Bianca looked thoughtful, "I could try... I've never had to drain power from an object before... But I guess it's worth a shot." She forced a smile and jumped, when suddenly Agent Rand and Blood knight were teleported in front of them. "Holy shit!!--" her hands flew up, her knives poised to attack, but she soon realized they were of no threat and she relaxed slightly.

"Uh what now?" Bianca watched Kenshin, unsure what she should do besides wait for him to catch her an enchanted knife, seemingly rendering her useless without powers. Suddenly she wasn't sure who was in charge anymore ... Kenshin or Agent Rand? This was confusing... Bianca casually scratched her forehead with the handle of the knife, and wrinkled her nose in concentration.

Coal was about to answer Bianca when Rand and another showed up. He shifted his eyes in their direction not sure what to expect out of Rand and the new comer. It was strange in all kinds of ways. When Vision placed Kenshin in charge of the group.... was it because Rand was preoccupied, or did something happen to him? He looked fine at this point. Coal shifted his attention back to the safe as he knew to focus on the mission. Elise was protecting him while he got the safe so he could focus.... But how could he with Rand back in action and this other.... Guest?

Coal bit his lip a bit as he knew the safe was starting to get closer. The ground would shake a bit and if he got this right the structure of the building would not fall. He could sense the metal in all the floors and the support beams... As long as he stayed clear away from those.....

Coal got to his feet and kept his hands out facing the floor. A few more seconds.......

Liam was startled as he was teleported. The Beast clearly had lacked mercy, having thrown him into another man. He feared the impact he would soon receive but was instead teleported to some place else, where the others were. The actual mission. He'd landed on the floor in front of Bianca and Coal, turning his head up to face them.

"Shit..." He whispered as he got up, clearly beaten and bruised. Liam took a quick moment to evaluate the area, before turning to the two once more. "What the hell is going on?" He asked, his voice stern and serious in spite of the circumstances he'd endured. "And where are the others?" As he spoke, his bruises began fading, his skin glowing as his chi augmented his healing.

( Liam and Bianca have wonderful language XD)
"...whoa..." Bianca watched Liam in amazement, getting distracted for a moment. why is everybody else's powers so cool? ;;' She thought, quietly fangirling inside.

She snapped out of her trance and looked at Liam in confusion, "what do you mean, they're right here...?" Bianca jumped, and dodged another shutdown and let out an exasperated groan. She hated just dodging, but still wasn't sure that'd she be able to catch one of those weird enchanted shurkiken things.

"Who said anything about object? You're draining a whole ninja which I asked if you take knowledge too." Kenshin yelled as one of the Hand ninja charged him. Their saords clashed in mid air, his tachyons infused sword and his foe's enchanted blade. There was a constant red flash from coming from the blades and that was the tachyons in their high speed and high energy movement. He ninja swiped at him with a kunai and Kenshin jumped back, then he slashed through the Ninja's mid section. He grabbed him and tossed him all the way down the hall near Bianca, the ninja did bleed all over the place and over anyone in his flight path.

Kenshin began to notice the low rumbling of the safe coming up below the floors. The shaking didn't deter the enemy so he kept fighting. He running along the walls hacking, slashing, kicking, deflecting, and punching. His ninjutsu training in the Hand paying off her. He analyzed his opponent's body language, read their technique, and used tactical analysis to anticipate and identify weak points which he exploited with his blade. One would notice that except for their weapons their movements didn't produce any sound. However move just kept pouring into this enclosed space. Some managed to get past him although with a swift kick to unbalance or sent them to the floor once before making their way for the others. Then Kenshin caught sight of the Mandarin at the end of the hallway and saw a glowing aura around his right hand.

Kenshin turned on his heel and yelled "Grab on to somethin—" The floor then suddenly fell away as if someone dissolved it. Kenshin landed flat on his stomach in the rising safe which may fall with the disruption to Coal's concentration. Anyone who didn't find a way off the ground would fall to the unstable floor of the floor below them. "Out of all the Daimyo, it had to be that one." Kenshin complained.

