway ninja, a nukenin to be technical with it.

All ninja's had to know what one way in case someone ran away from their village and she didn't doubt that he knew it too. Which made this kind of stressful for the poor girl.

Looking at the two, she decided to introduce herself. "You two must be my teammates. My name is Kasumi, I hope we do well in this tournament working together."

She then heard the creature speak and look at him. "It does seem that way. I've never seen anything like you. My name is Kasumi, what's yours?"

The spacer heartily shook Red's... stick? Man, still weird. Anyways, he takes on a retrospective posture at the man's question. "Military? Eh, kind of." He gestures to his suit. "See, I picked this up back when I was part of the Marines' Exploratory Corp. Honestly, I never did much, was basically reserve. They let you keep the suit, though. After that, though, I got hired by the UES - that's United Earth Shipping - as a security guy. Let me tell you, that shit was even more boring than being in the reserves. Well, most of the time. There'd be pirates or thieves every so often, but those types are usually as dumb as a sack of bricks. It's the smugglers you really want to look out for." He waves a hand. "I'm getting sidetracked. Point is, I did that for a while, but I picked up the name when my ship crashed on a xenoplanet. I was stuck on my own in the wild for about a month before I found the rest of the crew, and someone said 'you're like some kinda commando' or something, and it just kinda... stuck."

He comes to a stop outside the idol cafe, resting his hands on his belt. "Welp, now that I've spilled my life story, we're here."

Bi-Han would look at Kasumi, for a moment she almost could have passed as a fellow Lin Kuei if he didn't investigate further. He continues to evaluate Kasumi's appearance, trying to pinpoint any visible strengths or weaknesses in her figure. From his brief and awkwardly silent observation she appeared to be a formidable combatant. He noted her reach and height, as in order to get a better tactical understanding of her potential fighting abilities.

"I am Sub-Zero, and the boy behind me is named Cal. Tell me Kasumi, from what realm do you reside?"

The other blue clad ninja, Sub-Zero as he introduced himself as, seemed to be looking over her. Was it because of her outfit or because he was looking for any weak points? Or both? She wasn't sure on it, but hopefully if he was looking for any weak points, it would be to help her get rid of those weak points.

He asked her what realm she came from and she was a bit confused. So from where he came from, there were other realms? She only had one: Earth. So, being that she was from the only realm that she knew, she simply answered his question. "It's nice to meet you, Sub-Zero and Cal. And I'm from Earth. And yeah, we had to have been brought here for a reason, but... what is that reason, exactly?"

"As it is said - what makes an establishment is its customers," Shirley eyes Rosa during this, "perhaps a more standard restaurant is more up our alleys?"

Her aura of malice that resulted from Rosa disrupting the peace and joy that she and her daughters were sharing began to radiate throughout the area. This aura could fell many men and women, and instilled in it was pure fright that could render all speechless and actionless. It was so strong that even the Commando, who was hanging outside, could feel it.

As all five of the buildings appeared in front of all of the supposed new fighters, The Operator turns his head to Umbra, with which the warframe returns the gaze as they both shrug. Since Umbra is a machine, he really doesn't really need anything.. The Operator however, he starts to think to himself as he looks over at the resturaunt, looking back at Umbra as he nods in return.

Some food and drinks for sustenance would be nice.​

The Warframe reaches over and gives The Operator a gentle pat on the shoulder as they both walk side by side together to the restaurant. Upon entering the resturaunt, the two walk over to a nearby booth, Umbra and The Operator sitting across from each other.

The Operator takes off his glasses as he begins to clean them, Umbra remaining silent as he crossed his arms.

"What do we gotta do for some food around here.."

    She shouted to the group of men as they all thanked her back. The crowd proceeds to go away as they returned to the back area of the cafe. The blue-haired girl kept her smile while she stepped off the platform, taking some glasses of water and noticing Shirley's disapproval at her performance. As an idol, you would want to make your audience happy. Seeing an unhappy woman within the cafe did not settle right with her.

