Long ago on a planet known as Gaia, there was a war. A war between Kronos, a powerful, tyrannical warlord who desired complete control over the planet, and the six goddesses, Hestia, Hecate, Artemis, Aphrodite, Athena, and Demeter, who were protectors of the people of Gaia and wished to keep them safe from Kronos' brutal reign. In the end the only way the goddesses were able to stop Kronos was by sacrificing their own lives to seal him away in Tartarus, one of Gaia's two moons (the other bring Ouranos). Before they sacrificed themselves, however, the goddesses put some of their powers into a crystal that would choose the next set of goddesses in times of need.

Centuries later, Kronos returned. He had broken out of his prison and was more powerful than ever. His first order of business was to send one of his minions, the Minotaur, to the citadel where the Goddess Crystal was kept and destroy it. Before the Minotaur could reach the citadel, however, the Crystal's guardian, an ethereal Pegasus named Stratosphere, grabbed the crystal and blasted off into space, hoping to get the Crystal to the Parthenon, a space station far away from Gaia where he could hide the Crystal.

Unfortunately, on his way to the Parthenon, Stratosphere ran into an asteroid, injuring his wings and sending him wildly off course. This caused him to crash land on earth in the backyard of a house where a group of six friends just happened to be hanging out. When these friends went out to investigate the crash the Goddess Crystal blasted them with light and selected them as the next set of Goddesses. After defeating the Minotaur, which had followed Stratosphere to earth, Stratosphere explained the situation to the teens. About how they were the new goddesses and they had to stop Kronos. There were only three problems:

1. Stratosphere didn't know how to get back to Gaia, as even if his wing wasn't broken he couldn't carry all six of them on his back).
2. Kronos knew where they were now and would be sending his monsters after them.
3. Earth just so happened to be the planet where many of Gaia's enemies were banished by the goddesses and if they found out there were new goddesses they would surely try to track them down and kill them in revenge.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Stratosphere, there was actually a fourth problem: The Minotaur had been followed by one of Kronos' best agents, the witch Circe, who, upon witnessing the new goddesses, scattered additional crystals containing the power of other gods and goddesses defeated by Kronos and his army in the past in order to cause chaos.

GM Note: Alola, Poyo. How's it going my friends, enemies, and frenemies. Tis I, BackSet, coming at you with a brand new reboot (boy I sure do make a lot of these)! This time it's of my old Magical Goddess Girls RP which is based on a TV Show I plan to make in the future (don't worry, I won't include your character. I'm not a plagiarist. The show will probably end up being radically different from the RP anyways).

Anyways, in this RP you will be taking on the role of one of six goddesses (with additional roles of the god or goddess of your choice being available after all six goddess roles are filled). Roles are first come first serve except for Aphrodite who I've already claimed for myself.

Please note that regardless of your character's gender all goddess forms are female and all god forms are male. Biologically speaking. Obviously your character keeps their gender identity regardless of form (you know what, I'm gonna stop talking before I shove my foot up my mouth).

Also note that even with additional god and goddess roles being available I would like to keep the cast relatively small so that it's manageable so sign ups'll probably end earlier than usual for my rps.

And for those of you wondering: Yes that is the actual title. It's purposely long.

Alright, rules:
  • At least a paragraph. And no, a line and a sentence of dialogue don't count as a paragraph.
  • No taking over other people's characters.
  • No godmodding, powerplaying, or other such stupidity.
  • Don't use out of character knowledge in character.
  • Please use proper grammar and spelling. Please.
  • Make sure your post is readable. Especially if you're using BB Code.
  • On a similar note, make sure your CS is readable if you use BB Code. You are not getting accepted if I can't read your CS.
  • No real life photos for faceclaims please and thank you.
  • Don't be an ass. Just because your character's a cynical meanie doesn't mean you have to be.
  • Have fun and stay awesome!

If you happened to plan for more players past the initial 6,would you allow for divine forms related to other mythologies or are you planning to keep things Greco-Roman?

Hehe, oh well this is going to go absolutely flipping grand and now I know why I was really set on playing Persephone

If you're cool with a cast of 6+ people, I might like to join in as well.

I'm thinking I might play Aoide the muse of song, or Notus the south wind.

You know what screw it, I don't often do this but if you don't mind me doubling up, I'll take Demeter

And that's that. All six goddesses claimed in addition to a few extras. The RP is now closed to new joiners. Only thing left is that you two:

This seems fun and I would love to join if there's still room.
Have to decide which god(dess) you want to play.
