Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

The nightmare spun back around on his heels, his head tilting to the side in contemplation as he set his crimson stare upon the fallen. "Darling~" He purred slowly, every syllable of the word said methodically as the corners of his lips pulled up into a cold, condescending smirk, "Your halfhearted attempt at exasperating me is rather... flattering."

His eyes narrowed slightly then, something not quite right glinting through the crimson orbs which color was so eerily similar to the pools of drying blood splattered over their owners pale skin, "Or maybe it's idiotic. Quite frankly, I don't care." Quincy shrugged his shoulders with a grin before thrusting his thumb over his shoulder, in the direction of the encampments closest to the forests edge, "Regardless, would you like to help me toy with the guard in charge of alerting us of any oncoming dangers? I fear he didn't quite live up to my... expectations."

Rodwen turned to face the guard Quincy had pointed to and a small smirk began to form on her face.

The smell of blood began to hit Rodwen now it truly was intoxicating for the fallen angel , normally she never had to deal with blood as she simply tore the soul from the body. The crimson liquid still flowed from the corpses and it was quite the site to see, the only part of the previous battlefield that remained clean was the line Rodwen had forged and the part with the most blood was the mess Quincy had made.

"Quincy , i would love to join you"

The nightmare let out a high pitched giggle, gesturing for the fallen to follow him as he spun around and began dancing towards the encampments, his body twisting itself around in a series of twirls and flips in the anticipation of getting to relieve some more of the stress he could feel building up beneath his temples.

Quincy sped up as they got closer, his dancing becoming more sporadic, nearly as unpredictable as the nightmares demented mind. The guards stationed, wary and exhausted, all hurriedly stepped out of the way, not wishing to halt their oddly behaved general in the least. The lessons, coupled with the consequences dished out to those who had, were still clear in their minds even in their tired and worn state.

There was a blur of white and purple, an insane giggle followed by a distinct thump and a groan as the nightmare's chosen guard, a fidgety, boil covered young troll, toppled over to the ground, landing hard on his back from the unexpected weight of his general pouncing on him.

"Forget something did we, Alzim?" Quincy purred, his face so close to the others, he could relishing in every moment as the guards beady, black eyes widened in fear the second his name left the generals red stained lips, "What a shame."

Rodwen followed behind the nightmare while taking in the view of the battlefield.Rodwen had seen many of the humans battles in her time as the Archangel but this battlefield was nothing like that. weapons of steel , wood and sting lay scattered across the plain and the corpses lay cut , bruised and bloody. The sight truly was beautiful in its own way. It was a well needed sight change for the fallen as the human world was very boring to watch over.

As the two reached the guard Quincy quickly moved to constrain him , the guards eyes screamed for help and his soul grew restless with fear.Rodwen stood with a concealed grin on her face and spoke clearly and softly to the man "tell me , why are you so restless boy?"

Quincy perched himself atop the guards chainmailed chest, the cold metal feel of his armor chilling the undersides of his bare feet in the most exhilarating of ways. The guard himself spluttered out excuses and stammered shouts of denials to the fallen's question, his arms flailing about as if their owner wasn't sure about what to do with them.

Which was true, to some degree, Quincy thought. He man had the choice between following his instincts and push away the cause of the fear now shooting through his system, courtesy of the nightmare on his chest, or stay put and not risk loosing his arms in the process. It was a rather interesting conundrum, and the nightmare giggled as he thought of it.

Quincy tutted his tongue, running a finger over the trolls sweat cowered cheek in a manner that could almost be miss construed as affectionate, had it not been for the almost deathly grin stretched across his face, "You kept silent when you should have spoken up," Quincy murmured slowly, sweetly, drawing the words out like they were made of taffy as his fingers glided over the trolls trembling lips, "Or perhaps you simply didn't see the oncoming soldiers marching towards our base, hm?" purple painted fingernails scraped against the mans eyelids, closed tightly in absolute terror.

"Either way," The nightmare snapped, his crimson gaze lifting to connect with Rodwen's, "I do think you owe us a compensation of some kind. Be it at the expense of your eyes, or your tongue. Because obviously neither work as they should!"

@Mr Swiftshots

Rodwen looked deeply into the trolls eyes as he flailed about under Quincy. His emotions were running rampant within him and it was clearly visible in his eyes. When Quincy ran his fingers across the troll it broke her stare and she sighed somewhat at the mention of his tongue and eyes , the options were so , well disappointing.

