Welcome to Lunar Springs a rural town where rumors spread quickly, being an introvert is considered taboo, and most of all a place where many strange occurrences have been happening as of late. What kind of strange incidents? Many, inculding but not limited to disappearances, and large pitch black wolves. Nowthen that's enough about all the goings on, for it's time to start the first day.

Cleo was walking to school in the pouring rain, with the hood of her cardigan drooping just enough over her eyes to block them from view. She continued speed walking until she came across a two girls from her school, mainly identified due to their uniforms, gossiping about something. “So yea, turns out our principal is the most recent case of those disappearances.” The one on the right said unaware of blonde listening in on them. “So that means, Mr. Crayfish is the acting principal? If so then I feel sorry for freshmen this year, cause he always treats them like garbage along with some of the teachers.” The one on the left shot back, and what she said made their stalker shudder. “Yea, good thing we’re seniors now. So what are you taking?” And at that point the gossiping stopped and Cleo just tuned them out as nothing important was being said.

It was about five minutes later when she finally arrived at her school, Moondrop Private High School, and found, as she would expect given what she overheard earlier, police cars, cops, and detectives crowding around the parking lot. She sighed and walked towards the front entrance hoping that she didn’t have any of the teachers that would treat her like dirt.

It was another morning in Luna Springs. Maya got up and began her morning routine. She had been there in the town for a few days now and mostly she had been settling in. She had moved from New York and she was there on special assignment. Thus far, she hadn't fully started her investigation except to get a feel for the place as she had wondered around town the past few days. But this morning was different as she just got out of the shower, a towel drapped around her, her phone went off. She quickly checked in on it as it seem it was the town's police station, informing her of a disappearance, the local school's principal. Ofcourse, Maya wasn't exactly apart of the local PD but she still had access to their facility and information when needed. They had been prepped for her reasoning for coming down as they were the ones who had requested some additional help.

After a quick change, into some dark blue jeans, a black shirt and her white coat, Maya headed outside to her synergy green 2010 Camario... a 16th birthday present from her foster parent. Maya felt like it stood out a bit from the other cars in the town, even the police cars, but she had it fitted out with a police scanner and the likes, and she had no intention of getting a new car just to feel more 'low profile'. She made her way to the highschool, double checking her phone's GPS to make sure she was heading the right way. When she arrived, the local cops and detectives having shown up already. She walked up to one of them and, since she was still new, presented him her badge, before she began talking.

"So, what you guy's got so far?" Maya asked the man. Rapror Augustine Rapror Augustine

“Not much I’m afraid.” The detective answered Maya as he turned back to what looked like dog tracks and signs of someone being dragged away. “Just some paw prints, a torn up jacket, and drag marks.” He continued as he then pointed to the muddy paw prints. “Wonder if these belong to a wolf?” He asked due to them be slightly larger than an ordinary wolf. “Then again these look fresh, the disappearance was reported yesterday. So these could have been made after the poor sap was abducted, been hearing rumors about there being cults and the like running about lately.” He then turned to look his fellow detective in the eyes. “You think we can get anything from the students here?”

Maya listened to the detective as she took in the information. She had glanced to the wolf prints when they were pointed out towards her. She had to wonder about wolves, and rather or not they were indigenous to these parts. But they did look to be more fresh as the detective remarked. "Cults huh?" Maya said more to herself then to the officer. She made a mental note on that too, she may need to look into them or at least know a bit more about how many were around. Finally, he turned back to her as she looked back at him and she nodded at his question.

"Couldn't hurt to try," Maya said, "You don't know where I lead might turn up. But in the mean time, you should have some of your men make a cast of those prints. I can see about sending it back to New York to see if they can't identify the type of wolf that could of caused it."

She then looked over as she spotted a girl who had just arrived. Judging by the outfit, she guessed she was a student there.

"While you do that," Maya replied, "I'll go check to see if any of the students may know anything."

“Go for it.” The man replied turning back to his work.

Cleo had just walked up to the front doors and was starting to take off her cardigan, after all, she wasn’t allowed to wear it in school due to the uniform policy, when she was approached by a detective and a couple of cops who had followed her. She quickly pulled her hood back over her head to hide her eyes from them. “Um, do you need anything officers?”

