Elliott took the timetable and dorm key, shoving the latter into his coat pocket. He glanced briefly at the timetable, noting his next class before putting it into the pocket too.
It was then that he became aware of the smaller girl standing near him. Like Elliott she wasn't human, but unlike Elliott she didnt seem to understand a thing that was going on. It seemed to be a language barrier thing. The look of helpless panic on her face reminded Elliott of himself far too much for his liking.
He'd probabaly worn that same expression when he crashed on earth. The language barrier was something Elliott had also faced. He'd only known Attilani, so communication had been an issue. He could empathise with the girl and knew that Clint didn't even have to ask him to help, his mind was already made up, he knew what he was going to do.
There was indeed a spell that he could do. He knew it well, it had been the first spell John had performed on him, and he had learned to self administer it during his earlier years on earth. He hadn't had to perform it at least three years, his language skills having grown exponentially since his first day on Earth.
He turned to Clint, completely ignoring the presence of Jason "I do in this case know a spell, but a word of advice, there isn't always a magical solution to every problem the universe invents. He turned to Aia "I don't know how much of this you understand, but what I'm about to do will hurt slightly."
"Here goes nothing" he muttered to himself in Attilani, the language that came to him more fluidly then he would like it to. He often found himself lapsing into it by accident, even though he wanted to scourge all things related to home planet from his mind, he couldn't forget the language.
He pressed the tips of the fingers on his left hand to her forhead, creating a sigil shape with the fingers of his right. His eyes took on a blue tint as he spoke the worda of the incantation. A surge of power passed through his fingertips and into Aia's head, causing a sharp pain to shoot across her forehead. The energy targeted her language centres, temporarily expanding them along with her abilities to interpret language. The spell tapped into the enourmous potential of the unconscious mind, which already recognised that people were speaking and gave it just enough of a boost to actually translate the language.
Elliott removed his hand and stepped back, his eyes fading. "the effects should last for maybe seven hours max. Aftr that I either have to redo it or we find some kind of translating tech"

(This was alittle longer than intended)
