Marriage Formula - (Jadey321 & Sharliery)

Abram sat up on his bed , his back supported by dozens of pillows, he held a book up near his face. He had his glasses at his bedside and read quietly, he knew it was possibly no earlier than 7am. Out side of his windows he could hear the birds chirping, the window blowing, everything was coming alive. For the past 4 days, Abram was in and out of sleep. His body recovering day by day, the fever was almost completely gone. All the sleep had started new ideas in his head, every night he would wake up breifly to write, sleep, then awake again in the early mornings. At this point his room now cluttered with papers and pens and small drawings. Since he wasn't allowed to leave his room until he was better he tried to make use of what he could. With all of his time, Abram began to also notice more often then not how Josephine would pop into his head. What was she up to? What was she wearing? Did she like the estate? Many of the maids had informed him he missed her visits when he was asleep, with his luck he was always awake when his mother was around. Even now, trying to refresh on the laws of physics, his mind wandred to Josephine and the events that had occured. He was an idiot..but he would make it better. Somehow. She had areeged to marry him, so that was half of the battle. He had promised her a better proposal... His book fell to his lap. A proposal. Well that was like Rocket Science! Actually, rocket science was something he could comprehend and accomplish, making a woman you barely know happy and excited to marry a man who chased her out of a 3rd story window..? That would pose more of a challenge. He could just pull out a ring and decalre a marraige? He shook his head, that didn't seem very, what did women like? Romantic.

Maybe he would ask his mother?

His mother. That would be another topic he would tackle when he was better. Abram brought his hands to his face , dragging them down and rubbing the bridge of his nose. He dred as he remembered with the last turn of events, his mother had revoked him any access to his laboratory... He was a grown man still gonverned by his mother? That would change once he was married. He'd have power and access to everything and anything. No one to tell him what he could or could not do. Part of him couldn't wait.. This marriage could pay off in more ways then one. His mother had been estatic about the news of the marriage, popping in ever so often to tell him of how grand it would be, and how they were going for dresses, colors, flowers and the engagement ball. He had hoped Josephine's wasn't too overwhelmed...He blinked as her face popped into his head agian.

"Here I go..." He whispered. Abram readjusted himself into the bed, snuggling back into his pillows he brought the cover up his torso some more. Would she visit him again today? A smiled creeped on his face, he hoped she would. Abram wanted to know how her days were going, how they were being spent. What she had eaten? Eating. His stomach grumbled at the thought of food. He knew their would be some servents awake but their was about 3 hours before anyone would come check on him to ask if he wanted anything. He would starve by then. He could escape and grab something without anyone knowing..maybe even pop to the laboratory before his mother sends someone to lock it up.

Without hesitation Abram shot from his bed, standing his full length of 6'1, he streched his arms over his head, streched his legs and and rolled his shoulders back.

"I feel like the walking head.." He grumbled with a sigh. He was dressed in only breechers, shirtless and barefoot. His hair was everywhere, from rustling in bed and with a quick wiff..He could probably use a bath! But first. Food. He figured no one would see him besides a few maids , so rushing out of his room barely dressed he left his glasses on his night stand. He couldn't see far objects but he knew his home pretty well to get around.

The last couple days had been a blur, Katherine had dragged her all around town in her carriage. She was fitted for her dress, picked out the colors for the wedding, and even picked out what the cake will look like. Everything was happening so fast that she barely got to stop by Abram's room to see how he was doing. Whenever she went to his room, he was sleeping, every single time. The wedding was starting to look like Katherine's dream wedding and not her own wedding. Josephine sat down in the one comfy chair in the study, pulling her knees up to her chest. Her dream wedding would be in the woods, the trees would be like a canopy, keeping the unnecessary sun away but letting just the amount of light through. And there would be lanterns for when the sun went down. Her dress would be form fitting and lacy, just beautiful. And then she would walk down to Abram, smiling at her while she smiled back. A creak in the floor awoke her from her daydream and she put her legs down. She was currently dressed in some short shorts she had requested and a tube top, it was her comfy clothes that she usually wore in her room.

But since Katherine was out doing who knows what for the wedding, Josephine decided to leave her room. She stood up from the chair, moving to the doorway. She stuck her head out, looking around to see who made the creaking noise. Then she saw him, Abram was walking around again. Josie stepped all the way out, walking closer to him, the closer she got the more she saw what he was wearing. He looked... Hot. Her mouth went dry as she clasped her hands together and leaned against the nearest wall."Well, look who's up and moving."She finally spoke after looking him up and down. He didn't have his glasses so she moved forward a little so he could see her."Are you feeling better?"Then she heard his stomach. Josie smiled and then took his hand, leading him down the stairs and to the kitchens."Here, sit."She guided him to a seat and then went to work on making him a sandwich and some soup.

Abram was trying his best to go through out the halls without making so much noise, but that was of no use, everything creeked or his bare feet would slide or he would bump into a wall. Maybe coming out wasn't his best option. Coming up into the East of the building he thought he has heard some one open the door. He turned his body slightly, his abdominal muscle contracting into a perfect lean shape. Without his glasses he didn't see much, maybe in his head he thought... He heard a noise again then stopped.

"Well, look who's up and moving." Her voice sent his body ablaze, partly because of embaressment. Confidence. His mind rung. Confidence is key! He turned toward the voice, straightening his back and trying not to squint for the fear of looking foolish.

"Josephine?" He questioned and she moved much vloser to him, he saw her eyes immedetly.

"Are you feel ing better?"

"Yes, Thank you. I have caugght up on sleep, but if I stay in bed longer I'm afr-" His stomach growled, creating an awkward silence. He gave a nervous laugh and placed his hands to his stomach. Before he could react he sa her beautiful smile. Grabbing his hand he was pulled down the stairs and all he could do was stare as she manuvered her way through out the estate, he was happy she had learned it.

"Here, sit."