Rodwen got down to the trolls level and looked back into his eyes "did you know that the eyes are the gateway to a persons soul?" Rodwen asked softly towards both the troll and Quincy.Losing an eye or the ability to speak wasn't quite the compensation Rodwen was interested in , she would much rather him lose touch of his emotions or senses. It would surly drive the man insane after some time or leave him with an empty void like feeling for the remainder of his life. But it was Quincy's guard not hers.

"Oh, ye of little faith," Quincy whined, his lower lip sticking out in a childish display of mock sadness as he stared up at her with big, red eyes as he spotted the reluctance in her eyes. "Honestly, what do you take me for?" He muttered, rather indignantly before turning back to the matter at hand. "I didn't work my hiney off," He snapped, his fingers forcing their way into the guards mouth, wrapping themselves around the mans sharp, rotted teeth, purple fingernails digging into his gums, "to become the most well known," A small moan broke his sentence as he forced the trolls jaw open, "Ringmaster of hell for nothing, luv."

Quincy leaned back, wobbling a little on the trolls heaving chest. His white locked head tilted slightly to the side to survey his work. The man was now unable to close his mouth, his jaw pulled permanently open, his cheeks torn to shreds. "He'll start drowning in his own blood soon," Quincy observed casually, glancing up at Rodwen with a small smile, "I just want his tongue, really. You can have his eyes or his soul or whatever trinket of his it is you want from him once I have what is rightfully mine."

Then, with no signs of hesitation, the nightmare's hand shot down the trolls gurgling throat, his sharp fingernails clamping down around the muscle before ripping it out with one sharp, quick pull. The mans muffled screams of horror, along with the sound of retching from behind, that Quincy couldn't help but let out a sigh in absolute delight.

"There," The nightmare purred, getting off the struggling trolls chest, flashing Rodwen a pleased grin, "He's all yours, darling."

Uria looked up from her tiny book as she felt something change in the world. "Oh, she's here..." She solemnly intoned as she snapped the tiny book shut. Spooks looked up from her ball of lightning that she was playing with with and stared at her questioningly. "Who's here?" She asked. Uria looked at her. "Down in hell, we are known as a council. You, Hamon, Me and one other. The other, our sister..." Spooks froze up as her mind showed her visions of her being doted on by someone. "Is the Archdemon of Phantasms...and she's breaching the world's barriers soon...by the way you never got over you infatuation right?" Spooks blushed at the last part. "S-shut up."

Rodwen stood after Quincy had torn the mans tongue out , she honestly wasn't expecting the nightmare to be so upfront about what he was going to dor or had done in this instance.the mans screams slowly turned to simple noises of pain , it was quite the sad sight for a massive troll like himself to simply gag and make pitiful noises as he slowly drowned to death in his own blood. "well well Quincy , i thought you were one for torture. it seems i was wrong to pre-judge you" Rodwen said softly as she caressed the trolls face.Tears ran down the trolls face and over Rodwens had as she did so."unfortunately his soul is quite mediocre , i cant see him paying his way out of hell with it" Rodwen said quietly to the two.

Rodwen then broke away for the man who was on the brink of death it's self and smiled down on him as she wiped the salty water from her hand. She again spoke softly to the dying troll but this time she was grinning down upon him with a disgusted look in her eyes "boy are you familiar with the bible ?" Rodwen asked well aware the troll could not speak. "i shall take you muffled gags as a yes" she said passionately somewhat like a mother would her child. "within the bible Mathew wrote 'do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both the body and the soul in hell' . You see boy i've had a lot of time to think about the writings within the bible being the Archangel of death and all and i've had to make many references to the bible during my reapings ,reports and speechs but not once have i ever referenced this text. do you know why i haven't boy?" She asked again knowing he couldn't reply.

Rodwen waited a few moments before forcing her heel into the mans stomach , making him spill out the blood that had formed in his mouth "it's quite simply actually , i haven't referenced this text because i strongly disagree with it. You see boy , i myself have destroyed countless souls over the years and i'm more than capable of destroying bodys too and i can do it all in the realm of the living !Therefor i believe its me whom you should fear not 'him who is able to destroy both the body and the soul in hell'. Don't you agree ?"

"You were. Today at least," The nightmare murmured, poking the trolls torn cheek with one blood stained finger, "On other days I'm quite partial to it. It really depends on the weather, I've found."

