Magi - Birth of legends

Four Thousand Club
The date is February 2nd, 2014, and all over the world, children are getting back to school, or are getting settled in for their first weeks, but a few students, spread out al over the world are getting ready to go to a very special school.

(for this Rp i'm bringing back a new kind of roleplaying with text, im gonna be doing it this way for all my own group Rps, you can do it too if you wish)

::In Australia, in a town called Warrnambool, A black sedan with tinted black windows pulls into the airfield, which doesn't even really count as being an airport since it consists of only a small administrative building, a landing strip and 3 hangars big enough only for small planes and small passenger planes (at a stretch)

A young boy got out of the car, his face fresh and ready, an older man in the car leaned over ::

Man: "Are you sure you've got everything you need?"

Artemis: "Yeah Dad, are you sure i'll like it there? I'm kinda scared..."

Man: "you'll be fine, It's scary at first but after a couple of days it will all be fine with you, you're just scared of the unknown"

:: The young boy took a deep breath, turning around to see the private jet with his dad's company logo on the side of it ::

Artemis: "Are you sure i can get there by plane? does the pilot know where to do?"

Man: "I went to school with him, not get a move on..."

:: The young boy sighed and nodded, picking up his bags and running to the plane, the pilot greeted him with a smile and bought him inside, giving him a seat right at the front (for a kid that's a big thing) and the plane began to move to the runway... Artemis knew that there needed to be some magic involved in this, because the school could not be reached like any other building by just physically moving to where it is ::

Before Pelan left to go to his special school, he made sure to say goodbye to all his friends on the Native American settlement. His father then drops him off at the airport, where a man in a suit is waiting for him. "Dad, who's that?" he asks his father.

"An old friend of mine. Nice to see you again, Robert," Pelan's dad says, shaking the man's hand.

"Likewise, Chenda," Robert says. "Is this your son?" He stoops down to Pelan's height, smiling.

"Yes, yes he is. Say hello to Robert, Pelan."

"H-hello," Pelan says shyly.

"
Now, this man is going to take care of you on your way to the school."

"
That's right, Pelan. I know about the school because I went there. So has your father."

Pelan walks over to Robert as Robert grabs his stuff.

"Bye, Dad," Pelan says, waving to his father as he and Robert walk to a private jet.

"
Bye, Pelan! Good luck at school."

“Are you sure about this Emma?” David’s father asked, concern oozing from his words. “I've never even heard of this place.”

“Trust me Mr. Case. This is one of the greatest schools I know of and the fact that David got even a partial scholarship is major.” Emma said as she ran around the house packing David’s bag full of various necessities such as tooth paste and toilet paper and then going to make him a sandwich.”

“Well, why can’t I just take him there myself?” David’s father asked. Emma opened her mouth but nothing came out. She closed her mouth then opened it and tried again.

“T-the school is very particular about who is allowed on campus. Trust me. They want the students as safe as possible.” She said as David stumbled down the stairs, multiple bags being dragged behind him.

“Are you almost ready bud?” His father asked with an almost sad smile

“Yup.” He said with a smile. “Oh, wait. Lyka!” There was a tumbling from the stairs as a little silver pup came running from the stairs with a little blue bag in his mouth. “Okay, we’re all set.” He said beaming.

“Okay Danny here’s a sandwich for the road. Your ride should be here…” Emma was cut off as the doorbell resonated through the house. Dan ran to the door, opened it and grinned at the woman with fiery red hair that stood before him.

“Are you ready Mr. Case?” She asked with a smile.

::The plane began to speed up down the runway, and almost in a flash it went off the ground, tilting upwards and climbing rapidly.::

Artemis: "i love these things"

::looking out the window, in the distance there was a large storm coming in, but he knew it wasn't a storm, the portal was inside the clouds! the plane took a sharp turn, tilting then evening out, heading for a particular area of the storm, Artemis gripped his armrest ::

Artemis: "oooh..."