He took his seat and sat stunned as she made her way to gather things to prepare him something. He took this moment to look at her fully. He hadn't seen so much skin on her..ever. Long legs, shorts, that left nothing to the imagnation...Her exposed stomach, the curves of her breasts under her tube top...he could just reach out and touch them now if he wanted...to see an experession on her face. His mouth was hot, he could swear he was drooling. Then he remmeber what she had said "Repulsive." Pulling his eyes away from her body, he let out a shaky break and adjusted on the chair. Under the table he was aroused, and if he had to get up...IT would be a bad scene for everyone. Willing himself to calm down he looked out the kitchen's window where the sun was starting to raise over the trees...He tried to get some brething down.

"My mother has been visiting me and telling me about all of your plans. Are you satisfied with everything?" He sounded a bit bland...trying hard to keep his wits about him to stop him from grabbing her and attempting to take her on the table...

Josephine peered over her shoulder, watching him and catching him checking her out. With a little smirk on her lips, she turned back to what she was doing, finishing the soup and sandwich at the same time. She put the bowl of soup in front of him first, then the sandwich on a plate."There, I'm very happy you're feeling better."She said lightly, smiling at him. Looking at him now, his messy hair and lack of clothing made her want to kiss him. Just right then and there, kiss him and have him hold her tightly. She realized that she had been staring with longing for quite sometime so she coughed and looked away. What is she going to do with these feelings of hers? When he spoke up finally, she looked back at him, hopping up onto the counter. It was totally un lady like but frankly she didn't care much."Yes, and no. The dress is beautiful, so gorgeous.. It fits me like a glove. There's just a few touches here and there where I feel like its more your mother then.. Then me.. Us."She tried to explain, thinking about the location that Katherine had picked out and almost booked. But Josephine stopped her, saying that maybe they should wait until Abram was well enough to check the place out too.

Her hands gripped the counter, licking her lips as her eyes drifted to his chest and all of his muscles. He was driving her crazy. She ran her fingers through her hair, messing it up a little as she stretched her arms up over her head."But technically, I'm not even engaged yet so.."She mused, holding up her left hand and looking at her bare wedding finger. Josephine smiled back at him, knowing that she would stump him as usual. Her outfit probably wasn't helping him concentrate, she felt pleasure in that. She hopped off of the counter, moving around so she was behind him. Running her fingers down his back and then back up again, she started to notice how tense he was."Oh Abram"She whispered, massaging his shoulders."You need to relax more."

Abram tried to stay concentrated on the up coming sun rise. He heard the shifting of plates and had finally calmed his body down. All he had to do was concentrate on something else. He heard her place the plate down in front of him and the smell quickly took over his senses, sending his head and hands directly towards the plate.

"Yes, I haven't been sick like that in a few years now," He answered quite as a matter of fact. Grabbing the sandwhich he began to eat as he listened to her speak, his eyes keeping on his plate.

"The dress, she told me you looked angelic. The bill I must say wasn't so angelic..." He laughed a bit, trying to lighten the serious conversation. He looked at her then and smiled. "If there is something you do not like please don't hesitate to let my mother know. Or me for that matter. It is your wedding afterall. You only get one." He took another bite of his sandwhich. And with a full mouth continued to talk. "And it's not like she didn't dictate the other two. What is it you want to change? I know tomorrow she wanted to see if I was well enough to see where the ceremony and party will be held."

"But technically, I'm not even engaged yet so.."

Abram almost choked, looking up to her playing with her bare left hand, a playful smile on her face. His cheeks turned red as he tried to get the lump lodged in his throat up. He finally caught his breath and put thehalf eaten sandwhich down.

"I-I know...I'm working on it. I've been sick you know..." He gave her a small playful glare..

He saw her hop off the counter making her away around him his body tensed. Abram felt her fingers run down his back. He couldn't help the sigh that escaped his lips.

"Oh Abram," Her voice purred in his ears. "You need to relax more."

Abram melted into the chair as her hands worked his shoulders. His hands were both ontop of the table, relaxed and not moving. He let his head fall forward, giving her more access to his shoulder blades. He felt his mind go at ease, between sleep, food and this... hefelt content.

"Josephine..." He let out another sigh before kicking his head back to stare at her. His long arm reached out and carassed her cheek.

"Relaxing next to you is close to impossible...I almost can't wait until our wedding... It's taking everything I've got to stay composed." He gave her a smile, bringing his thumb to her lips, he skimmed them. "I remember the kiss you gave me.."

Josephine loved the way each muscle relaxed under her touch as she moved all throughout his shoulder blades and his back."The only thing I would change out the wedding, would be its location. Your mother has picked out this wonderful church and dance hall for everything.. But that really isn't my style. I was thinking more like in the woods, with the trees making a canopy over us and then when it gets dark there will be lanterns above us, scattered everywhere."She explained, going back into her little daydream as her fingers worked out the many tense areas on Abram's back and shoulders. When he said her name, so softly, her lips parted and she wanted to just lean in and place the simplest kiss between his shoulder blades. But then his head tipped back and he was staring at her, she smiled not stopping her hands from massaging him just yet.

When his fingers were on her cheek, she let out a tiny sigh, leaning into his hand. She had missed his touch desperatley."Stay composed?"She whispered, her voice shaky as her hands slowed down. One of her hands reached up and cupped his against her face while the other stroked his cheek lightly. And then his thumb was against her lips and they parted instantly, Josephine's head was reeling. The mention of the kiss made her just want to kiss him again, her lips started to ache and tingle as her eyes stared at his."Oh.."She whispered, leaning in closer. They were so close thta their noses touched. Josephine was ready, ready to kiss him.

"The location from a church into the woods?" He looked at her deeply as she leaned in closer to him, his eyes glazing over with desire as he felt her body press into his, her hair cascading into onto his shoulders and chest. "We can take a look at them both tomorrow and then make a decision..." With her lips inches away, he lowered his gaze to look at them. How they parted slightly, how her tongue had moisted them, the rosy pink. "It would save alot..of...money..." In this position she could convince him to murder.

Confidence. His mind reminded him, as he intinctively wrapped an arm behind her head gently and lowered her lips onto his. instantly he felt asurge of attraction. His insides twisted , again a hunger for her began to grow but he held the urge to flip her onto the table. After a few moments of kissing, he seperated from her searching her eyes.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't resist..." He brushed his thumb over her lips again. "Marrying me won't be so bad, I'll promise you.."