    The schoolgirl asked as she seemed to be slightly bothered by her malice for her performance. It's not assuring to hear or see a person not like what you love to do, especially when it was during a live performance. Then again, everyone had preferences in music. The cheers of the crowd were nice to hear though, it made her feel at home in Tokyo where she performed with her bandmates in front of millions of people that came from all over the world.

    While she was standing in front of Shirley and her daughters, a fish girl wearing an apron walked up to the other patrons of the cafe holding menus. She had a cute appearance and was calming to look at. "So, what would you like?" the fish asked the patrons as Sayaka waited for a response from the mother.

Cooking Mama wasn't too happy with the people that came to her restaurant. All she was asked to do by Venus was to dispose of trash. She didn't expect that she would actually have to cook. And this time, the player that played her was a total scrub in cooking. He still hasn't unlocked other recipes and he keeps failing on cooking Spaghetti and Meatballs, which was literally the first recipe after the tutorial.

"Fine, I'll be serving our single item on the menu."

She proceeded to head back to the kitchen and plate the dishes nicely, returning to their tables as they were presented with plates of Spaghetti and Meatballs. It had a nice aroma to them, in contrast to the depressing interior of the restaurant. Mama also had some lemonade, she poured some glasses and served it to them.

"Just shout if you need anything. I'll be in the kitchen."

Mama returned to the kitchen, hoping that the player will pass the Spaghetti and Meatballs and move on to other recipes.

The Operator practically dropped his glasses as the plates of spaghetti was launched into their direction. Umbra reaches over the booth's table, barely able to catch the star child's glasses from falling into the spaghetti. The Operator makes a sheepish grin, "Whoops, thanks for that buddy." "You don't mind do you?", The Child asks with a shrug, slowly inching his fingers closer and closer to the utensils.

If Umbra had a face, he would definitely be grinning. The Warframe reaches for a napkin as he pushes the glass of lemonade near the Operator's plate, giving him a solid nod as he began to help clean his glasses with the napkin. The slow motion of nodding, was all he needed to see.

With a quick 5 seconds to breathe, The Tenno practically yanks the utensils to him as he dives into the plate of spaghetti, beginning to dig in hungrily as his partner remained silent and calm.

When Hound first fell into the portal, he thought Void was trying to prank. Then he saw the psychedelic wormhole and thought that Mask was pranking him. Next, he thought that this was one of the government’s super secret Ghost teams offing him for dipping his hands in files he shouldn’t be. After about a minute, he figured he was dying, as he saw the light approach quicker and quicker, filling his vision with white, even with his eyes closed.

Waking up, the first thing Hound saw was the woman dressed in some kind of time themed cosplay. Strange, Hound didn’t recall getting blackout drunk at Comic Con...or that there was even Comic Con this time of year. The second woman to come to view didn’t do anything to convince him that he wasn’t at Comic Con.

The two introduced themselves as Aeon, the goddess of Time and Venus Lovelace, the goddess of Reality. The costumes, names, titles, and the extravagant architecture just screamed a convention that was taken to the next level. Not that Hound was complaining. He was always down to check out a con, but he just didn’t have any money, nor did he know how he got here. Well, he knew he came via wormhole, but that was the typical fantasy and sci-fi handwave.

As the seconds passed and the questions from the other costumed convention-goers, the way they acted just seemed off. Not just the two women, it was the others and how fervently expressed their confusion. Now, Hound didn’t have any Spidey Sense, but his gut feeling was that the tournament Aeon and Venus were talking about was a real fight, not just for play. Sure, it was treated as a charity event, but it didn’t look like a LARP event to him.

Well sh!t. Hound could’ve prepared a bit better if he knew he was going to fight other people seriously. He would’ve made some Taser needles or brought bean bag shells for his shotgun. Anything non-lethal, really. It didn’t sit well with Hound that he’d fight for entertainment and take a life in the process. No, it wasn’t just an uneasy feeling, it was a sense of dread. However, Hound had to do what he had to to live. If it was between him and a stranger, he would have to come out on top. He had a family to go back to, and a team that counted on him. No Combat Controller worth his salt would let himself die just because he was in an uncomfortable situation.