Liam shook his head, Must've lost focus. He thought as he looked towards the soldiers of the Hand. Still, a grin formed on his face at the mistake. He then continued forwards once more as one of the Hand soldiers sent a sword down onto him. He reached into his holster in search of a weapon to use against the foe, shocked as he came to realize he'd been unarmed during his confrontation with the Beast. "Oh.. my.." He whispered to himself as he dodged the blade, balling his right hand into a fist. That arm came down on the Hand soldier's arm, unarming him before he took hold of the man's wrist. He used the man's momentum to flip him forward, reaching for his sword as he continued on fighting. Soldier after soldier, his adrenaline rushed, slowly he felt as if it'd be time to bust out the occasional Iron Fist punch. Instead, the ground below him shook, causing him to misplace his foot. He was tripped then, and forced to the ground by one of the Hand's ninjas.

"Urgh..." He grunted, the man down on him with great force. He could see the Mandarin, glancing forward at Kenshin who'd advance further than him. A cut had already formed on his bottom lip, as he sucked in the metallic juices, he tried to push off his attacker to no avail. With nothing going as he'd planned, he was indeed lucky as the ground below him shattered, causing the ninja to lose his grip and fall under him. "Everybody, watch out!" He echoed after Kenshin as he himself descended. With great strength he willed himself to jump, leaping from falling rock to falling rock before pulling himself up onto the side of the twentieth floor. He rolled up his mask as he sat on the edge, breathing heavily before he stood up once more. The mask was back on his face as he looked around in the debris for any of the other Avengers that'd been affected by the freak quake.

"Red is a good color on you~" Bianca chuckled at the ninja, and her hands hovered over the body, ready to use her powers.
"Now this might hurt--" She heard Kenshin and Liam's shouts of warning, and she leaped up and grabbed a light that conveniently hung out of the wall, holding the scruff of the ninja's outfit with the other hand.

Even though it wasn't the best time to be drooling over powers, she stared at the Damiyo with wide and amazed eyes.
"it's official, I wanna drain this dude's powers~!" She still managed to hold onto the bleeding ninja, though her grip was weakening. "..." Bianca scanned for any chance that she could move this more of a rag doll then a human weight. An idea sparked in her mind and she quickly threw the ninja to the wall and pinned him to the wall with a hunting wall, snagging his loose pieces of fabric.

"Good to have that out of the way..." she grimaced and looked at the light, wondering how much longer it would hold her weight.

Bristol Roberta Banner

It wasn't the first time ther ewas mass destruction in her small own. Burglars and robberies were a typical frontline of this city's news paper, and it seemed as if a day without crime was those in fairytales. Her father had warned her not to get inolived with sinister plots and to not bcome a hero in a comic book because he wasn't yet ready to control her temper. Any rise in pressure lvels and her explosive bestial mode would errupt without borders. But like her stubborn ot heade father, she wouldn't just bear to watch the world crumble before her eyes and watch TV anchors report the incidents. This time she would bet her life on it, and not dare let the newest threat in town get away with this.

----

Her heart was racing against time as the massive stone pillars were giving out beneath the twenty story building. Debris fell out of the sky and each step further into the building was riskier than the previous one. Her black combat boots avoided the glass shattered on the paved floor and cracked vinyl tile beneath her. She exhaled as she heard a ruckus coming from the other side of the building, and her green eyes darted from side to side at every fracture and every split of concrete around her. And there it was levitating like a magic trick . The safe box was rising like a baloon with helium, and kept escalating up through the center of the 20 story building. And hence the reasno this whole skyscraper was going to end in ruins. Out of nowhere,--- and just like that rubble from the sky struck her on the head and it just happened before one could count to 3. Her pupils dilated and her green eyes darkend like a forest pines at night. Her stature increased by two feet and her leather jump suit expanded like it was supposed to and she roared like a lion. The beast had awaken.

Coal could care less about Rand trying to figure things out. They had a job to do and... Coal paused the safe's motion just as a wave of blood splatted over him and the others. This was just peachy now wasn't it. "Grotesque." He uttered at the blood all over him now. His attention shifted over to Kenshin as the guy was gaining distance away from the group. He was the closest to the safe at this point, once they got the item they could be done with this.

Coal pointed one of his hands in the safe's direction once more. He had been extremely careful not to mess with the building's structure as he brought it up. What would be the point of bringing it up to them if the floor was going to cave in under them? So far the building would be fine and not come crumbling down.

