Just a note, all magical girls should be 15 at the start of the RP, as they all have yet to be activated! |
Yep~ I'm listening in to the conversations and stuff. I'm still working on my CS in my workshop, but it's almost done. By Monday though, at the latest, it should be finished.October said:@DreamBeat
It wouldn't be required, but it might help to keep up with everything.
@TheDragonMoon
I'm about to read your bio, honestly really excited to see how your character turned out But I had some issues with the tabs too when I first posted Michelle's bio, so I'll have a look at it and see if I can fix it for you!

Sexuality: Bisexual
Race/Ethnicity: Icelandic

Zodiac Sign: Taurus[/TAB]
[TAB=Mental Characteristics]Hobbies: Hiking/Exploring, Meditating, Writing (Especially blogging), Cross Country, Occasionally reading
Likes: Nature, Animals, Peace (like no war, she's fine with fights that are just entertainment (like boxing)), Wealth/Material Things, Being fancy, Flavorful food, Shopping, Hot springs, Green and black, Chatting, Pretty much anything romantic, and the feeling of accomplishment.
Dislikes: Hot weather, Chaos, TV, Being looked down up or told what to do, Math, Most popular music, Fire and the smell of smoke, Messes, Being alone, Unexpected changes/new things, and waking up early.
Talents: She is able to stay calm in even the most dire situations, and is generally very strong emotionally. Gúa is also naturally a good runner.
Ineptitude: At times, can let greed blind her from things that truly the most important in life. Very fixed and stubborn in her ways. She also tends to procrastinate on her homework, leading to her have around average grades.
Dreams: She desperately wants to become a major runner one of these days and compete world wide, perhaps beat a world record. Somehow, she also wants to change the world for better.
Fears: Is afraid that she'll never make it in big in athletics, making her poor in the end. And then, she'll have to rely on people to get back on her feet. Her other big fear is that she will never be able to find a romantic partner, although making friends is easy for her.
Secrets:
-On a few occasions, has actually sold drugs to get money for something she wanted.
-She often cheats on math tests.
-Obsessed with her beauty and looking perfect.
General Personality: The most important thing for Gúa is her independence. She hates to rely on people (although you can always rely on her) and never wants anybody to confine her. Following that, she never wants to been seen as a weak, helpless, distraught, and then given pity. Strong is the word that she wants people to think of when they think of her. Both physically and emotionally. Despite her appearance, she loves to talk and socialize people. The flip side to that is she can get worn out quickly and will often need some alone time to recharge. She definitely has a more quiet and thoughtful side, where she likes to meditate, take a lovely stroll, or write. Gúa is extremely loyal and is one of the best friends you could ever have. Although she can be a little too protective, Gúa always makes an effort to put a smile on whoever she is hanging out with at that moment. But with that being said, if you ever do anything unforgivable to her, she will never forget and will find a way to got revenge. She does not like her warm and kind attitude to ever be taken advantage of.
Gúa is the kind of person that can be lazy most of the time, but once something sparks her interest and she is able to set goals for herself to keep in mind, there will be no stopping her to achieve whatever it is. No matter how much time or work it takes to achieve it, she will be willing to give it her all. She is dogmatic in her way of thinking, so once she has her mind set on a belief, it's probably too late for you to try to change her view. One of her most important values besides loyalty and friendship is being wealthy. She wants to live a luxurious life pretty much above everything else. In the end, she is willing to quit her true passion (cross country), if it means that she can live that lifestyle. Related to that, Gúa is obsessed with having the prettiest clothing and the best of the best, no matter what she's buying. She really loves indulging herself with the good things in life, needless to say.
Within her is a great sense of inner peace and calmness she prides herself own. Although she can hold a lot of stress and be perfectly fine, there will be times where she completely bursts, going crazy with emotion until she calms down. Another weakness of Gúa's is that she has a hard time with thinking outside of the box. Instead, with her fixed mindset, she sees things based on her first instinct, and has a hard time breaking away from that. Lastly, she doesn't like to be bossed around too much and likes to be more of the dominant ones, or at least have a strong presence in the group. If the leader is good at what he/she does and allows Gúa to have her say, then there isn't much of a problem.[/TAB]
[TAB=Physical Characteristics]Height: 5'7"
Weight: 117 lbs
Hair: Black, goes down a little ways past her shoulders
Eyes: Dark brown
Distinguishing Mark(s):
-Her style of clothes stand out because of how expensive they tend to be.
-Has a long, thin, scar that runs on the back of her right arm. Came from when she climbed a tree when she was young and got her arm snagged.
-Gúa's eyes are very warm, similar to melted chocolate.
General Appearance: Gúa has a calm and relaxed aura almost all the time. She does look like more of an introvert than she actually is. Her clothing and general appearance tends to be very well put together, showing how much effort she puts into how she looks. She tends to wear a little too much make up. People will first notice her silky black hair, then perhaps her warm brown eyes and smile. Her stance might put off some people, the way she stands a little too proudly. It might be taken as being a brat. At five foot seven, she's taller than most girls, but not too noticeably. She's honestly a little too skinny for her parents. Gúa likes to wear darker and earthy colors the most, but will certainly wear other things. By her side almost everywhere, is her cloth handbag that looks adorable and that she treasures. She doesn't usually wear jewelry, but if she does, she'll be wearing a couple bracelets or simple emerald necklace.[/TAB]
[TAB=History]Gúa was born in the biggest city of Iceland, Reykjavik, to loving parents by the names of Hrafn and Svana. Her younger sister, Frida, was born a year and a half after Gúa. They lived in a decent sized house, practically in the middle of the city. Hrafn worked at a small fishing packaging factory, while Svana was a politician, hoping to one day run as mayor. Yes, her parents where busy a lot of the time, but they really did make an effort to make sure that Gúa and Frida were cared for with lots of love. Even when it cost a lot of money, they did their best to hire the nicest babysitter they could find around town. One of her Gúa's fondest memories is her mom always cooking amazing dinners, especially her Kjötsúpa (a kind of meat soup) that she made on special occasions. Gúa doesn't remember much about her early years, but she does remember always having a good time with her parents and occasionally recalls some of the trips they took around Iceland starting from when she was three. She felt blessed knowing that she had parents that cared so much about Gúa and her sister's happiness.
Her parents were a little different from other Icelandic folks. Almost everybody around them were Lutheran, but her family insisted on Gúa and Frida just learning the traditional Norse mythology instead. They would make little fairy houses in their backyards, and sometimes leave little offerings for the little folk. Before bed, her mom and dad would tell them stories of the great Norse Gods. Sure, some Icelanders might not deny the existence of elves or fairies, but her parents were especially interested in it, a lot more than the average parents. As Gúa got older, she slowly found them more and more ridiculous, but she still find them interesting and whenever she's feeling stressed, she'll ask her mom to tell another tale until she finds herself calm once more. It was yet another part of her childhood that she greatly enjoyed.
Even from the start, Gúa was one of the most average students in school. Her teachers claim that she could be so much brighter if she put her heart into it, but it was never her thing that she was interested in. Her parents did enroll her in "playschool" for a couple years, when she was young and they thought it would be a good idea for her. She tended to cause tantrums whenever she wasn't in the mood for going, even though things were extremely laid-back and easy then. Eventually, after enough lectures and such, she got use to going to school grudgingly more or less, although she was never as easy going as her sister about it. Gúa learned from the physical education class in school that she immensely enjoyed running, whether it be in laps or going through the forest the school. She set her eyes on becoming an amazing runner and from the end of playschool to now, she practiced outside whenever she had the chance, especially during the long summers when the sun never seemed to set.
It didn't take long for Gúa to find that running was her passion, but it did take her a while to figure out other parts of herself. She finally realized she truly enjoyed nature after many trips seeing many of Iceland's sights. Writing didn't play a major role in her life until she was a few years into compulsory/basic school. After spending a bunch of time with her friends, it was a soothing way for her to end the day. Speaking of friends, she always loved getting out there and meeting people that she thought looked like a suitable match for her. The way she sought after her looks helped with her popularity, but Gúa also made sure to be a kind person that would always be there for other people. She always ending up wearing herself out too much, being an introvert deep down inside. Meditating was another activity that she quickly found very beneficial to her well-being.
When she was 12, her dad lost his job and they had to downsize to an apartment. Thankfully, there was no need to switch to another school and she was able to keep all her friends. This was around the time where she started to fear that she would never make it as a runner and be very poor in the end. To get expensive clothing that their family could no longer afford, she stole basic pain pills from her parent's cabinet and marketed them as mystery morphine drugs to her classmates. During that time, she got in with a few bad contacts that did deals with her so she could get the real stuff. Gúa only did this for a couple months, until she felt like she had sufficient funds and could get what she wanted. She thought of doing this again a while later, but by that time her father had received a new job and could afford to get her a few of the things that Gúa really wanted, which was good enough for her. Feeling sort of bad about doing what she had done, she started a blog when she was thirteen to distract herself from the guilt and perhaps set up a job career path to have in case the running didn't work out for.
Across the years, she has shown her natural talent, along with work that she has put in her running. She has competed in numerous cross country competitions, and in most had received awards. Things are looking bright for her future, although her parents and her fears tell her to think of a more sensible job that she could actually make a decent living off of. She did suffer a crushing defeat quite recently that almost made her think of giving it up.
Gúa has only realized that she was bisexual since she was around fourteen. She always felt attraction towards men and a slight attraction to other females, but it finally fully emerged around that time. Her parents were fine with it, and she eventually told some of close friends about it. She is glad to live in Iceland where they are progressive about that sort of thing and there aren't any problems of coming out about it. She has never been in any long lasting relationships, although she dreams about it a lot. Overall, she has had a happy and peaceful life until now. Gúa still trains everyday for long distance running, and doesn't want to have a different career path, although her desire for wealth and parents have made her look into different options.