"I'm more of an out doorsy girl if you haven't firgured it out already.." Josephine said lightly, referring to her choice for the wedding to be held."I think it's more.. Me..."She added, her eyes moving to his lips again. Why was she craving his kiss all of the sudden? It's like that night he had gotten sick made her look at him in a different light. A light that she never wanted to burn out. He was all over her mind, almost every thought was about him. What was he thinking? Wearing? Doing? It was crazy! She had just vowed to not fall for this man. And there she was, doing just that. Falling, slowly but surely for him. The more laid back Abram was the man she liked, not the uptight always in his studies Abram. Josephine was taken away from her thoughts when he gently edged her head down a little and they kissed. They had finally kissed, sweetly. Josie didn't want to stop, her fingers were running through his hair as she kissed back almost right away. The feeling was indescribable and left her breathless as he pulled away a little. When he spoke, she smiled and then placed a kiss on his forehead."First, the proposal."

Josephine was about to kiss him again but the front door bursted open and Katherine's voice filled the entryway. "Josephine? Where are you darling? I have some things for you to try on!" Josie groaned and looked back at Abram."Eat your food, I have to change before she sees me."With that, she placed one last lingering kiss on his lips before she snuck up to her room."Just a minute!"She called out, changing into a yellow sundress that complimented her body. She brushed her hair and then walked back out and down the stairs."Im right here katherine!"Josie smiled at her sweetlyeven though her lips ached for Abram's.

Abram listened as much as he could with his mind hazy from the thoughts running in his head. He could easily scoop her up, let his hands roam over her body and rake her lips and make her his... "First, the proposal." Her soft kiss on his forehead broke his thoughts.

"This proposal will be the death of me," He let out his breath with a long sigh, closing his eyes he let his hand run down her hair and over her cheek before he buried them into his hair, pushing it back out of his face. When he opened them , he grinned, watching as she leaned in for another kiss, his body began to move in to meet her half way.

Abram abruptly stopped inches away from her lips, Josephine looked away, he cursed.

"Josephine! Where are you darling?" He heard his mother's chipper voice calling through the halls.

"Eat your food, I have to change before she sees me."

"Josephine..." Abram almost begged for attention when he felt her body shift to leave. She looked back to him with a smile that made his stomach turn again, with a swift movement she bent down and placed a kiss on his lips that seemed to be on fire. Had the fever returned? No..He was just excited..and with that kiss she was gone before he could blink, leaving his hot body, cold. Abram grumbled.

Abram felt a nervous feeling in his stomach. This growning attention for Josephine was doing exactly what he feared. Interfering with his work. He felt at a loss, he had no choice. With his mother dictating his every move unless he married, he would be losing this time anyway...So why not enjoy it? He thought as he brushed his hands through his hair again, remembering th way her lips parted and welcomed him.

"Ah, the curse of a woman..." He sighed, crossing his hands and directing his attention out of the window to sare atthe blurry vision of the sun.

"Good Morning Young Master," He heard some of the maids giggling as they passed by him, filing in groups into the kitchen to prepare the morning breakfast. Abram noticed their faces a tint of red as they bowed to his half dressed body. He cleared his throat nervously.

"Good morning, my apologies ladies, I lost track of time." He stood from the chair, grabbing the bowl of soup in one hand, and the half eaten sandwich in another. He sipped the soup from the bowl as if it was brandy. "I'll be taking this with me then, carry on..." He took a swift exit.

Kathrine waited in the main foyer, her hair was loose and cascading down her back, she wore a soft pink dress, white silk gloves and a pearl necklace. With a wedding journal in hand, she was giggling to herself as she jotted down notes.

"Oh Clarise! I simply can't choose... Roses or Pink Blossoms...Oh! What about White Orchids. We could have them imported!"

Abram listened as he closed in on his mother and the maid, she had yet to notice his presence and he listen closely as she continued about the wedding. "Which color did we end up going with? I think we went with soft nature colors..Though I feel the brides maids would look beautiful in a baby lilac.."

"It seems more like your wedding then Josephine's..." Abram teased.

"Oh Nonsense Clarie's I'm jus-" She looked up from her notes and it took her a moment to calculate the voice and the image before her. Abram...in breeches... Bare chest... Hair a devilish mess..No glasses.. No shoes... holding his food in his hands as if he was 3 and her staff running about the estate. Kathrine almost screamed, yelped, and gasp at the same time. Kathrine could hear Josephine coming down the steps.

"Abram! Where is your clothes? Oh lord, he's lost his mind..." Kathrine let her hands fall to her side in defeat. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head. "And silver ware? Are you barbaric?"

"Mother, I'm sick." Abram said with an amused smile but he knew his mother wasn't amused. He would milk the excuse until it would work no longer. "I didn't think everyone would be awake so early. Josephine," He acknowleged her as she came beside his mother.

"Oh Dear!" KAthrine's hands shot up to cover Josie's eyes. "Abram is improper at the moment, please forgive him..." She gave Abram a threatening look. Abram took a bite of his sandwhich.

"Mother. She's to be my wife... My body shouldn't be a problem for her."

"It's improper! Go get dressed properly!"

"Yes, yes. But first I have a few things I'd like to request for my wedding..."

"Oh?" Kathrine's attention was caught, her son had never given his input in any planning. He signed the checks and saw all finicial needs were met...but this intrigued her to the point where he hand began to drop from Josie's eyes and her scowl turned into a wide smile.

"It was brought to my attention that you plan to hold the ceremony where you held Vlad's and Irina's? Though beautifully done, I'm afraid I will not be funding for that loction.. "

"You won't be funding? Why not?" Kathrine sounded hurt.

"I feel we should look at our other options... I've learned my future wife has a love for nature..." He smiled. "The west wing yard in April is beautiful... The stream is near, the trees set a perfect canopy... and it isn't too far away from our gardens and grand fountain... Wouldn't the be beautiful illuminated in lights?" He stared at Josephine, his eyes glossed over like a man in love gauging her reaction. He tried to build a picture in his head, something she would love.

