[QUOTE="Destructus Kloud]Oddly enough, I always wear long sleeve clothing whenever I can as well! :D I honestly hate short sleeve clothing and shorts. :P
Also, HYPE, it's out! XDXDXD

I also kind of hate short sleeves. Now it is a bit more difficult since I burnt my arm and it itches but England is so. Damned. Cold. Even if the thermometer claims otherwise.

Okay maybe the scars may have to do something with the disdain for short sleeves but it is mainly because of the temperature...

Ok, post's all tidied up and finished. The former may be a bit too loosely expressed.

I think I dragged it on for too long of a duration...

Damn it.

Since most of the party (my party anyways) seems to be headed to Ithaca, I'll start Peter off in that direction. I assume he'll want to go to Canada and travel to one of the more remote towns to see if there are still people alive he can join up with. So he'll probably turn up the Hudson and navigate towards Albany. The easiest way to do this would be for there to be some obstruction where the Hudson meets the Mohawk River, so he diverges down the Mohawk, into Lake Oneida, down the Erie Canal, and finally landing in Seneca Falls and walk or drive in the wrong direction. It would probably be a trip of a day or two, I could imagine.

@ I do hope this won't turn out like the other; every sign points to this hope not being entirely foolish. I prefer detailed and sensible RPs. :)
What foolish RP was this?

Ours is going quite well so far! Fingers crossed!

@Surantum Same. It was a shame it ended so early. I was having fun too.
was it a zombie RP? and how'd it die? also, welcome my friend

I hope people get more radios. I'm thinking it'll be key here, at least, it will be for my character. ;-; #AloneInASkyscraper

It was "Do not die". Sadly it didn't took its own advice. For me, when I consistently don't understand a section is a big turnoff. I can comprehend everything here so far so I might make some offerings to the language gods. I quite enjoy this one, too. Making Chie's post now :)

Well, Louis has most parts, but no working ones. Let's hope that Pete actually has one. Or the others. :)

Well if Arkus can get his working, I'll make him find like a telescope or something and he might be able to help you out if you get in trouble. Could make for an interesting play, despite us not even being within a kilometre of each other. :P

I can envision him making some kind of Rube Goldberg machine in fact. And I suppose Arkus knows Morse, so it might be a way to communicate... :)

I had envisioned him with cameras and speakers set up everywhere so he can guide everyone, but somehow I feel the GM wont let me do that just yet... xD Maybe later on if we ever get a compound. :P

Sure, he knows Morse and several other languages, but if the radio is fixed, which it would have to be to even do Morse code, can't they just talk normally?

Oh my goodness. That was some major foreshadowing from the very beginning. Was it post-apocalyptic like this one?

@Surantum You think I'm gonna be making smoke signals from the top of a skyscraper? xD They'll hit space before you see 'em!

And just turn the radio down if it's loud. xP Tbh I guess I'm hoping to catch Peter on the radio with his routine checks or something. I don't know if I'm quite ready for Arkus to physically meet someone yet. :3

@Shireling

@Destructus Kloud Uhm. Never played with mirror/reflective surfaces and sunlight before? It can be projected to crazy distances, we were once showed from a helicopter how well visible is the signal. And you can make flashes by moving the mirror, drawing dots and lines.

@Surantum

Well yeah, I guess. But that requires light obviously, so unless you want to shine a torch at your mirror the whole time, the day is when we would communicate. Plus it could attract Switchers or other less friendly survivors to us. Plus it's just damn easier using a radio. xD

Whatever, I guess I'll figure out something in my next post. I haven't even got the necessary tools for any of that yet. :P

It has a sad tendency to be quite useless in daylight. Regardless, I gave it a 40 percent chance if Louis saw it. Rolled higher, so he was inside or occupied when it went up.

Well excuse me for not realising we're in a dice rp with percentages, or not. :P

Although I'd argue that it would be easily visible, even during daylight. Plus there's the sound, but I guess it'd be too far away for anyone to hear it on 51st floor.

Also, where is Chie exactly, out of curiosity?

If I cannot decide on something by myself I usually roll. Sue me.

I'm quite sure that most flares I have seen would be only visible from nearby since it wouldn't go up so high, in darker environment, and not for long. Of course it could be some kind of superflare which could be shot up to extreme heights, we are in an alternate USA and our equipment was never exactly stellar...

I was thinking of Chie being near to the Astoria, but since I'm not sure about the streets there I didn't pinpoint it. He was taken from the Weill Cornell burn ward and left in an unspecified building on the Vernon. He kept changing locations, moving quite randomly to avoid switchers.

I shall sue you. I want my flare back and you will pay for it. xD

Well I am at the top of a skyscraper, so I don't think height is the problem here. I can shoot another flare if you weren't looking the first time I suppose, but whatever. I suppose we could have modified equipment, like my taser or the generator.

Oh okay, that's cool I guess. :3

I will pay restitution of course. Looking over the flare guns they use in luckier countries I am quite sure the noise would be the more attention grabbing, considering the buildings around, if we are out in open air; it would reverberate and throw around the sound even if the light wasn't seen. Sorry, don't really have skyscrapers at home, and the training field was kind of out of the town, so I wasn't considering this angle. Guilty as charged.

Can I have like a quick idea where my team members are? I just woke up.