Powers:
[FA]star[/FA] Can summon shards of crystals around her, with which she can hurtle at her enemies using her magic.
[FA]star[/FA] If there are any willing plants nearby, she can control them and use that to her advantage.
[FA]star[/FA] With a large amount of magic energy, Gúa is able to convert her magic into a large amount of physical strength.
[FA]star[/FA] She can root herself into the ground, which will surround her in earth, but can be risky if enemies are still nearby. Hardest skill to pull off.
Costume: Pictured to the right, but imagine her clothing in shades of green. The things on her arms are the darkest shade, while the cloth over her hips is the lightest. She also doesn't have a sword.
Weapon(s): When she transforms, ends up having dual axes that look similar to the picture below. It will be awkward for her to use them at the beginning, but over time it will become more natural and she finds her blows are fairly effective with them. Once she's reached a certain level of proficiency with them, they will be adorned with a small green emerald in the top center of it.

FYI - The only problem I saw with the code is that there was extra and tags everywhere for some reason. I removed all the excess ones and it started working. (Extra tags like that usually happen when you try to code in the Rich Text Editor which, sadly, is the default editor that RPNation opens for a reply).
(Heck yeah it is!)TheDragonMoon said:Well, I'll keep that in mind for the future. Have no idea where all that junk came from. RPnation can be derpy at times.
And thank you, Mushishi is fantastic