Quincy raised an eyebrow at the fallen, fingering the torn of appendage in his hand. He really had no idea what he wanted it for, but he just did. The tongue twitched a little. As Rodwen started talking about the bible, Quincy tuned her out completely. He had always found the subject boring, too monotone and old for him to take interest in it. Besides, he had never read the book. Partially because he couldn't actually read, and partially because the dust from the old pages always made him sneeze. He did find the fallen angel's excessive use of the word 'boy' kind of amusing though, but by the look in the trolls now dimming eyes, he guessed he was the only one who thought so.

As Quincy squeezed the torn off appendage into his palm, making warm rivers of crimson flow down his hand and onto his shirt, his mind, as it so often did, began to wander. However, unlike before, when all he had seemingly been able to think about was his twin, his thoughts now traveled down a different path. a more distorted, dark one filled with broken memories of years long since past, years filled with struggle and insanity greater than what he could perceive.

A small, lingering sense of longing came forth in his chest as distorted images of red and white came forth, spinning balls of fire and the smells of popcorn and dirt. Quincy let out a sigh. He missed the circus. As the tongue spasmed in his hand, his lips formed a small, real pout. The nightmare was homesick.

And that, he realized now, was why he had wanted the blasted piece of muscle in the first place.

Quincy looked up as the man on the graveled ground began to gasp and gurgle under the force of Rodwens heel, the wet sounds of his attempted formed words sounding almost like music to the small nightmare's ears. It reminded him of home yet again.

Rodwen sighed when Quincy made his remark , but it was true of recent Rodwen had grown bored of almost everything but she continued doing her job to the standards that were expected of her by the dark lady. "i've grown tired of our conversation boy so please hurry up and drown" Rodwen said mono toned as she twisted her heel from side to side within the beast. After the man was surely dead Rodwen turned to face Quincy and then moved to stand beside him. "Quincy , do make sure the next guard is more talkative , now i haven't seen you in some time have i ?"

"Very true," The nightmare nodded agreeably enough, the tongue in his hand jiggling ever so slightly as he raised it to his face to study it closer, "I've been rather... busy," He explained, pulling at the thing to see how far it could stretch. He had never owned a troll tongue before, and green as it was, it was still interesting, "I found myself with a situation far more interesting than this silly old manor at least."

Quincy dropped his hand, his crimson orbs rising to lock with hers, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he grinned sweetly up at her, "Though the same can be said for you, can it not? Found more any souls worth collecting for the dark lady?"

Rodwen sighed when the nightmare asked about her soul collecting , Rodwen had collected many souls to last the lady many more weeks but the work was growing extremely boring . "well i haven't been out as of late you see , the human word is oh so boring and oh so dim. many human souls are mediocre nowadays and its very rare to stumble upon what i would deem to be fun within the city" Rodwen stretched her arms and wings until they popped satisfyingly "but you seem to have fun wherever you go Quincy and envy that aspect of your soul"

"There are trees with lights on them in the city." Quincy commented simply, his body beginning to sway back and forth, not used to standing still for so long at a time, "Large trees with all sorts of colorful lights. It looks almost like Cadmium, but more... merry." The last word was said with a slight tinge of disgust lacing his tone, and his nose crinkled ever so slightly.

"And, for you information," He murmured, turning to face her fully, head tilted to the side again, "My soul was taken from me a long time ago."

The words had slipped from his mouth before he had the chance to stop them, or even register where they had come from. His unoccupied hand was suddenly over his chest, as if searching for his own soul. But even as he did so, he knew the unexpected words held truth, and pale eyebrows furrowed together in thought as Quincy tried to remember just how it was he had come by that knowledge.

Rodwen smiled simply at the nightmare , this information would explain why she had never gotten a good read on the nightmares emotional and mental state but she didn't really care. "hmm i see , well then Quincy my view on you has completely changed to that of pity" She said softly to the nightmare as she wiped her blood stained heel on the grass that lay below them."anyways tell me about this interesting encounter you've had "

Quincy giggled softly, shaking his head, his white locks flying around him like a snowy halo. "I think I will not." He said simply, giving the fallen angel a secretive smile. His eyes, though, held a warning only the most experienced would manage to pick up on. They held a promise of pain, should the fallen dig further. Quincy did not want to share his new found doppelganger with anyone, and in truth, his fist clenched a little around the tongue in his hand as he thought of it. It was his twin. His.