Kenshin's warning caught his attention yet again. "Grab onto something?" He merely whispered the question just as the floor gave out from under them. This was far from good. He felt himself start to fall but he was quick to catch himself and keep the safe in place. He noticed Jones next to him had little time to move. He let some of the metal spheres wrap around her and recreate the vest he had when they had first entered the building. She would be fine for mow... But something struck Coal's thoughts.... He moved Jones to the safe next to Kenshin. He ripped the metal door off the safe and dragged it down the hallway striking any ninja's in it's way. It stopped under him on it's side as if making a platform for him to stand on.... But he didn't let his feet touch the ground or the safe's door.

Things were about to get way out of control as expanded his magnetic fields. All the little metal spheres gathered around the others and the one new comer. They melted into vests that were now on every team member plus one. He moved his hands as if pushing the air out in front of him heading to the safe. There he placed everyone, either on top where Kenshin was, or actually inside where the glowing orb was. The tech they needed..... Almost the size of a basketball.

But Coal would let the others worry about that. He still kept the safe at float and looked back to the door below his feet. This was going to be tricky.... With the floor now missing... The building was unstable. Their mission was to get the tech... But they couldn't let the building fall and crush innocent people below, or maybe even topple over and hit other buildings.

Coal watched as the metal safe door started to liquefy. Moving his hands, molding it and then sending it through the vents of the building. He finally let himself touch ground and placed his hands on the wall. He would be able to keep the safe afloat as he started to find and fix the building's support. This was a big task in itself for him as this was no small building. Coal could feel the building wanting to break..... He pushed his powers to work faster and scanned as fast as he could to find out where the structure was failing.

Kenshin looked back at the Mandarin who was now slowly floating over the safe. What Kenshin thought was what would happen if he got his hands on the power source? They weren't going to escape with it not with some many Hand members, the Mandarin, the Beast, and whatever green monstrosity just arrived. Kenshin wallrunning on the side on the safe ducked into the door of it. He drew his word which flowed red with tachyons and then slashed the energy source in two while moving his tachyons field to cover suppress the explosion. "I had to destroy the object, we couldn't let it fall into enemy hands." Kenshin said in the comms.

Just then the other end of the safe was blow open as the Mandarin floated through a hole in the safe he blasted open. "Drop the safe, everyone on it off of it, now!" Kenshin whispered into the comms. He began to back away to the door of the safe. "Nothing for you here, Mandarin. I destroyed what you were looking for. There's nothing you can —" Kenshin was blasted out of the door of the safe by a bright blue energy. He fell one floor onto the the 19th floor. He was winded and probably bruised a few ribs in the fall. Although if Coal drops the safe with the Mandarin inside it would buy them some time to escape.

The Hand ninja themselves seemed non to deterred from killing anyone who wasn't them. The ran along the Walls throwing kunai and shuriken at everyone. One of them spotting the green monstrosity instead of attacking if directly they simply made a few hand signs and the floor underneath her and the several following floors began to crumble with the intent for her to falls several floors and a few more but those times actually crashing through them.

Toni, now in her Doom armour, flew towards the Knightly Enterprises building. The strange fog still circled the building but as she got closer she could see that the building appeared to be under attack.
M.A.R.I.A. brought up a 3D display of the building on Toni's HUD (Heads Up Display). "My preliminary scans have detected several heat signatures still inside the building, Miss Antonia." Toni could see from the display that whilst most people appeared to be making their way downstairs, there was a large concentration of individuals towards the upper floors.

"My scans are also picking up that anomalous energy from before Field Marshall Field Marshall as well as a strong electromagnetic current Super Villain Nova Super Villain Nova emanating from the 20th floor." That could be no coincidence, Toni thought to herself, especially considering that was where the largest group appeared to be. fin fin Peach Tea Peach Tea Pink Gorilla Pink Gorilla Drakonsheart Drakonsheart

"However, most troubling of all, I've detected several massive structural breaches throughout the building. My projections estimate it could collapse at any moment." Toni's display began to outline several key support structures. "It won't be enough to save the building but if we could stabilise these areas, it should provide enough time to allow civilians to evacuate."

