Lunar Fury - Exalted 2.5e Interest Check

I'm more than happy to help out in a pinch.

Sidenote: I think I'll stick with a northerner. Haslanti is old hat, with Snow Lion as a favored Spirit Totem option for me to boot. Also that 1000 hour Skyrim nostalgia...

This game is going to have a pretty strong combat component, so don't overlook your fighting skills. But, a social character can come in handy.

I can go more combat heavy if you think I'll need to, but I generally prefer support roles.

There's some pretty good ones even compared to Solars. Mask of White Jade forces failure on anyone trying to read your intentions or detect one of your lies. The Manipulation tree also has Labyrinth of the Beast, which lets you perfectly defend against a social attack by momentarily making yourself too stupid to comprehend what they said.

Even in a fighting game, we should have a front man of the group, someone with social and diplomatic skills. Even if you have only a few social Charms that will be very useful.

What kind of creature were you thinking about having as your totem animal? Sometimes that helps to make a good picture in your mind as to what you want.

Agreed, it doesn't really take much with Lunars to do something well. So you should have room to dabble in self-defense.

A good support role that can be used is a sorcerer. A few good spells can be a lifesaver in the right conditions.

I'm looking forward to trying to draw this character. I might leave it as a pencil sketch, since digitally redoing the character would take a ton of time.

I always work from the other direction. I decide on my character concept/caste and then pick out a suitable totem animal.

That was my second option. I'll happily go that route if you think it's a better option for what you have in mind.

Spellcasters and Social guys are both a great add-on to a party. Is there a preference that you'd like to go with?

Hmmm. Without giving out too much, a sorcerer would probably be better for you.

Since we are starting out at Essence 3, you can hit the Celestial Circle starting out with E4 for only 10 BP, and we have extra points to go around.

True, true. But, even if you do not want to go for that, a Terrestrial level spellcaster can do a lot with the right combination of spells, both in and out of combat.

I'm stuck between character concepts at the moment, pls help. I've got both a rage-machine tyrant lizard Full Moon barbarian, and a more flighty bird-aspected Full Moon swordsman. Im having trouble picking characters, please advise.

Sounds like you want Peacock Shadow Eyes, Corrupted Words, Theft of Memory, Malediction of the Distorted Compass, Mists of Eventide, Raise the Puissant Sanctum, Shadow Theft, Threefold Binding of the Heart, and Whirlwind of Fate for a support sorcerer.

Kwops Kwops Do you have a martial art in mind for either? Otherwise you will be limited to the Strength, Dexterity, and Stamina trees for combat magic.

I'm personally going with a dual wielding swordsman (woman, actually). I have a high strength, coupled with several Strength Charms to boost my damage potential. Does that help give you an idea of what directioin to go?

Archery or Martial Arts would be cool. Gives a different flavor to your character than just going for straight Strength stuff like I have.