Maya nodded to the detective before heading over to the girl she spotted arriving. Ofcouse, as she walked over she hadn't noticed the other officer's were heading the same way she was. When she stopped by the girl she was about to say something when the girl herself turned around and said her hello. That's when Maya noticed the officers were there too, "I got this one," Maya said to them hoping that didn't come off differently to the young girl, "Go find some others to talk too."

Maya waited before the other officers walked off before she turned to the girl. Maya hadn't really been bothered as much by the rain as it had been damping her hair. "Hey," Maya said as she smiled, trying to sound friendly, "So, I'm not sure if you've heard yet, but there was an incident last night, involving your principal. We're talking to the students here to see if anyone knows of anything that may have happened."

Cleo paused for a moment as the cops walked over to some other students. She pulled off her hood to show her eyes to the detective, as much as she didn’t want to, and looked at her with her crimson irises shining like rubies. The detective to her surprise was a woman about two years older than her, but she didn’t mention it. “No, I only found out about it on my way here. To be honest, I don’t really interact with people that often.” She answered hoping that her answer was enough for the detective.

Maya noted the red irises in the young girl. It was a bit peculiar, perhaps some colored contact lenses. But it probably wasn't important. Instead she focused on what the girl replied, "I see," Maya said to the girl making a mental note of it, "I heard something about an orientation going on yesterday, were you perhaps here during that?" Not that Maya thought she was a freshmen, but since she didn't entirely know how the orientation of the school went, she had to make sure she was thorough.

Cleo thought for a moment, the detective had noticed her eyes but it wasn’t a big enough deal to bring it up. “Yes I was there, but I had to leave before it ended due to an annual doctor’s appointment.” She replied before removing cardigan as she wasn’t in the rain anymore, she then waited for the detective’s response.

Maya nodded to the girl understanding, but maybe she could still provide with some information. "Did you perhaps witness anything odd or peculiar, while you were here?" Maya asked her, "Even the smallest bit of detail can help."

Cleo thought for a moment and pointed off into the wood near the school. “As I was leaving, I thought I heard rustling coming from the bushes in that direction.” She stated as a bell rang out. “Oh! I’m sorry but I have to get to class.” She blurted out as she turned towards the door and walked up two steps before stopping to, clear a misconception the detective might have had. “No, their not contact lenses.” She stated before climbing up the rest of the stairs and entered the school building.

Maya had glanced towards the wooded area the teen pointed too before and nodded before returning to the girl. Then the bell rang as the girl said her apologies before dashing off into the building. Not before clarifying about her eyes not having contact lenses. Maya had to assume she either caught her glance at them or perhaps she had people accuse her of it before. None-the-less, with the school bell rang, she'd probably not get much more information from them. So for the time being stopped a uniformed officer and pointed him to the area the girl mentioned and told him to check it out. While she headed into the school to see if she couldn't get a word from the faculty members.

It was lunchtime and Cleo was more than happy to be out the classroom, and just be away from everyone in general. She sat at the farthest table from the cafeteria’s entrance and had a piece of gauze applied to her right eye, the poor victim of one her classmates trying to figure out if she had on contact lenses or not by shoving her fingers into it. This day was made even worse because one of her classmates really likes wolves, and of course she was made fun of for being absolutely paralyzed by the still images he showed the class even minutes after he put them away. “It’s not like it’s my fault I have Lycophobia, especially after...” she stopped herself, this was not the time for horrific flashbacks to her past. Though as she just sat there staring off into the hallway, and saw the current acting principal, Mr. Crawford, talking to the detective that approached her earlier in the day.

Back with Maya, she had gone into the school and had a chat with the faculty about what may have happened the previous day. She didn't seem to be making much head way, but she did hear a few rumors about the acting Principal, Mr. Crawford. How he wasn't exactly the nicest individual when it came to first year students. Ofcourse, Maya couldn't rule out the fact that perhaps this Mr. Crawford was involved in the disappearance in order to become the acting principal. She wasn't sure how much she believed that just yet but it was just another reason to get ahold of Mr. Crawford, himself. So Maya headed from he teacher's lounge, heading to the Principal's office when she spotted Mr. Crawford in the hallway. She knew it was him based on what she was told of him.

"Mr. Crawford," Maya said as she finally closed the distance between them, "Could I have a word?"