"Outside? It does sound beautiful but it is extremely untraditional..."

"Nonsense... Plenty of parties have been held out side at this estate,"

"Yes Abram but parties haven't been thrown outside in years! The grand hall in Moscow is much more known and respected.."

"Mother, "

Kathrine ignored him. She looked to Josephine.

"Josie," She asked softly. "What is your input? Clearly you understand this wedding is very important. If it rains? What will be do then?"

"We will have a white tent inc-"

"Really Abram must you always speak for her?" KAthrine cut him short..

Josephine had walked down the stairs just as Abram walked out with his food in his hands. Instinctively, her hands went to her dress and she straightened it out, making sure she looked half way decent in front of him. When she reached the last step, their eyes met and she smiled softly at him. She wanted to giggle at Katherine's reaction to how Abram was dressed, turning her head to hide the so obvious smile. Josie walked up next to Katherine just in time for her eyes to be covered."Oh"She chirped, surprised but then she smiled as Katherine explained her actions."It's really unnecessary to cover my eyes Katherine, I think Abram has... Has a lovely body."She commented, smiling at him and then looking to Katherine. "Don't dress too properly now"She chimed in, blushing little and looking down at her hands until he mentioned their wedding. The way he explained her dream wedding made her heart speed up, her lips parted as she looked up at him just as he was staring at her.

So this was what love felt like, she finally knew why she was meant to stay here. Because she would be in love, she would fall in love with Abram. But then Katherine started to object and Josie looked to her, a look of concern across her face."My input is just want Abram has said, he is wanting to bring my dream wedding to life and I.. I am speechless. I love it, and yes the white tent strung with lanterns and lights will be the back up for if it starts to rain. Trust me Katherine, this wedding will be gorgeous."Josie clasped Katherine's hands in hers and smiled at her."Just have faith in me on this one okay?"She asked.

"Oh Josephine, begging already?"That voice cut through her like a knife. Josephine's eyes went huge as she let katherine go and she looked into the eyes of her mother."Mo.. What are you doing here?"Josie asked bravely, her eyes flicking to Abram's quickly before looking back at her mother."I've come to take my daughter back to where she belongs."Her mother explained and took a step closer."No, I don't belong there anymore, I belong here.. With my fiancé."She added, backing away to Abram as her arms wrapped around his bare waist tightly. But her mother obviously had regained more confidence as she moved closer to her."No, you see, we have found a better offer from a much richer family. You'll marry prince George of Whales."Her mother declared, happy with herself.

Josephine was horrified and she shook her head, looking up at Abram."I will not marry the Whales guy mother, I am marrying Abram whether you like it or not."Josephine said strongly, looking back at her mother who was smirking."Wrong answer."Was all she said as she flicked her hand and a stream of guards rushed i straight at her."No! Abram! Abram don't let go!"Josephine shrieked as she was pulled away from him.'I love you' she mouthed to him as tears streaked her face as she was whisked away kicking and screaming until her mother knocked her out before they got into the carriage.

(PLOT TWISTTTTT)

Abram's smile grew wider as he heard her compliment his body. Happy that she was satisfied with what she saw. His heart was beating through his chest as he stared into the face of the woman that would be his wife, her longing eyes assuring him that she was feeling what he was. A rush of sudden emotion. He wanted her to always be happy. He listened carefully as Josie explained to his Mother the dreams she had and how Abram was bring her dreams to a reality. He saw his mother almost swoon, her cheeks red and smile so wide, a hand to her cheek. She was happy too, to hear such a declatration.

"Just have faith in me on this one okay?"

"How Rom-

"Oh Josephine, begging already?"

The mood went sour, sinking faster then a shit hitting a reef. Abram's once happy warm eyes went cold, eyes narrowed to concentrate on the voice. Josephine's mother.. He grit his teeth.

"I thought I made it perfectly clear not to return here?" Abram spat, making his way slowly closer to Josephine.

"I've come back to take my daughter back where she belongs.."

Before the words could come out of Abram's mouth, Josephine said it for him, coming closer to his body, he felt her arms snake around his waist , his arm instictivly went over her shoulder, standing taller his demenor threatened anyone who dared. He listened closely as her mother practically laughed. Bragging out loud about the riches and status of a prospective new husband. More money? A prince? Whales? A European? Abram's pride was slightly wounded..In Russia he was the elite..but he couldn't compete with a prince. His threatening face started to waiver a little. He looked to Josephine who held her ground. She didn't care about the title...She wanted to be here with him right?

"Rene... Please! Stop this! They're happy now. Your daughter will marry Abram, and Abram will feed your account! Isn't that what you agreed on when you left this estate ? " Kathrine's face was burning red, her American accent booming through out the entire estate. "You come here to drag her for Europe? She will not be happy there!"

Josephine's mother all but ignored Kathrine. Kathrine was mortified, being pulled back by Clarie as guards began to file into the main lobby. Watching as the guards charged, Abram gripped the side of Josephine's arm protectively. The guards pushed and rammed Abram. His temper rising as his mind tried to calculate the best form of action. He couldn't concentrate, his heart aching at the sound of Josephine's plead as they tried to rip her away from him and his mother's scream and she ordered Rene for them to stop. Kathrine's eyes were tearing.

Abram felt the crack of a fist connect with his jaw. Staggering back and instinctivly putting his guard up, it gave them the perfect oppurtuinty to snatch Josephine from him.

"Let her go!!" He roared as he began to fight back , grabbing soldiers by their wrists as they tried t land punches on him he sent them flying with their own weight behind him, slectivly kicking them with a force that would send their helmets flying like a soccer ball. Abram punched from all directions as swift as he could before they all tried to pile on to him, growing up with brothers 2 or four would have been no problem but he knew soon their be more.

"Abram!" He heard Josephine call before a swift blow from her mother sent his blood cold and his movements still. allowing the guards to hold him still. JOsephine's body hung lifeless on the guards shoulder. He couldn't belive it...Nothing he could do would keep her here. He could...lie? A child.. She's baring a child? It was too sudden...

"Renne!" Abram almost yelped, her soldier's landed a blow to the back of his head. "Please one request..."