The Combat Controller looked around when Aeon mentioned that she’d picked out teams for them already. Who would he be working with? In an ideal world, any two of his teammates would’ve worked. Lazarus and Mask took priority because Laz could control time and because Mask was powerful as sh!t. Hound wondered how Laz would fare against Aeon, with him being the Deity of Time Incarnate and all…

If the two people partnered up with Hound were around, Hound didn’t know it. There was no indication as to who went with who. He would’ve liked it if he could get to know his team as soon as possible and strategize, but for now, he’d just wander until he figured out the roster. The most logical place to go first would be the hotel, since it would be likely that everyone was registered there for the duration of the tournament. He just might be able to acquire some information on the teams.

Entering the hotel, there appeared to be a disturbing lack of employees, but there were plenty of people in eccentric outfits. Hound didn’t pay much attention to them, and just poked around the public areas. While passing by the first hallway, he noticed the doors to the hotel rooms, or rather, what was on the doors. It was a list of three names with a supposed team name. That would be helpful. All Hound had to do was look for his name.

It didn’t take long, seeing as there were only 16 teams total. There was a small amount of amusement when Hound saw that the name listed on his room door was "Jet Hound", rather than his actual name. The two others in the strangely named team "Scarlet Spiders"...were Gwen Stacy and Rosa Diaz. Aside from the fact that the name was real strange, Hound despaired at the idea of sharing a room with two women. That was just...awkward...but he’ll deal with it. Later of course, once he’s found them.

Now, Hound could go around asking everyone their names, but that would be awkward and inefficient. A better plan would be to wait for his teammates to come looking for their room, or for the tournament organizers to force them to find each other. Hopefully the former. As he exited the hotel, he heard a rather loud scream of anger pierce the air. It was pretty close, and it sounded like trouble. Even when he was at a crazy death tournament, he felt the obligation to keep the peace. It’s almost as if that was his job!

With the help of his Jetstream, Hound burst into the cafe in less than a second, ready to apprehend some crazies. There were no crazies...at least, not any that were attacking anyone. All he found was a woman frustrated out of her mind and covering her ears. Might as well figure out what the heck was going on. He walked over, clearing his throat and tapping the woman on the shoulder, "Is everything okay, ma’am?"

Downburst - When tagging in, Hound creates a Jetstream that drags him through the air at a couple hundred miles per hour. Upon entering, he exits the Jetstream and delivers a dropkick into the opponent's chest with his traction cleated boots. The opponent is knocked across the screen and briefly Stunned.

Dart Devil (Locked) - Hound fires a supersonic armor penetrating tungsten dart using a Jetstream straight at a target from his wrists. This attack ignores Blocking, Armor, and Barrier, and when it successfully strikes an opponent it removes the aforementioned Buffs.

Blockbusters
Danger Close Air Support - Radioing in his allies, Hound calls in an F-35B Lightning for close air support. The attack aircraft strafes the battlefield with its GAU-22/A Autocannon, raining down 25mm rounds down on the field without mercy. All targets struck by this strafe receive Heavy Bleeding, including Hound if he get caught in the strafe.

Diamond Dart Storm (Locked) - Switching his ammunition, Hound equips his darts with unstable crystals tips that explode on impact. He fires twelve darts consecutively in the blink of an eye in a shotgun spread pattern. If struck by one of these darts, the target will be Burned and loses all stacks of Armor and Barrier.

Supercell Maelstorm (Locked) - Hound performs a rapid continuous series of Downbursts in rapid succession, dashing in at the opponent from every direction in a blur of speed. Each time he passes his opponent, he delivers a tornado roundhouse kick while in midair to both change his direction and strike the opponent. Brain Power

A wander left unsupervised, the Frightfur Tiger would somehow end up 'not' at the gym, but at the library instead - though he frankly had no idea how. He simply shrugs it off and would quickly go and explore the shelves - his eyes would probably meet book after book along those shelves, and boy did he figure it was best to use them! Reaching up and grabbing a book or two, the weaponized soft toy would intend to make an attempt at reading the books - assuming he didn't just damage them even a little bit, for it'd be in his best interest to know what this place is and all sorts that happens in it! "This world poses so many questions, ones I hope that have answers... Perhaps some of them are within these pages." He muttered to himself as he would intend to open the first book if he had in fact managed to grab one.

