Name:

Mathew 'Matt' Murdock

Superhero Identity:

Daredevil

Gender:

Male

Appearance:
5f2ea5ba4afadada285f71fcca94dd5f.jpg

Personality:

  • Blunt
  • Deadpan humour
  • Flustered and frustrated easily
  • Strong sense of justice
  • Studious
  • Teacher's pet
  • Major anger issues
  • Socially stiff
  • Self destructive
  • Drama queen
  • Emotionally detached

Powers/Skills/Abilities:

  • He has extremely heightened senses, to the point he could hear a heart beat from a block away, assuming everything else was quiet of course. He is blind, and can't see, not really. But he can create an image in his head, imagine what it's like, because he's aware of everything. This was something he describes as a 'world on fire', as he can only imagine the general shape of things, not the details, and they are red and constantly shifting. Like fire.
This extends beyond just sound, touch, taste and hearing, though. When put together, they enhanced his balance. He has limited echolocation abilities. He can hear the miniscule change in heart rate when someone lies, effectively being a type of lie detector (this doesn't work if the person is very well trained to lie). He can even sense changes in heat, like the heat a body would give off. A world on fire indeed.

  • He is skilled at hand to hand combat. He uses his own style, a mix of boxing and parkour. It's very extravagant (mostly because he has a pension for cool but unnecessary flips and other such drama). It's brutal, especially when he uses it to torture information out of someone.

  • He has basic medical knowledge. His father would let his son patch him up after fights, and after his death Matt (through lots of trial and error) learnt to patch himself up after his many fights.

  • He's been training to be a lawyer for years. He knows his way around the legal system,, and around the act of persuasion.

Equipment:

  • His body. When fighting, he doesn't use weapons. He instead opts to fight with his body.

  • Cane. He doesn't use it for fighting (even though his friend Foggy has assured him multiple times it would be incredibly cool), but it's still very useful for navigating the world. His powers have their limits.

  • Braille Embosser. It connects to a computer and translates written documents by punching it onto a piece of paper. It's useful for reading off a screen.

Transferred:

Hell's Kitchen Boarding School for Troubled Youth

Studies:

Timeless Archives, S.H.I.E.L.D HQ, Robo Dojo, Arena of War

Hangouts:

Maverick Dorm, Campus Quad, Club A, Power Gym, Avengers Park

Dorm:

Maverick
(To his displeasure. It's because of his anger issues)

Questline:

Matt has an almost feral thirst for justice. He has heard rumours (super hearing ayy) and is determined to know what's going on, what the teachers are hiding. He must defend Hells Kitchen...

...and he also wants the teachers to like him and to do well and get good scores, ok? He can't help himself.

Backstory:

Matt was born to a mother of whom he never got to know, and Jack Murdock. Jack was a washed up and somewhat broke boxer, who didn't want the same for his son. And so he constantly worked Matt, encouraging him to study and to do his best. They lived in a small, dingy apartment, but they were both happy.

When he was nine, Matt saved an elderly man from being hit by a truck of oil and chemicals. In doing so, though, the young boy was hit by the truck himself. The injuries were not life threatening, but the chemicals being held by the truck escaped their containment in the accident, and Matt was almost soaked in it. They enhanced his senses a hundred times over. But they also permanently blinded him.

He adapted to this pretty quickly. His father still pushed him in his studies, and once he had learnt Braille he threw himself back into his studies. He suffered occasional breakdowns, caused by sensory overload, but he and his father adapted. His father learnt what was too devistating for him, and Matt learnt to focus on only one thing, not everything around him. Unfortunately, things were about to get a lot worse.

Jack had been offered money to throw his next fight. He had agreed, knowing that his son would need more than they had. Matt overheard this exchange, but he was a child. He thought little of it. He regrets that to this day. Jack had a strong moral code. When he was in the ring, doing what he loved, he couldn't bring himself to throw the fight. He won, and he paid for it.

Matt heard the gun shot from the apartment. He ran the entire way there. He knelt by his fathers side and cried. He cried for a long time.

