Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

"It's not necessary," The demon told her, wincing as he felt the burning pain of the alcohol hit his flesh, "Ah! but you're doing it anyway, which is cool too." He gave her a small grin, his fingers twitching.

" Its punishment," she murmured binding up the wound with quaze" For not tell me the whole truth," Ellie looked up at him levelly, " I can recognize nail markings on skin Vinny, now what made you so upset?" She asked again, her silvery blue eyes shining.

"It was just Ase," The demon told her, holding his hand up in front of his face to inspect the bindings, "She just said some messed up, truthful things, made me a little... agitated. Nothing bad, don't worry." He gave her the other hand, with a small smile.

Spooks woke up from her sleep and was gasping for breath. Her arms flew to her chest and crossed in an attempt to hug herself and get her to calm down. "A nightmare...just a nightmare..." She mumbled as she slowly let her arms drop to her side as she tried to sit up.

Ellie looked down quiet for a few minutes," Was it about me being mortal?" She asked quietly, her eyes on Vinny's hand, cleaning and binding it carefully.

"Why?" He asked, running a finger over the new bindings, "Why does it matter so much?" Vincent frowned, looking at her.

"Because were gonna have to talk about it sooner or later!" Ellie looked up at him, thr threat of tears in her eyes," At the end of the day, someday sooner or later I'm going to die! And it's scary.... I wanna be with you forever...And I can't be..." She whimpered, tears now falling down her face.

Oliver, who had followed Ellie out of curiosity, to see what she was going to do this time, poked his head into the bathroom, his eyes wide. He had only really expected to watch as the two of them patched up a wound, which he had overheard, but then he had found their situation much more interesting. "Buckley could always corrupt you," He commented, trying to be helpful, "That way, you can be."

Vincent pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to resist the temptation of striking the little imp in the face, "Ollie," He said quietly, his crimson eyes shining, "You have to the count of three to get out of here, before I dismember you." To his credit, the imp yelped and disappeared from the doorway, leaving them alone once again. Vincent turned to Ellie, wiping away some of her tears with his thumb, his eyes softening "We can discuss this later, okay?" He tried, sighing, "But right now is not the time."

Ellie nodded sadly looking down, " Ok.." She whispered, her eyes red and puffy from crying as she rubbed the remaining tears away, walking back out to the cafe.

Vincent sighed and leaned against the sink, his mind racing as mile a minute. This was one of the main reasons he had been so hesitant to give his heart up to Ellie in the first place, and he was starting to wonder if that had really been a good idea. It had been a very selfish thing of him to do, he realized, and inside he started to beat himself up over how stupid and ignorant he had really been. Seeing Ellie sob like that over something that he could have easily prevented had struck a chord within him, and he could feel his heart clench just thinking about it. Vincent started to clench his hands into fists again in frustration, but stopped once the rough material of the bandages brushed over his fingertips. He had already messed up badly, he didn't need to undo the witch's bindings on top of it all.

He couldn't even discuss the situation in detail with her either, no matter if he had promised to do so. There was absolutely nothing to do about the situation, and in some twisted way he was happy Ellie had apparently ignored the imps stupid comments. Of course he wanted to be with the girl for as long as possible, but he could not, would not go through the necessary procedures to actually achieve such an unobtainable goal. With a moan of emotional pain, the demon supported himself against the cold porcelain sink, trying to collect his thoughts enough to venture out to the cafe again.

..................

Oliver looked up from what he was doing as Ellie entered the cafe. He could see that she had been crying heavily, evident by the puffy redness around her eyes, and he felt bad for her. Which was why he was trying to figure out how to properly make a cup of tea. After Buckley had snapped at him, he had decided that the witch would probably need something to cheer her up, and since he had watched her make the hot beverage once before, he didn't think it would be too hard.

His first attempt had ended with him spilling the entire kettle of boiling water on himself, drenching the shirt he was wearing. He didn't really mind the heat, but it was beginning to get annoying, being wet. But his second attempt had turned out much better, and now there was a steaming cup of tea sitting on the counter, waiting for the witch. Oliver had assumed that since Ellie was a girl, and all the other girls he had met previously seemed to adore sweet tasting things, she would like to have her brew sweetened. So, in an act of consideration, he had dumped about half of the bag of sugar into her cup too. She would love it, he was sure.

"I made you some tea!" He called out to her with a proud grin, the hot water dripping from his shirt, seeping into the floorboards below. There were also some tea leaves in his hair, though how those had gotten there, was anyone's guess.