He watched as she turned her head, an eyebrow arched.

"A wedding gift..." Abram said through grit teeth, he heard his mother gasp at the thought that Abram had given up, her sobs came. "Let me give Josephine my butler... Resnov. " Abram almost begged, if he couldn't be near her to protect her now, he knew Renov would do anything to make sure she was safe and had an open line of communication with Abram. Abram would get her back, even if she was married, he's cause a scandal... Josephine already agreed to be his.

"Very well, very well now stop looking so pitiful Abram. I just saved you from a life time of being annoyed and angered by my daughter."Renee smiled as she started to make her way outside."Send this butler to the estate immediately."She said before leaving with her guards in tow behind her."Put that girl in the back will you? She'll have to stay chained because, well I know my daughter."Renee said loudly and then got into her carriage as they all drove off, Josephine in the last carriage.

Resnov was watching everything unfold and his jaw dropped,"I.. Master Abram are you alright?"He rushed to help Abram up into a standing position."I think I understand what your plan is here sir. You want me to protect Josephine from her parents right? But where do you come in? Surely you're going to save her before this horrid wedding to this whales guy."He spoke not like himself, he was too enraged with everything to keep his manners. He looked back at Katherine and rushed to her,"We will get Josephine back and this wedding will happen I assure you."He consoled her quietly. But then an idea popped into his head,"Abram, I think I might have a plan. I will go to that estate and keep Josephine safe, and on the night before the wedding, you sneak yo her chambers and get her. She already knows how to climb out of a window."He suggested, liking his plan and feeling a little proud of himself.

A week had passed, her mother had given her sleeping pills so she wouldn't wake up. Josephine finally opened her eyes slowly, trying to rub her eyes so she could see better but her hands wouldn't move. They were chained to the wall like she was some animal. Her mother had put her in the dungeons because she didn't trust her. Josie looked to her feet but they were chained too. This time her mother went too far on this. Her stomach growled and she hung her head low, she thought over what had happened carefully. Abram.. Oh was he alright? Panic seized through her as the horrible thoughts rushed through her head. She loved him, he was the one that she had had dreams about as a little girl. Her prince. There was a rattling of the door and then a man came into the room,"Stay away from me."Josephine whispered, her throat sore as she tried her best to move from the stranger.

"Josephine?"It was Resnov, and she couldn't believe it."Resnov? What.. What are you doing here?"Josie gasped as her eyes locked onto his. Resnov smiled and dropped to his knees by her."Oh Ms Josephine I am relieved to see that you are awake. You have been practically unconscious for a week now. Your mother wouldn't let me feed you either."He explained and Josephine became horrified, so that explained the weak feeling all throughout her body."Abram.."Josie whispered, looking into his eyes."How is he?"She asked eagerly wanting to know. Resnov nodded,"He is of course not okay but I have a plan. This wedding sham is to be held tomorrow, and if Abram remembers then he will be coming here tonight to rescue you."He said with a smile. It was too good to be true, Josephine looked away and at her bloody wrists and ankles. She probably looked like a skeleton by now."I... He'll be killed."She shook her head just as the door opened and Resnov was taken away to do god knows what for the wedding.

Abram had spent the last week in his bed chambers, under the covers he replayed the entire ordeal in his brain. His eyes were blood shot, anger still seering in his blood, he could only replay the way they just ripped her from his grasp. How Renne had hit her... If he could kill the woman he would.. but his main priority was to get Josephine back.

The first day they had taken her was one of the worst. His mother cried most of the day and the servents were frazzled. He couldn't grasp his mind around how to get her back, frantically pacing for hours, he refused food, rest, anything. It was Resnov who placed a hand on his shoulder shortly before his departure.

"We'll bring her back..." He reassured, and those words strung through out his brain every second of a minute. He replayed the plan into his brain. The day of the wedding which was announced after they had taken JOsephine was to be held at Russian estate not too far from Moscow. Abram growled as he recalled Resnov being sent back with an 'invation' to the royal wedding. If he were to show up, it'd be anything but a celebration. He would burn down the castle walls... What was this feeling?

With a sigh Abram willed his blood to cool. He rubbed the back of his stiff neck and pulled the covers off of his face, sitting up he slumped over his legs. He took in fresh air. He knew what the plan was today but to actually execute it would be the challenge. Could he slip into the estate and snatch her off her feet? Would she be angry that he had let her go so easily? He pray that Resnov would inform her of the plan. To ease her mind that Abram hadn't given up. Simply taking Josephine away wouldn't solve the problem...Abram thought. What could be done to stop Renne from coming after her. A wedding. He would be his wife and Renne would no longer have say.

The night before Abram sat with his mother at dinner she talked breifly as she ate, she was as depressed as he but she had continue to make plans for the wedding as usual.

"If you return her tomorrow Abram, we need to make your proposal hasty and public," She took a sip of her wine.

"I wanted to make it special for her,"

"The most special thing you can do is get her away from that horrible woman..."

"I will.."

"And I will insure this is made public.." Kathrine sighed and fiddled with her fork. "I will arrange the ball for the day after tomorrow...everything has to be timely, meaning you have to get her back to our estate...I just fear one thing.."

"You fear? What is there to fear?"

"Her well being...I've recieved a letter from Resnov.." KAthrine hesitated. Abram's attention shot from his plate looking at his mother in disbelief.

"Well? What did he say?"

"Oh Abram..." Her eyes started to tear. "I don't understand why they are so cruel. He says she's chained..in a fiflthy chamber! What kind of husband would allow this? And that she is small and fraigle..I fear they haven't been feeding her.."

Abram couldn't speak, imagining her in that discription made his blood jump from cold to hot to cold again. His stomach churned, looking at his food he thought he could almost throw up. Slamming down his fork he stood abruptly.

"Excuse me." He excused himself from his mother, who looked at him stunned by his abrupt outburst. She let the hand on her chest slip down to her lap and nod in understanding.

Abram had stood from his bed and began to get dressed. Dark pants, dark shirt, dark gloves. He threw over his cloak. Looking in the mirror he imagined himself a theif. Pulling the hood over his head his face was concealed. Everyone would be busy attending the wedding. He knew they would bring Josephine to the room Resnov had told him about where they would change her for her ceremony. Resnov had promised, he would keep three candles burning at the window sill...that would be her room.