As much as she would like to figure out what exactly the intruders wanted (and kick some bad guy butt), her priority always had to be saving lives. Flying into the building through a collapsed wall, she made her way towards one of the buildings support beams. Grabbing it with her armoured gauntlets she realigned it before using her finger laser to weld the beam back together. Once this one was secure she would move on to the next one. _Aquarius_ _Aquarius_

Liam coughed out the foggish air as he focused on his chi, he'd be able to utilize his enhanced vision and energy detection of he were just able to concentrate. With that in mind, what began as a misty-looking view turned into a clear one as he acknowledged himself for the feat. He then channeled more of his chi towards the mystic energies being generated from the safe box and Coal's electromagnetic energy, using this as a GPS of sorts before continuing his journey towards the box alongside the others. With the adrenaline pumping in him, Liam's speed increased, alongside his animosity. Upon seeing any soldier of the Hand, a snap of the neck had been his go-to move now. He sighed at Kenshin's new order, nodding as he continued forward. "He's right, it's not worth it if we all die here." He whispered into the comms, "So anyone who can get to the bottom levels, go help out the civilians in need. If you're injured, report the comms ASAP so someone can come find you. And, we need other people supporting the b-" He'd been cut off by a member of the hand, reacting in a quick counter attack as he continued his sentence. "We need to help Vanguard support the building somehow if we can, he's already got so much on his plate. Understood?"

Liam himself decided to retreat from then, racing past the rubble there. He made sure to avoid any of the soldiers of the Hand, even with most of them either knocked out or fazed by the blast. He leaned forwards, pushing his speed and momentum before kicking the ddoor to the fire exit open. He continued down the stairs, prepared to lead the others who'd come down alongside him.

As he exited the building, he then turned his eyes towards the civilians who ran, gushing out of the building like ants whenever you throw a rock in an ant hill. Oh... the childhood memories. He shook away the thought for now though, darting forward as he began doing everything in his power to help those who couldn't.

Coal was baffled by the two commands ringing in his ear piece. Drop the safe, support the building, save civilians.... Coal looked up when Kenshin came zipping past him. He blinked at the sight before turning his attention to the safe. Now whom ever this guy was... He was bad news. Kenshin being tossed around like a rag doll was his first clue... And the only clue he needed. Keeping one hand on the wall he lifted his right hand out towards the safe, anyone who was not yet off the safe he brushed away, using the metal vests he had placed on everyone. In this situation he had to make sure he could easily grab anyone if or when the building would fall.

With those on their team out of the way Coal shut his hand into a fist, closing the safe around Mandarin. He then waved his arm out towards the side of the building where the safe was quick to follow. It was now outside the building before he released his grip on the crushed metal box. Gravity would take over as he turned back to the building. He felt a strange shift in the structure something he did not create himself. Focusing once more, he could tell that someone else was messing with the structure. Possibly not trying to bring it down... But trying to keep it from falling. He gritted his teeth as whom ever was doing this was messing with the balance of the pressure.

He looked up seeing that the floor (two floors up) above them was starting to crack. This was defiantly not good. He quickly looked to where Kenshin had been to find their new appointed leader missing... "You have got to be kidding me?!" He yelled. He looked back to the wall just as a throwing knife zipped past him and hit the wall in front of him. He looked over his shoulder to find members of the hand now attacking anyone that wasn't part of their organization.

He ducked just in time as another struck the wall. He left his right hand on the wall still balancing the building as he pulled metal from what he could. Making sure not to tip the scales he used the new metal to form into shields that would stop the trowing knives from hitting him. This magic metal was starting to piss him off.... Among other things, but this was starting to become a problem. Coal continued to use the shields to protect himself when his right hand dropped from the wall and a sharp pain hit his back right shoulder.

The building started to shift greatly without his magnetic connection, throwing him and others that were not balanced to the floor. He reached to his shoulder grabbing the throwing knife and pulled it out. He cursed movies for their lack of realism at this point. The pain of pulling out the knife was worst than when he got hit with it. He pushed himself up and back to his feet with a great effort. But this was it... The building was going to come down any minute... There was no stopping it or trying to support it.

"if someone can get me close enough to the weird powerful dude, I can steal his powers.. " Bianca muttered into her comms, until she froze her eyes hovering on a scene. There was a little girl crying, amidst rubble, lost. Bianca slowly began to walk to the girl, when she noticed a small part of the building crumble and fall towards the girl. "No!" Bianca leaped and pushed the girl out of the way, getting the tail of her long coat stuck in the large piece from the building.