::he said to himself, as the plane entered the cloud. The plane began to shake violently, and then, there was a bright flash of light as energy crept through the plane, and once it was over, the cloud dissapeared, below the plane was the school ::

Artemis: "Nice!"

::He was way ahead of schedule, the other students wouldnt be there for awhile::

Jamie sat in the car listening to her sister, Clair blather on about nothing. She just needed her for a ride and then it was over. Her sister had a habit of talking to much.

"So Jamie, are you excited?" Clair asked smiling.

"Uh... I guess, more like nervous though." Jamie chuckled

"I've never heard of this school before... It sounds pretty cool though. I wish I was like you, smart ya'know?" Clair added.

Jamie let out a sigh. She really wished she was like her sister. Her sister was so confident and pretty. She wasn't scared of anything, and more than that she could have anything she wanted. Jamie was still young and under-developed for her age. She was merely 4'11 and a half, and was very thin. She had no curves, though she wasn't really suppose to at 12, and in her mind looked like a little boy.

'Stop thinking negative' a Scottish accent grumbled from behind her.

It was her Scottish terrier Reginald. See Jamie had this thing, where she could talk to animals. She had had it since as long as she could remember. She didn't even know it was weird until she started school and the other children picked on her for talking to squirrels at recess. Her parents had got her Reginald on her 6th birthday and they had been best-friends ever since.

Jamie turned at cut Reginald a look, not being able to respond to him in the car. As she did though, something caught the corner of her eye, a giant castle like building. She gasped in awe.

Clair was stopped by people ushering cars in directions. The ushers mumbled something to Clair, Jamie didn't catch. When Clair replied confused they told her that they would escort Jamie to the building. They said it was to make the leaving process easier for the children. Jamie got out and grabbed her things. Reginald followed her as she was walked by the usher to the school.

Noah sat silently in a car next to a teacher for a "special school" he was told. A few hours ago, his parents were murdered and he was introduced into a world of magic. Reading a note from his now dead parents, Noah finds out that he is the son of a wizard and witch. The teacher driving would take him to a school where he could learn magic and become a wizard as well. Noah was still sad from the traumatic experience and was reading an introductory textbook to magic as they traveled to the school.

Pelan looked outside the window as the private plane took off, staring at the buildings speeding past. As the plane went past the clouds, he noticed that something felt different, like they were transported to another place.

"If you're wondering what just happened," Robert told Pelan and smiled, "We just went through a portal which took us to the school. Look outside your window."

"Wow!" Pelan said, amazed as he sees the castle below him. The plane then lands on the runway, slowing to a halt. The two leave the plane, having the attendants of the Academy take care of Pelan's stuff.

"
Pelan, welcome to your new home!"

The two were still ahead of schedule, so that gave them time to look around.

::Artemis grabbed his bag, then stopped turning around ::

Artemis:"... were you on my plane?"

:: he asked, his eyes wide open in surprise::

As the car pulled away from David’s house he dropped the fake smile and cheer. He had put up that front so his father and Emma would be happy and didn't think they had to make him stay. In reality, David was petrified. He had never been away from home without his father or nanny and he could feel a subtle dread settle onto him the farther away from his house he got. He had no one where he was going beside Lyka, wherever he was going. The woman driving looked at him in the rear view mirror and seemed to realize his fears.

“You’re not alone you know.” She said gently. “When I was your age, well a little younger, I felt the same way. Trust me when I say you will quickly begin to think of Alessium as a home away from home, and its students as family.” This calmed David enough that his inquisitive side began to take the better of him. He began rattling off questions, from how old the school was to what her favorite color was, and the woman easily answered them all. This continued for quite some time until David stopped mid-sentence as he noticed fog steadily creeping around the car. Something about it unnerved him. He stayed silent until he couldn't handle it anymore. He was about to mention it when the woman looked back at him with a smile and a mischievous glint in her eye and said to him,

“Hold on.” There was a flash and color blossomed around him. He looked around and saw clear blue skies…and no ground. The car began to plummet and his heart jumped into his throat, only allowing a single scream to come out. Lyka began to come out of the seat floating slowly in the air as he whimpered and screamed in David’s mind. The woman said something he couldn't understand and the car slowed down, bouncing slightly as it touched the ground. The woman put it in park, turned to him and said,

“Welcome to Alessium Academy. We walk from here.” As he got out of the car shakily, Lyka stumbling behind he stopped and stared at possibly the most beautiful castle he had ever seen. He looked at Lyka and said,

“It’s gonna be an interesting couple of years, boy.”