Leaivng his room, he took a left instead of a right, going further from the grand stairs, he was taking the back way to the stables. Opening a door that led to the stairs pssage he began to walk down the spiral, his blood pumping in his veins, he was more excited to finally see her again.. At the end of the stairs another man waited.

"Edgar? Where is Imand?"

"Sir," The servant boy bowed slightly. "I've taken the liberty to visit your laboratory like you had requested." From under his jacket he pulled out a belt strap. Lining the straps securly daggers and darts were secured. "I've also laced them with your potion... I must say it is quite effective.. " The servent boy chuckled.

"Effective?"

"Let's say Imand is of the clumsiy sort, he scratched his finger against the dagger..it sent him reeling into uncontrolable sleep."

"Well the tranqualizer does it's job...it's ment to take down African elephants." Abram couldn't help but smile as he secured the belt to his waist. Another one of his projects had become of use to him.

"Well with that said sir, please take extreme caution.."

"Yes, Thank you is Armagedon ready?" Abram adjusted his glasses,

"Yes. This way." Edgar led him down the muddy stables to a tall dark brown hourse. He was the strongest in the stables, fast and poised.

"Then I'll be on my way...Let everyone know to be ready for our return..."

There was creaks and moans from the floorboards over her that signaled there were people moving about. She wondered what people were doing, eating? Walking and eating? Eating.. Josephine hadn't had food in a little over a week now. She was starving and sick to her stomach all at the same time. Her head hung low as she remembered what a Resnov told her, that Abram was planning on saving her tonight. That was impossible, her mother probably had the place surrounded and guarded so much that a fly couldn't even get through. Her stomach twisted and turned just at the thought of Abram being captured, or worse even killed. The sound of the door opening made her lift her head a little, she didn't have the strength to move her head much. Her mother's footsteps rang through the dungeon, her father in tow behind her with a set of keys."Alright Alright little lady it is time to move you to your bed chambers where you will have your rest."

Her father walked up to her and silently unlocked the shackles, once they were all unlocked Josephine collapsed onto the ground. She was too weak to stand on her two feet so her father scooped her up."Food."Josie whispered but her mother shook her head."You will eat after the wedding ceremony."Her mother glared as she walked ahead of them to open the doors."I hope I starve out before the wedding, I'd rather die then marry someone I don't love."Josephine spat at her mother who turned to look at her.

"Isn't this your previous situation? You were going to marry Abram, a stranger just like George. Why is Abram so different? Why'd you stay there?" Her mother demanded, getting closer. Josephine stared into her mothers eyes,"Because I love him."She whispered, meaning every word."I love him and he loves me."She finished, looking away from her as her mother scoffed and kept walking down the hall."Here is your room."She said finally, unlocking a door and walking inside. Josephine looked around and it seemed to be just like her old room, but there were three candles lit on the window sill."That's weird, I didn't put those candles there."Her mother commented but then shook it off.

Her father put her into the bed but she wasn't comfortable for very long as her mother chained both of her hands to the bed, her already cut wrists burning.

Abram had abandoned Armogeden in the forest. Securing his reins to a tree branch in a clearing. He would need him to be ready for a quick escape. Weaving through the back yard of the estate that was covered in trees, he couldn't help his palms from sweating. The last time Abram had broken into any place as grand as this one was with his brother's to steal sweets just for the thrill. Then it was easy for them with three but at this time it was only him and he couldn't help but feel unsettled.

He began to think of Josephine. Abram knew Resnov wouldn't lie about her condition and he even emphazised in the letter to KAthrine that for her 'any place would be better then here' but after she married this prince surely her life would have to take a turn for the better path? And if it didn't how could Abram assure Josephine wouldn't be taken from him again? Was anywhere safe for her? He shook his head at the thought of abandoning everything and going home. He adjusted the cloak further over his head and raised a black scarf over his mouth and nose to further hide his identity. It also aided in stopping his hot breathing from appearing in the cold night air. If he wasn't so hyped on adrealine he'd swear he would freeze out here.

Abram reached the back side of the castle, the last point to conceal him was a large bush possibly 10 feet from the castle itself. He lay on his stomach and crawled up under it, making sure his body was at least a few inches from the ground in case he had to jump up and sprint. He assessed the surrounding. 2 Guards stood at the back entrance he guessed their would be two more inside, and two at every exit including her door... Resnov had probably not thought this out clearing enough. Like the doctor he was he reached into his pocket. Pulling out a pen and paper he began to scribble drawings and possibilites. His brow began to sweat. In every scenario they would run the risk of being spotted. His heart began to race.

"Think Abram," HE encouraged himself as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. He looked to the castle again. Letting his eyes roam to the top on the 3rd floor he saw the 3 candles and his breath caught in his throat. She was right behind this wall, just a few fet away from him. He could just climb up and snatch her. Climb. Abram's eye grew wide, under the mask a wider smile. He began to jot down altitudes and weights, probablities. It was still very risky but it minized the exposure to people he had to get through. At this time he just had to worry about the two in the back. He could throw a dagger at them from this distance, but risk the chance of missing or killing them...And if he got one but missed another, he'd risk not getting the second one in time before he alerted the others..

"Crap..." He rubbed his head roughly, then re adjusted the cloak. "A distraction...lure them over..." He searched the ground for rocks, pebbles, sticks, he rustled in the bushes catching the guards attention.

"What's that?"

"Go check it out, wave if you need my help..."

"Alright." The guard adjusted his helmet, holding the handle of his gun at his waist, his sword on the other side clanked along his side. Approaching the bush he looked around but didn't see anything, he heard the rustling in a bush 1 foot away fromhim. "Who's the-" The soldier felt a dagger stab into the side of his thigh, staring down quickly he saw a cloaked figure bent on one knee, a dagger implaled into his thigh , his body felt heavy, woozy, he instictively pulled his hand up, signaling the other soldier for help before he could barely stand and went down like the dead itself.

