Hello spacepanda ThatGuyWithSouvlaki Marsis and welcome to the HQ! Here we shall have Discussions on Ideas, plan out arcs and much, much more. Also feel free to chat OOC as well obviously and/or share role ideas, tell us about side characters to use alongside your main (If you desire Side OC’s and if you think you can handle it) That way we won’t need to post entire CS’s for characters that may not appear as often in the CS and put extra work in. As long as we know who they are and have enough info to get by as they develop or get used as the players decision, then I think we can avoid all the extra CS’s for non main characters.

Don't know how that would fit in so much since they would mostly be on the ship, so I need to brainstorm other ideas for the main crew. Unless they also had another role, I JUST DON'T KNOW! AHHHHH

CS thread edited & finished. IC I’ll wait a bit before adding that to the created threads list. Going to return to my research with a little more singular focus now with those done.

A medic is always useful and could add a nice role to the crew. If you want to give them a extra role you can, my idea to offer would have just added to the ship confinement lol, so never mind that idea of mine spacepanda

Lol don’t forget pilot, mechanic anything aboard the ship really. Absolutely no ground clearance for you haha.

Which reminds me… Any ship ideas folks? I recall last time going with a bigger ship due to lack of options i could find for a mass effect rp. We don’t need to add a Ship pic or go too much into detail but thought I would throw it out there. We could always pull Biowares move and rebrand the Normandy with a new look and name. Haha

Right now I'm thinking about going with a Turian guy or gal, getting a few ideas but nothing too fleshed out already, and still not sure about the exact role in the crew.

Also, sorry in advances for the mistakes I might do and the dumb questions I might ask, I'm still not very used to RpNation!

Right now I'm thinking about going with a Turian guy or gal, getting a few ideas but nothing too fleshed out already, and still not sure about the exact role in the crew.

Also, sorry in advances for the mistakes I might do and the dumb questions I might ask, I'm still not very used to RpNation!

No worries! We all have been there and a time or two through the years and various versions of RPN we’ve had in our time.

Just awoke from a MASSIVE nap, but I think I got the personality of my character down: Young male Quarian still on his Pilgrimage with a bit of social anxiety... or maybe just anxiety in general. This kinda makes him more of a shoot first ask questions later kinda guy lol Maybe he only got invited to join the crew as a favor, or perhaps an absurd amount of credits? Dunno.

I'm diving into the wiki right now since it has been years since I've played Mass Effect and I've forgotten so much, gah! I see we already have two characters with some technical prowess, would it be too much to have his class be Engineer?

I’m doing the same lol, wikia is my second window while editing my CS slowly. I have kinda played the legendary edition but not too much yet to remember a whole lot.

But no that’s fine. My guy only knows a little that specific to his suits needs of proper operation and smoother combat functions that help offset his Volus limitations. Plus basics that most people would know. Nothing expert level for him.

Coincidentally just finished my guys personality section with a summary of him when I saw this notification lol.

I couldn’t wait and had some money available to pre order it as soon as I was able. One of the few times I’ve pre-ordered a game, they actually added a tiny bit more to the character creation side in terms of some hair options and colors, possibly a few other minor adds in the customization side, based off what I recall from the original release.

Low key Austin Powers, Isidore & the guy from Madagascar were influences with my Volus character.

Edit: I’m overdue for a fun, reckless party man that dances and does karaoke haha. I think my Isi was my last time with such a character so almost going back to my roots as a rper

I’ll likely improve and edit that backstory overtime. Brains gone tired and energy to research starting to fade with some info I’ve struggled to find so far. Haven’t found hints to Volus lifespans and I know much can be done to the backstory once I draw more energy from some sleep. But a brief cluttered glimpse is there for now.

You got me on my own search now, but all I can find is an old reddit thread from about 6 years ago that speculates this: "Volus 85, via dialogue (on Illium?) regarding their lifespans similar to Quarians due to environmental suits (memory, may be false)" but nothing else concrete!

Edit: Got a small WIP posted in characters... only filled out the easy bits for now.

Thanks. That’s more then I could find and I looked at two different Reddit threads in my google search since the wikia so far hasn’t mentioned too much on the Volus yet. Some races I thought referenced lifespans and and few other minor details but maybe that’s only some of the more popular, well known races. I’ll use that for now and go with mid to late thirties for Tak. I did see in the 1st Reddit thread people really getting after the OP for seemingly only caring about a select few races…. It was almost entertaining.

(I should really get back to playing my Xbox more so I could continue playing through ME. I can’t remember that dialogue in the game although I can’t remember a lot things from ME.)

Should be interesting to see, Talis is going to have a rough go talking strategy with Tak, probably will test her patience on a variety of levels (probably a test everyone on the crew will have). Metro will have his hands full as second in command to Tak and all that comes with trying to keep things running smoothly. While I have a feeling Vel’Zuura is going to be rather uncomfortable with how Tak operates and wants to party alot.