To Yu's surprise, the woman that waited them was actually the cook herself. She seemed to be slightly upset for some reason, stating that they only have one item in their menu that they can serve. Pondering whatever that meal was, Yu was left a bit stunned in seeing that the item they were referring to...Was Spaghetti and Meatballs, accompanied by a glass of lemonade. That explains the stains on her apron.

This isn't exactly what Yu had in mind for Breakfast, but heck, it's food. Let's hope it doesn't taste bad.

Tasting the food, it's clear that the taste...Was a bit good. Not great, not bad, it's simply...Good. It's like a place in mediocrity that's every chef has been stuck on in most of their life.

Yu has gained some understanding of the Chef's situation.

He began to eat with grace, spinning a small cylinder around the fork and slurping the noodles before chewing them. As he chewed, he picked up a napkin and observed a bit, seeing who else is inside.

As the table was cleft in twain, the Mercenary shifted. Not a flinch or hasty jump, more a simple straightening of the back and tensing of the shoulders.

". . .You see," he says, tone measured, "Someone with the title of 'Gambler' isn't one you'd expect to find in a combat tournament. Though I can tell," he gestures to the splintered table, "You have plenty of destructive capability."

  • TODAY WAS JUST ANOTHER GOOD DAY IN KASSANDRA'S BOOKS.​


    Being a renowned misthios (mercenary) paid off really well. Being a renowned misthios who was supposedly a demigoddess (which was true) and had the blessing of Zeus' Eagle (not true, though she was sure Ikaros would have loved to be something like that) paid off even better. Get hired to kill a few Spartans here, sink a fleet of Athenian ships there, participate as a war hero in a Conquest Battle, rinse and repeat. Perhaps she'd kill a troublesome mercenary that had a bounty put on her, or kill a quartet of mercenaries that were tracking her, but otherwise she had been benefitting from the Peloponnesian War. Just business, as always; it wasn't like she was trying to massacre people, and she always made sure she killed for a reason. If she was attacked, she'd kill them out of self-defense. Otherwise, people who faced her blade usually stood between her and fulfilling her promise as a mercenary to always finish what she started.

    Today wasn't any different. By now the sun was setting, finishing off her day of completed bounty contracts. This time around, she'd been more peaceful: A woman hired her to deliver some goods her husband in the army, and she'd paid a beggar some money simply because he posted a "contract" on the mercenary board. Was it dumb? Yeah. Did she mind? No, since she had her unbreakable misthios' oath. Plus, she was practically swimming in drachmae; what was a few dozen to her when compared to a beggar? Being a mercenary didn't mean she lost her heart of gold; there was a reason why she separated business from her moral compass.

    After her two contracts, she'd headed to her home in Achaia. She'd had one thing on her mind all day, and she needed to get it out of the way then and there. The moment she came back to her old house, she made a beeline for her personal chest, opened its entire contents, and brought it all up to the roof of her home before laying it around herself. She didn't even bother looking at them until she'd finally sit back down on the ledge overlooking her town beneath her. She only thought once about the memories she'd made at home, before her mind wandered back off to her otherworldly friends. Where were they now? Back at their worlds? Had their lives changed as much as Kassandra's had? She knew Aloy had been recruited by that "Multiversal Protection Foundation", that much was obvious when that envoy had boldly approached her. Gods, she'd even considered contacting him just to see if she could change her pace up in Greece. He'd mentioned he sometimes came around here, and said something about horse racing or fishing. So far the device he'd given her hadn't done anything suspicious at all; not that she minded.

