In the city of Thalassia, your rank in the military equates your social standing. Many are unable and unwilling to suffer the degradation that the average rank and file soldier faces, but those who gladly serve are well rewarded; that, or you can try to game the system.
But a rebellion needs more than warriors. It needs leaders, it needs backers, it needs the support of the common people, too: The seeds of discord have already been sown. All it would take now is an army, no, a society bold and daring enough to challenge the regime.