Quincy blinked, and his rigid posture relaxed slightly, the eerie look in his eyes now gone in a flash. As if it were never there to begin with. Demented mischief remained, and the nightmare spun around in a circle. "I think I'll go preserve this." He called out over his shoulder, waving the tongue in the air like a demented trophy, "Never know what it can be used for."

And with that, the general left the battleground, skipping every other step as he whistled a happy circus tune.

"...I miss them Uria...I miss everyone back home..." Spooks said as she stood up. Uria looked at her with worry. "You know that I don't know what will happen if you come back..." She said. Spooks shut her eyes. "I. DON'T. CARE." She shouted as lightning rained behind her, frying a completely innocent rose bush. "I...I'm sorry about tha-" She started before Uria suddenly stood and hugged her. "It's alright, you can go back to them now." She said. "I'll have Serra bring your stuff there later, do you want a teleport there?" She added.

Spooks can only nod before she was suddenly transported into the cafe in a flash of light.

The shadows cast by the trees seemed to stretch on forever, and as the thumping and crunching of leaves drew ever nearer, the young man let out a strangled cry for help as he continued to run as fast as he could in the opposite direction of the monster.

The moon was dark this night, barely managing to light up even the dullest of shadows creeping up from what seemed like every corner of the thick, musty forest. The young man felt as if he were about to choke. Not only from the thin air within these woods, but from the strain of having run for what felt like hours. The monster chasing him seemed to have no intent on stopping, however, and scared as the man was, he didn't even think to question how he had ended up in this dark, fog ridden forest in the first place. nor the authenticity of the monster steadily gaining speed behind him.

Or why the last thing he could remember was getting a glass of water before he went back to bed again.

No, it was safe to say that the only thing that occupied the blonde mans mind at this very moment, was the urge to get away. The pounding of his heart, while nearly drowning out every thought he had, didn't quite manage to rid him of his instincts to flee. For which he was grateful.

The man was just about to turn by the nearest tree, the path he had been on bending in a crooked shape just up ahead, when something dark, ominous, suddenly appeared in front of him. It was so close now, he could feel its ice cold breath on his face, smell the scent of... bananas?

The man screamed as a pair of glowing, narrowed red eyes suddenly flew open from within the shadows, his voice ringing out and echoing off the walls of his subconscious. He was sure he was going to die. Die by the banana scented monster now closing in on him. Of all things, why did it have to be bananas? Tears escaped the blonde mans blue eyes as he fell back against the forest floor, dry leaves crunching beneath the weight of his elbows. He had always detested bananas...

Quincy licked his lips as he got closer, the mans fears starting to seep into him like a delicious buffet. He may have been prohibited from attacking either of the two blue haired girls he had encountered previously, but Jun had said nothing about feeding off the dreams of random humans with fears of bananas. A grin slowly stretched its way over his face as he advanced on the cowering man.

Raya rocked back and forth with her eyes closed and her knees pulled to her chest, absentmindedly humming a song she'd heard before. She was pretty sure it was called 'Dog Days are over' but for all she knew she was humming Humpty dumpty. When she forgot the next set of notes she switched over to a different tune then frowned as she forgot that one as well.

She sighed, searching her fuzzy brain for another tune to hum. humming calmed her and Frankly Raya needed a chill pill more then anyone on the planet. As she went to start humming again she felt her powers resurface, "Huh...?"

The little trickles of power fell back into hiding and Raya brows knitted together in confusion. Quickly forgetting about the oddness, she crawled over to the hidden area Jun and Ollie were hiding in and knocked on the door, "Are you guys making out in there...?" she slurred, wondering what Oliver and Jun were doing. She pressed her head against the door to try and hear, but only succeeded at bonking her head.

"Ouchie!" she squeaked then flopped flat on the floor and looked up at the roof. Suddenly she felt a rush of sleepiness then quickly fell asleep, it was an odd sensation slipping into dream land now that she thought about it. It was almost like diving off a diving bored but when you hit the water you were in a dream.

When she did hit the water of someone's dream she burst through then tumbled backwards, slamming into someone in the process, "Ouch!" she squeaked then stumbled to her feet only to see Ellie's nightmare, "Ew, It's you." she murmured then pinched the bridge of her nose. She looked behind her at the blonde male now on the ground then quirked an eyebrow "D-Did I do that?"

Quincy's first reaction was not a logical one.

