"I get hurt all the time, totally used to it!" She winked at Gwen, trying to reassure her. Harley was bad, but she liked to think she had some good in herself.

"'Sides, I ain't finished with 'em yet!" She said confidently, but when she tried to stand she gave a small yelp in pain and shot back on the ground again, giving Wade a petulant, childlike look of anger.

"This ain't ovah yet show off!" She cried, pointing an accusatory finger at him. She absolutely hated losing.

(Awe! I love the phrase "good boy/ good girl when talking about pets. It makes my little heart melt with happiness)

"You wanna stop at your smashed leg?" He asked leaning over her, "It shouldn't be broken, but it will definitely smart for a few days.' He said poking it lighty. "You wanna play human whack-a-mole too Girl Spider?" He asked putting his hammers away and pulling he bloody knife out of his back. He wiped it on his suit and gave it back to Harleen. "That's a nice knife." He also handed her one of his lighter hammers along with her knife. "You should try this out for a change." He said cheerfully.

Gwen lifted Harley up, and shot a web to where they were at just 15 minutes ago. “I can fix that. and no thank you.” She said before taking off.

"Oh." was all she managed to get out. She couldn't remember a time anyone had called her a friend before. For the first time since coming to high school, she was at a loss for words.

"Well.. thanks I guess," She offered awkwardly, "You're my friend too!" She smiled at her. Harley leaned against the side of the building, resting her hurt leg.