    Her mind wandered back away from the MPF and her role as a "member" back to her friends from Blood Gulch, nearly all of whom she'd grown close to thanks to their bonds forged in the fires of battles. The four of them had become a force to be reckoned with, thanks to their synchronization. For a bunch of misfits, they'd made a good team, and Kassandra suspected that as a team they could probably demolish a small Conquest army. At this point, she knew she had to open up her bag; that was what she was here for, after all. To relive memories, think about her past, maybe finally make a decision on when to see her allies.

    The first set of items that Kassandra re-examined was Aloy's arrows. Kassandra had examined them over and over for their characteristics- Some Ice-tipped, some Lightning-related, others exploding just like hers, and a few others she couldn't even figure out besides for a set that looked like upgraded arrows not unlike her Death arrows. She'd tried them out with her own bow (in live combat), and was surprised at their effectiveness. From there, Kassandra had reverse engineered the arrows, using elements of her era to form arrows similar to Aloy's.

    Aloy the Nora. That redhead was one of the best archers Kassandra'd seen, and the arrows certainly had helped a lot. The former had offered for the Spartan to join her in her world sometime, and Kass said that she'd "find a way" to reunite themselves. Since Aloy had joined the MPF according to that "Arthur", her statement could be fulfilled with that device Arthur gave her. She just had to decide when.

    The next keepsake was a dark scarf, presented by one Captain John Price. For someone who had looked so ordinary besides his attire, Price had a deadly shot; futuristic "guns" certainly had helped his case. Not to mention his cunning; the man was the one who'd taught the entire team how to fire his era's guns, and had become a pseudo-leader of the group. The scarf was a reminder of Price's attire, and the fact that all of them individually looked "like a badass". And just like Kassandra had said, "We can all qualify ourselves as badasses".

    Corvo Attano, the royal assassin and stealth expert of the group, was no exception. Teleporting back and forth was something Kassandra wasn't familiar with, but Corvo certainly knew his way around that power. The man had the ability to disappear and reappear with that teleport and was a marksman with a futuristic semi-automatic bow. He hadn't left a single trace to remember himself by- Which, she supposed, was par for the course for an assassin- but memories were good enough.

    Kassandra hadn't heard anything from the two men after the quartet had parted ways; they probably weren't in the MPF, or else they would've been mentioned. That, and they both sounded equally tired of the shenanigans from Blood Gulch. No doubt they wouldn't be as keen to jump portals as the two adventurous ladies were. Still; maybe she'd find a way to contact them at The Cape- at least, that's what she thought Arthur called it. But now came the million-dollar question: Did she wish to brave that "Cape" place? Perhaps see if she could get back to Aloy and even the other Blue team allies?

    She brushed this thought aside before glancing over to one last important reward from Blood Gulch- a set of armor. Not just any armor, though; the "Hephaistos" Combat Suit. The Director himself had granted her access to it after she asked- the only person to inquire for a reward from the misfortunes- and it had been totally worth it. Just like the "Meta" who wielded a suit just like hers, she was nigh-unstoppable due to the combination of the futuristic technology and her demigoddess-like nature. But above all, when utilizing it, she always reminded herself that she could never become too power-hungry, lest she turned into a monster just like the suit-wearer before her. She'd only worn it in dire times, where she absolutely needed it as a last resort, and this was only in Atlantis- where people could give less of a damn about what you looked like- and when she had pursued the last of the Order of the Ancients in bloodthirsty retaliation. But what about now?

    If Kassandra was going to the Cape, she might as well dress her best, right?​

    Within moments, Kassandra had suited up in her armor, covered from her feet all the way up to her neck. All that was left was the helmet. She held it in her hands, looking down upon it as she stared at its visor. The setting sun seemed to captivate her for a few moments, staring at it through the reflection on her protective gear's golden visor. Finallly, she flipped the helmet over and put it upon her head.

    As the Ancient Greek equipped the helmet, the visor sparked to life like it did when she put it on in preparation for Atlantis and her ruthless final assault on the Order of the Ancients. Various elements greeted her, such as her Radar Tracker, Hardlight Shield, and Adaptive Camouflage. All the while, Kassandra felt... something strange. A sensation that something was very wrong. Like she would be consumed by the Hephaestus suit with bloodlust and vengeance. That- if she wasn't careful- she could potentially destroy her world.

