Fantasy Lucky 7 Guild {Not Accepting ATM}

The Magnificent

Lucky 7 Guild

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Throughout the hostile land of Ventura, monsters roam across the earth like cockroaches, and no man is safe to venture its surface. Therefore, adventuring parties were formed. These noble groups routinely raid dungeons, breeding grounds for monster. They make the land safe for travel, and make a buttload of money. The popularity of guilds has heightened in the last decade. Young lads (and lasses, we’re not sexist) seek their fortunes and a sense of adventure by raiding and pillaging. But such work is dangerous...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a fun and comedic "typical fantasy" kind of rp. If you're looking for a more relaxed time, this is for you. We have an in-depth class system, but a more simple scenario, mostly combat oriented. Are you up for the challenge? Let's go!

Well luckily for you some spots have opened up, after a raid on Draven’s Hill, several members “moved” on… and that’s where you come in!

This Saturday at the Bearded Lady Inn the surviving three members will be looking for replacements.

If you make the cut, we will depart for the Bunny Cavern for some “routine” looting.
You see the sign on a particularly grimy wall. Looks interesting...

Jacob sheepishly entered the bar and sat down in a table near the door. Jacob was never late, always punctual, so of course it made sense that he was the first to arrive. A bar maid offered him a drink, but Jacob did not trust the hygiene of any mug the inn was to dish out, so he politely declined. Why choose such an abomination for a meeting place? His two colleagues were surely insane. Jacob waited patiently, thinking deeply in meditation.

Doors flung open as a man walked in staggered in drunk. it's usually a bad sign when someone staggered into a bar drunk. Looking that he was about to collapse, he staggered to the nearest table to where his good buddy Jacob was sitting. Pulling up a chair, he sat down right next to Jacob, looking as drunk as ever "Oh hey there buddy! How's it going in the old Jacob brain?" The man looked at him with amusement "Look, I got a great idea! You'll love it!" He placed his right arm around Jacob and waved his left hand around. "You ever wonder why the sky is blue? Well? Have you!?"

Alex walked down the street, sure he was lost. I mean who would choose this part of town for a rendezvous. He was about to turn around when he saw a very familiar drunk fling himself into a bar. No, it couldn't be... He looked up and saw a sign bearing a fat, bearded lady. Whoever chose the name must be a loathsome person who hates people. He opened the door and quickly spotted Jacob and Drake (a very drunk Drake). As he strode to the table and overheard Drake's question, and as he sat he voiced, "No Drake, why is the sky blue?"

Drake looked over at Alex and pointed his finger over at a basket of fruit. "Because of Blueberries!!! So, I was thinking that, maybe, we build a giant ladder, then collect all the blueberries. We'll be rich before you can say Walter!" Drake pulled away from Jacob and stood up. "It could be called Drake's Blueberries!!! We'll be rich I tells ya!" Drake, continued to spout nonsense from cats to cheese then finally sat back down and rested his head on the table... "it's an amazing plan!"

(Drake is the one who is drunk Flood... Not Jacob, he's the victim in this situation.)

Jacob was carefully thinking of a response to Drake's question, when Alex answered for him. Then a thought popped into Jacob's head. "Quit faking it, Drake, you've pulled this one before. This is an important meeting, and will not be botched by one of your 'classic' jokes."

Ash sat in the corner by a window watching the people at different tables. Only one table had three people at it, most of the others had less but there were a few that had more. She figured those must be the guys looking for 'replacements' if only because of numbers. She planned on waiting to see who actually turned up before joining them herself. Who knows if they would even take her, she wasn't a fighter, maybe they would laugh in her face. Either way she needed time to build up her courage before going over.

One of them looked completely sloshed, and he only just walked in a few minutes ago. Maybe they would need a priestess? If he went into a fight like that there seemed to be a good chance he would get himself killed.

Drake removed his head from the table and sighed. Turning his head to look at Jacob, he had an annoyed glare. "You know, I don't remember you being the leader of this whole thing." He sat upright, then waved his hand to a waiter. "I'll take a shot of anything..." He asked then looked back at Jacob. "What was the meeting about again?"

Jacob shrunk back a little at the harsh remarks of Drake. "It's uh... Recruitment. We need people to join our guild, or you and I will be out of a job." Jacob had a tendency to say "uh" when his mind was elsewhere. He was currently trying to remember how Drake was chosen leader of the remaining few in the Lucky 7 Guild. His skill? He was just as much of a rookie as Jacob and Alex. Perhaps they drew straws. Jacob couldn't remember.

The fact that Drake had drawn the shortest straw was still fresh in Alex's mind, Why didn't I pick the one to the left, or why didn't Jacob pick the one to the right! Anyway, that was the past, and was Drake really drinking more?! "By all means Drake, we could skip the recruitment, but a guild with less than four people has a lot more paperwork to fill out, and as team leader... well...", this, of course, was a complete load, but Drake detested paperwork, and this might motivate him.

Drake placed his hand on his face, turning his head, just to look at Alex in an annoyed fashion. "I'm not taking back my drink... But fine, I'll pay Lady Focus today." Stretching his arms, he looked over as the waiter placed down a shot of alcohol. Rather quickly, he grabbed the shot and gulped it all down... He didn't feel anything. Drake turned his sight of vision towards Jacob, again rather annoyed. "So, did you bring the sign?"