“Yes?” The tall brown haired man replied, though he was a bit confused about why A detective of all people was coming to him for some reason, in fact it took him about a minute to figure out that such a reason actually exists. “Oh! You’re here about Principal Alexander’s disappearance, have you not?” He asked in a tone that almost made him sound like he had been asked about the subject before and was just sick of hearing about it.

"I take it you've been asked about this already?" Maya asked as she caught the tone in his voice. She could see that he may have been a bit agitated by the subject which could of been due to aa few reasons. Including a guilty conscious or simply was tired of the issue. Regardless she wouldn't know more about it until she asked. Rapror Augustine Rapror Augustine

“Unfortunately, and they’ve had the exact same thing to say. And I’ve told every song one the exact same thing. I was giving my usual lecture to the new students about what counts as misconduct during the time of his disappearance.” He stated without wasting any time. “In fact you may check the cameras to see such.” He added pointing to one of the cameras outside the lounge and went back to looking a papers he was going through.

"I'll be sure and do that," Maya said as she took note of his more aggressive tone, "Anyways, if you find anything, feel free to let me know." Maya said as she turned to walk away. Upon doing so she happened to see the red eyes girl, who she had found out was named Cleopatra. Except she noticed that she had gauze over one of her eyes, which caused Maya to frown a bit, "Things going on ok?" Maya asked the student. Rapror Augustine Rapror Augustine

Cleo was still moping around in her little corner of the cafeteria, when the detective from earlier came up to ask if she was ok. “Well, no, but at least this day couldn’t possibly get any worse for me.” She grumbled out the gauze applied to her right eye twitching slightly indicating that her eye was still open underneath it.” They always make remarks about my eyes, to the point some people start to test to see if my eyes are actually red, not to mention I already have a bad reputation in this town due to how I hardly leave my room.” She continued with a slight bit of exhaustion in her voice. “Not that anyone’s treated me any differently for the last six years, or even since I lost them.” She finished hoping she didn’t boor the the detective half to death.

Maya frown's slightly as the girl recounts her story. She knew all to well about what it was like to be treated badly, just because she was different. "I know all about that," Maya replied to the girl, "All I can say is stay strong. You can get through it and things will get better." Ofcourse, things did get better for Maya herself, in the form of one individual, yet she was taken from her so abruptly that, well Maya had to push the thoughts frothier mind. Now wasn't the time for that. Instead she addressed another thing that the girl mentioned, "If I may ask," Maya began, "Who's 'them'?" Rapror Augustine Rapror Augustine

Cleo sighed a bit and then turned to face Maya. “My birth parents.” She stated before closing her left eye, good lord she wanted to tear that gauze off her right eye badly, and opened it back up when she was ready to continue. “They were murdered when I was six years old by a pack of pitch black wolves, right in front of me. And they weren’t the only ones, my grandparents and baby brother were slaughtered and I was left wandering the woods our house was built in until I passed out. Soon after that I woke up in an orphanage due to one of the caretakers finding me.” She finished and and looked down. “Worst part is no one has been able to find my old house, it’s like it never existed in the first place.”

Maya could only imagine what it was like for her during that time. But she only needed to use her imagination only parts of it, "That must of been awful," Maya said to Cleo, "Though you know, I know a bit of what you went through." Maya stops as she pulls out a card from her back pocket. it was a simple looking business card with her name and contact information on it, "If you ever need to talk, just give me a call." She said handing her the card. Rapror Augustine Rapror Augustine

Cleo couldn’t help but smile as she took the card and placed it in her left skirt pocket. “Thanks, and sorry for nagging on about something like that. Besides my adoptive sister would kill me if she caught me moping about it again.” She replied and checked her phone it was almost time for lunch to be over, though that wasn’t the confusing part. Her sister had tried to contact her after her second class, before lunch, and had done so twice, not that she heard it due having it on vibrate. “That’s weird, she said she wouldn’t call me when I’m at school.”

"We all need someone to talk too," Maya said as the girl checked her phone before adopting a confused look on her face. Maya's first thoughts were of the cell phone itself, where she went to school, she wasn't allowed to have a cell phone out but then she had to remind herself that not every school had the same rules especially when it came to eletronics such as cell phones. "Must be important then," Maya said as she heard Cleo address her confusion aloud. She would of remarked on having her return her call, but again she didn't know the rules of the school when it came to that. Instead, she let her mind briefly shifted to her own stomach as it reminded her that she missed breakfast on her way over here. Rapror Augustine Rapror Augustine