"Eh?" Ellie looked up from where she had been staring absentmindedly at the floor when she heard Oliver speak to her. Her gaze fell on the bar, where a cup of hot tea was sitting, surrounded by what looked like sugar, she looked back up at the drenched imp, tea leaves in his hair, smiling faintly." Thank you Oliver," she smiled sitting down at the bar, holding the cup in her hands for a few second before taking a sip. As soon as the overly sweet tea hit her tongue she squeaked in surprise, coughing after she forced her body to swallow the tea," Oliver... How much sugar did you add to this tea?" She asked carefully, trying not to sound ungrateful.

"About half a bag," Oliver chirped happily, "I wasn't sure how much you liked, so I figured that it would be better to add too much than too little, right?" He smiled, picking the leaves out of his dark locks with a proud expression. "Making this tea thing is a lot harder than it looks," He huffed after a while, "And that tea kettle holds a lot more water than I first thought too." He added with an angry glance at the electric tea kettle, a small pout appearing on his lips. "Anyway, how's the tea? Do you love it?"

"Um.." Ellie looked at Olivers excited face, it kinda reminded her of a puppy waiting for a treat. " It's....Very good for your first try," she smiled encouragingly. She looked down at the cup of overly sweet tea, chugging the rest quickly, hoping that would help combat the sickeningly sweet taste. It didn't. She gasped finishing the cup wincing slightly as the taste settled in her mouth.

"I know, it's good right?" The imp giggled, swaying slightly back and forth. The feeling of having done something right settling in, it was great. He excitedly watched her chug the tea, thinking that his brew must have been especially amazing since she seemed so eager to drink it all. "I'll make you some more!" He exclaimed happily, walking over to the kettle, which was still filled with boiling hot water, "Since you liked it so much. Anyway, you need to cheer up I think."

" cheer up..." Ellir repeated looking down at the empty cup, gripping it tightly. " Ollie....What was that corruption thing you were talking about?"she asked looking up at the imp, her eyes shining with curiosity.

"Oh, you don't know?" He questioned distractedly, reaching for the bag of sugar again, "It's when a demon takes a mortals soul, damning them to hell." He explained happily, grabbing her cup before filling it with the boiling water from the kettle, spilling some all over his hands, "Only, that's the official explanation for it, anyway. In reality it means that a demon takes your soul, and then when you die, you go to hell, belonging to that demon. You essentially turn kind of..." Oliver stopped pouring, thinking of the right word, "Imp-like? No, more like an eternal servant to that demon, I think. Anyway, it's kind of taboo to even talk about with non hell beings, 'cause it's not practiced often." He finished, quite content with his impromptu lesson on demonology. Oliver dumped the rest of the sugar into her cup, stirring it with a smile before handing it back to her.

"And if he kills you, yes." Olive deadpanned, frowning slightly. He had meant the whole corruption thing as a joke to brighten the mood when he had first mentioned it, but now that he saw how serious Ellie suddenly took it, he began to backtrack, "Which of course is something Buckley would never do, and something you shouldn't even consider, because it's that bad. You'd be a soulless monster, Ellie. No, forget I said anything at all." The imp waved his hands in front of himself, suddenly extremely uncomfortable, "Drink your tea and forget about it," He urged, gesturing to the cup while backing up and away from her.

Ellie looked down at the extremely sweet concoction, her stomach churned, begging for no more," Actually...I don't really like really sweet thing," she smiled sheepishly pushing away the cup," They give me a stomach ache," she smiled standing up, walking over to Oliver, pulling him to her in a hug," Thank you for the tea Oliver, I'm gonna go lie down for a bit," she smiled down at him, letting go of the imp walking upstairs. As soon as she was far away from Oliver, certain he wouldn't see her face, she dropped her smiling, frowning down at the ground.

Maria looked at Ellie's retreating figure upstairs worry on her face." I'll be back," she murmured to Oliver, standing up as she walked over to Vincent who was still in the bathroom." Ok, what did you two talk about that turned Ellinor into...that?" She asked, her tone more worried then accusatory.

"Her mortality." Vincent replied simply, not looking up at her, instead choosing to study his wrapped up hands. In the cafe, Oliver picked up Ellie's abandoned cup and took a sip, spraying the gooey, syrupy liquid over the bar, running into the kitchen to wash his tongue.

Ase turned on the sofa whining in her drunken state of sleep. "Estelle why did you burn the house down~" she continued turning until she hurt her wing jolting awake "ow ow ow" she sighed rubbing her wing.

"Oh...Are you ok?" She asked walking over to Vincent, tilting her head at him worried." Do you need someone one to talk to cause... I've got nothing to," she smiled at him encouragingly.

Ellie looked up when she heard Ase's voice as she entered the top floor," Ase?" She called out confused.

"im ok i just slept on my wing funny" Ase sighed sitting back on the sofa. "sorry if i startled you"

"I don't know," Vincent responded honestly, sighing, "I feel like a selfish bastard, you know?" He said with a dry chuckle, still refusing to look at the pink haired witch.