Before Abram could gain his compsure the other soldier was charging over. At this rate is he got closer to see he would alert the other immedietly. Abram did what first came to mind, pulling down his mask with one hand, his other hand work to pull a dart and his shooting tool. Fumbling a bit he cursed and regained his compsure, when he looked up the soldier couldn't be in a better position. He shot. The soldier stopped in his track, reaching for the side of his neck to feel the dart before he went crashing down into sleep infront of Abram.

Abram let his head fall and sighed, finally breathing, he thought he would die holding his breath so long. After a moment he looked up to the room. Now for the real challenge. Pulling up his mask and jumping to his feet he ran to the castle side under the room, feling the stones with his gloved hands, he thank god they were uneven and jagged with some stones in, some out. Perfect to climb . He began his feat. In moments he'd be near her again.

Josephine was tired of hearing her stomach moan and groan. She was starting to get light headed and knew that there wasn't that much time until she completely passed out. Her body was aching. There was a commotion outside suddenly and Josephine tried to move her head but her body wouldn't respond. So she just thought what the commotion might be. Was it Abram? Was Resnov really right when he said Abram was coming for her? A shred of hope rushed through her as she thought of Abram coming through the window and scooping her up. Then there was rustling at the window,"Hello..?"Her voice was raspy and unknown as she sort of moved her head towards the window.

Abram was sweating bullets, he thought he was in great physical shape until he took up thi challenge, he was sure if it was the movemnts or the thought of sudden death if he were to slip and fall. His brething was hard and hot against his face with the mask covering, he continued to scale the wall grunting and clenching to every stone for dear life. When he reached the window he hauled his arm over it.

Three candles. He counted again.

Holding his weight on his arm he pulled himself up to peer into the room. Everything was dark and silent, no movement. Was she really here. Then he heard her.

"Hello?" Her voice was raspy weak, it made his heart clench, he wasn't sure if he was prepare for what he was about to see.

"Josephine..." He whispered and half grunted as he tried pulling himself up the window sill and slipped. Catching himself with one arm. His entire body trembled as he looked down at the height. He almost died.. Grunting and clenching his teeth he used all the strength in his body to pull himself up again, throwing his other hand to the window sill, he hauled his body up.

For a moment he caught his breath. Opening the window the candles were knocked down. He closed it behind him to no cause a suspision. Turning from the window he immeditely stopped in his tracks.

Abram couldn't believe his eyes, she was chained. Skin and bones, bloodied wrist, how long had she been fighting to escape and where was Resnov?! He couldn't move, he just stared, a lump in his throat under the mask his teeth were grinding, his eyes gleaming holding back the tears of anger and regret.

"Josephine..." Was all he could say, taking small steps towards her. "We have to leave..." The way he said leave was different, it was almost as if he meant Russia all together.

His voice was so foreign, so weird and surreal."Ab..Abram?"She struggled for words as her hands moved a little, trying to move but it was no use. "Abram she'll kill you if she knows you're here, with me."She added, wanting him closer. When he said her name, everything felt okay for a couple seconds, he was here."You came.."She whispered, attempting to smile but her lips were too chapped and bloodied to move them into a smile. Then he said that they had to leave and she carefully moved her head to look at him."I have no clue where she hid the key though, unless you have something to break these shackles off of me."She explained, looking at her poor bloodied wrists and ankles. Josephine bit her bottom lip and pulled down with her hands, trying to slip out but she yelped from the pain and stopped, her breathing ragged she was getting herself worked up over it.

"She'll be back soon, she always comes down here and eats her food.. Explaining to me the life that I would have had if I had just behaved myself my whole life."She explained, going limp as she licked her cracked lips.

"She just wants me miserable. I'm scared that if you do some how get me out of here, she will come after us again.."She feared, a couple remaining tears ran down her cheeks as she shook her head."All I want is... Is to be with you."She admitted, and for the first time everything just felt right. The minute she said those words, she had a little hope. The door creaked open and her eyes went huge,"Hide!"She whispered to Abram as someone came down the stairs.

It was Resnov,"Oh you're here!"He hugged Abram but then went straight to Josephine."Your mother has had way too many drinks at her dinner party upstairs and she gave me the keys."He explained as he quickly unlocked her shackles. Resnov didn't think everything through so when he unlocked her, Josephine collapsed onto the ground in a heap. She couldn't move a muscle,"I.. I can't"She whispered, shaking her head as she started to shake.

Abram had stood beside her , his eyes full of concern and his face still covered. She could see the tears welding as she continued to talk and confess her feelings for him.

"Let her come again... She will not get pass the gates .." His voice was deep and stern. He heard the door open and quickly he grabbed for a dagger. When the door opened her hauled it over his head ready to be released before her saw Resnov pick his head up from the door.

"Oh! You're here!" He sounded surprised and relieved all at the same time, giving Abram an old fashioned Russia. Bear hug. Abramthen finally out his arm down giving a sigh if relief he returned the hug.

"Of course I'm here... Can you help her ?"

When Resnov had presented the key to unlatch her Abram's eyes went wide.

"Great! Lets get this moving man!" He shoved Resnov to Josephine, wen she tried to stand , Abram saw her collapse and quickly went to her aid .

"Josephine, love.. We must hurry... You can eat and rest at home .. My mother has hired our guards you will be safe until our wedding next week.. "

Abram raised her in his arms , his clothes was wet a sticky but that didn't matter he pressed her to his chest and buried his face into her hair. He missed how her hair felt against his face .

"I've missed you... Now please hold on to me so we can go. I need you to hold on.. We are extremely high but I will climb down fast ... "

Abram climbed the window sill, cradling Josephine.

"Can you hold on to me?"

Her face had connected with the ground hard but she couldn't lift her head up at all. She heard Resnov curse under his breath when she fell but it wasn't him who came to her side."Abram"She whispered as she was scooped up into his arms, she opened her eyes to look at him in his mask."You're so handsome."She whispered, cradling against him more as she did as she was told. Her now super thin arms wrapped around his neck as tightly as she could manage and she pressed her face against his neck, closing her eyes again."I thought I would never see you again." She whispered, tears welling up in her eyes again as she felt the wind against her bare skin, knowing that they were by the window now."I have missed you more.."She added, placing the tiniest of kisses against his neck as she braced herself.