Pelan looked at the boy who just talked to him. "I don't think so," he says. He didn't see the boy on the plane before. "I came on a plane from the U.S., so we couldn't have been on the same plane."

((we meet up at the school opening, or at the headmaster's start of year address to the students))
Artemis: "... huh, sorry i thought you were talking to me, excuse me"

:: he moved past Pelan with his suitcase, he was a strange boy, he was just a boy but he dressed in a suit, walked upright and talked like he was an adult, but then again that's what comes with being the son of a billionaire, cameras everywhere ::

:: He walked towards the school, at the entrance, the huge wooden gates were wide open with students entering almost 1 at a time, the school haden't really opened yet but you could enter ::

"Huh, well that's rude," Pelan says to himself as he decides to follow the rich-looking kid into the school. Pelan looked strange in his Native American clothing following a boy in a suit, but this didn't bother him. After all, he was fine with the way he was.

"So this is it?" Dustin asked as the helicopter soon cleared through the clouds displaying the school from A birds eye view,"It seems we have finally arrived...welcome to Artemis Academy Dustin." Karina said giving a gentle warm smile. Dustin smile and nodded looking out the window, "It's really big well the school anyway.." He spoke and then gripped his suitcase anxious to get off the helicopter as it soon came to land.

Daniel stared in wonderment at the building and the people around him. He noticed other kids filing toward a large open door. He looked toward the teacher who drove him to this mystifying place.

“Should I…?” He asked awkwardly, pointing his finger in the direction of the door.

“Go ahead, no one will bite…much.” She said with a smile and a wink. He looked at Lyka who gave him a toothy grin before padding forward. As he got closer to the door he started to notice multiple private jets and helicopters. As he passed them he noticed a boy dressed in Native American style clothing. Something about the boy made him seem approachable. David debated walking over and talking to him, but he was never very good with talking to strangers. He always got really nervous and ended up stuttering a lot and could never come up with stuff to say, and that was only when he could get the courage up to talk to them. He looked at Lyka, knowing that he could hear his thoughts. Lyka looked at him and gave him what could only be a shrug and said

“You know what I say. You gotta try new things. Get out of your comfort zone. You can go to this school, but you can’t talk to someone?”

“That’s easy for you to say, you spend most of your time sleeping. Beside, coming here was the easy part, talking to someone is pushing the limit.”

“Yes,” Lyka responded, “but nine out of ten times in my dream I’m eating someone-I mean something new. In the end it’s up to you.” David laughed, then sighed.

“Here goes nothing.” He said as he began walking over to the boy. Just before he got there he decided quickly changed his mind and decided to just enter the building.

The teacher driving Noah's car finally got to the school grounds after coming through the portal. Noah simply got out with his bag and the car pulls away. Noah walks to the school gate and notices all the students. Being shy and wary of the large crowd of people, Noah silently walks to the side under a nearby tree. Still shocked from his parents murder, Noah pulls out a book from his backpack and puts his suitcase down. He began reading through it looking at the school brochure and the different types of magic.

Dustin took off the uncomfortable helmet and hopped off and smiled, Karina soon climbed off as well she kneeled down and smiled at Dustin "Alright this is it I gotta go Dustin.." Karina said in a saddened tone, Dustin now confused tilted his head "W-where are you going I thought you were coming with.." Dustin said holding out his hand so she could take it. Karina gave a warm smile and patted Dustin's head "Such a great kid...It was nice being with you over the years Dustin I just wanna let yah know that." She spoke as Dustin nodded smiling, "You were the best playmate ever Karina! at least come and visit often!" Dustin said hugging her tightly. Karina smiled again and held him before letting go "Sure thing kid now you be good make sure to tell your parents I said hi" She said before turning to get back on the helicopter, "I will see you soon Karina!" Dustin said waving as the helicopter spun up and began to fly off.