Tabitha had a long black cloak on that covered her face she slowly approached the bar and looked to the sign before walking in and going straight to a seat right up at the bar as she spoke in a soft whisper to the bartender before ordering a large mug of beer and glancing around the bar not recognizing anyone she grabbed the edge of her cloak and pulled the hood of and to get her out from the inside she flipped her hair and slipped the cloak off all the way layin it on the bar ledge next to her, she sat in her chair sideways leaning on the bar slowly drinking her beer

"Uh... Sign, Sign, Sign..." Jacob patted the semi-formal vest he was wearing to see if he had any items in its pockets. "Yup! Here it is." Jacob pulled out a tiny scroll and unfurled it, holding it in front of him. It was cheezily decorated, with many painted colors and the overly ecstatic words "Welcome Guild Applicants!!!" Jacob smiled with pride as he showed the barely legible sign to his compatriots.

Drake looked at the sign, a bit baffled by it. He'd never seen a sign so... 'Unique.' On multiple occasions he tried to say something but couldn't finish it. Looking for a way to get out of this situation, he found a girl at a bar table alone, and drinking. With a smirk, he got up from his chair and looked at his allies. "Sorry folks but, I got to meet this cute girl over there." pointing in Tabitha's direction, then started walking. " I'm sure Alex can speak on my behalf." He said as he walked away from the table. Walking up to Tabitha, he placed his hand on the ledge next to her. "My, my, what is a gorgeous lady like yourself paying for her own drink?"

Tabitha blinked and looked over the guys face who had just walked up and immediately started flirting she made up her own witty comeback to his question smirking a bit " I know you see something you like, but as you can see I'm not broke and can take care of myself thank you very much...now if you could please put away the pick-up lines and run along back to your buddies, wouldn't want them to be one man short of team " she was playing hard to get and turned towards the bar finishing her beer she called the bartender over

After hearing 'Alex can speak on my behalf', Alex was about to respond with resentment, but then decided he quite liked this idea... if Drake wanders off, then we might actually recruit someone. Just as Alex was wrapping his head around the idea, he saw Drake get shot down. No, if he comes back we're doomed. Alex decided that it was for the good of the team to support Drake this one time (Jacob probably wouldn't agree). Alex mouthed the words 'Apologize' then 'Humble' to Drake, hoping he got the message, completely aware of the look Jacob was giving him.

Drake didn't seem to notice Alex whatsoever, he watched at the Barkeep walked up to where Tabitha and Drake were standing. "Ah, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it anything like that, I was just meaning why a gentleman, like myself hasn't bought you a drink yet." He then placed down some money for Tabitha and took a seat. "My name is Drake Rin, Duelist, and leader of The Lucky 7 Guild. Now, may I be honored of knowing the name of this beautiful soul right here." He continue to speak, pointing at Tabitha.

(I guess you can say Drake never noticed you Flood.... *Obnoxious Air horn noises* )

Isabella gave a small sigh and enter the bar, she needed a drink.. Sitting down at a table in the corner toward the back, she looked around at the people around her, a few catching her eye. Especially the flirt who got rejected. She smirked and shook her head though her thoughts were interrupted when a woman asked for her drink "A large mug of beer please." she replied softly, leaning back in her chair and continued to look around at the small group.

Seeing that his sign was completely unnoticed, Jacob wandered what he did wrong. He worked on it all night last night. Seeing that his co-workers had apparently completely shifted their attention. (Was Alex trying to be a long-distance wingman?) He simply spread the sign, and showed it to the various tables around the room, seeing if it caught anyone's eye. (Also, he wanted to show of his beautiful artwork :P )

Tabitha chuckled and looked back to Drake after ordering herself a shot " Gentleman? I could tell you where flirting... " she had heard his little introduction and glanced to the table he had come from and bak to him " Tabitha Shono " was all she said to introduce herself since it wasn't wise to go and tell everyone she was a theif

Drake shrugged at her gentleman comment and looked at Tabitha "Tabitha? Well, isn't that a beautiful, yet strong name. I assume you share those traits?" Drake asked in a soft, charming voice. He continued to try to make small talk, "So, what brings you here at The Bearded Lady Inn? A simple drink, meeting someone?" Drake smiled as he stroked his chin, realizing he didn't have any hair to stroke.

Tabitha was about to answer his first question when she heard the last one which made her laugh a bit she shook her head " Hell no, I'm not meeting anyone " she smiled and then took her shot quickly letting it sit in her mouth for a moment before swallowing

Drake had seemed to have shrugged off the original insult (he assumed it was an insult) and had gained enough steam to hold a conversation for awhile, satisfied, Alex returned his attention to Jacob, who was now holding up his sign as if we were some sort of street vender. Alex sighed and signaled the barkeep for a beer by holding up one finger. It was going to be awhile.

Drake, looked at Tabitha and scratched his head, "Oh, you seem to have a quick reaction to what I said? Bad memories?" Drake asked curiously

Tabitha blinked and froze when he asked if she had any bad memories feeling a stab of emotion she grabbed her cloak and put it on getting ready to leave she stood up and turned towards the door