After that, Matt was sent to live in an orphanage. However, he would act out constantly. He was developing a serious anger problem, and the loss of his father had severely effected his control of his senses. The nuns began to get sick of him, and the orphanage business was a shrinking one anyway. They sent him to board at Hell's Kitchen Boarding School for Troubled Youth. It was there that he met some of his closest friends, as well as an elderly man called Stick.

Stick was blind also, and worked in martial arts. He took Matt under his wing, taught him to better handle his abilities. And taught him to fight. Stick lasted little more than a year, though. When Matt began to get close to him, the older man got scared and bolted. Matt was, once again, devastated.

He began honing his abilities, practicing what Stick had taught. He worked on his combat, too. He mixed Stick's parkour-based style with his father's wrestling, which even he was surprised to find worked. He began going out at night, after an incident where he overheard a father doing unspeakable things to his daughter. He became a vigilante.

Matt also, along with Foggy - his closest friend - began to study law. The studious nature his father installed in him had to go somewhere, and Matt had devolved a dangerous thirst for justice.

At some point, despite Matt's efforts to keep it secret, SHIELD had caught wind of his abilities, and his previous involvement with Stick. They put two and two together, and so Matt was enrolled Avengers Academy. He was...not happy. Not happy at all. But they knew, and he wanted it to be secret. So he went with them, which brings us to now. Yay.

Name:
Ororo Munroe

Superhero Identity:

Storm

Gender:

Female

Appearance:
4276882-2982090-storm_full_artwork.png

Personality:

  • Strong-Willed
  • Easy going when happy
  • Stands her ground and cares about others
  • Takes no sass

Powers/Skills/Abilities:

  • Storm is a mutant who possesses the psionic ability to manipulate weather patterns over limited areas. She can stimulate the creation of any form of precipitation such as rain or fog, generate winds in varying degrees of intensity up to and including hurricane force, raise or lower the humidity and temperature in her immediate vicinity, induce lightning and other electrical atmospheric phenomena, and disperse natural storms so as to create clear change. Storm can direct the path of certain atmospheric effects, such as bolts of lightning, with her hands. She has also demonstrated the ability to manipulate ocean currents, though the extent of this ability is still unclear.

Storm’s control over the atmosphere is such that she can create certain effects over a specific area while shielding smaller areas within that region. For example, she can create a rainstorm around herself but prevent the raindrops from touching her. Storm can also create atmospheric phenomena over very small areas, such as creating a rainstorm small enough to water a single potted plant.

Storm can only manipulate weather patterns as they exist in nature. For example, she can end a drought in one area by creating torrential rains there, but that would necessitate robbing all available moisture from the surrounding areas. Storm is not able to create atmospheric conditions that do not exist naturally on the planet she is on. For example, Storm is unable to lower temperatures as far as absolute zero or raise them to solar intensities on Earth.

The limit to the size of the area over which Storm can manipulate the weather is not yet known. However, she once diverted the jet stream so as to create storms over the entire East Coast of the United States. She can create weather effects within indoor areas or within artificially maintained environments. Storm is limited by the force of her will and the strength of her body. It once took her several hours to stop a savage blizzard sweeping over much of Canada, and she nearly died from exhaustion in the process.

Storm is able to fly by creating winds strong enough to support her weight, the weight of others, and to propel her forward through the air. Storm can thus travel as fast as any wind can, and has reached speeds up to 300 miles per hour. Her powers over the atmosphere enable her to breathe at any speed, protect her from air friction, and grant her limited immunity to extreme heat and cold.

Storm is also able to alter her visual perception so as to perceive electrical energy patterns as well as those factors responsible for existing meteorological phenomena in her surrounding environment.

Storm's ability to manipulate the weather in her immediate vicinity is affected by her emotions; hence, if she does not maintain control, a fit of rage might induce a destructive storm. Storm also suffers from severe claustrophobia.