Jamie let her eyes wander around the school. It was the biggest place she had ever seen, though she hadn't really seen many big buildings in her days. She spaced out the usher taking her to the school and talking to her on the way, but every so often she would shake her head pretending to be listening.

Jamie soon noticed a large number of aircraft dropping students off. Some of them only dropped off one student! She wondered what it would be like to fly VIP like that. Jamie had never been on a plane, so really she wondered what it was like in general.

Quickly Jamie made it to the huge doors that opened into the school. The usher bid her farewell and left. She stood there quietly waiting to see what the other children were doing. She didn't want to be the first one in.

"Are we just suppose to wait here" Reginald asked

"How should I know?" Jamie replied quietly not wanting to draw attention to her self speaking to an animal.

Gloria Reins

Sitting calmly on a nearby bench, the dark haired witch had been at the academy long before the students began arriving, she wondered if she should have booked her flight at a later time. The only reason why Gloria was there for the whole time was because of the time zone difference between Australia and Canada, almost seventeen hours advanced in Australia. Stifling a tired yawn, Gloria had gotten no sleep whatsoever because her own plane broke down so she had to go on a different flight where the kid behind her was throwing a huge tantrum and kicking at her seat. It was rather irritating and frustrating might I add.

Sitting up straightly as if someone was poking her in the back, Gloria pulled out a book about magical charms, one that she had read over the long flight here. Opening the book up to a random page, Gloria's eyes skimmed over the words, drooping ever so slightly from how sleepy she was. But, she managed to stay awake. There were still a few more people arriving, but she hadn't paid much attention to them. Holding back another yawn, Gloria forced herself to keep her eyes open as she continued to read her book. Must. Stay. Awake.

Dustin the helicopter now out of sight turned and looked at the other children, it appeared that the place was getting lively by the second since children were walking toward the huge doors. Dustin gave a small sigh of relief "Well at least I'm not late..." Dustin mumbled to himself before walking toward the doors. Dustin then halted and stood just in front on the doors, he felt the wood and the unique markings of them "Hm these look cool.." He said knocking on it before turning and looking at the other students, he may as well get a head start of getting to know people better than doing it on a later note. Dustin looked over the children and caught glance at a boy by a tree he tilted his head and walked his way setting his suit case down when he was close enough to him. "Hey there you must be another student right?!" Dustin said in a cheerful tone.

Noah looks up at the person who approached him with a question. Noah looks at him wondering whether or not he is a friend. Barely audible Noah says "Yeah. You are one too?" Noah was quite timid and this sudden person walking up to him was a little out of his comfort zone.

Dustin nodded, "I thought do and yeah I'm gonna be attending here too I'm Dustin what's yours?" He asked extending his hand and smiling.

As closer as the car she was in got to the school, the more Herika's eyes glistened with enthusiasm. She had read so many things about magic, but didn't know if they were true. The teacher riding the car looked at her through the rear mirror and grinned.

"Don't worry, kiddo. You'll get along just fine here, you'll see!" The teacher said while parking the car near the other ones which were already there.

"Yeah... I hope you're right..." Herika said as she examined the big and beautiful building in front of her through the car's window. She spotted a girl by the doors, a dog by her side. She looked around the grounds and also spotted many kids talking. She decided she should do the same, and nervously got out of the teacher's car.

"You need any help?" He asked, a playful smile on his lips. Herika just smirked and thanked him before taking her luggage from the trunk of the car. She began walking slowly to the building doors, while taking evening breaths. 'Wish me luck, mom!' She thought while approaching the girl with the Scottish dog.

"H-Hello... You are also new here...?" She asked, trying to put on her best smile. Her voice came out a little more anxious than she expected it to be, which caused her to blush madly and look at her feet constantly.
