I can't keep having drop this rp right in the middle of it...and then when I try and invite others they decline because we're too into the rp...gosh this sucks...I worked so hard on this and I really don't want to do a third reboot


 
Should I just restart the time skip? Like...delete everyone's posts and start over after the party? I really don't want to delete everyones posts...

I'm not personally opposed to rewinding the clock (but I've also written a lot less than others, so my opinion shouldn't be weighed as heavily as theirs). But doesn't that still leave Caden without a partner? It's clear you've spent so much time on this, but would you consider a tiny (big) change to the idea? What if, rather than have everyone stick with their same partners throughout the whole project, they rotate between a few? As far as pairing different stereotypes, it might be interesting to see how your character might interact with the party animal or the wallflower.


I know building relationships with specific people may be a little more difficult, but it's totally possible. Plus, it would encourage everyone to break away from roleplaying with the same two or three people, and it might cultivate some exciting, new and somewhat atypical relationships as well. I personally love my partner (shout out to @KaoriMei) and I love what's going on with our characters, but it does seem unbalanced and a tad unfair that some of us have great writing partners who engage in OOC plotting and chatting while others' partners just disappear. You shouldn't have to keep replacing your partner (no one should). Maybe if we rotate the characters of the people in this RP who are loyal and invested, then you won't have to keep doing that.


It's just a thought. I really want this to work for you, Stoked.

Sorry that I haven't been responding as much as of late. But I'm here now. Also I agree with @Pluvious that does sound pretty interesting. I would hate to see this RP die out if that's whats about to happen. I was really enjoying it.

why don't we just take out the jock and the perfectionist? b/c thats one male and one female so it evens things out


this roleplay could still work very well with 10 pairs instead of 11

Ok the Jock and Perfectionist are out!! So it's just 10 now!! We will be starting the first assignment over mainly cause I can't have people dropping out in the middle of an event, it throws people off and messes everything up

Also, may I make a request to possibly keep my current partner for the next assignment? I only ask because I'll be on an airplane for most of Friday, and at family functions most of Saturday which won't give me time to adequately finish up the first assignment or establish a framework for future interactions between our characters. If not, I understand. I'm sure @KaoriMei and I can work something out anyway.

I'm currently swamped with RPs, online school, and then regular school is starting in like two weeks for me.


If o have to post three or four times a day I won't be able to join ;-;


But if I can post like once every one, two or three days thens i'll think about it over night~

Well you don't have to post three times a day, I'll actually remove that but whenever you can post will be fine with me, we are doing partner rotations also so you won't have the same partner for each assignment

@Halcyon Hi there! Hope I'm not intruding in your guys' conversation. If it helps, I consider myself relatively active in this roleplay, but I don't even post once a day. Since the roleplay began, I've gotten in...4 posts? Maybe 5? What's great about it is it's kind of as fast as you want it to be. We try not to dilly dally, of course, out of consideration for our partners, but there doesn't seem to be any pressure from anyone to post immediately and multiple times a day.

I'm leaning towards yes (after re-reading everything) but I still want to sleep on it.


That being said, when I start regular school, plus my next online course, plus volunteer work, this would be the first rp I drop out of if it becomes too much to handle.


(Unless I become fully engrossed in it, which so far I'm fascinated by the concept which might just so happen)