"Crap..." Bianca looked at the girl, quickly telling her to run as far as she could and get to a safe place. Once the girl was gone, Bianca began to tug on her coat cursing, and refused to take off the coat. All she knew, was that the coat was her last link to her missing father, which she couldn't give up so easily.

Bianca's shoulders ached from tugging and she desperately looked around for any of her teammates. They had to be somewhere around here...the girl took one glance at the building and could tell that it'd collapse any minute.

Anyone Anyone

The Mandarin had someone else in his sights before the safe crumpled around him. He fired a purple beam at Elise, she was teleported somewhere else unable to be found and likely a prison of the Hand. This distracted the Mandarin as the safe crumpled around him, one could hear the metal crushing against his armor. "Withdraw!" He yelled in frustration. Then he was promptly dropped outside of the building to the streets below. Suddenly all the Hand members began to vanish, some of them scooped up fallen comrades or made their fallen disappear with them. Eventually it was just the Avengers, Blood Knight, Bristol, and Toni left inside the crumbling building.

Kenshin got up from the ground and picked up his sword and began to make his way out. This pain was not enough to hinder him. He stopped when he saw Bianca seemingly stuck and fighting to get free. He sent a wave of tachyons that collasped the rubble piece pinning her coat which would likely make her fall forward. Kenshin zipped right next to her to help her get away from the collasping pile of rubble.

Vision came in over the comms. "There are three unidentified individuals who have also interloped in your mission. You are to bring them in, if possible. One of them is what may be Dr Doom in a different colored suit, a Hulk, and the CEO of Knightly Enterprises running around in Blood Red armor. We are also showing Elise is MIA, we believe she has been captured." The odd part was how Vision is collecting this information most cameras in this place must be broken by now.

Coal felt the world around him slow down. Everything almost standing still, as if time had stopped. He could only hear his breathing as the world became silent. He could clearly see everything around him. His eyes paused on a single metal floating sphere. Tiny like a marble. But he knew this was the start and strongest connection he had with the metal around him. The starting point of the web of magnetism. He thought he had lost the connection with the building.... But it was there. Clear as it was now. He had yet to let go of the building.... The only thing keeping it up was his powers. It should have crumbled by now.... But it was still standing.

As time continued to hold, Coal was held with it. Yeah he had used his powers plenty of times and even with the weeks worth of practicing he was able to understand them at a greater level. But this was something he had no clue of... His levels... He knew his father had them and other mutants and such. But he only figured that he would have a few. The connection between him and the building should have been broken, but it was still there, still lingering..... Still holding.

A single drop of blood fell to the floor.

Coal looked down seeing the fresh red liquid only to find another drop following the first one's path. That couldn't be from his shoulder. His hand slowly moved to his face, catching a few more drops on the palm of his hand. He touched his nose before moving his hand back to see. Had he reached his limits.... No...

Coal narrowed his eyes as he recalled Vision's instructions. He could feel them. The others. The avengers and the three new comers. Two had metal on them... He hadn't even noticed that he had already connected his powers to their suits and armor. Everyone on the Avengers was already connected some time ago when he had made the vests.... But there were still some that had no metal on them. Not enough to follow out his next actions.

His eyes looked up at the window before him. In the far distance for some reason he could see it... More so feel it... It was the Helicarrier... He wouldn't be able to make that large of a jump with so many people. Once more his eyes scanned the horizon. Another building not too far from them seemed to stand out as a better spot for now.... He wasn't sure how long his powers would last......

Ping

ping

clash.....

The sound of glass shattering and breaking suddenly filled the air as the world started to turn again. But this time it seemed faster. Much faster.

Coal reached out as the little metal spheres zipped about. Most leaving the building and crashing out the glass. While others moved to connect and create vests for those who had yet to have them. The hulk girl, Kenshin... Even Rand who seemed to be moving outside of the building. How he knew... He really had no idea.

His hold on the Stark girl at the bottom levels became strong and pulled her out from the building. She was not the only one being pulled. Everyone... Everyone that was left was being ripped out from where they were and sent flying across the sky to the rooftop of another building some blocks down.

