The Flame of Kamura

The ballroom was filled to the brim with people, nobles and royals alike dancing or wandering or finding their way to the long table with assorted snacks and fancy foods to eat. Currently a fast paced song was being played masterfully by a handful of hired bards on the King's request. Only one of them was Fae, and a male at that. He was a very rare sight to see these days, and even rarer that he was a free man.
He made a wonderful bard, though, a true master of his fiddle, despite missing an eye as evidenced by his eyepatch over his right eye socket. He also had a glorious pair of feathered wings and a feathered tail, the feathers a pitch black with an iridescent sheen when the lights hit them just right. No normal human could deny that he was handsome, even if missing an eye had marred his face.
The song eventually came to an end, and the bards would be given a short break to rest before their next song. Krow put down his fiddle and took the chance to stretch his wings, not caring if his wing span became distracting or not.