Backstory:

Ororo Monroe is the descendant of an ancient line of African priestesses, all of whom have white hair, blue eyes, and the potential to wield magic. Her mother, N'dare, was an African princess who married American photojournalist David Monroe and moved with him to Manhattan, where Ororo was born. When Ororo was six months old, she and her parents moved to Cairo, Egypt. Five years later, during the Arab-Israeli conflict, a plane crashed into their home. Ororo's parents were killed, but she survived, buried under rubble near her mother's body. The resultant trauma left Ororo with severe claustrophobia that still affects her today.
Ororo managed to escape the rubble of her shattered home with nothing but the tattered clothes on her back and her mother's ancestral ruby. Homeless and orphaned, Ororo was found by a gang of street urchins who took her to their master, Achmed el-Gibar. Achmed trained Ororo in the arts of thievery and she soon became his prize pupil, excelling in picking both pockets and locks. During her time in Cairo, Ororo picked the pocket of an American tourist. The man proved no easy mark, however, as he was Charles Xavier, a powerful mutant telepath who used his abilities to stop the theft. At that moment, Xavier was psionically attacked by another mutant and Ororo used the opportunity to escape.

Years later, feeling a strong urge to wander south, Ororo left Cairo. During her travels, Ororo naïvely accepted a ride from a complete stranger and was almost raped by him. Forced to defend herself, Ororo killed the man. From that moment, she swore never to take another human life. Ororo wandered for thousands of miles, almost dying during her trek across the Sahara Desert. Her mutant ability to psionically control the weather emerged soon after, and she was able to use them to rescue T'Challa, a prince of the African nation of Wakanda, from his would-be kidnappers. The pair spent much time together, however T'Challa's duties as a prince prevented them from further exploring their burgeoning mutual attraction.
Finally, Ororo reached her ancestors' homeland on the Serengeti Plain in Kenya. She was taken in by an elderly tribal woman named Ainet who taught her to be responsible with her powers. Ororo soon came to be the object of worship of the local tribes who believed her to be a goddess due to her gift.

Years later, Ororo was forced to battle the threat of a fellow mutant weather manipulator known as Deluge, who sought revenge against humanity. With the help of several members of the team of mutant heroes known as the X-men, Deluge was seemingly destroyed and Ororo returned to her life amongst the tribal people. The X-Men subsequently told their founder, Professor Xavier, about Storm but he declined to contact her at this point, not wanting to shock the young woman with the true nature of her powers.

Months later, however, Xavier was left with no choice but to recruit Storm and other mutants from around the world into the X-Men in order to rescue his original students from the threat of the sentient island being known as Krakoa. Xavier explained to Ororo that she was not a "goddess", but a mutant, and as such she had a responsibility to use her abilities to help the world just as she had helped the local tribes. Curious, Ororo accepted Xavier's offer, and was given the codename "Storm".

“What do you do when there is an evil you cannot defeat by just means? Do you stain your hands with evil to destroy evil? Or do you remain steadfastly just and righteous even if it means surrendering to evil?”

  • 4428947.jpg
    Name: Prince T'challa
Alias/Nicknames: His Majesty / Black Leopard / Damisa-Sarki (Great Cat) / Luke Charles
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
    Sexuality: Heterosexual
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 185 lbs (82 kg)
Body Type: Optimal Athletic (~sub 8% Bodyfat)
    Appearance:

T'challa is somewhat tall (6'1") man of African descent. He is characterized by his unusual vertical cat-like pupils and impressive physique, not unlike the animal his tribal clan are named for. T'challa's overall physicality is lean but solid with definition similar that of someone who regularly engages in rigorous exercise.

As the Black Panther, T'challa appears in a formal vibranium weaved suit of sorts bearing resemblance to the animal he's named after. The grain of his suit appears to have a kente pattern-like design. A signifying touch of Wakandan-African pride.

His suit is invariably black, with silver, sometimes gold outer trimming. His overall appearance is meant to convey the presence of a sleek but intimidating looking predator.