Coal didn't even notice himself being pulled and when he opened his eyes he was a bit shocked to find him and the others being tossed onto the rooftop. One by one with a thud or a clank. Coal felt the himself fall to the ground and skid a bit as the force of the landing wasn't so... elegant.

And just as they had all landed... somewhat safely... He looked back to the building they were just in. It started to collapse. the top caved in and brought the great structure to it's knees. Smoke emerged from the ground.... Showing that the building had become nothing more than rubble.

Coal blinked feeling his connection truly lost at this point. His breathing was deep and heavy... his energy running on fumes. He felt like he could do more... But his body and mind were screaming no and for him to stop. He kept his eyes on the building as his powers disconnected to the metal around him. Even the small metal spheres dropped to the ground around him and the others. They sounded like marbles raining on the rooftop.... Coal felt his heart stop for a moment... Was that his limit? Could that be all that he could do? It wasn't clear... The only thing clear now was the static in his ear piece....... What now?

"Paris injured, Elise missing, a whole building destroyed, at least you accomplished the objective and kept the power cord away from the Hand. In addition, we have those three unknowns captured thanks to Vision's direct intervention. Could have been worse, could have been better." Steve explained to gathered group of Liam, Kenshin, Bianca, and Coal. "The only really good news is that we have identified at least two more to join the team. They'll be here soon enough. For how's you guys are to remain on standbyuntil we figure out the Hand's next move. Any thing to say for yourselves?"

Blood Knight, Forza, and Doom were apprehended by Vision personally who used some sort of strange power to knock them out. The last thing they would remember before waking up in the bring abaord the Helicarrier is a strange yellow flash. Now Vision sat watching the three of them in their cells waiting for them to come to. They weren't stripped of their weapons or armor as to show they were not entirely being held prisoner. SHIELD in fact had propositions for the three of them, they were in the original dossier of possible recruits but these three just practically fell into the lap of SHIELD. Why not take advantage of that?

"William Butcher? Or should I say Salamander?" Said a voice from behind former fighter and now current street vigilante. The man who called his name was wearing a sleeveless SHIELD combat uniform, his hair was ice blue as well as his eyes. The man approached Salamander at a steady pace but not a threatening one. "I am Agent Drake of SHIELD, we have much to discuss."

"Ahhhh... Damn, this hurts. Cojone." The thick Spanish accent of the bearded man filled the empty street. The city was still alive during the dead of night and that meant that all kinds of thugs came out to play. William had just gotten out of a fight with three hooligans that had been harassing some woman that was walking home late from work. Will always tried to settle things with common thugs without his powers but anyone would lose their shit if a knife entered their shoulder, right? The man had been stabbed in the fight and that caused him to explode in anger..... literally. Two of the men had their skin burnt black and the third had actually died from the blast. Just another night in New York.....

William turned around at the voice behind him and the first thing that came to mind was the building that had recently blown up and burned down,
"So you know who I am but I will tell you now.... I did not burn down that building. I was walking around in the streets." Whatever it was that this man wanted to talk about, it probably wasn't going to be good.

Liam sighed as Steve spoke, in his own thoughts as the former avenger spoke. In spite of the mission being 'semi-successful' he couldn't help but feel responsible for it not being a complete success. He'd been captured by the Hand, and even when he'd returned was already confused at the mission's current status. Liam just couldn't help but wonder how things could've went if he'd stayed. He shook the thought as Steve mentioned the mission being somewhat successfull, allowing him to look up.

Once asked about any comments they may have, Liam furrowed his brows before speaking. "We may not have gotten a hold of the weapon but we did our jobs properly as a team. Everyone took the orders in a positive way and responded very quickly to each given situation. Especially Coal." He took a quick glance at the boy he'd angered upon first arrival. "This team might not be so bad, Rogers." He added with a slight smirk.

"..." Bianca looked down her arms crossed. A question had been gnawing away at her stomach ever since they got back... Only for some strange reason she was afraid to ask it. The little girl that Bianca had saved earlier was stuck in mind making her more and more curious of what happened to the little girl after she ran.

Bianca shook her head quickly and looked around the room for an exit. She needed to clear her head. Quietly, Bianca walked out the doors rubbing her temples, not caring if meeting was over or not.

