I got an idea for why Elodie is where she is with Roxy. Maybe she saw the photo, and explored, etc. She decided she'd go back downstairs and as she opened the door, Roxy ran passed her. When Elodie finally found the dog, she tried to get Roxy to go back with her but was unsuccessful and because she didn't feel safe leaving Roxy alone, she stayed with her. ? I don't know. The best I could think of. My mind is overflowing with ideas for Carter's dad right now so. LMAO.
