"There's a reason why I haven't gone to any dance with boy before, my dad is overprotective and Alfred just gets a kick out scary them away.." Aurora smiles back at him and considers it an accomplishment for not blushing when one of his oh-so-rare smiles was directed towards her.

"Well, I like to think I can be a bit more determined than most when I have a reason to be. He lightly pats her head. "Sooooo... Shall we get moving then?"

Laughing, Aurora nods and they both walk out. "So how about we go to the park to do homework, I really don't want to go home early...Aubrey's home with her "friend" and my mom hasn't been taken it well...hopefully by the time we get home Aubrey's friend left and my mom won't be so uptight"

"Yeah, seems good" he inwardly sighs however, it was rare he had a chance to go to her house, and even with the guys in her family staring knives at him, he thought of it as a second home, he'd love to spend as much time as he could there. "So who's Aubrey's 'friend'?"

Aurora wasn't sure if she can talk about it but it was Dio after all. "Aubrey is starting to explore her sexuality, you know? Boyfriends and girlfriends come in and out our door on a daily basis. My mom and dad...well they aren't taking it well. Oh and Alfred? He looks ready to kill anyone that Aubrey comes home. With me the whole 'protective brother' thing is a joke but with Aubrey it's the real deal. It doesn't help that my mom is extremely passive aggressive about this and Aubrey isn't afraid to fight back. The tension in that house is insane and I rather not deal with it but thats just me..." Aurora tugs on a ponytail in thought as they were both already reaching the park.

Dio takes a quick look at Aurora, then looks forward as they walk "Eesh, your house sounds like hell right now, if you ever feel like taking a break, my doors always open if you want. With my family at a spa resort for the next week, I'm alone in that house." He smiled. Looking back to Aurora again "look, what trying to say is... If there's anyway to help you out in all these problems you have to deal with, I'll do what I can to help" he went back to complete silence for a moment, then breathed out and sighed.

Aurora smiled gratefully "thank you Dio, that sounds wonderful! But there is nothing I can do about my problems since they really aren't mine, they're just effecting me at the moment I guess...?" Aurora shook her head "enough about the bad things! We have good things coming up and we should plan for them right?" Putting a finger to her chin, in thought Aurora asked "hooow busy are you this weekend?"

"Huh, yeah, I'm free this weekend." Dio let out a soft laugh "with my family outta town, I was probably gonna spend this weekend gaming and finishing off some homework... Why are you asking?" Dio was still accustomed to being a loner, people asking him rather obvious things would still rarely get through to him. Placing his hands in his pant pockets, he went back to his normal expression.

"Well we have to do something! I want out, on my house and Jesus knows that you need to get out more so I'm just saying let's do something!" Aurora yells excitedly and bounces on her feet. "Hell we're teenagers! Let's rob a bank for all I care as long as it's fun, right?"

"Meh, I have my doubts you could rob a bank" he gives a sarcastic smile, looking up to the sky, sighing "eeeeh, I really don't know what to do, I've never really been the kind of guy to do anything with another person, soooooo it's really up to you" he stretches his arms and arches his back backwards a little bit, then returns to normal.

Aurora was a tinsy winsy offended. "I can totally rob a bank! Especially if I really wanted to! If anyone can't rob a bank it'll be you!!!" She put her hands on her hips and glared at him. The nerve, she can rob a bank and get away with it. She sighed when she realized this was a lost case, she was talking to Dio of all people. He would argue with her just to spite her abd until she'll admit she was wrong (she isn't but he'll find a way). Aurora rolled her eyes and gave up "it doesn't matter...what do you think about idea?" Dio looked up to the sky, sighing "eeeeh, I really don't know what to do, I've never really been the kind of guy to do anything with another person, soooooo it's really up to you" he stretches his arms and arches his back backwards a little bit, then returns to normal. She frowned and put a finger on her bottom lip "well, how about we go to the mall? It gives me a opportunity to shop for dresses and for you to be around people...I'll also like your opinion...on the dresses I mean" It was a little embarrassing to admit the last part of her little speech but it was very true.

Dio let out a soft sigh, that perpetual frown still in his face "sure, sounds like a nice way to kill time after all" he really didn't feel like arguing about the bank think; it'd probably get out of hand pretty quickly anyways.

His replied kinda dampen her spirits a bit and she muttered lowly "sometime I wonder if you like hanging out with me" It made her angry that she was still a little insecure about her friendship with Dio but he can be so...so...so...so unresponsive..? She wasn't sure what was the word but at moment when he just hangs out with her "just to kill time" makes her...hurt? She's not sure and she's never sure when it come to Dio. He makes Aurora feel all kinds of different of emotions and it's never stable. Trying not to show her thoughts on her face, she smile a bit and says "well, you're on board then? Next weekend alright? No backing out!!"

Taking a salute and straightening his back; he calls out "yes sir" in a soft and quiet tone, only so quiet that it didn't attract attention, Dio gives a small chuckle and pats Aurora on the top of the head "Aurora, are you mad at me?" He'd been trying to put up a rougher and cooler facade recently, apparently girls seemed to like douchebags.

"Aurora, are you mad at me?" What a curious question. Aurora thought she was hiding her emotions well, guess not. They were insecurities that she really doesn't want Dio to know. They plague her randomly before but they're more recent now that she thought about. She doesn't like thinking about this and what it can possibly means. If she was just overthinking it or not thinking enough about it. "Why would I be mad at you? You just agreed to dress shopping! I can hear millions of girls burning in jealousy of how amazing you are; it's giving me chills!!"

Dio really couldn't help but burst into laughter "yeah, girls are so jealous that they can go on a da-... That they can't go dress shopping; some random loner boy with one friend" what he was saying was all true in a way, atleast in his eyes. He acted confident because he had to, not because he was "and I just sorta thought you seemed mad at me."

"hmm, well I wasn't so theres no use in talking about it." Aurora didn't snap at him but she also didn't close the conversation as elegantly as she wished. She tugged her pony tail nervously "um so I think we're getting closer to the park?"

"Yeah, we're only a hundred feet or so away, then round hat corner to the right" he smiled, then walked up and lightly tapped the back if her hand, accidentally of course "think we should... Hurry?"

"Hurry? Yeah sure, in fact i'm pretty sure I can go faster than you.." She turned to him and looked at him challenging, out of the two of them she's pretty sure she can win a quick run to the park.