Coal couldn't recall anything that had happened after the building fell. He blinked as he sat in the meeting room... and now that he thought about it... his mind was drawing a blank for the whole mission... as to why? He couldn't recall that either.

Recap of three hours before......

After SHIELD had picked them up from the rooftop, Coal was already almost out of it. He had used up practically all of his energy and on top of that he had lost a good about of blood from the wound on his shoulder. So by the time SHIELD got to them Coal was on the verge of passing out.

The medics were quick with their patch up job on his shoulder and more worried about getting his blood count back up. An IV, a blood bag and a few pain killers later...

Present Time....

Coal found himself in the meeting room with the others....... now how did he.... ?

Coal felt something bothering him on his right shoulder. He looked over to it pulling at his shirt to find the bandage over his wound. His mind drew a blank but it also told him he had been stabbed.... When did he get stabbed? He couldn't recall anything at this point. The medics had told him that the pain killers would wear off after a couple of hours.... If his mind was in the right place he would remember this. But no... This was his first time ever on such medication, so the outcome would very.

Coal looked away from his wound when he heard his name being said. He blinked towards Rand not realizing that his reaction was delayed greatly. What did Rand say about him? The confusion was written all over his face, but faded away when he looked towards Rogers. Coal looked at the table as he sunk into his chair. They were talking about him for sure... As to what about... No clue.

Coal looked up noticing Bianca leaving the room and felt even more out of it. A slight depressed look crossed his face as he let out a deep breath. He paused feeling a small sharp pinch in his back. Once more coal rediscovered the wound in his shoulder. When the fuck did he get stabbed?! And who stabbed him?! Just trying to think was making him exhausted. He didn't even realize how far he was sinking into his chair at this point... And frankly he had no energy to care. He let his eyes wander curiously hoping to catch something out of the conversation going on around him. And what ever this feeling was... He kind of liked it... He felt so relaxed.... And.... There was something on his shoulder.... Again rediscovering the wound.....

Somewhere above Earth...

FZZZT! CRRRRSSSSH! FTOOOOOOM!

A small spacecraft flew out of hyperspace, spinning wildly as it plummeted toward the planet's surface. The ship, looking like a retro futuristic toy with two large turbines attached to front like a sleigh, shook violently as it passed through the atmosphere and began a hard descent into the heart of New York. It glided across the skyline, narrowly avoiding clipping skyscrapers and antennae as it aimed for the stretch of green ahead. The ship smashed into the dirt with a loud thud as it rested in a crater, the turbines winding down. A display inside the cockpit lit up, the AI of the ship sparking to life.

One Hour After Alien Impact...

"The message has been broadcasting throughout the airwaves. The same question, on repeat. We believe it's coming from the ship that touched down in New York an hour ago." A government official said, pointing to a digital map behind him. In front of him sat the various heads of the United States government, the President seated directly across from the map.

"This ship, you said it has familiar markings?" The president inquired. The agent nodded and tapped on the laptop in front of him. The map dissolved and showed an exterior photo of the ship.

"The ship's markings seem to be Russian in origin, though a few markings are apparently foreign. We believe the Russians may have made contact with an alien species." The agent stated. The president wiped his brow in nervousness.

"An invasion, perhaps? You think Putin would cut a deal with the Skrull?"

"No, sir. The ship's metal make up shows it's mostly iron and copper. It's Earth made, save for the gigantic engines. They're alien in design. The Pentagon thinks it's a lost Soveit rocket that managed to find its way back. But the message is the strange part." The agent handed the president a cellphone, the display flashing.

"It's transmitting on phones?" The president asked, taking the device.

"Using the wireless signals, it's sending the message to every phone number in the city. Every phone receiving the same message." The agent explained. The president looked down at the phone and tapped the instant messaging app. The display lit up as the same text appeared over and over.

WHO YOU GONNA CALL?

The president looked up at the agent. "Who you gonna call? Well, who do we call?"

The agent straightened his tie and looked the president in the eye.

"We call the Avengers."

