Had Scott not been leaning on his leg, he would have fallen straight off the bed in shock at A.J.'s words. He had not been expecting that at all. He could feel his heart racing at the compliment. "That was actually kind of cute, but in a really hilarious, socially stupid way." Canto laughed internally, gkearly drawing immense pleasure from the whole situation, including the fact that Scott's face had reddened significantly. "Oh ypu are so screwed with this one. You've fallen for him so damn hard." it was hard to tell, but there seemed to be no malice in Encanto's voice. For once in his life, Scott got the feeling that his other half actually agreed with him and supported him.

Maybe it was that show of support from his other half that gave him the courage to say it. Or maybe it was something else. "So.... we're either both going to look drop dead gorgeous or we'll both look completly hideous? I can live with that. And besides it's not like you aren't already good looking in your regular gear, even with the majority of a garage in your pockets."

After class Kurt returned to his room he looked around his were still the only bags here but that didn't really bother him. He looked at the dance flyer. He started to get ready, he pulled on his suit and his bowtie. He couldn't say he wasn't nervous about going but he was gonna do it and without his cloak.

A.J. was going to speak and try to rectify the situation, but it would be far more likely that by speaking he would just have managed to make things even worse. He'd probably have ended up stammering something ridiculous and either a) insulting Scott or b) blurting out how he felt there and then. But Scott got there first.

A.J. had to mentally check that he had even heard his roommate right. Had Scott just implied that he found A.J. good looking? It really did seem that way, but then again maybe A.J. had vapourised himself into another dimension with embrassment and this was all an illusion. "I say the first option, the one where everyone just drops dead at our hotness. And besides,I don't carry that much around with me." He sounded kind of embarassed when he spoke, and he was blushing too.

Scott stopped blushing and glanced over at his roommate, only to realise that A.J. had been blushing too. He looked far too adorable blushing. Scott had to try not to stare, which wasn't easy. "You totallly do. You carry a welding torch around everyday in your schoolbag!"

He stood up and went over to the wardrobe where he was keeping the suit. "I'm going to get changed for this stupid dance now." He told A.J.

Elliott changed into the suit had aquired for the dance. He caught a glance of himself in the mirror and smiled slightly. He shrugged off the suit jacket and put on the trenchcoat instead. He took a picture of himself and sent it to John with the caption "This is why I don't go to dances. If I go like this, I bet Batsy'll have a heart attack."

After that he grabbed his bike keys and jacket he climbed out the room and onto the roof where he would wait out the rest of the time until the dance.

He couldn't deny that, to most it would seem unnecessary, but for A.J. it was a habit. He'd done it once and it had stuck. "Okay you got me there. I really can't deny it." There was a smile on his face as he said it.

"I'll do the same then." He grabbed his suit from the wardrobe and headed to get changed. When he was finished he sat on the bed waiting for Scott, adjusting the tie constantly, not quite happy with it.