    Her heart seemed to recognize this, as it began to thud in her ears. At first, it was a soft yet noticeable noise in the back of her head. But it quickly grew louder and louder. Like the Meta was reaching through her suit, trying to possess her rather than the deceased Agent Maine. Her breaths grew faster and faster, despite her heartbeat retaining its rhythm. Her fists tightened, readying herself for a fight.

    What in the name of the gods is going on?!?! She'd never had any sensation like this. Was it a panic attack?!?! Was simply thinking about Maine enough to make her a monster like him? Or was it the fact that she had killed dozens of people as a misthios, and she'd finally snapped? She'd heard of people in her world going deranged from guilt, turning into bloodthirsty psychopaths that ended up like the Followers of Ares; she couldn't becoming one of them, too, could she?

    Breathe, Kassandra. Calm down.

    "KILL THEM ALL!"

    As the thudding of her heart seemed to grow to a peak and Sigma's rage-filled voice echoed through her head, the next fateful portal to another dimension opened up form underneath her, finally stopping her terrifying premonition short and dropping her directly into her trip to her next area.

"Well, it's more like an accident that we got here. However, I'd rather not say it. It's like, a really bad incident."

Junko said as she looked to her room that was near some other team's room, 'Team Mayonaka'. It had some red marker at the side in a very small size, it was another team mate, '+ Saber of Red'. If she were to be honest, it sucked that she was a part of this whole multiverse tournament thing. The blonde got near and held Kasumi's hand as she proceeded to ask her a question.

"Kasumi, do you think I look like a slut?"

The sudden question filled the air with some tension between them, but Junko didn't mind it.

"If I were to be honest, I could never pull off such a nice dress like that. And honestly, it's like, so hard to be a model for magazines and predicting fashion trends. All of it is like, just a big pile of things that I don't want. Then again, I do have everything that I want in my world."

She realized that she had been ranting to a complete stranger. Junko stopped and sighed.

"Shit, I didn't expect to rant on like that. Sorry, my mouth can just drop some things that are more of a 'me' problem rather than a good conversational topic."

There was a taller girl that shoved them aside and searched for her name on the doors, quite rude after having a moment with Kasumi. Junko noticed that something was up and she had to step in. Besides, she was already friends with the lobby guy. He seemed cute.

"If you're gonna fight, do it outside. Don't get us involved in whatever shit you have with him."

Suddenly, the man from the lobby stared at the two. He didn't say a word, but it was clear that he was unhappy towards Kassandra. "If you intend to start a fight here, I'll have to put a stop to your plans," the lobby man said while adjusting his glasses. "Besides, the tournament starts tomorrow. Itching to start?" he taunted Kassandra as he returned to the desk in the hotel lobby.

Osiris didn't find much interest in the rows of books. It was all very mundane, and hardly the arcane knowledge he was seeking. Then again, hardly anything really came close to the Hive Books of Sorrow. Those he found quite enlightening. Yet, as he idly scanned through the books, he kept his eyes open, and his ears, too. Being aware of one's surroundings was a basic skill every Guardian should have. There was a commotion behind him, a teenager in a Gothic dress and ridiculously curled hair introducing herself as the 'Ultimate Gambler' in an accent that was obviously fake.

"Ultimate Gambler? Pffft," Sagira scoffed, rolling her single eye. "Does she think that this is a late night poker tournament at the Tower lounge or something?"

"Perhaps not," Said Osiris, slamming the book shut and placing it back on the shelf. "All those here are clearly meant to fight in this tournament."

"Yeah, but she's a child," The Ghost said, glancing over to Celeste. "Why would the Vex want to know the abilities of a human child?"

"I'm afraid that I have no answer to that," Osiris sighed, turning around and making his way over to the gambler. His robes seemed to flow as he walked, and the light glinted off his golden armour. He reached the group and folded his arms, raising a brow at the broken table. "You remind me of an... acquaintance of mine. A gambler, always betting on things and holding a certain Ace of Spades."