Peggy Anne-Carter Rogers
"Are you sure I should go in? Dad is busy~." "I'm sure. Some of the new team are in there right now, he wants a chance for you to make introductions." In a short hall, behind a door leading from Steve's office, Peggy Rogers and her mother, Sharon [Carter] Rogers discussed Peggy's method of engagement. Not 15 minutes she had been in the base, and already she had to introduce herself to complete strangers, establish friendships, see her father for the first time in two months, and attempt to keep her heart in check all the while. "Mum, I'm going to have a heart attack." Peggy recieved a hit in the shoulder. "Don't talk stupid Peggy, you deal with worse." She was right. Peggy had dealt with far, far worse. She was just being melodramatic. She would be fine. "I'm gonna be myself." "Like you always are." Sharon pulled her daughter into a hug and sighed. "It's good to have you back." "It's good to be back." When the two seperated, Peggy's monitor beeped a single time. She glanced down at the band on her wrist with a tiny sigh. "Okay, I'm going. I need to embarass Captain America without any remorse." Sharon chuckled as her daughter opened the frosted glass door and peeked her head in first. There was three males sitting in front of her father's desk. Two of them were complete and utter strangers, the third however, she had met before on the base. Liam and her had a civil relationship, having only been in the same vicinity a handful of times. With that settled, and her mind now wondering why there weren't any more members in the room, or any females, she stepped out completely and turned to her father. A shit eating grin made its way onto her face as her posture straightened, and her hands hung behind her back. There is nothing wrong with a little cockiness once in a while. Peggy was a model citizen, and sometimes it just gets boring. "Hey pop."

"Agreed, Agent Rand." Steve replied just before Bianca got up and left the debriefing. It seemed Coal wasn't 100% present at the moment either. Kenshin also began to doze off into deep thought which made Steve face palm realizing attention was lacking. This was to he expected and they ought to rest, who knows how perilous the next fight will be. He made a mental note that Coal may have leadership potential based on his performance on the mission. After all, an official leader has yet to be chosen. Now, another individual with leadership potential entered the room which if people didn't know better would seem biased but since it's Rogers one would think different.

"Gentlemen, meet Agent Rogers, fresh out of her brief stay in the civlian world now to join the Avengers. Yes she is my daughter, but that does not entitle her to special treatment or considerations." Steve explained objectively.

"Well I am Kenshin, a really tired Kenshin so I will catch you later." Kenshin introduced himself before leaving the room. Kenshin headed straight to his room and flopped onto his bed. He thought about how Elise was now missing and how the Mandarin had defeated him so easily. Most of all, he thought about what the Hand's next move would be and how would he find them. They would likely seek an alternative method for a power supply. How does Kenshin use that knowledge to find them?

Then came an incoming alert straight from DC to investigate a spaceship crash. Steve wanted to send everyone but not everyone is one hundred percent. Nor did it seem the kind of thing to send the whole team. He figured he could just have the SHIELD operative in the area assess the situation first before making a decision. Steve quickly sent orders to to have the Helicarrier hovering over the site on the crash.

"Relax, we know full well who destroyed that building. That's not why I am here...." He paused briefly to check a smart device to see orders to go check out a nearby crashed spacecraft. "Mind walking with me, so I can multi task?" It wasn't really a question. "Yes we do know who you are and what's happened to you. Rather than being some third rate vigilante on the street, I have come on behalf of SHIELD to offer you something better. We would like for you to join the Avengers Initiative." Drake explained as they walked.

Soon the two where appproaching the downed Spacecraft situated in a New York City Park. It was slick it landed in a park rather than in a building or street. One way would mean a lot of infrastructure damage and another would mean a terrible increase in traffic.

Peggy Anne-Carter Rogers
After a crushing hug from Peggy, she allowed her father to continue formaly. She kept herself beside him, patiently waiting for him to finish his little introduction for her. She nodded lightly, with a glance at Steve. He was right in every sense. Peggy wouldn't have it any other way. With a small smile she adresssed the males herself. "My name's Peggy. Nice to meet you all~." Kenshin making his leave did not phase her. She gave him a smile and a nod in acknowledgment, watching him briefly as he left. They quite obviously had just come back from a mission, and now that she was paying more attention to the state of each of them, she could see the lethargy clear as day. Poor things~. Peggy was about to adress her father again when the alert came in. She kept her gaze from the screen before her father, deciding if she was to know its details, Steve would telp her and the others. When that was finally over her sight moved up from the floor to everyone else.