Even though she jumped out of Abrams estate, heights weren't her thing. She she kept her eyes shut the whole climb down. Her hands were shaking as she gripped them tightly."I'm surprised she hasn't figured it out yet.."She said in his ear, referring to her mother. When she did find out though, her anger will be furious, Josie started to worry."I don't want to put you and Katherine in so much danger.. I'm sorry."She whispered, shaking her head as her eyes opened and she adjusted so she could at least see one of his eyes.

Abram pressed his hands to her wrapped ones, assuring that she was secured properly before he opened the window.

"I wouldn't leave you here even if you were married. I'd scale this castle eery night if I had to.. "

He positioned himself on the window, because he had to scale down backward she was out did the window first, a gust of wind blowing in their face.

"Don't be scared , just keep talking to me. " His voice sounded strain, not that she weighed too much but his weight and hers an trying to keep his balance and tryin to grip the stone it was working every muscle he had and te ones he didn't know he had as well.

"We're moving..." He whispered S he started to climb down the wall , stone by stone he was careful where he placed his feet and hands while a the same time trying to move at a quick pace. His breathing was hoarse .

"I'm surprised she hasn't figured it out yet, I don't want to put you and Kathrine in so much danger, I'm sorry."

Abram stopped , taking a few breaths before he turned to meet her gaze.

"We do this ecause we care about you, let her come I said... We will be ready this time. "

Abram continued down the side the castle, he was already about a little less then te second floor .

"Alright almos-crap!"

Abrams right foot slipped from under him causing his entire body to slip down a few stones he tried desperately to latch on to any other stone but his fingers could not grasp, his body was falling from the second floor , he could hear his blood thumping in his head . With quick reflexes he had grabbed for Josephine , pulling her infront of him he cradled her from the fall into a ball.

Crack.

Abram's body contacted with the ground a snap sent his body propelling forward , his arms snapping open from the force, blood spewed out of mouth with a gasp.

When they started to move, scaling down the wall she was on high alert. What if they fell? She was tense all over as her grip tightened on him every second. She focussed on his breathing and what he was saying, responding as much as possible. But when he suddenly lost his grip and they almost fell, she screamed and found new strength. She held on tighter, pressing her face against his neck and closing her eyes."If we fall to our death right now, just know that I.. I love you."She said quickly and then they actually were falling and she didn't have time to scream or do anything because the ground came quick. She was propelled off of him and her shoulder hit the ground and she heard a crack. Her yelp was loud but quick, she didn't want to get anyone's attention. She rolled, her hand clutching her shoulder as she lay in the grass now, away from Abram completely.

When she had gotten a hold of herself, she found the strength to lift her head."Abram?"She whispered, then saw him and saw the blood."Abram!" She said a little louder. With all of her might, she stood up and stumbled over to him. She collapsed against him slowly."No no no, Abram"She shook her head, the tears coming as she cradled his head in her lap."Come on you have to wake up and we have to go. Abram!"She said hectically, looking around."Please, I need you."She whispered, kissing his forehead lightly."You still have to propose to me.."She added for comical effect. "And you have to marry me so you can realize that I am just so annoying."She added, joking of course.

Abram continued to choke up the blood, his brain frazzled, he was in and out of consiousness for a moment, hearing Josephine in the distance and then closer, and then farther away again. Where was she? Was she okay? He felt her hands cradle his spinning head, resting them on her knees. "Abram!" She screamed and she continued to talk to him , her words were muffled in his ears. He felt her kisses and again he heard her scream for him. His lungs took in air again, a painful stab to his right side that made his eyes snap open.

"I'm alright..." He whispered, though his entire body was begging to just stay where it was, he moved a hand to rub her cheek. "Calm down, I'm O-gah.." He whinced in paid, gripping his right side, he bit his tongue from howling out. "We have to get moving Josephine..." His breathing was heavy. "Can you walk?" His brow was sweating, he looked at her concerned.

When he finally spoke, a sigh of relief slipped through her lips and she kissed his forehead again."Thank goodness."She whispered, staring into his now open eyes. When he winced, she looked at his chest, seeing blood."Oh Abram.. Will you be alright?"She asked, knowing that his rib must be broken."Don't worry about me okay? Lets just get you up."She said, finding her strength as she carefully stood and helped him up."Oh not that shoulder, pretty sure its broken."She adjusted him a little so he was leaning against her good shoulder as they slowly started hobbling there way farther from her insane mother."Lets never fall, or climb out of windows okay? My frail bones can't take these impacts."She shook her head, seeing a horse tied up in the trees."I'm guessing thats your horse, will you be alright to ride it?"She asked, only stopping when there was a tree for him to lean on, close the the horse.

Abram's breathing was ragged, he was sweating from the pain and leaned against the tree once they saw Armagedon in the clearing.

"I'm guessing that's your horse, will you be alright to ride it?"

"We have no choice do we?" He said in a bland manner, giving her a weak smile. He whistled loudy and the horse gave him his attention. "Let's hurry." Abram pushed off the tree with a grunt. Holding one arm around his side, he placed another behind the small of Josephine's back, he wouldn't let his contact slip from her for the fear someone would snatch her up.

When they reached Armagedon, the horse neighed at his masters apperance , Abram let out a small gasp of air he was holding in to bare with the pain. He rubbed down the horse's mane. He untied the not quickly, clenching his teeth to bare with the pain, he could feel his adrenaline rushing.

"Come now, " He motioned for Josephine to give him her hand, when she did he stabled the horse, grabbing her side with his bloody hand, he sucked in air and hauled her onto the horse.

"Crap..." His cursed , his arm going back around his side. "You're right, no more windows..." He looked up at her with a weak smile, trying not to cause alarm.

Abram grabbed the saddle of the horse, he brought one leg up and swung the other around. He grunted from the pain, Josephine cradled between his arms, he collapsed his head between her shoulder and neck, breathing hard and catching his breath, his knuckles were white on the reins.

"Sorry..."