Of course, his jumbled and demented mind rarely allowed for a logical reaction to anything, however in this situation, his reaction was not one of insanity. But out of instinct. Like a vampire deprived of it's meal, the nightmare jerked forward, his eyes murderous and filled to the brim with deranged hunger, his illusions shedding in the process leaving the nightmare his normal, white haired self.

The young man, now nightmare-less and devoid of his fears, slipped off into nicer dreams, his visage disappearing slowly from the floor. This only enraged the nightmare more, and as his body slammed into the girls, knocking them both over, his pale hands automatically wrapped themselves around her thin throat, his mouth formed into a snarl. "How dare you," He hissed, his grip tightening, "How da-"

The realization of who he was strangling nearly made him rip the 'protectors' blue head off her slender shoulders. Not only out of the fact that she had once again stolen his meal, but because of the simple, almost hilariously uncomplicated promise he had made not to harm her.

Quincy ripped his hands away and rolled off her, a pout of unsatisfied disappointment quickly forming on his lips as he started to sulk. He had never broken a promise. And he didn't mean to.

Raya felt the motion of being and jerked to the side, only to be held into her falling position by two hands at her neck. As her back slammed into the ground and hands squeezed her neck she kicked, then she was let go and went into a coughing fit.

After steadying her breathing she glared at the male who looked eerily similar to- "Jun!?" she squeaked, her eyes widening at the figure. Had Jun just tried to strangle her? She blinked a couple times then narrowed her eyes at the male. That wasn't Jun. Jun was good, and he didn't wear barrettes, at least she thought he didn't.

"You look exactly like Jun..." she murmured as she tilted her head, straightening again when it brought pain. Strangled twice in one month, that must be a new record. she thought to herself. It was a little hard to concentrate on one thing at a time and she scowled.

She thought back to what the man had said, "How dare I what?"

Quincy's eye twitched as his brothers name left the protectors lips, his head jerking to stare at her with narrowed red eyes. He didn't answer her, and instead gave a huff before sitting himself down crosslegged on the forest floor. The nightmare scooped up a handful of leaves, crushing them into his palm before watching them disintegrate into nothing but the jumbled memories of the man whose mind they were both occupying.

"Get a grip on yourself, darling," He muttered dismayed at her coughing and rasping voice, his red gaze returning to look up at her, "It's only in your head, no need to sound so pained. You're not the one who've been denied a meal twice in a row." His tone was accusing, with no effort put in to hide just who he blamed for his hunger. Quincy kicked out his legs, crossing his arms over his chest, looking almost like a sulking toddler.

@DestinyRed

"I'm not your 'Darling' and I'm drunk you dumbass." she spat in annoyance. She knew it was in her head, but it still felt real. In normal dreams you only saw things, in ones like these you could smell, and feel even touch, Of course the alcohol probably didn't help the matter.

Raya glared back at him in annoyance then noted his toddler like behavior, "You look like an idiot, you know that right?" she murmured.

"And no, I haven't been denied a meal, I've been pinned to the ground and nearly strangled." she felt like slapping him, but she didn't have the energy -or coordination- to move from her current spot.

@Cryobionic

"I'm not going to apologize," Quincy told her bluntly, getting up from his spot on the floor, glaring at her once again. "You don't have an ounce of self preservation, do you, luv?" He asked, his tone now holding a slight hint of amusement, "Getting yourself intoxicated before blundering into the dreams of an unknown human. You're lucky you didn't knock over another nightmare. They wouldn't have hesitated ripping your pretty little eyes out of your skull."

And he wouldn't have either, Quincy thought with a scowl, his pale brows drawing together in a frown. It wasn't much he could do about the situation now, though, his meal was interrupted and had fled, and the girl was making a spectacle of herself. He could just leave, really, but if he did, he would have to return to the battlegrounds and help clean up the mess. And he really didn't want to do that.

"Who are you, anyway?" He finally asked, leaning back against a tree, summoned by him for just that purpose.

@DestinyRed

"You try controlling my powers." she stated, "It's a freaking blast." after thinking over what he said she quirked a brow, "And why didn't you rip my eyes out?" she asked, wobbly raising to her own feet as well.

She considered what he said the crossed her arms, "I'll tell you who I am if you tell me why you look exactly like Jun." that was really bugging her and she was sure if she didn't get an answer she would die of curiosity. Raya watched in amazement as a tree just suddenly appeared behind him and her face showed a little bit of the awe she was in, "How did you do that...?"
